Tinania unlike most of this week had decide today she just wanted to stay in her room. She was actually sitting on her bed looking over the book she had gotten from her grandfather's home. She was racking her brain trying to figure out what the language was.

She was dressed still in her pjs, which were pink sweatpant, then a black spaghitti strap. Her hair was down around her face as she layed on her belly. Shaking her head she lays her head on her arms grumbling "I'm never going to figure this out..."

Damien is finally fully awake. He scratches his head and stretches as he stands from the breakfast table.

Mum Lenore just went to lie down. She said she was feeling ill, and Mum Eirnae went with her.

If she is ill, I am pink, Damien thinks, shaking his head as he takes the dishes to the sink.

He is immediately told to go away by Emme.

Sighing, he leaves the kitchen, to be met by Kamus in the hall. He leans down to pet his head before walking toward the stairs.

He pauses, and looks out one of the many windows toward the DarkAngel-Silme wing.

He pulls out one of the rubber bands he keeps in his pajama pockets, and puts his hair back in a slightly-messy poney tail. Then, with Kamus following him (in the form of glittering, rainbow-scaled snakes), he opens the door and heads toward the wing.

Rinon lets him in, and eyes the snakes warily, but says nothing.

Damien heads toward Nani's room. When he is outside it, Kamus returns to her normal form, and sits next to Damien's feet.

Damien lifts a scaled hand, and knocks.

Tinania looks up when she hears the knock. She knew it wasn't her mother, because she was still in bed rest, and Rinon would have been staying close to her at least she thought. Shaking her head she looks back down at she calls across the room "Its open you can come in."

Her bed was cover in book on one side, she had spent most of the morning trying to work on the curse and also work on her class work for the upcoming week.

Damien peeks inside the room. Kamus sticks his head in as well.

Damien steps in, Kamus ever on his heels, and he shuts the door behind him. "Good morning, Nani," he says.

He notes all the books on her bed, and an eyebrow wings up. "What are you working on?"

Tinania looks up then smiles shrugging as she sat up "Alittle be of school work. Need to plan for upcoming classes. Then I was trying to breaks this language so i could ready this book I got from the Malfoy.." she shakes her head then holds her hands out to Damien for a hug "How are you this morning?"

Damien walks toward the bed after telling Kamus to stay by the door.

He then looks down at the book, his brows furrow. "Hmmm . . . It looks like you might have your hands full with that one," he says. "Have you tried looking in the study on our side of the house? We have a few language books."

"And, I am fine," he says, looking toward the door. With a sad little sigh, he asks, "How are you? And, Aunt Krista?"

Tinania looks down at her lap as rubbed her hands together. Looking back up she smiles, ever since the fight she was deteremine to stay strong for her mother. She eyes showed the pain and sadness but she didn't show it the way she held herself "I'm doing good, and no I hadn't check yet. I was going to do that later to actually. Mum still in a deep sleep from what I've been told. Father been going crazy. I'm worry about him also.." she pauses looking back down at her lap.

Damien looks away. "I'm sorry. . . ." he says, softly. He puts a scaled hand on her shoulder.

Secretly, he is really happy that the two of them can still be friends, even with what happened between their mums.

He knows that his mum, at least, feels horrible about what she did. Even if she won't come and visit Krista, she is sending potions. He brings them to Rinon every night. Things to help her heal quicker, things to help her heal without scars, and potions to lessen the pain, and to help Krista sleep.

He sighs again. Now determined to make them both forget about their family drama, Damien asks, "Is there anything here I might be able to help you with?"

Tinania looks up at him then shrugs as she pushes some of the books alittle to give him room to sit. "Unless you could figure out this language I don't think so. I've looked through everything I have yet I still can't figure it out." she pushes her hand though her hair then frowns "Not to mention I have to get a lesson plan down for next week." she sigsh then looks at Damien "Your lucky you know that. Being a teacher is crazy, always grading, and having to come up with lesson plans. Its it wasn't the fact that my pay was good I wouldn't be doing it."

