As he worked, the piles steadily grew larger. As the piles steadily grew larger, Inori stopped to rub his temples for a long moment, feeling a headache coming. Use this as an opportunity to find the books you need. He thought consolingly, to himself. But he would only get a fair idea of what to look for once he finds out where did his Academy curriculum scroll roll to in this isle. Green eyes bore steadily on the many more scrolls to be sorted through, thinking hard in trying to recall exact what binding the Academy curriculum scroll had. If there was one good thing, shinobi seems to follow the civilian way in making more important volumes more impressive looking by fashioning them fancier bindings.

The Academy scroll... The wood was lacquered black, a rather weighty scroll. Inori knew it was heavy since he first laid eyes on it, despite its deceptively small frame. No, that was not quite right. The Curriculum scroll was certainly not small by any accounts, it was probably closer leaning towards mid-sized. His father used to have the servants arrange the library books by, what was it for scrolls, thickness? On the shelves, come to think of it, they were stored exactly like that. Ah, he was wasting time. Besides, sooner or later he and Nero would be done cleaning, and they would find it.

That is unless Nero thinks that scrolls belongs to the library, to which Inori dreadfully hopes to not happen. They were in the reference section after all, and goodness knows there were sure to be older "public property" from prior years.

Reassorting Books!
It's quite a mess that Inori made. Books and scrolls about shinobi Fundamentals, books defining shinobi terms, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and more scrolls are all mixed together. Sort them out again to their proper places.

He was making progress. Painfully, painstakingly, but he was making progress at least sorting these books. Occasionally, a grudging look was casted at Andou. Now that Inori thought about it, it was quite all the stupid principal's fault in the first place. If the principal hadn't followed him around and made him mad, therefore making him lose concentration, he wouldn't even be in this mess. He could almost feel sorry for Nero (almost, only because he was feeling more sorry at the present moment for himself) whom were doubly victimized because Andou happened to discover yet another one skipping class.

Smug jackass. Thought Inori fiercely, shoving the book with more force into the shelf as he should have. His mother wouldn't approve of such language, but she doesn't know or have to know what he thinks in the premises of his head. He only wasn't working as fast as he probably should because he didn't want to get a papercut which would just add unnecessary pain to this whole procedure too. That made arranging the scrolls seem almost tame, at least ricepaper couldn't work like a petty knife. With a huff, he condensed two of his smaller piles together, realizing that in the trail of thoughts he must've neglected to notice that he accidentally made two of the same piles talking about Chakra Control.

Not that he it was his fault, with the ridiculous variety of these titles, there were quite a lot. As he pushed the two piles aside into one, his souring mood instantly halted in its tracks - and perhaps even elevated a little - discovering that at the bottom of the very pile... Could it be? Ignoring the Chakra Control volumes for now, Inori picked up the heavy not-small scroll and dusting it lightly with one hand, with his other he rolled it out a bit. A relieved almost-sigh left his lips, and he placed the scroll aside on one of the lower shelves that wasn't affected at all by this ordeal to take up later, as the floor was presently still quite cluttered.

"I guess I just sorta supposed everybody's family were shinobi of some sort. But seeing as your family isn't...it probably means there are other non-shinobi families...so I guess I am sort of lucky." Nero said, rather insensitively.

Following Inori's advice on how to reassort the clutter, it was moving a bit more quickly, but still taking quite a long time. He predicted it would be a good hour or so before they finally finished, and Nero knew that no level of shinobi experience would help to clean up faster, so they were completely out of luck. He hated not being able to find an easy way out of things, so the realization they would be sitting here, kneeling over, picking up books for an hour, was almost nightmarish.

Given, Nero made the unconscious, yet personal choice to be lazy. He didn't have a lot of friends, not because he wasn't likable, but because he didn't really do much. He just sat home, or walked around. He never participated in any of the childish activities the other kids participated in, so he was beginning to see his involuntary forced involvement by Inori, as almost a friendly gesture. It wasn't completely friendly, but only because they were picking up books.

Gennosuke looked at the book for a third time and cringed. It seemed as if he would never understand the stuff on the pages. He tried looking closer at the text and little arrows pointing here and there but he couldn't figure out anything. He began to feel as if he was wasting his time on this. He wished Mokujin was here so he could get a couple pointers. He was sure that he had read the book at one point and time before he had his species reassignment surgery. Gennosuke's face went sour at the thought of being turned into a puppet.

Once Gennosuke recovered from his horrible thought he flipped back a page or two and noticed some of the same symbols. "Thats it I can go back and see if I can find similar ones," he blurted out happily. He looked over the past few pages and then went back to the page he was having trouble with, it worked. "The legs of the puppet help it to maintain balance and appear more human like in composition. Some puppets hop around and some walk and run as if human. The legs rarely have but a few weapons in them, mainly knives, and thus they are only useful in few situations," said Gennosuke skimming the page. He was happy to have got it down.

"Am I?" Questioned Inori, no longer really caring that Andou was there. He stopped his task and turned, surveying Nero for a long moment. "I don't know about being fortunate. But I do know that shinobi clans are shinobi first before anything." He turned back to his handiwork, assorting the piles neatly, separating them by the subject on the ground. One volume in particular, seeming to catch his eye, he picked up. He flipped it open a few pages, and as his eyes quickly browsed through the information, almost slowly wondered aloud. Though his gaze was upon the text, however, his words were still directed to the young Fubuki.

"Don't you wonder sometimes? If this is the right path you truly want, or something decided for you." With such words, the spine of the book shut with a soft 'thu-mp' as pointedly almost, Inori met the other's stormy gaze. "But I suppose everyone have their difficulties." He held up the volume a bit, just so that in the angle of light Nero could very easily read "Fundamentals on Bloodlimits".

