"Eh, who knows? It might be useful later." he turned and walked towards the symbol, holding his half-and-a-half sword in both hands, he aimed his shot at the side, hoping not do damage the arcane sign. "I'll try it out after this." Bellamin backed up, and charged, hoping to use all of his strength for his strike.

((if it's any use, dice for attack))

(Somehow I think a normal sword would break from hitting a stone alter...)

Upon Ronin's snide remark, a disembodied voice says "A restorative pool, actually." The comment doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere in particular, but it doesn't seem to be telepathic either. It's almost as if the sound came from simply the room.

If Bigfoot goes ahead with his plan to fill an empty flask with the water, the flask fills, but does not seem to deplete the water level of the pool at all. Bellamin, as Bigfoot pointed out, will likely want to reconsider attacking a stone altar with a metal sword.

Bellamin stopped midway. He had just heard some wise words in his head; Not his of course. "Eh, your right." He said outloud. Bellamin turned his head towards the pool. "A talking restorative pool?" He pondered for a moment before taking a handfull of water. "After this dungeon, we'd should come back later with a lot of waterskins and fill them up here. Could be some use." He raised his two hands up to his mouth to drink.

"Unfortunately my powers are no good outside of the pyramid. Nobody worships the old gods anymore. That's why the others have turned to evil: they are bitter, and impatient. Only through cruelty can they spread their influence beyond these walls. It is... Such a shame, really. It was never like this before."

(With the pool being a restorative pool, does that mean the water doubles as a healing potion?)

(This room has no doors other then the one we came in right?)

Finished with filling his flask Bigfoot tells his teammates, "We are talking to one of the old gods. Be careful what you say to him." Then asking the voice of the god Bigfoot says, "What is that you wish us to do?"

Bellamin nodded and bowed his head in respect. "We ask with all the respect and patience we can muster. For surely this has been so for many decades, we, out of respect, offer our help to you."

He fought back a smirk. Wonder where that came from.

"sorry about the remark.... what IS your name? i've always wanted to meet oone of the many old gods."

((Ummmm... GC? Just wondering what will happen later on, Gonzu seems to be out on hiatus.))
PostPosted: Thu Nov 29, 2007 9:10 pm

(Gonzu and Polkana are done with us, so it's just you three. And yes, the water functions like a healing potion.)

"It's been so long since I had a name, but I was once Athis, Keeper of the Stars. Please, heal yourselves with the energies of my pool, then I have two more thing to ask of you. The dark lord of this pyramid has transformed himself into a heinous lord of the undead. I believe you defeated one of his avatars already, but his true self lurks still further down. Please, slay him."

"As for my second request, I have two powerful tokens resting within my altar. One, representing the birth of the stars, will let you heal yourselves. The other, representing their deaths, will let you hurt your enemies. Take them, and don't let my name be forgotten. I will open my altar for you."

With that, the altar's top slides back, revealing two tokens with stylized stars on them. One star's edges are rounded, and the token is of ivory. The other star's edges are jagged, and the token is of obsidion. One birth, the other dead.

Token stats, subject to approval:
Both 3 equip.

Life token:
Spend 2 MP to heal yourself by 8 life.

Death token:
Spend 2 MP to deal 12 damage to one enemy.

Bellamin peered down at the two tokens. "Thank you, Athis, Keeper of the Stars. Your name shall burn within my heart and soul from this moment on. I shall take your task and exorcise the dark lord."

Bellamin looked at the others. "You both can have a token, my energy is best conserved to summoning up that cursedly cowardly will'o'wisp of mine. Do you acccept are charge?"

((I thought it would be cool if each of us do our own vow... sweatdrop I'm just cheesy like that.))

((And those tokens will be pretty useful for you two because tokens don't seem to count as an action, or spell, and they use Mp. Something you have excess ammounts.))

((And also. Does this mean twin blast, and spell-block are up for grabs if they quit?))

"i'll gladly aquire the death token Athis. i am honored to take these tasks you have set for us." Ronin told him as he bowed and stepped into the waters of healing.

(I like your characters vow, I would try to make one but I'm too brain dead right now, sorry.)

Returning his now full flask to his backpack, Bigfoot walks over to the Athis's altar. "As I take some heavy damages on the front-lines, I will take the token of life." Bigfoot says, taking the token of life and buckling it onto his belt. "Thank you for sharing your great power with us mortals."

Then realizing that his arm was still bleeding from the battle with the vampire, Bigfoot steps into the healing pool. Once healed by the magic of the pool, Bigfoot asks Athis "Where can we find this dark lord you wish us to defeat? This hallway is a dead end..."
