Cissnei didn't wait another second after the Shuriken was back in her hand, before rushing to the computer at Rufus's desk and getting to work as quickly as she could. Something of this sort wasn't exactly an easy thing to get into, and it was due to the luck of it being here, at his desk already opened that she was able to move so quickly, and get right into the program she needed to be. While Ephraim fought against Rufus, keeping him away from the computer, Cissnei would bring the cursor over the Midgar Project file, where she would see the bombs placed at the plates around the city. With a few commands and clicks, all of the bombs placed would be completely shut down, before a trigger to self distruct would short out their systems. There would be no explosions as they shorted out, but while they were now nothing more then paper weights, they would still need to be removed. "It's done! The bombs have been deactivated, and destroyed! You have lost, Rufus! " Well, she would like to have believed that, but for the moment came when he decided to grab a backpack and run for the window, completely shattering it with that disfigured arm, it was amazing how fast he was, even after all the damage he took from Ephraim's weapon. Just how much more powerful was these cells 'gifted' to him? How could he move so fast?! For the most part, the biggest threat to the city was avoided, and they could at the very least, breath a little easier. "They are finished, they can no longer pose a danger to the city, though we should still retrieve them. " She stepped away from the computer, standing to walk towards him, and with a small raise of her hand, he would feel the soothing affects of a healing magic wash over him, completely healing any injuries he received during his fight with Rufus.. "He may of gotten away, but the threat to the city is gone..All thanks to you.." She stepped forward once more, slightly bowing apologetically. It wasn't even due to him being a king, but out of the guilt of what she had to do to make this happen. "I'm sorry I couldn't tell you anything..I couldn't chance risking this, one mistake and, it may not have gone so well...I knew I could trust you.." She tried to smile, it was faint, but still a smile. "I'm glad you were able to catch on as quickly as you did! " She glanced away, towards the open doorway. "I have something in the other room I need to grab before we do anything else, it may help answer any questions and give us more on what he was trying to do. "

"I know I must place my duty as a commander above my life as a man. And once I am crowned, I most certainly will do exactly that.
However, I am not ready to divorce myself from my compassion just yet. I will find the balance somehow, the means to save my country and her people.
That is the king I wish to become, and so that is the man I must be."

Ephraim nodded as she confirmed the bombs had been disarmed. That was the primary mission at least, and between that and Shinra's evacuation of Midgar, there would be nothing stopping Avalanche from returning. "Thank you." He said after she healed him. "All thanks to-? You're the one who came up with the plan, utterly and impressively defeated me, took control of the system, directed me here, and disarmed the bombs. No, Cissnei, I am not the hero here. You are. And I admire the cunning and resolve you showed." She may have seen him as the hero who saved the city and herself as the helper, but it was the other way around entirely. She was responsible for all of this, every step of the way. He only did a little to help her. "Well, it may have saved my pride being crushed beneath your heel to have known... but it's quite all right. You were right to handle it the way you did." Not like she was the only one to step on his pride on that cursed island!
A moment later, a voice would come from the computer. "Unauthorized access." It said, calling both their attention to the screen. Then, a number appeared on the screen. 5? ...4... 3...
A wave of realization triggered his instincts, and he reached down, grabbing one of the parachutes Rufus had left behind, and then grabbing Cissnei and leaping out the same window he had destroyed! And not a moment too soon, if the large explosion behind them was any indication, completely destroying his entire office. It would seem, even though she had managed to disarm the bombs, there were contingencies in place to prevent anyone getting anything useful off that computer. It was lucky for both of them that she could work as fast as she did!
Ephraim wasn't exactly a fan of this free fall they were in as he scrambled to get the parachute around his shoulders, but he managed, and pulled the cord. "Hold on!" The parachute opened, finally slowing their descent towards the city of Midgar, which would now have to be their destination as Ephraim descended while carrying the Turk in a comfortable position--a princess carry. "Well, sorry to interrupt that..." He said, referring to her intention to go retrieve something. That computer clearly had other ideas! "Are you all right?" That was all a little sudden. After making sure she was okay, he nodded, pausing a moment. "...You know, if you do want to thank me, I would like a rematch. We can see if the hex was really there, and responsible for your victory. I won't lose a second time!" Of course that would be on Ephraim's mind, even now! He paused a moment. He felt a little closer to her--certainly more than strangers now. Maybe now would be an appropriate time... "...And if you manage to defeat me again, well, I suppose I'll have no choice but to submit to your... bondage." He added playfully. Yes, after how rather cute her flustered response to Rose earlier was, he just had to poke a little fun. In a way it reminded him of when Eirika became flustered! And he'd always have fun with that.