Damien shakes his head. "Sorry, I really couldn't help you with teh language," he says.

Then, he tilts his head to the side. "I don't know, Nani," he says, smiling slightly. "I think I would like teaching. It would be a different sort of learning experience, I think," he says. "But, I can help you with your grading, or whatever else, while I am here. We can still talk," he says.

Tinania smiles then nods "If you wanna help me grade that would be wonderful." she pauses then smiles tilting her head "Well actually we have a job opening at the school. Its in English also, I could see you doing a good job with that subject. " she relaxes as she picks up a handful of papers and a red marker handing them to Damien.

Pulling out the answer sheet she hands that to him also as she picks up her own handful of paper but a different answer sheet.

Damien takes the papers, and shifts back onto the bed. He crosses his legs 'Indian style,' and sets the papers down in his lap.

"You do?" he asks, twirling the marker in his hands. "Do you mean English as in literature and sentence-structure English, or English as a Second Language?" he asks, tilting his head. "And, what age group are you talking about?"

Tinania looks up then smiles "English as in literature, you know the love of books your have?" she winks then nudges him. "The man teaching the class retired, so the opening there. Were looking for someone who is young and knows the subject real well." she pauses then smiles "You be teaching people our age, like Celia or Tari....Celia in the potion class I teach." she pushes her hair back then finishes the one paper she was grading.

Damien chuckles. "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try," he says, looking over the tests. He finds he doesn't need the answer sheet, and sets it aside.

"Maybe you could help me get my foot in the door," Damien says, putting an 'x' next to one of the answers before moving on. "I really don't know if I am qualified."

Tinania looks over at Damien then smirks "I'll talk to Kira. But I don't think you'll have a problem. I'll talk to her on Monday before classes start then get back to you. How does that sound?" she looks over the paper in er hand marking an 'x' by quite a few of them then writing something about talk to me after class and I'll help you.

Placing the paper down she smile "It be cool to have you there, not only is everyone great, but give us more time to hang out. Plus I know you would have fun there." she giggles then looks back down at the next paper "So why you looking for another job anyways?"

Damien shrugs. "I don't like to ask Lucius to lie to Mum Lenore," he says. "I don't want her to know I am working in her wand shop. And, Lucius won't let me go collect wand cores with him. Sitting around the shop and reading is fun, but I don't feel like I am doing anything to earn the money."

He shrugs again. "Plus, I just want a job. I don't want to be sitting around the house all the time for the rest of my life. If I ever have children, what sort of example does that set for them?"

That caused Tinania to giggles "Okay when did you start thinking about kids? I thought you wanted to wait until you were older?" she sits there just watching him. For once she was being really curious before she gets blunt "Have you and Rhi even had sex yet?" she knew that would shock Damien, she had never been blunt with him before.

Damien pauses in the middle of the check mark he is making. He looks up at Nani, his eyes a little wider than normal.

He would have gaped at her, had he allowed himself.

He shakes his head and clears his throat before returning to the paper before him. "A gentleman does not speak of his sex life," is his reply, as he looks over the paper again.

The only consolation he has right now is that the burning in his face that he expected to come is not as great as it would have been months ago. He has gotten better at stamping the blush out.

"And, I am just thinking about my future," With Rhiannon, he thinks. "I should start a carreer, one that I think I will enjoy. Teaching is one of the avenues I toyed with."

Tinania smirks, she knew Damien to well, the way he acted then what he said gave it away. Cause everytime she hit the mark he went gentlemen on her. Giggling she shrugs "Okay just curious...."

Placing the finally paper down she looks over at Damien nodding "I understand, its why me and Surion both have jobs. We wanna be able to support eachother and the furture. Whatever that holds, plus then there the new house.." she pauses smiling alittle just thinking about it.