"Rather spineless, though." He commented aloud after a long moment, before replacing the book on the shelf. His tacit criticism of the village was left open-ended. If this was the shinobi world, from these little tidbits he is touching upon, it feels quite disappointing. To even feel the need to write something on another group of people simply since they were different... Weren't shinobi then simply a system set to create wars with one another if even in the course of their dealings with those "different" feel urged to take careful notations? But he supposed the proverbial phrase did go a good job did not have to be in any way likeable.

Nero shrugged. "I guess I'd rather be a shinobi than some of the other things in life. Being a shinobi seems interesting enough, and I've found some pleasure in watching the ninjutsu of the clan mates. The only real problem is that I'd have to put work into being a shinobi...I guess it'd be worth it....but putting work into stuff sucks." He said, admittedly.

"Besides....nothing is decided for me. You always make the ultimate decision. It was decided I was going to go to the academy today, and look at me now....I'm in a library, picking up books from some shelf you knocked onto some guy." He added, showing a slight grin.

Nero thought about how scrolls didn't have spines like books did, and made a slight pun out of Inori's comment about the books being spineless. He laughed a bit to himself, quietly, before continuing to pick up the books.

He knew Inori was saying something to him, but he didn't truly catch the serious portion of what he was saying, as his sense of urgency and seriousness was slightly lacking.

That book wasn't marked "NIN", however, so Inori assumed Kekkai Genkais made their own category. Very well enough, he found a few books in the lower shelves that made up a cluster of such topics, and he slipped in the volume after quickly making an alphabetic order of the author's last name in his mind.

"I suppose you would." Came the drifting admission from the golden-haired boy as he stood on tip-toes to slide in another scroll on the shelf. There was the soft scraping sound of polished wood against wood. He wonders if Nero realized it yet, where the etchings on the scrolls were. At the end of the wooden bindings, if one would shift a scroll so that they were looking from the side end, a circle of etching in the wood made up the seal. At first it might not seem very practical, but if one would think about how scrolls were shelved as opposed to books, it actually made a lot of sense. In a way, it was more convenient too, if only the scrolls weren't on the top shelves, thus making it difficult to reach.

"Is it really that wonderful to watch?" Questioned Inori, slowing his work almost to a steady stop as he wondered aloud. That was of course to Nero's claim that it was a wonderful thing to watch his clan mates practice Ninjutsu. Naturally, Inori knew nothing more about Hyouton Creation anymore than that singular sentence he browsed through in that book he already replaced on the shelf. But then again, many things in life cannot be truly appreciated without seeing. This would be one of them, witnessing the deadly elegance, even beauty, of blood inheritances.

"If you are sure then..." Pointed out Inori, as he crouched again to push more books into piles by genre. "It shouldn't be so much a problem." He paused a little in his words, before finding the better explanation. "You would find the hard work being the very proof of how far you gone. That's why civilians don't find their lives boring, no matter what shinobi think."

Oh, why does he even bother? It was as if this younger child would understand. Yet still, he allowed the serenity of the moment to settle, oddly enough he was beginning to feel even almost glad for the Fubuki's company. It wasn't quite a start of a friendship, but what complaints could be made of a start at least? A faint smile curved his lips, the only answer to Nero's retort that if he had followed the wishes of his clan, the other would be in class right now and studying hard. Rather rebellious, isn't Nero? But if Nero had went to class today, then Inori supposed he may not have ever met the other.

Nero smiled and began following Inori's pattern of putting the scrolls away, and realized the signs for himself. It was easier than before, and it was going more quickly, however, he had seriously underestimated the amount of scrolls there were. As they would put away scrolls, it would reveal layers and layers of mess underneath the top layer. There was a lot of work to be done.

"Yea, it's great, because the Fubuki clan jutsu's are so elegant. Especially the Eternal Snowfield Jutsu. It's like a jutsu to temporarily change the season. It just seems so interesting, from a tactical point of a view, there's almost no better strategic move than to take the opponent out of his or her comfort zone, and force them into yours." Nero said, stopping as he figured he was beginning to ramble.

Nero was almost having a decent time at this point. Just an hour or two longer until they were done, then he figured he could do something interesting or fun. He didn't know what, but it would probably involve food, because Nero wanted ramen...badly.

Nero made a blank face, slightly irritated. Despite Inori's advice, Nero was still having little luck cleaning up. He was bored, and hungry, and his boredom made him think of food, which just made him more hungry. He yawned and put his hand on his stomach, feeling it rumble.

Putting his hunger aside, Nero continued to sort the books, hoping to make a bit more progress in the same amount of time as he had been taking previously. He started to want to get this done a bit more, as he realized he couldn't put off his hunger forever. He yawned, he was tired, it had been a long day, with a lot of walking to get over here, just to find a mess at the end of the tunnel.

He was trying not to be put off by the fact that they had hardly even put a dent in the mess at hand, but he wasn't doing very well.

Nero continued to clean up the books, saying little. They cleaned up almost in silence for a few minutes before Nero decided to break the silence by asking a simple question. "How old are you?" He asked, hoping Inori would be close to his own age, but after all, he was pretty young, so he wouldn't be surprised should Inori be a good deal older than him.

Nero wasn't at all happy with the progress he was making cleaning up. He was getting extremely hungry, he would have to finish soon, as his hunger was getting in the way. He had woken up late, and didn't eat breakfast, in addition to not eating dinner the previous night, so he had skipped 3 meals, it was like not eating for a whole day, since he hadn't eaten lunch yet either, and academy was almost over, so that meant it was close to dinner time.