"Oh.." A soft coloration of pink came over her face as she glanced down a moment. "I wouldn't say that, exactly...If it wasn't for that hex placed on you, I wouldn't be so confidant about defeating you so easily! Also, without you...this would not have been possible." For a moment there, as her hands rested in front of her and her face remained that tone of pink, the incredibly skilled ex-Turk could be seen as a little bashful! It wasn't everyday a Turk was seen in such a moment! " So I am very grateful for that.So thank you.." She added again, he deserved to take some credit for this too! "You may be alright with everything, but what of your friends? Your wife, and your sister? I fear they will not be so forgiving.." Especially L'Arachel, she looked so innocent, yet she seen enough of her to know she was pretty terrifying to have as an enemy! That woman was wild!
Before she could go on to say anything more, her attention was drawn to the computer that suddenly, alarmingly began to speak...How did she miss THAT?! "The drive!!" Cissnei turned, about to rush for the other room next door that contained the copied data, only to be grabbed suddenly and barely seconds later, they were both out the window, and falling! Not a feeling she particularly enjoyed, but surly better then...being blown up!!
Clinging to him, her arms remained around his neck, but not dangerously to cut off his air supply while he struggled to get the parachute around him. This whole mission was hardly remotely as terrifying as this moment, what if he couldn't get the cord, or it didn't open at all?

That terrible fate was avoided when the parachute opened up suddenly, causing a bit of a jolt of the two as it caught the wind, and began to slow their descent down. After a moment, as her mind began to calm down, and realization hit her...it came to her attention the position she was in, in his arms.."....." Her face once again began to light up, in the most silliest of moments. They were still dropping to the ground, even then she found herself blushing the moment she realized how he was holding her! "...I'm ...I'm fine! " She responded, clearly she was fine, but her mind was a little all over the place! It didn't help her nervousness one bit at what he began to say. Dueling was one thing, but..... "B-bondage?? " Well, that did it. Her face was about as red as a crimson rose! "Y-you are secretly a huge flirt aren't you?! "

Ephraim waved his hand dismissively. "I did nothing special. Cloud or Zack could've muscled their way through here just as effectively I'm sure, or a few others. What made the mission a success was your planning and direction." Perhaps he was underselling his contributions, given that his strength combined with Siegmund allowed the battle against Rufus to be so smooth in a way it might not have been with Cloud or Zack. Likely they still would've won, but it might not have been so clean. Still, the majority of credit belonged with Cissnei. "Think nothing of it." As her next words came, Ephraim crossed his arms, thinking for a moment. "I'm certain the others will understand the necessity in your actions. ...Though... maybe we can leave some details out when recounting the story to L'Arachel." Yes, she certainly had a point on that one. L'Arachel might not be so pleased to hear Cissnei purposefully endangered him! Not that Ephraim was averse to danger or reckless action, but it went without saying she wouldn't appreciate someone making that choice for him. Regardless if it bothered him, he could understand her perspective--he'd feel the same if the roles were reversed. "And even if you defeated me, I wouldn't like your chances against her." He said with mild playfulness in his voice. Obviously her victory over him may or may not have been all her own doing, but it was still true either way--L'Arachel's magic could be truly terrifying!
The next few moments seemed to go by in a frantic blur as Ephraim tried to ensure neither of them died from falling damage. That would be QUITE the unfortunate turn of events, to succeed at the rest of the mission only to die in a rather lame way right after. Still, the parachute was luckily not a dud, and the two were treated to a slow descent, all the while Shinra's troops were scrambling below them like ants moving to another hill. By the time they reached the ground from THIS high up, it was likely most if not all of them would be cleared out. "Relax, I won't drop you." Classic dense Ephraim, believing that was what had her all flustered. His attempt to tease her a bit only caused him to create misunderstandings, and caused him to look a little panicked in the process! "What? No, of course not! I just- you reminded me of Eirika, so- I often like to tease her, and... I certainly don't flirt around, especially not behind L'Arachel's back!" He almost seemed offended at the thought! And a little terrified of his wife's wrath if she were given the wrong idea! Though, realistically... the two likely trusted each other enough to turn their wrath on the one spreading false ideas if anything! "You have the wrong idea about me!" The idea that Ephraim was a huge flirt was rather laughable to anyone who knew him, really. He practically never even showed signs of understanding what romance was until meeting L'Arachel! And the same was really true both ways. They were certainly a unique couple...