Smiling she giggles alittle as she picks up a different set of papers starting to grade those "Can you believe how much has changed since we were both kids? I use to sit in your lap when you read, now were grown and have separate lives..." she pauses again then looks at Damien "Promise me that no matter what happen, we'll always be friend. No matter what I don't wish to lose you Mein. You next to Surion are the closest people in my life."

"The house?" Damien asks, finishing his own stack of papers, and moving on to the next.

Damien sighs, and puts the lid back on his marker. He sets it neatly atop the stack of papers, and steeples his fingers. "You know, when we were children, it was much better. We didn't fight until recently."

He studies Tinania. "But, I am glad that we are still close. . . . I don't think that will change. We grew up together, that counts for something. Besides," he smiles. "You're my best friend, and family. Nothing will change that."

Then, he takes the lid off of the marker, and starts browsing the tests. "That's why I want to ask you something. I don't want anyone to know, but I need advice. . . ."

Tinania smiles then leans over giving Damien a hug "Yes nothing will ever change that. No matter what..." she goes back grading the papers marking a few wrong answers every now and then.

Looking up she tilts her head to the side "Yea I'm gonna be moving out soon, and moving into a new home with Surion, so you don't have to worry about your kid sister bugging you anymore." she winks as she crossed her legs in front of her before looking at him slightly concern. When did Damien ever need advise, didn't he know everything? "Okay what kind of advise? Maybe I can help you for a change?" she smiles placing the red marker down in her lap.

Damien chuckles. "You don't bug me, Nani," he says, tapping his chin with the marker as he keeps reading. "I think Surion might have mentioned the house to me. . . ." Of course, that might have been when Surion gave him a headache with his fast-talking. . . . "I am happy for you and Surion, though. Congratulations."

He then clears his throat uncomfortably. He tells her what he has in mind, and figets when he is finished. He marks on the paper, and puts the grade at the top before moving on to the next one.

Tinania jaw drop slightly and her eyes widen before she giggles "Go for it Damein. No point in waiting right?" she winks then leans in whispering something she hadn't told anyone just to make sure she doesn't jinx it.

Leaning back she blushes then giggles pushing her hand through her hair "Yea anyways. I would in a heart beat if I was you..." she grabs a few more papers still slightly red.

Damien is blushing as well, and he smiles. He tells her another sort of tidbit, and is smiling now.

Then, he finishes off the pile in front of him, and recaps the marker again. "I don't think you have long to wait, at any rate, Nani," he says. "Really. It is too obvious that that is where you are headed. . . ." he grins at that, and gives Nani's shoulder a squeeze.

Tinania covers her mouth to stop herself from screaming with delight. She places her papers done completely forgetting about them. She turns looking at Damien then giggles "Awww..." that was all she could say.

Looking down she wrinkles her nose then blushes even more "Yea I know were heading that way. But its the waiting that got me. You know, I just want it to happen.." she looks up then shrugs. "Only give his dad another reason to ask when he going to be a grandfather..."

"Yeah, I have this whole plan that I hope is going to work," Damien sighs. "We will see. . . ."

Then, he chuckles. "Oh? They are already talking about grandchildren?" he asks. "I feel a little sorry for you. I have heard stories of how Mum Lenore was. . . ." he says.

Tinania blushes then does the only this she can, she hides her face in her hands "Oi don't remind me. I swear they want me to have kids, but I'm not ready yet, nor is Surion..." she peeks out between her fingers.

"How did your mother act while she was pregrant with you?" she was slightly curious because she never really understood what she read in the book about what it was like.

"Well, they are just planting the thought in your head, I think," Damien laughs. "Making sure you know, for sure, that they want grandchildren."

Damien raises his eyebrow at Nani's questions. "Well, I heard she ate everything in sight, she had violent mood swings. And, there was one time, when she woke Mum Eirnae up at . . . I think it was close to two in the morning. She made her go get papayas for her." he chuckles. "It is no picnic, though," he adds.

