"Eep!"
F-f-fight!? Shad hurriedly dropped from his chair and ducked down... and a clamburger sailed right past and nailed his beret, knocking it clean off his head! Shad hurriedly felt his scalp for wounds inflicted but found only no beret, and his hair greasy from the burger and condiments.
"Oh that is SO not the very!"
Shad huffed and grabbed a handful of his chipped beast on toast and readied to throw...
SPLAT!
He wiped the smashed bootatoes from his face and flung it to the floor! Shad reared his arm back for another toss attempt...
SPLAT!
He wiped the pudding from his face and threw it to the floor in a gloppy mess! He then started to throw again, when he dove down beneath he table and missed a hunk of chocolate cake sailing though the air! Shad jumped up and laughed!
"HA! You miss-" SPLAT!

"Oh my ghoul!"
Layla cried, wincing as she flinched, foods of every shape, size and texture flying past her as she drew her hands up to shield herself if something came near.
Kai's eyes opened wide as his tail started to rattle with his 'danger sense...
"You're all acting so juveni-"
SPLAT!
Kai ducked and Layla took a large helping of mac and cheese full on to the face! The greasy yellow cheese and boodles slowly slid down off of her luxuriously styled hair and dripped from her face. She reached up with her claws and wiped her eyes clean and looked at Kai who simply was staring... and then she heard snickering and saw Bram De Vein and Gorey pointing at her and laughing...
Layla calmly reached down, grasped her food-laden tray in both hands, brought it up high -- and flung the contents right at them! Bram changed into a bat and swerved away -- and Gorey took the assault full on!

*taptaptap*"Pardon me, Drakie?"Draconia turned and saw her little bluddy Glen completely covered from head to toe with seemingly a little bit of everything in the creepateria food line -- and then some!"Might I borrow your pepper pudding?"

Nero adjusted his fresh jacket as he headed towards the creepeteria. The day was looking up. He was no longer sticky, the vending machine gave him an extra can of Mountgrim Boo, Gryff was crouched next the creepeteria door and tapping furiously on his phone, the big game was coming up...
In retrospect, one of those things should have tipped him off that all was not as usual at Monster High.
"Hey, what're you doing dow~" he asked as he opened the creepeteria door. Gryff looked up just in time to see a bowl of roman arc out the open door and land squarely on Nero's head.
"AGH!"
"Foxhole," Gryff smirked, as the contents of the creepeteria continued to rocket out. He was shielded by the open door and Snickering up a storm to a host of new followers. He snapped a picture of Nero and quickly uploaded it to Instagrim.
A strawscary moon pie exploded against Nero's chest and his crisp white shirt. He fell to his knees.
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"Don't make such a production out of it, you can buy another 50 of them at any maul in the country for less than the cost of a hexpresso. That's what foreign sweat shop labor will get you," Gryff muttered, uploading 6 continuous looped seconds of Nero's scream to Vine.
"My shirt, my jacket, my BLING!" Nero wailed, trying to pick raisins out of his fresh gold chain. "THIS IS WAR!"
He charged into the lunchroom, grabbed the nearest food item he could and threw it as hard as he could into the middle of the fray. It was some kind of pie, barreling blindly towards an unlucky student. Somewhere, Dashner screamed.

Harry had sent that Corpserate Suit packing! After vanquishing his Totally Square foe, Harry had begun to hextort the virtues of the BOJANGLES and of Woestock when the food fright began. He looked on in horror as mystery meat and enigmatic eats flew through the air. Monstesr all over went down under a barrage of baked goods and peppering of pickles. OH THE MONSTERMANITY!
"Dudes and dudettes! Violence is never the answer! Give peace a chance! Aren't we all dust in the-"
Harry was blasted off the table by a volley of jello. A riot of colors smeared him from head to toe.
"Ooo, psychedelic."

Nathair grabbed his cleared tray and used it as a shield as he coiled himself as low as he could under the table.
Perry on the other hand was cackling like mad as he grabbed up fistfulls of anything lying around and joined in the fight with vigour.
"Atomica... can I take a moment to say..." He was hit square in the back of the head by a bowl of noodles and stumbled forward a little, turning and hurling the remains of his drink in that direction. "YOU ROCK!"
He grabbed up his own tray to use as a shield, deflecting a few burger buns and a glob of what was possibly custard pudding.
Now THIS beat a pep rally any day.

Ronan was of course distracted by the muffin hitting him in the head, he ducked down to examine whatever had hit him just as the food fight broke out around him. Booberry muffins? those weren't on the menu today... He looked up, could these be the same muffins... there was Perry Hartley, quite enthusiastically joining in the food fight. Nearby was Atomica.
Was she envious of his muffins? Was he upset about the muffins? oh dear, perhaps he should have gone with the shocklate.
A bowl of jello landed on his head with a squelch. Ew.
With a deep sigh, he pulled off his sticky hat and found a table to hide under.

