Shinzu entered slightly ahead of Masaraku, a sour look on his face, he wasn't remotely happy about losing. As soon as this was over he intended to return to his training, unless of course he worked some training in on this. Since he wasn't hungry Shinzu only asked for a pair of chop sticks, as well as a couple of bowls and plates. Using on of the chop sticks, Shinzu set about trying to balance the menu atop it. 17 + 3 = 20 vs 13 Pass
As he waited for Masaraku to order Shinzu continued to work on his balancing skills. "Don't eat too much ok? I'm only a Genin too haha." Shinzu said, giving her a momentary glance and grin. During that slight loss of focus however, his finger twitched lightly. Luckily Shinzu refocused his attention in time to catch it, and keep it from falling. 12 + 3 = 15 vs 13 Pass

Shinzu is still bitter over how slow he had moved during his fight with Massaraku, and is determined to work on his motor skills as she eats.

Masaraku smiled at Shinzu and said, "You should get something too, I went through all this effort to trick you into going on a date with me, the least you could do is eat with me. Besides, you don't expect me to order for myself do you?" She reached over and put her hand on Shinzu's thigh. "Besides, if I were using a normal sword I'm sure you would have me pinned down on the ground in two seconds." She giggled at the thought of Shinzu pinning her on the ground and blushed slightly.

The Menu fell silently onto the the table and Shinzu froze as Masaraku said it was all a ruse to him to go on a date with her. Her idea of a ruse was challenge him to a fight and then wound him three times with that sharkskin sword of hers. "Hmm, perhaps next time I'll have a giant sword of my own..." He said in a rather mute tone of voice. He's always thought about getting a Kubikiri Houcho from the blacksmith, and a pair of the Aian Nakkuru. Those cost money and besides he already carried around a Katana, several kunai and shuriken, a Fuma Shuriken, and a butterfly dagger. He made a mental note to decrease his combat load at some point. For the time being however he called the cook over and ordered two things of the salty ramen, which had been his favorite since his first visit here with Andou-Sensei two years before. 9 + 3 = 12 vs 13 Fail

Masaraku moved her hand further up Shinzu's thigh and said, "Maybe you could let me see how big your sword is then." She ordered a double order of Salt Broth ramen and some gyoza. She began to stroke Shinzu's thigh and added, "Anything else you want to show me some time?" She picked up her chopsticks and began to play with them a bit.

Shinzu had tried to ignore Masaraku's hand, and had even begun to start his dex training again, but as her hand moved up... It was just a tad too freaky for Shinzu, and he literaly jumped up off his stool, though oddly enough he was able to keep the chopsticks he had perfectly balanced. "You're starting to freak me out a little..." He said. Oh sure Masaraku wasn;t bad looking, and was a helluva fighter, so he'd more then happily go out with her. Of course, if she was serious about all this, he wished she had just openly said something, before wounding him, and then... this... God life had gotten so confusing lately. 12 + 3 = 15 vs 13 Pass

Masaraku clenched her fist and snapped her chopsticks in two. "Get your a** ... back in that seat ... before I tear it off ... and feed it to my sword." She turned to look at him with a twitching eye and a fake smile. "Pleeasssse." The last word sounded akin to a creeky door opening. Her charms had temporarily worn thin in a lapse of anger.

Shinzu silently got into his seat he knew how bad Masaraku's anger could get, and he still wasn't healed since thier last fight. It was during her brief peroid of anger that Shinzu realised the reason for his loss. If Masaraku hadn't been a part of the Hoshigaki clan, they would've stood on more equal footing. From there Shinzu's experience would've carried the battle, but she was a part of the Hoashigaki Clan. Shinzu knew of only one way to counteract that, he had to train. He made a silent vow then, whilst the chopsticks feel from his hand, hard work, would beat talent. 6 + 3 = 9 vs 13 Fail

Of course he'd thought about it before, Shinzu thought as he attempted to rebalance the chopsticks. Right now though none of that really mattered to him, he didn't really even have any time to do such things anyway. He trained as hard and long as he could everyday to get stronger, and his social life took a hit because of it. So for now he remained silent, simply wishing the subject and this 'date' would pass by quickly. 6 + 3 = 9 vs 13 Fail

Shinzu didn't look at Masaraku, instead focusing on his attempt to balance chopsticks. She had to grow tough? She had trouble letting her guard down? Shinzu's father had died trying to defend his mother, and being the proper shinobi child, he had to act like he accepted it. Even as his Father's former teamates handed him what was left of his bloody, he was expected not to try, not to show too much emotion. Oh sure Masaraku had grown up in the hardcore lifestyle of a Hoshigaki, where such things came naturally. At least she gained something from it, what'd Shinzu gain? His body wasn't naturally strong due to DNA, nor did he get get a weapon in a coming of age ceremony. No, he got a bloody headband, a constant reminder of the ultimate cost. "I've got to go..." Shinzu said, as he stood up and left some money on the counter. Quietly and quickly Shinzu left the Ramen stall, he was having a much more difficult time opening to anyone. He wasn't rejecting her, no, he just knew something bad could happen, and what the results could be. Meanwhile sitting right next to his menu, was the chopsticks, perfectly balanced one ato the other. 13 + 3 = 16 vs 13 Pass

"Welcome! Ah, it's you two!" Shippo yelled as Andou and Shizoni entered the shop. "So what'll it be?" He pulled up his sleeves, turned to admonish one of his apprentices for some mistake or another and turned back to the two men with an expectant look on his face.
Andou took a seat at the counter directly in front of Shippo. Ah, so he was the same as ever. Old age wouldn't get him down and he was pretending to know all the shinobi of Kirigakure as always. He had to be pretending after all, because who could remember all the shinobi of Kiri?
"I'll have the spicy ramen please," he said dispassionately but his heart actually thumping. He hadn't felt the burn in a while and it would be good to excite his taste buds again. One couldn't let them grow lazy after all.

"The same, three bowls!" Shizoni knew he could easily handle the spice of this ramen, he has had fire almost literally breathed down his throat already, so this was no different. Now he wondered if he could eat fire, which made him realise he must be very hungry if he is thinking of eating pure burning heat.

She kissed her fingers and pressed them against his cheek. She took her hand back and pulled down her skirt a bit to be at least a bit modest. Besides, if this didn't work, she could scare the other guy into doing it, he seemed to be mister moneybags anyways, white hair just didn't do it for her.