They could probably go on the rest of their time here on who was responsible for this victory, maybe he took it as a challenge until she gave him and admitted she was the 'hero' of the day? Clearly that wasn't true, not in Cissnei's eyes. So she would not admit it! "Let's equally take the credit then, or I feel we will be at this topic for the rest of our time spent here! " She had a playfulness in her voice, just another rare thing from Cissnei today! Sure, she could have tried Cloud, or Zack, Though she knew that would be far to risky. Their faces were way to known around here, anyone could put two and two together, and suspect things. It wasn't worth a single suspicion. "You mean of the part where I defeat you, and kidnap you, then take you to the most dangerous place? Yes, I will avoid telling her the exact details! " There was a hint of playfulness in her voice still, however, leaving him to question if she was serious, or not. The answer was, she wasn't completely. Hiding details, even if she wasn't proud of them, would be worse in the long run. If everyone else knew the truth, while L'Arachel was left in the dark in certain aspects of what exactly went on, it could cause problems and trust issues she didn't want to be the cause of! "All jokes aside, well, I definitely don't look forward to the wrath she will bring..Let it be my last mission as a Turk! " To face L'Arachel. That was her last mission! Quite the amusing task to face.
As the next few minutes became a slow falling descent from top of the ShinRa Tower, the topic of their conversation, while in midair, was almost as humorous as their earlier conversation! With now the both of them terribly flustered and red on the face, it wasn't until they reached the ground that Cissnei let herself down from his arms! As comfortable she couldn't admit it was. Kind of a shame, really, she probably would never experience a moment like that again! With her still red face, the faintest hint of a laugh escaped as she returned her attention to the flustered kings eyes. From such a serious mission, and even more serious situation they just survived, and now the two were blushing so madly, it was quite the scene! "Maybe leave the bondage jokes aside, and leave them to that strange girl to confuse instead? " She crossed her arms a bit, that playful smile returning to her features. "I can see how much you love her, don't worry. I understand now! " For now, though, they should probably focus on the surroundings, there was no telling if anyone might try to attack them, what Rufus may of already said or warned about, best to keep their eyes open from here on out. "In any case, we should find a new means of transportation..I am sure by now, they've revoked my ability to use the helicopters, the submarine, however...I may of adjusted aa few things, and removed certain tracking devices, so they have no idea where it is located. I just need to get us back to Junon. After we have made sure the city is safe, will you be okay with riding a Chocobo? "

There was no denying Phoenix was rather extreme in her ways, fearless and prideful, but for some, she was a complete nightmare to deal with! --And not so much of the way of being utterly powerful, as she would hope for, but more so, because she could be very irritating and persistent when she wanted to 'show off her skills', and take out trouble makers in the process!
With everyone having left the ship and starting on their way to Midgar, Phoenix decided to go on ahead and see that things were safe, only to find that they were not. Clearly ShinRa was up to something again, and despite the fact that it was the citizens that had to put up with those terrors, the sweet fiery princess couldn't help but feel a bit of excitement rush through her. The thrill of a possible battle, defeating Soldiers and their little infantrymen seemed like the perfect day to her. Storming ShinRa Tower, a really, really perfect day!

Although she was in human form, the fiery wings at her back would clearly show how not so human she was, as they would carry her to her destination of choice -- The ShinRa Building. So willing they were to start more trouble, and so willing she was to personally accept it, and return right back at them! Starting with the President of ShinRa's office..
Had he actually been there, he would be jolted by the sound of shattering glass as a small explosion rocketed his personal office, filled with a fiery ploom as she litterally busted through the window with fierce fiery energy.

"Little trouble maker, come out, come out, where ever you are.~ _" She said in a taunting voice.

Phoenix may notice as she was flying towards the building that there was a brilliant streak of pink energy flashing across the air below her, at a blinding speed that may make her jealous. Speeding through the air like a bullet, it was no time at all before it entered the Shinra Building, and almost instantly, a pink explosion of energy shot through the windows on the first floor, shattering the glass as the energy blasted through, then the second, then the third, then the fourth--every single one less than a second apart and not showing any signs of stopping in its ascent. By the time Phoenix would reach her destination, it was clear by the frequent bursts of pink energy that she was getting the silver medal, and once she arrived she'd see an unfamiliar man on the ground, and above him, a young woman with a white ponytail. Streaks of pink were in her hair, and her blue eyes shined with a unique glowing pink diamond pattern. Floating next to her hips were two "wings" jettisoning that same pink energy Phoenix must have seen on her way here, confirming who that belonged to--not that there was much doubt. Glancing back now, to the girl that radiated an aura of fire--Kiana was quickly taken back to long ago. To a woman to whom she could no longer speak. A woman gone, because of her--but her bygone reminiscence lasted only a moment, before she would turn fully to the girl now, much smaller than the one she called to mind. Tossing her gun up, she grabbed it out of the air, spinning it a couple of times as she moved a hand to her hip, shifting her weight. Beside her, Phoenix would notice a sword that looked very similar to the gun stabbed into the ground. "Friend, or foe?" She asked politely, yet something about... how quickly she tore through the legions of infantrymen and SOLDIERs like they were wet tissue paper certainly made one of those options seem more appealing than the other.