Draconia sighed as she handed over the last of her pepper pudding to Glen. At least it was going towards a worthy cause.
A drink flew at Draconia and bounced off her wings. She thanked goodness she had Physical Deaducation after this. The opportunity to shower after lunch was one not every monster would get.
With sandwitches and chips and occasionally an entire smoothie sailing by, Draconia tried to keep up some level of decorum and politeness for the new ghoul sitting at their table.
"As I was saying," Draconia continued speaking to Arillena as a baked potato with all the fixings bounced off her head and hit Falconnie Hawke behind her. "The Graveball game tonight is going to be quite hexciting. Are you going?"

"Hm?" Arillena almost didn't hear Draconia's question for she had dove under the lunch table in panic as people started shouting. Peering back up she glanced around then back at the Dragoness. "Grave ball? Oh! Yes I think I can make it~" The Fae didn't exactly recall what exactly a Grave Ball was... "That's a sport here right? Not a Formal Occasion?" Better safe then sorry. The Changling continued to hide slightly and opened her lunch with was composed of a small cake with white icing. She looked around as food was throw everywhere and thankful that her Reflexes allowed her to dodge several incoming attacks so far. "Um... I-Is this normal?" She asked ducking down a bit more. Any Confrontation violent or otherwise made the girl nervous. And Draconia was acting as if nothing was happening.

Meanwhile, in the Die-brary...
Marceline pressed a gigantic Dead Languages book tightly to her chest as she slinked to a far corner of the Die-brary; there wasn't a Study Howl this feariod, though a smattering of monsters -- herself included -- opted to spend their lurch feariod here. She admittedly was avoiding Rory after what transpired that morning, but she did have a purpose for spending her time there that day: she had some research to do.
Finding a corner of soft, cobweb-covered armchairs that had yet to be occupied, she slumped into one with her back to the rest of the Die-brary. Marceline glanced over her shoulder, making fully sure she was alone, before releasing the book from her clutches -- a literal cover for her true intentions. Issues of Monster Beat and Sevenscream poured out into her lap. She flipped through the top issue on the stack, turning past pages of makeover suggestions and haunt couture ads, stopping on the advice column. Her golden eyes scanned every word, searching for specific words...
"Ughhhhhh....?" A tap came on Marceline's bony shoulder and she nearly jumped out of whatever skin she had left.
"Ah!! Oh, h---hey Ghoulia!!" Marceline scrambled to close her magazine before Ghoulia could get a glimpse. "I was jus' uhm... Lookin' for that new art'cle 'bout Casta --"
"Eughhh..." Ghoulia rolled her eyes, one at a time.
"You're right..." Marceline sighed. "I jus'... Wasn't sure where else t'look, how to... fig're things out."
"Ughhh..."
"I know, I shouldn't be jealous. I jus' can't help it! I never seen him look at 'nother ghoul like that b'fore today..."
"Euhhh?" Ghoulia's eyebrow arched a bit.
"'Like how'? I'dunno... He just... smiles a lot at her an' is super nice, an'...an'..." Marceline trailed off. Now that she thought about it, there really was no grounds for her to believe that Rory had any interest in Arillena. "But...! He talks about her a clawful lot--"
"Eughh..." Ghoulia rolled her eyes again.
"You're right, she's new, he's just bein' friendly. Jus' like we were when he started at Monster High... Oh, Ghoulia, I've made a huge mistake! I need to go fix things... thanks so much, ghoul!" Marceline gave her friend a quick hug before dashing out of the Die-brary, leaving her books and magazines behind...
Ghoulia glanced around, making sure no other monsters were around, before picking up the top issue of Sevenscream and flipping it open with a grin.

Arillena "Um... I-Is this normal?" "Well...abnormal, at least." Draconia deflected another pot roast. "You must understand, there is a lot of tension built up because of the big game tonight, finals pending-" She quickly dodged left as a ham sand-witch sailed by."And quite frankly, we have several rather boisterous sorts at this school needing badly of a release. You can't tell me there was never a food fright at your old school?" She asked, as she unsuccessfully tried to avoid a hot dog that bounced off her left wing and landed in Glen's Red Ghoul can. "It will be over when everyone runs out of food to fling, I do assure you."