Tinanai groans then shakes her head "Oh dear visha I'm in trouble...." she swallows then laughs "It don't help that Surion people are known for having more then one child..." leaning back she lays her hand over her stomach then giggles "It would be worth it, having my own child to care for.." she looks over at Damien then smiles "You should come over to our home once we finally move in. Just to get away from everything going on here..I don't knwo about you, but I hate seeing the family fight.."

Damien laughs. He can't help it! "You're going to have twins!" he teases.

Then, he sobers up pretty quickly. "Yes, I think I will come visit. . . . In truth, that is one of the reasons I have not been home so much. . . . I don't like seeing this happen. But, there is nothing we can do. Mum Lenore and Aunt Krista are both too stubborn to listen to either of us."

Tinania gasps and pushes at Damien laughing "Don't jinx me. Otherwise when I do have kids, your babysitting them..." she was joking she wouldn't do that to Damien.

Tinania herself frowns then nods "Yea they are, watch it take something really bad to bring this family back together..." she sighs then looks at the bed "I hate that they are fighting, they are acting like kids..." she knew she didn't have any room to talk, but she still didn't like it.

"Yeah, that is what usually brings this family back together. It is never something good when we all fight. . . ." Damien sighs. "We'll see though . . . I just wish it didn't get to . . . the point that it got to. . . ." he says, quietly.

Tinania sighs going quiet herself, she didn't like the thought of anything bad happening, this family was going through enough as it was. Looking up at Damien she shakes her head "Let just hope it doesn't happen that way..."

Damien pats Nani's knee, and nods. He then pushes the papers into a neat pile. "I had better go get dressed. I have some more errands to run today," he leans over and hugs Nani. "Things will get better, just hold onto that. And, if you ever need me, I am only a few minutes walk away," he says, smiling a little.

Tinania returns the hug then nods "I will Damien. and I'll stop by your room once I talk to Kira I promise." she kisses his cheek then smiles "Yes everything will work out for the better.."

Damien returns the kiss on the cheek, and gives Nani's hair a stroke.

Then, he pulls away. "I'll await the verdict, then," he says.

He then points at the papers. "Don't stay cooped up all day. Go visit the koi or something," he says, trying his hand at a smile.

He then leaves, Kamus following.

Tinania nods then smiles "I'll try not to...talk to you later Mein." she watches as he leave then turns looking at the papers again. Biting her bottom lip she instead goes for the spell book again trying to once again break the language.

Monday - January 23, 2006.

Damien got a visit from Tinania this morning. So, he is not pacing the office of Kira, his hands clasped behind his back.

He went all out to try and make a good impression. He has one of his best tunics on: one that brushes his knees and is made with the finest elven weaves done in a shimmering silver, and black. Added to that are tight black pants and knee-high black leather boots, with silver leaves embroidered on the edges. A black belt, of the same weave, is tied at his waist, and a floor-dusting, elaborate jacket, with elbo-length, wide sleeves complete the outfit.

His hair is neatly pulled back in a braid that swings at his waist as he paces.

He stops pacing when he hears the door open. He looks over at the drow woman that walks in, and stands straight, his hands still clasped behind his back. He inclines his head to her.

And blushes at the light laughter that comes from her.

"A little nervous?" Kira asks, taking sweeping strides toward her desk.

"A little," Damien admits.

Kira gestures at the chair in front of her before sinking into her own. "Please, sit," she says.

Damien does as asked, and folds his hands in his lap.

"Now, Tinania has told me much about you," she says, folding her own hands on her desk, and leaning over her desk. "She told me that you have read your way through almost every book in that library your mums call a study in the manor," she continues, gesturing in the vague direction of Damien's home.

"That's correct," Damien replies.

"Well, let's get started, shall we?" Kira asks, smiling cheerfully.

