Novel of Tragedy Farferalloie I bought a transverse flute made out of bamboo today! 'Tis awesome sounding, though I really need to get a book of music and a case for it, which only cost three dollars each from the same place I purchased it from. Very decently priced to, 26 dollars for a key of C, it's the largest they make. Sweet! I think i'm buying a Brannen flute soon. I can't wait. That's like, the best of the best. So it's exciting. Supposedly the best, but also wicked expensive. If I were to buy a professional flute it would be a McKenna.

I was going to wait until next year to get it, but I'm going to need a little while to break it in and get adjustments on it if I want them. Plus if I wait until next year I may not have it in time for college auditions. Yesterday my mom said we can go to the flute place and place orders on a bunch of them for me to try biggrin

Keltzy Either I am blind and didn't read the board right, or there are no flute topics. I saw other instrument topics so I thought I'd make one too. Um flute players, any of out there? Today was our first day of school and my first day playing with a different band. I was different, probably 'cause most the class forgot their instruments. sweatdrop We played pep band music, and I felt weird, 'cause the other two flutes were organizing stuff . . . But enough of my ranting, please, come talk!! hello!!!! tommorow is our first day of school (on a friday????), but or band practices have already started....of course that might be cause i'm in marching band... but i'm startin high school so it's a diffrent band for me too and it's lots harder than middle school band... and confusinger.....

Norasaurus weeeee! i'm a flute. just started marching band. i loooove it and i don't think i've used the term "this one time at band camp.." yet b/c... well i don't know why. it annoys me that they made an american pie movie about band camp. they just had to take something good like band and fill it with stupid, horny, pissy teenagers. stare it makes me sad. mmm anyways. it annoys me that guard is considered part of the band (at least in my band) b/c i know they do work with the band, but they don't even play instruments! oh well. just another petpeev. flutes rock, everyone! mrgreen yup (about the american pie movie) my friend said that over and over whenever i mentioned band camp and i finally yelled at her and she stopped *evil laughter*.....

Ya, shopping around is the best option, look before you spend several thousand dollars. xD So, do you know if you're getting any of the fancy extras? Split E mechanism or a high E facilitator? A gizmo key should be automatic, same with french pointed arms. Oh! And inline or offset G?
