Earendil felt the beginnings of a headache coming on. She had asked the same question once before, when she had been younger, and Earendil wasn't sure if she no longer remembered that conversation, or if she was simply no longer satisfied with the answer.

Not to mention, if he explained that he couldn't offer them a home of their own, she could just point at Kelirahc and Leyenda and ask why they were married if they didn't have a real home of their own yet, either.

He looked to Lin, his eyes pleading silently for aid.

Earendil hugged Miyuki again, trying to make her feel better even though he didn't know what to say.

"Thank you," he murmured softly to Lin in High Elven, the one main language that Miyuki had yet to learn. He yawned. It was quite dark now, very late, and it had been a busy day. He was ready to sleep.

From the direction of Arwen and Roydon's fire, Celeb appeared, his hands full. "Hey," he called to Earendil and the others. "Mother brought your things. You might want them before you head off."

Earendil blinked. "Our things?"

"Bags, blankets," Celeb explained, holding their bags out to them. "She noticed you'd forgotten them. She didn't pack your things that were in your quarters, though, she didn't want to mess anything up. Just grabbed your bags and sleeping stuff."

"There you go, Miyuki," Earendil grinned at their daughter. "Looks like we are sleeping out here tonight after all. Do you need to get changed first?"

He would simply be taking off his shirt - the most he had taken off any night since that day Miyuki had burst in on him naked and uncovered.

Earendil looked around, then pointed at a wooden shelter that had been erected on the sand, just beyond the fires. "There, I think. Better take your mother with you, just in case."

He didn't want her to get lost in the crowd, after all.

Earendil grinned and watched as the two headed off. They would be back soon, he knew. He wasn't worried about them.

He knelt in the sand and rummaged through his bag, pulling out blankets and such for them to sleep. They were outside, in the midst of a large crowd: there was no reason they couldn't all share a blanket together.

Earendil grinned. "Welcome back!" he beamed. "Come on, I think mostly everyone is going to sleep already. Come here."

He held up the blanket and nodded for the girls to lie down.

Earendil chuckled and lay down next to Miyuki, spreading the blanket over all three of them. The tropical climate meant that night was warm, but a blanket would be necessary anyways - though one for the three of them would be fine.

"Comfortable?" he grinned, laying down and making himself comfortable.