~*~*~***~*~*~

The interview was long, and Damien was tested quite a bit on his knowledge of literature anf grammar.

But, he is smiling when he leaves. Kira informed him that he is to report to work the next day.

He looks up at the sun in the sky, and pulls the hood of his jacket up over his head. He starts to walk back toward the manor, deciding to take the long way.

(( Because I can. And, yeah, that is what he is wearing. . . . ))

Proposal, pt 1

Damien walks up the walk to Rhiannon's home. He is braving the sun, praying to Eilistraee that he doesn't get sunburned on his face. Yes, it is trivial, but sunburns are painful!

His gray tunic sways in the wind behind him, along with the darker-gray 'belt' he has tied around his waist. His loose green-streaked, light brown hair sways with him as he keeps walking. He stares down at the ground beneath him as his feet move.

Smiling, he finally reaches the door. He lifts a scaled hand to knock on the door, and hums a nameless tune as he waits.

Rhiannon tugged on her jeans as her sensitive wolven ears picked up the knocking sounds at the front door. She had been going through her wardrobe, making piles of clothes that she would take to a charity shop. She hurriedly scooped up the pile, stuffing them into a bin bag, zipped her jeans closed and tugged on a cut-off tee before running downstairs. Opening the door she let out a small happy squeal and jumped on Damien, wrapping her arms around him and hugging him tightly.

Damien almost falls over, having not braces himself for the jump. He manages to stay on his booted-feet, and puts his arms around Rhiannon.

"Well, isn't this a wonderful welcome," he says, chuckling a little. "I missed you too, Rhiannon."

He strokes her hair, and breathes in the scent of her. He keeps his arms around her. Well, until she gives him any indication that she wants to pull away. Until then, he is going to hug her tight.

Rhiannon nestled into him, kissing the side of his neck, and then along his face. She looked into his eyes and smiled;
'Hello,' she said softly, then released him just long enough to tug him inside, and shut the door behind them.

"Hello," Damien replies, ignoring the tingling he felt when she kissed his neck. "Ah, I found you well, I assume?" he says, an amused expression on his face as he studies her.

Rhiannon nodded, bringing one of his hands up to her face and kissing it, still keeping her eyes on him. His scent was all over her now, and it inflamed her blood, causing her cheeks to redden and breath to quicken...sometimes she wondered how close to animal she was, but she just wanted him - now if possible.

Damien stares, and he feels his cheeks redden a little. He squeezes her hand and, again, with a hint of amusement in both his voice and on his face, he says, "Before other . . . activities enter out minds, I wanted to talk to you about February."

Then, because he wants to, Damien pulls Rhiannon close to him, and gives her a kiss, squeezing her close.

Rhiannon nodded, letting him pull her close and returning the kiss. She tugged gently on his bottom lip with her teeth and pulled away.
'I wouldnt do that again if you want to just talk right now,' she grinned, walking off towards the living room.

Damien lets out a - hopefully - cooling breath, and follows her. He takes a seat on the couch, and looks at her.

"Well, I will make a note not to do that again," he says, smiling ever so slightly. "Now, I am sure you are wondering about what I have planned for those days. . . ." he pauses a moment, letting the silence draw out. "I am only willing to tell you one of my plans. And, that is only because it explains why I asked for so much time with you."

Then, he falls silent, waiting for her reaction.

Or, just trying to drive her crazy.

Rhiannon sat next to him, letting a hand fall on this thigh, tracing circles with her fingers;
'Well yes I was..' she nodded, listening further.
'Oh so you're going to be a big tease in more then one way huh?' she smiled to let him know she was kidding around.

Damien chuckles. "I suppose I am," he admits.

Because he can't concentrate with her finger running on his thigh, he takes her hands in his. "Now, I really hope you don't get the wrong idea when I tell you what I have done. I don't expect anything, I just wanted to spend some time with you. And, since I am hoping I am right about how well I think you know me, I really don't think you will slap me. . . ."