"..........................." Phoenix may not of realized, just how long she stood there in complete bewilderment, practically staring down the mysterious woman. A mix of emotions running through her, jealousy was certainly one of them, while that immature side of her couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed of the incredible power, and even more incredible display she put on as she so quickly destroyed what Avalanche failed to take down for SO long. In seconds. Literal seconds! One other easily noted thing about this girl was how ridiculously gorgeous she was, and Phoenix was a straight girl! It was hard not to see and equally impressive that one who looked so innocent and what most might think as cute, could be a one person army against all of ShinRa's habitants. A woman not of this world, but also not of Serenity, she could feel that difference in the woman's own aura as if her weapons of choice didn't already give that away.
And then, snapping her attention back to reality, was the sound of the womans sword stabbing into the ground next to her, enough to gain her attention rather quickly! "You...did you really just bring everyone in this building down? ...Something myself and Avalanche all failed to do for years...all in seconds? ..." She still couldn't believe it! "..Friend..." The flaming energy around her began to calm down, not completely gone, but far less intense. "..You aren't from this world either, huh? ...I'm Phoenix.."

"...I know I'm cute, but you're staring an awful lot." Kiana said, shooting the small-framed girl a playful wink. "Ah, I see... I must not bring to mind the image of some powerful warrior, huh?" And the next time Phoenix naturally blinked, the girl before her would be completely different, changing in an instant. Her eyes now pure, glowing blue, the pink in her hair replaced with red, and most strikingly, her outfit now matched more of an aesthetic of a knight in blazing armor. She wore a metaphorical coat of flame, as fire surrounded her quietly--but clearly ready to surge into a raging inferno at a moment's notice. Even her eyes changed--the softer, playful eyes were replaced by hard, stern eyes befitting a woman who had gone through countless trials to stand where she was today. Her pistol was gone, and the blade stabbed into the ground likewise changed, becoming much larger in size, more akin to a greatsword. "Is this more to your liking?" She asked, and even her voice was more serious, more stern. "They were terrorizing civilians. I stopped them." She said in a matter-of-fact tone. "Kiana Kaslana. This is the first time I've been on a planet in years. A planet with no Honkai... hopefully I don't change that." The Finality that was now forever part of her was the source of Honkai--if it began infecting this world, she would need to leave swiftly.
She turned, walking towards the edge of the building outside the president's office with her heels clicking on the marble floor beneath. She looked out across the city, the wind gently blowing in her face--and she took a deep breath, closing her eyes. "The air feels so nostalgic..." She said with an introspective tone. Her cape flowed out behind her, parts gently alighted with a radiating flame. "I wonder what Mei is doing right now. I wonder how long it'll take for them to realize I'm not on the moon anymore." She glanced up towards the sky, her mind drifting back to her friends, still on earth. Even further away, now...

"...W-What? I am not! " Her face and the guilt in her voice made it SO obvious, but it wasn't until she crossed her arms and quickly looked away that her face would match the color of her crimson red hair. After a moment, Phoenix finally returned her red-face back at the mysterious young woman, about to respond to what she had to say next. "...What..?! ....Okay..Now you are just showing off. " She couldn't sound anymore jealous! First Carmen, and now Kiana to take more of her coolness away! Phoenix was falling behind when it came to the cool fiery girls! "You have impressive abilities..uh, I mean...you look cool. Not that there was anything wrong with the other form....---Never mind! Anyway! " She was so bad with socializing, especially when it came to people way cooler then herself! "..This place is the root of all the troubles this world has, those that run it don't have any good intentions. We've been trying to stop them for years, but now they've began to pull even dirtier tricks by threatening the entire city, Avalanche returns. This is the group I've joined, and many of us off worlders stay with..to fight against the evil that seems to have spread through their world by way of that Tear, the very thing responsible for you being brought here, myself included. We could always use another ally.. "
"Um...so what do you mean, the first time you've been on a planet? Honkai? ...What are they? ......" Maybe it wasn't the best of times to ask questions, though her curiosity was quite strong right now. "You lived on the moon? ...How? "