The second the word 'Foooooood' escaped from Heath Burns' mouth, all of the shine seemed to drain out of Rory's face.
"Ohno." By the time Heath had spat out the word 'fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight,' Rory was underneath the Creepateria table, a lunch tray being held firmly on his head. Flying food was DANGEROUS!
"Graveball is a lot of fun to watch!" He tried to join in the conversation, even if all he could see was Draconia and Arillena's knees. "There's running, and punting, and a lot of tackling that happens. I'd say it's my second favorite spectator sport behind Roller Maze."
Of course, that was because Marceline was on the Roller Maze team. Rory hoped that she had managed to miss this food war as he ducked down even further underneath the table.

Thanks to his tail rattling 'early warning system,' Kai had managed to get through this food fight relatively unscathed. Not that it really mattered, as Art Class had rendered his clothes covered in multi-hued paint splatters anyways. Kai maneuvered over to Harry to check on him. He wasn't sure how the new kid was going to react to being plastered with jell-o in all the colors of the rainbow.
"Hey, Harry, you okay?" He asked his bluddy as he helped Harry get down from the tabletop without slipping.
"Sure manster, I feel like I'm one with lunch." Harry replied. He looked down at the dribbling mass clinging to him. "I'm one with red, blue, purple, yellow..."
"Yeah, I'm seeing some fuscia, pink, cerulean..." Kai agreed as he looked at the back of Harry's head. "That's actually a pretty clawesome pallet."
Harry's eyes got wide. Suddenly, he turned and grabbed Kai by the shoulders.
"Kai! Compadre! Bluddy for un-life!"
"Uh...yes?" Kai responded to Harry's panic.
"You don't see any....puce on me, do you?!"
"I, uh....puce? Why?"
"I'm allergic to puce, manster! DEADLY ALLERGIC!"

Atomica's muffin-throwing action had the desired consequence - Ronan and Gryff had not left the Creepateria. Unfortunately, the secondary consequence - the starting of a Creepateria-wide food fright - had made it impossible for her ocular scanners to locate Ronan, Gryff, Harry, Lin or Bobby Tube, who had started this whole mess in the first place!
"ATTENTION! ATTENTION ALL STUDENT BODIES!" Atomica called out, climbing up on a creepateria table to try to be better seen. "I started this food fright, and now I demand you cease it! Heed my command!"
"Oh, YOU started this, Ms. Servo?" Atomica turned around, just in time to see the crossed-arm glare of a mashed potato-clad Headless Headmistress. "Well, that's convenient. Usually the student responsible doesn't get up on a table and announce it to the world."
Atomica realized that she had executed a grave miscalculation.
"Eep." Her vocal box squeaked. "I mean... I didn't intend...there was a factoring error..."
Atomica's memory core attempted to push out too many hexplanations at once and as a result, she was stuck just spewing out sentence fragments. A large helping of scary's jubilee hitting her on the side of the head didn't help things, either.
"What is your next class, Ms. Servo?" The Headmistress asked.
"Trigular calculometry." Atomica squeaked out. For some reason, her audio speaker refused to raise up above level 3.
"I'm afraid I will have to inform Mr. Lou Zarr that you will be missing that class as you assist the lurch ladies in cleaning up this mess after lunch. Is that understood?"
"Yes, Headmistress." Atomica agreed, as a cheeseburger landed in her ponytail. Internally, Atomica started running an analysis...was the consequence worth the outcome? Would Gryff and Lin accept her back as their friend?
At the very least, the appearance of the Headmistress and the dwindling supply of un-flung food meant that the food fright was nearing its end. But that also meant that the lurch period was almost over...and Atomica had no answers!

Ronan watched Atomica as she tried to explain, looked down at the muffin still clutched in his hand and slowly an idea formed. He owed Atomica his unlife... much as he was loathe to admit it, she wasn't such a terrible ghoul after all.
And apparently these muffins had instigated the whole affair anyway, which was probably his fault. Yes, that was exactly it. She'd hurled this at him because she was upset he'd sent Perry an apology but hadn't done the same for her! What an oversight, what a miscalculation!
He clambered out from under the table and called out.
"Miss... Miss Bloodgood?"
The headmistress turned, frowning a little at the flustered selkie.
"This.. this is my fault Headmistress."
"What?" Atomica gaped.
Ronan held up the muffin. "I believe I am responsible. this is the projectile that started this affair... "
Perry hopped down from the table to listen to this.
"a muffin?" The headmisstress didn't look convinced.
"Yes Madam, I intended to send Atomica something as well but I was uncertain as to the appropriateness of muffins for a.. monster of her particular composition."
"You mean you didn't know if robots could eat muffins." Perry interrupted.
"Yes. Exactly. " Ronan looked to Atomica. "please, forgive my faux pas. I did not mean to cause you any distress. "
"What are you?"
"you know what? I don't care who started it. You're so eager to take responsibility, so be it. BOTH of you can help clean up this mess." Headmistress Bloodgood turned on her heel and strode from the creepateria.
