"Hmm, no? Not to your liking, little one?" Alex smiled at the Gwee, eating the rest of the snack before glancing back to the bar. It had certainly gotten crowded! We`rika was running around like a man on a mission; she could spot the gentleman who was speaking with Revanica, although the woman herself was no where to be seen, she thought she saw Natsuki going by and Aphismet had returned. There was also some man with--
Alex swallowed the rest of her food a little hard. A tail. A forked tail. Could that be...? She could see him in her mind, yelling at his table, but the chef's hat was blocking any defining features. If it was the Doctor, she wanted to greet him herself. Sliding through the gathered like smoke, she deftly picked her card off of the gift cable and made her way to the bar, relieved there was a seat next to him. Taking a seat gently - and mindful of the Gwee that was still curled against her collar bone - she glanced at him, hoping she wasn't mistaken.
Thankfully, she wasn't. She'd recognize his handsome (if not devilish) features anywhere. Apparently he was uncertain of what to try as a drink. "Try a Texas Tea," she offered, smiling at the unhappy man. "Barely taste the alcohol and they'll do the deed fast enough."

Amaris quickly found herself alone again. That was confusing. How did Gage manage to sneak away from her? Was he some sort of ninja, too? Oh well, she'd find him again later - for now, she wanted to talk more with this Natsuki girl. She seemed nice.
Head buzzing happily from the music, she wandered over to where she was -
- DISASTER DISASTER FLEE THE SCENE. FLEE THE SCENE. Was that Gage's caretaker? FLEE FLEE FLEE
And so she ended up huddled behind the bar, underneath the wooden counter, drink clutched in her hand. She looked sheepishly up at We`rika and slowly raised a finger to her mouth.
Oh man. Oh man. She did not want to be near any of that. Bottoms up, she thought grimly as she took a gulp of her drink. Hopefully it wasn't alcoholic.

Aphismet blinked in confusion at the bartender's barely concealed anger. Maybe Werika wasn't having a very good night? He did seem very busy... Acting sheepish, Aph waved his hands, oblivious to the very thin razor's edge he was currently walking.
"Oh! Oh, nonono... One's for me, and one's for Chloe. I-I don't normally drink that much." He chuckled. "You're very busy... I think the night is a great success! You are one of the organizers, right? Thank you! It's good of you to do this for Chloe and the Doct-" Ah! Aphismet spotted Dr Kyou sitting right there!
Aph blinked. He'd never really spoken to the doctor personally... it was kind of like trying to talk to a superstar. Shyly, while he waited for his Ceasars, Aph smiled at the doctor and said "H-Happy Birthday Sir..." And then turned away. Dr Kyou probably had lots of people to talk to. At least Aphi had given him good wishes for the day.
He turned his eyes back to Werika and smiled encouragingly while the other man went around making a ton of drinks for everyone.

Kyou jerked uncontrollably when someone spoke near to him. He turned his head to see a more normal looking girl for once in this town, despite the little dragon on her collar bone. But to tell the truth, Kyou didn't hear her sitting down, maybe he was too oblivious and a little out of it tonight.
"T... Texas tea?" he asked curiously, "I never heard of that one before... sounds interesting though." but still, out of respect for the bartender, he decided to wait for his recommendations too before he made his decision on what to drink.

We`rika had been waiting for someone to say that all night! He slid right back over to Zeph and grinned like a serial rapist. "Well if ya gimme th'time an' place... I'm sure we can work i' ou'... Bu' until then lemme ge' ya a drink..." He grabbed another tall glass, filled with with peach schnapps, vodka and fruit juice. Placing it upon a napkin, he slid it over to We`rika. "There ya go...!"
"Oh..." One of was for Chloe? ...... So If he beat Aphismet up now... Chloe would kinda put two and two together. And then she'd be devastated!! He couldn't have that! Oh the conflicts that life brings! "Jes a secon'..." He grabbed two new glasses, rimmed them with salt, fileld it with ice, tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire and Tabasco sauce and gave him two napkins. "Alrigh... Here ya go. Give Chloe my regards..." He ended their contact with as nice of a smile as he could muster for the leecher! LEECHER!
He moved back to the doctor. "Yeah.. thas a nice one... or a Long Island Tea... Though... Long Island... Well.. I think ya'd like the Texas Tea more... is sweeter. I' takes a few minu's ta make, bu' I'll star' ya off with sumin' ligh' ta ge' ya goin' while ya wai' on me..." He grabbed a regular glass, filled with coke and little coconut rum. Sweet, easy, pretty light as he went easy on the alcohol. "Here try thi'..." Sliding the glass over to him, he rested his chin on the counter watching him and his long ears and tail. "I hadn' time ta tell ya Happy Birthday..." He seemed... unhappy, but it wasn't his business and he wasn't the type to listen to people b***h and moan. He spared them both.

