Well, it's like this.
You host an image on a site that's password protected. When the image loads on Gaia, the site prompts you to log in.
The people just make the login prompt look like it comes from Gaia to trick people into putting in their Gaian login info.
And all they have to do to pull it off is put this image in their sigs.
