[ Roka and Snook should meet sometime. X3 It would certainly be interesting. ]

Tarii smile faltered just a tad bit. Could he judge her because of her class standard? It hasn't been done thus far, but it could be quite damaging to her current status with this boy. Though to lie would be horrible and she would have to keep up with it as well. It would be tough since someone already knew she was in 1B.

With a crooked smile she lightly stated her class. "I'm in 1B, and you?" The words slithered out of her mouth uncomfortably. Like a drug or poison. Oh how she hated the feeling. Just pray that she wouldn't feel regret for being honest.

Miss Ayame looked at her watch, and cleared her throat into the microphone, before saying "Excuse me" to catch everyone's attention. It took a while, but the noise in the hall came to a stop, and everyone turned to look at the teacher. She smiled at seeing that there were already people standing in groups.

"Okay, so now, you are to go back to your classes," She announced, looking at the students' faces. "However, before that, please form up into rows of 2, one line for girls and one line for boys. Your respective teachers will lead you back to your classrooms!"

Miss Ayame nodded, "I'll be taking 1A, Mr Takashi for 1B, Mr Ishida for 1C, and Miss Hitachi for 1D. Now, please line up in the respective rows!"

{OOC: RP yourself parting ways and lining up and such. After that, I'll make your teaches lead you away. ;D}

((I am SO sorry! My internet failed on me and when I finished typing, it said I had logged out, so I had to type it all over again, but I couldn't before dinner. gonk Hope you can forgive me, Emmy!))

"Oh...that..." Roka leaned back and closed his eyes. He berated himself silently for daring to hope he could escape the conversation. Nothing got past this girl. "Mm...it's not so much my family's business as the people who currently run it," he replied, referring to his parents; more specifically his father.

"I personally love music. I enjoy our familiy's business. However, I dislike the notion that great things are expected of me just because I'm the only male heir to our company and I absolutely hate being forced to follow a path that leads to a predetermined fate." He opened his eyes and looked at her. "You're very clever. Isn't your father a famous architect? Why aren't you in 1A?"

Though Miho merely brushed off her fear as a dislike for crowds, Roka had seen the fear in her eyes. Perhaps he had been wrong. She didn't want to escape the students as much as he did - she wanted it more. What must it have been like for her as she lead him through the clusters of people? Probably more terrifying than he could have imagined. And he had put her through it all just becasue he felt trapped. How stupid. None the less, he disregarded her unspoken fears, guessing she would deny it if he brought it up.

"I'm curious...what made you help me back there?" She certainly didn't seem the type to have helped him because she wanted to be friendly. If not for favors, why else? "I could hardly imagine you helping anyone for the sake of being kind. Then again...I must have looked pretty pitiful back there on the floor, backing away from a kitten and looking as helpless as a lost child." In spite of himself, he cracked a small smile.

"Not all people. I thought the same thing. At least until you aided me just now and told me you expected nothing in return." His deep, forest-green gaze seemed distant as they came to rest on her. Roka cast her a cunning glance. "In fact, I'm still having trouble believing it. It's impossible for any Class 1A student to make any honest friends without alterior motives. It's one reason I almost envy the commoners." He put a finger to his lips. "But shh...don't tell. They'll think I'm crazy."

Slowly pushing himself to his feet, he stretched his long limbs, taller than most freshman boys, and then offered Miho a hand to help her up. He could sense the surpressed irritation behind her voice. She obviously believed very strongly in her opinion of humans. Even if Roka seemed uncaring and indifferent on the outside, he really was very sensitive to the feelings of others. It must have been something he had acquired by living with his sisters.

"I agree. If it were up to me, I would have never applied for this school. But as I don't have a say in the matter, I appologize for existing as a human being in your presance, Miss Tamura. And despite your interesting philosophy on why people shouldn't be indebted to one another, I am determined to find a way of expressing my gratitude."

Bowing his head, he briefly cast his eyes in the opposite direction, as if staring at some invisible figure in the distance. "At the moment, however, I must take my leave so as to be back before school starts. My...ah...wayward sisters seemed to have escaped their classes in order to work on a 'special surprise' they said they have ready and waiting for me at home. Who knows what disaster they must be committing now..." He frowned, as if suddenly dreading the thought of what 'special surprise he might find at home.

"They mean well, but I can't help but worry about them all the time. They're rather impulsive and my eldest sister is somewhat powerless to stop them, being mute. I'm a little afraid of going to check on them myself." He looked at Miho with an almost pleading expression. "Would you care to join me?

Mago mago.

Dispite the tone of the girl's voice as she gave an answer to him, the boy didn't seem to notice the uneasy feel. He had however noticed the slight change in the atmosphere, though he couldn't quite pinpoint it. He wasn't sure as to what that feeling was, though really the boy should have noticed what it was, after all he was normally surounded by his sisters. Should he not have been able to tell?

No matter, as it was clearly not clicking within his brain.

Ah, so she was in 1B. A different class then he, but in the end wasn't it all just the same? So it seemed that they woudn't be classmates after all. He'd have to catch her during lunch or idle time if he wanted to talk to her. "
That's neat." he spoke with a smile. "I'm in 1A."

How exactly the boy managed to find himself in such a class, was certainly up for debate. With the boy's rather relaxed (if you could call it that) attitude, and the fact that he was normally clueless about certain things, how did he managed to keep up his A average? Perhaps it was all just an act, though after spending enough time with him, one would easily vote otherwise.

"
I hope we can hang out during the idle hours sometime."

((ROFL... we should! It certainly would be. heart

Oops! Drat, I had meant to post that before they were summoned back to the hall...oh well. Guess Roka can't check on his sisters... xd He'll have to wait 'till he gets home...