Aphismet smiled at the Huichol. All hints of the previous anger was gone from the bartender... that was a good sign! "I hope things wind down for you a bit, and thanks for the drinks!" he said, as he walked back to Chloe on the dancefloor. He offered her one of the glasses as he took a sip from his own, wincing again at how strong it was. Did Aph just make his own very weak, or was this Werika guy spiking them too much?
...Aph was almost sure it was the first of the two options.
"It's a Bloody Ceasar," he explained. "I hope you like it; it's not a sweet drink, it's more spicy. If you want something else I'll go get it! Just be careful; it's kinda strong." His voice was sure and normal, now... Just that one gulp on the way here had hit him nicely, enough to remove most of his awkwardness. Who knew? Alcohol was the cure for social ineptitude!
"Oh, Werika gives his regards," he added, remembering the bartender's request.

"It's light, and goes down easy, but has three hard liquors in it." She felt bad for making him jump, but if Aphismet was any indication, she was quite good at doing that to men. Alex started to mention that she'd been at the Lab a few times and knew Chloe, but decided that'd be just a bit too much of a sore spot. She settled for a kind smile instead. "Tanti auguri a te," she said in a quietly sing-song voice, before repeating in English, "It means Happy Birthday in Italian, but aptly translates into 'many wishes for you.' You deserve as much."
She gave the man a gentle touch on his shoulder, her smile intact. "What can a gal do to make you smile, Doctor?"

Zeph blushed and grinned, he couldn't contain it this time- he felt too sluggish to do anything about it. "Sankyuu..." he grinned at the bartender and as a tip, slid a 10 dollar bill to him. 1, 1 with a 0... was there a difference?
He took the drink and stood, then walked rather straightly over to the man with the big afro, who looked like the doctor except... with a big afro. "Hey-lo doctor!" Zephrnyx exclaimed, not keeping the usual calm formalness that he usually kept when meeting people for the first time. "A Happy Birthday to you, with many more" He motioned a slight bow, by circling his hand twice in the air beside his head and smiled "Nice hair, by the way," he mentioned, not realizing that the hair was actually a very bad accident.

Jae Eun felt a little awkward, talking to Ravi on the dance floor. But any conversation they could've had that moment was interrupted by the new 80's beat that filled the air.
"Hold that thought for JUST a moment!" she grinned.
Stepping back, she broke out into her best Robot. Actually, her brother had come up with it, but they were twins, close enough. She started with the standard robot moves, but then added some steps and popping. Then she added the gliding. Soon, it looked like she was gliding around on the dance floor just like a robot would! All the while, she made sure not to bump into the other people on the dance floor.
Well, if Ravi didn't feel like talking, he was hopefully enjoying the show amongst the other people here!

Chloe smiled as she took the drink from Aphismet, taking a small sip. She gave a small cough, surprised at the strength and spice of it. "O-Oh my..." She took another careful sip, able to appreciate We`rika's ability to mix a drink this time around. "I-It's still g-good."
Chloe fanned herself lightly with her hand, closing her eyes a moment. "O-Oh.. I'm s-s-sorry... Aphismet, I th-think I need to get some air." She gave him a small smile, tilting her head toward the door that would lead outside of the crowded, stuffy ballroom. "I-If... you'd like to come.." She flushed darkly, looking down at the floor and letting her hair cover her face. "I'd like it."
She couldn't force him, however. She reached out to give his arm a soft squeeze as she walked past him, still holding her drink, and headed to the cooler outside.
Roux shook his head. He decided he was finished with this whole thing. He'd come, he'd let Chloe alone so she could have her fun, and he'd even discovered dancing. Gage had spoiled it.. as well as this new music. It was time to retreat to a far corner and do some more sulking. Really, he liked Natsuki most out of all humans but she wasn't perfect.
Like him.
And Parfait? She chirruped sleepily, realizing all of a sudden that her Chloe wasn't around. There was a few commical moments while she was torn between staying with Alex and going to find her Chloe, physically leaning back and forth as the small creature made her choice.
With a little butt of her head to Alex's chin as farewell, Parfait leapt down to the ground and walked along the edge of the room toward the door she'd seen the pink haired receptionist disappere through.

