He turned around when he heard Kaleb squeak. "Should'ave asked for help." he scrunched his nose and after setting the hairdryer down walked over to help Kaleb up.

Kaleb blushed brightly, really glad he had wrapped the towel around him before trying to stand up rather than leaving it until later. "I-I wanted to try on my own," he said as he accepted the help, but only enough to get to a seated position. It would be too tiring to try standing up before his wings were dried off.

"Those things'er as big as you are. Kinda silly to try when that's gonna happen." He snickered slightly as he poked Kaleb to turn around. "I'm gonna get another towel and see how much water we can get off'em that way first."

"I-I didn't know for sure that's what was going to happen," the mage replied, wrapping his arms protectively around his chest and scooting around so Riley could get at his wings. Up until that point he had used a damp cloth to clean off his wings, since he knew the weight of waterlogged feathers would have hurt them while he was recovering.

"Well i mean they're feathers. Unless birds have that waterproofing stuff don't they usually get waterlogged? I thought that was what happened." He grabbed a towel and used it to try to get as much of the water off Kaleb's wings as he could.

Kaleb huffed, but only mildly. The pleasant feeling of having his wings rubbed dry dulled his irritation. "I knew they would get wet, I didn't think I would fall over," he muttered, wrapping his tail around him for extra cover.

Kaleb let that comment slide, and opted to just enjoy the towel rubbing rather than respond. It was almost nice enough for him to forget that he was wearing nothing but a towel around his waist now that he had gotten over his initial embarrassment.

He snickered to himself as he dried Kaleb's wings. Once he had him mostly dry he picked up the hair dryer and with it set on low went about trying to get them the rest of the way dry.
"Gotta figure out how yer gonna take showers without getting all wet like this"

Kaleb slumped forward a little and let his eyes close. "I-it's not the water, I'm just too weak to hold them up," he said mildly. The warmth and systematic ruffling of his feathers was really pleasant, and after a bit he was able to pick his wings off the floor and happily fluff out the feathers a bit so they would dry faster.

"It's probably cause they're wet. They have to at least double in weight when wet so i mean even being stronger ya'd probably not be able to hold'em up."

"Maybe I was just being overly optimistic..." Kaleb muttered, yawning and letting his head drop. He fluffed his wings a bit more as they dried off and his tails wagged slightly, if he had been lying down instead of sitting up he would have drifted right off to sleep.

"Yer generally like that." He turned off the hair dryer and ran his hand over the feathers. "I think yer as dry as yer gonna get fer now."

Kaleb sighed pleasantly at the touch, even though he was kind of disappointed that the drying was over. His hair could have used some toweling off, so he reached for the towel Riley had used on his wings and pulled it over his head.

"How about ya scoot so i can take a shower?" Kaleb was dry and he was going to need either a long hot soak or a really cold soak before he could make himself sleep.