I don't think I really intended for him to go check on them just yet, anyway, so it was perfect timing. I didn't want him ruining their fun!))

Tarii smiled at Kohaku lightly, wishing a bit that he was in 1B with her. She doesn't think she met anyone from 1B, which somewhat disappointed her. Turning her head she noticed Mr. Takashi, waiting patiently for all the students in 1B to line up. She groaned a bit, hating lines in any case. It reminded her of her father's restaurant and how busy it always was with the lines. Made her want to barf.

With a muffled sigh she took one last look at the boy and bowed slightly. "I hope I can meet with you again, too," she politely said, trying to hold disappointment in her voice that her new friend was now leaving her alone.

Looking back she sighed and started the line for the 1B girls. At least she only had to see the teacher's face and not the others.

Ah, it was time to go. Pushing tako-chan further up her shoulder, Miiya knew all she needed to do was to follow the source where most of the noise was coming from. Taking a deep breath, she stepped into the crowd,
True enough, there her class was. Rowdy as usual.
Miiya recognized most of them, after all, they were from the same middle school as she.
She stuffed her doll into her bag; Miiya didn't want to patch her doll up again.

'It's the start of the new year!' thought she, 'I'll do my best this year too! Then hopefully I can get promoted to a better class...'

Miss Hitachi..was it? Miiya hoped fervently that she wasn't fierce.

Takumi turned back from where he had been listening to the teacher. The only person he really knew from class 1A was Mitsuko, and naturally he decided to stay with her. Perhaps his other classmates would join them...

Glancing around, Takumi noted where the others had gone to line up, for future reference. Well at least I've already seen my teacher... Shouldn't be too bad.

The sudden announcement caused the girl to look up. Head to the side, she listened intently. When Miss Ayame was done, the girl finally let go of Takumi's sleeve, clutching her hands together in excitement, before turning towards the boy. "We get to see who's in our class now, Takumi-kun!" Eagerly, she took hold of the boy's wrist this time, and started leading him along (She figured that if she held onto his sleeve again, Takumi would end up with long, floppy sleeves by the time they reached the lineup).

She hopped the last step, before turning around and glancing around them, looking now a little nervous. "I don't know anyone else in our class, other than you, Takumi-kun. So you have to be my first class 1A friend, alright?" She grinned.

Kiyoshi didn't know if it was relief or something else, but he had a feeling that miss Ayame would be a good teacher. After all, she was the first teacher that had ever smiled and laugh that much within one single assembly session.

He looked at the other 1A students, and decided to start walking away first. After all, they would still meet in class and for the rest of the year in Ouran. Well, if they kept their grades up, that is. He looked at the teacher standing in front of his classmates, and lined up behind a male he knew from junior high.

Yes, it might turn out to be a good year.

Surprise flittered into Miho’s eyes, this boy was… interesting; quite possibly the first human she’d met who seemed to have any sense. Her head tilted to one side as she studied him. “Mmm, you could see it that way. Or you could follow the path they have set until you have charge and then charge things.” Realizing what she’d just said she silently berated herself, just because the boy seemed at least half way decent didn’t mean he wasn’t human and didn’t have the same faults as every other human; following expectations and doing whatever necessary to earn people’s good opinion.

“Clever?” She laughed softly “Not so much, more like I’m in 1B because of my grades.” That was thing no one would learn from her, that she was clever enough to be in 1A. The people in 1B weren’t quite as bad and being in 1B made you less noticed.

“As to helping you… you just looked like you needed it.” She shrugged softly “Does there really need to be a reason for helping or not helping someone other than you feel like it?” There was no way she was going to admit she knew exactly how he felt cowering there. Amusement lit her eyes as she saw the picture of him on the floor cowering away from a kitten. “I will admit. It’s the first time I’ve seen someone hide from a kitten. You allergic or something?”

“Envy?” She laughed, “You really think that they don’t try and make good connections as well? Oh sure, they’re different ones but there are still top of the chain commoners and bottom of the chain commoners.” Her head tilted as if in thought. “Though they still do seem to be a bit less vindictive than most people here. I don’t think there is such a thing as friend more… just… people using each other.”

Her eyes rolled softly. “I didn’t want to stay at my old school. This was the only other choice my parents gave me, but still it’s be…” Her hand clapped over her mouth. Why on earth was she so chatty today? She’d almost revealed the most important secret!

His puppy dog like look amused Miho and she might have gone with him had the teacher not called. “It seems we have to get back, doesn’t seem like you’ll have time to go home.” She nodded towards to hall. “I should get back…” She hesitated and glanced at him, maybe if he was with her other people wouldn’t try to engage her in conversation. “You… want to come with me?”

As Tarii bid her goodbyes, Kohaku gave a nod, soon turning towards the teachers. Right, now he'd have to go line up with the rest of 1A. He couldn't mess this up, there was simply no way. After the girl left, the long two-tone haired boy slowly made his way over to Miss Ayame. She would be their teacher, so far she seemed rather nice. When he finally got to the line, he stood there quietly, waiting for further instructions.

[ -just remembered that Roka and Snook are in the same class- They shall meet soooooon. >D ]

Minori cringed just as the teacher made the announcement. Already? Carefully, she placed the kitten back into her bag, hushing her to be quiet and closed it, but so that the kitten would have breathing air.

Miss Ayame would be taking her class? Alright then. She stood behind the brown-haired girl...and oh no. The guy that Rose just lavished attention on was in HER class. How lucky.

Takumi followed Mitsuko with an amused expression. "Yes, I suppose so. But I'm sure we'll get to know the others soon enough." He straightened up in line and looked behind curiously to see who his 1A classmates were. His eyes stopped once again on the boy he had seen earlier. The familiar one...

"Hello," he said pleasantly, hoping the other would join him in a conversation.