Revanica moved aside to let Chloe out and she waved a bit cheekily towards her.
"Niiight, birthday girl!" Obviously Chloe needed air, and it was wonderful to get some out here. Revanica smoothed her little black dress back down. Yes, she had changed her short skirt and blouse for an even shorter dress, made of scanty near see-through sparkley material. A Piece of a** ran through her viens along with the concotion of a Scorpion.
Zeph was still there waiting at the bar. She was happy, there were a few people there too. She threw her arms about the afro'd man and Zeph.
"Hello, I'm back," She said with allure. Albeit also with a hint of drunken slur, and yet she added, "Oh and I'd like another of your fine assed drinks!"
Having said that she plunked back down between the two each giving them a wink and grin. She looked to the side momentarily at the beautifully sculpted hair framing the man's head like a mushroom cloud of a neuclear explosion. She could smell the residule power that must have been used to create the gravity defying hairdo. Following that line of track she giggled and whipped out her checkbook and pen.
"Oh you know Zephie," she started in a low conspiratorial sounding voice, "We sould think of how much money to give to Chloe and the good doc. I can certainly give him a few mil for an ultimate birthday bash. Won't depleate my horde at all..." She explained expansively, as this was seemingly the most natural thing in the world. Indeed, only dragons would boast of their hoard. Hers was well over in the trillions, but yet she loved to live meagerly and work at the bookstore down the block.
(( D'oh I'm leaving. Night. I hope to continue. I will reply in the morning as earliest as possible. See you. If you want you can npc me a little bit. But remember I'm Drunk and a succubus. Don't take advantage of a poor little girl such as I!! blaugh razz Niiiight! ))

Hearing Chloe's cough at the drink, Aphi laughed and nodded. "He does make them kinda spicy. I like drinks that aren't sweet..." He kept chuckling as she fanned herself, thinking that it was the drink getting to her. He was about to note how she should go stand nearer Roux, as a joke, when she offered a walk outside to cool off.
J-just the two of them? To-... together?
Blushing madly as she walked by and squeezed his arm, Aph cast a quick look around to room, as though he'd done something wrong and was checking whether he'd been caught. No, no one was running to him yelling that he had no right to accept... Could it really be okay?
Turning a shy smile to Chloe, Aph simply nodded and walked out with her, taking another deep gulp of his Ceasar; he'd need it.
Rivener watched Roux float over to the corner to sulk. Sigh. That's no fun. Ah well, Riv floated along, and decided he'd simply stand by and let the other sulk. All he could offer was his presence, now. At least being in a corner with Roux was better than floating around alone.
Pouting slightly at having nothing to do, Riv crossed his arms and stood near the other, looking out over the crowd.

Shuura rolled 1 100-sided dice:
60
Total: 60 (1-100)

Shuura swirled and sipped the drink appreciatively before eyeing the silver-haired boy that had greeted her. Noting the boy's curious glance at Vyn, "You can go talk to her, y'know," she informed him casually. "No promises that she'll respond to you, though." A wry smirk spread itself across her face at that.
Catching the newest bustle of activity on the dance floor, she trailed her eyes over to the dancers and had to resist the urge to choke on the beverage she had just swallowed. I suppose this proves it IS a party hosted by Jules, she thought sardonically. Figures. Lab. Owners. Weird floating things. Science. Experiments. Nerds. Techno music. The robot. It all went together, really, she was the only one who didn't quite fit in with the rest. Honestly, doing the robot? Not even if she was drunk off her a** and someone paid her 10,000 gold to do it. She had a reputation to maintain afterall.
She downed the rest of the Mai Tai. In fact, Shuura mused, thinking back on the entire situation, she wasn't entirely sure how she ended up with Vyn in the first place. Uninterested in either scientific or the inherent "magical" elements of her charge, preferring to act independently 99% of the time and having no desire whatsoever to raise a sibling, science project or hells forbid, a KID, it was a mystery to herself even why she had allowed Vyn to stick around for so long.
Freak accident, I suppose. She recalled vaguely a run-in with a madman, losing her perfume bottle, and later finding some random glowing object in a graveyard. She really should stop picking up randomly glowing objects. Instead of fetching a high price on the black market as she originally anticipated, they only ended up adding unecessary complications to her life.
------
The said "uncessary complication" was currently contemplating this strange figure before her. Tattered black spirals dragging gently on the floor, the salient features of the Shadow Raevan softened just a smidgen. Normally Vyn didn't bother herself with these unwinged walking beings, whom she innately sensed were fundamentally different from herself and others such as Rivener, but this one was topped with a familiar color. "Green," Vyn observed thoughtfully, referring to the leaf-colored mop of hair residing on the figure's head.
It was a good color, although the Rosy Frei frowned slightly at the sight of the odd person picking at their food. "It is fine, no," Vyn responded at length. Although her pronounciation still halting and her delivery, hesitant, the reticent Shadow Raevan was finally starting to get a hang of this noise-production thing. And despite the lulls in her words, her voice, rather deep for a female, was still nonetheless enchanting in an mysteriously alluring and earthy way.
------
Meanwhile, deciding that she didn't really care for the dance scene right now, Shuura removed herself from the bar and ventured off like she owned the place, only to discover in a remote corner a Julian in what looked like a feeble attempt to get himeself intoxicated. Raising an eyebrow at him, or more speficially, at the expensive-looking glass goblet held in his hands (which was causing her fingers to twitch delicately), she offered him a brief greeting. "Well now, if it isn't Jules...Mr. Social Butterfly Extraordinaire," she drawled, the sarcasm evident in her voice. Despite fully realizing she treaded on dangerous ground everytime she did this, for some reason the brash teen could just never resist an opportunity to tease her stuffy landlord. "Enjoying yourself, host?"
Now, why was it that his drink looked so much nicer??

Julian had always found the term "a glutton for punishment" somewhat amusing. The mixture of two supposed sins in a single cliché statement made it a good line, if an often humorous one. His only problem with the saying appeared in the form of Ms. Natsuki, whom had to be masochistic on some level if she purposefully chose to kept conversing with a man such as himself. All the same, he attempted not to say as such even if his body language and expression said it quite clearly.
"I'm afraid I don't dance-" he began, but was cut off quite abruptly as the woman he was speaking to managed to pour the entire contents of his goblet and her own cup all over the two of them. For a very long time, or perhaps a mere instant of remarkable disapproval, Julian stared downwards at his very damp shirt. Finally, he moved, prodding his sweater with an index finger as though to test something he already knew to be true.
At about that time, Shuura decided to show up. Assuming her comment was meant to be purely and wholly sarcastic, Julian ignored it in favor of removing his sweater. Under normal circumstances, the young man would have been far too intelligent to think of stripping off any clothing in public view, but between the very irritating music and sticky feeling of various alcoholic beverages all over him, desperate measures were taken. Under the sweater, which he unceremoniously let drop unto the floor, was an equally wet black dress shirt which he unbuttoned with meticulous precision. His gaze lingered on his own fingers if only so he did not give into the urge to say something very nasty to his accidental assailant.
On the other side of the ballroom, Gage was trying to hold in a somewhat violent reaction as well. As soon as the other Raevan began to speak while keeping an insanely dangerous hold on the radioactive Frei, the latter jerked out of the field of contact in one swift movement and propelled himself furiously backwards, nearly hitting at least four people in the process. He raised both hands, palms towards the other green- albeit much more normal- entity in a clear sign that Eirdirsceol should stay back.
"I... I am happy to see you," Gage conceded, if only because it might keep the other at bay and the words were vaguely true. "Do not touch me. It will hurt you."
To be more precise, it had hurt him, but Gage was trying to preemptively contain any further damage.