He expells a nervous breath. "I booked us a room. It isn't the best room, but it isn't a seedy one, either. I thought you might want a break from everything for a while, and, as I have said, I just wanted to spend time with you. I can always get my money back if you don't want to stay there, however," he says, letting her know that there is a way out should she want to take it. "I have a few other things planned as well, but they don't require us staying together." He studies her face, unconsciously holding his breath.

Rhiannon blinked, not really noticing that he was holding her hands. Why a room away? It wasnt like they couldnt do that sort of stuff here..but then it would be nice not to have to worry about someone barging in; or her father putting his nose in. She let out a little chuckle;
'Damien I cannot get enough of us being together like that...' she moved her hands so that she was holding his, and squeezed them.
'But I'd love to be alone with you...and do whatever you wish.'
Her curiosity still held though, what were the other things he was going to do?

Damien blinks. Well, she did get the wrong idea. But, she didn't seem mad about it. . . .

He DIDN'T get the room for sex, he got it to take her away from home things for a while. And, as he said honestly, to spend more time with her.

Also, and this was a tiny part of it, to test them. See if they would be able to get through constant contact with each other. In case they ever decide to move out together. . . .

"Well, that's good," he says, grinning now, even if there is the slight blush at the tips of his ears. "I thought you were going to slap me for even suggesting having a room together," he says, his voice soft.

Rhiannon leaned in, brushing her lips softly against his cheek, touching the little scales.
'I'm not sure why you'd think that,' she purred in a low voice.
'I hate to leave you when we have to part as it is.'

Damien puts a hand on her cheek, and tilts his head. Thoughts tickle at the back of his brain, but he does not voice them.

Instead, he shrugs. "I don't know. In retrospect, it might have been a sleezy-boyfriend move to make," he smiles, sheepishly.

Then, he pokes her nose. "But, that makes two of us. I don't like to leave you, either." He tucks his hair behind his ears.

"But," he starts, in a teasing tone, "I think you will enjoy the things I have planned. . . ."

'Only if your girlfriend was the prim and proper type,' Rhiannon poked the tip of her tongue out at him.
'I'm sure I will...I just wish I didnt have to wait until February to know what they were.' she trailed a free hand along his thigh again.
'Was that all you wanted to tell me?' she smiled, looking at him and raising her brows.

"Well . . ." he trails off. "Nope, you will just have to wait," he winks at her.

Then, he taps his chin, another way to take his mind off of her hand. "I got a job?" he says, smiling sheepishly again.

Rhiannons hand trailed upwards, towards the top of his leg, her fingers pressing through the material of his trousers.
'Oh you did? Doing what?'
Talking about jobs reminded her of another conversation, about something she had mention to him. She waited for him to reply first though.

Damien audibly gulps, and looks away, taking a moment. "Well. . . . I am teaching English in the village in Emerald Forest," he says. "The pay is great, and I will be. . . . ah . . . teaching about something . . . I know a bit about. . . ."

Proposal, pt 2

'That's good,' Rhiannon smiled at his reaction, letting her fingers travel around a bit, teasing him.
'I'm glad at least one of us is doing something as a career that they like to do.'

"Ah . . . how is work . . . for you?" Damien asks, finding it VERY hard to think right now.

'Becoming tedious,' she stilled her hand for a moment, frowning.
'The money is ok, but it's not challenging. Trouble is I don't know what I would like to do.'

Damien expells a breath of relief, and he relaxes. "Oh?" he asks, frowning a little. "Do you have anything in mind? Something tickling at the back of your head? Nothing is too silly," he says.

She squeezed his thigh, shaking her head.
'Nothing is coming to mind right now,' Rhiannon licked her lips.
'But then you are very, very distracting to me.' she breathed.
'Tell me what else is new with you before I completely lose control of my more..animal instincts.'

Damien blinks, the chain on his ear cuff swaying a little. "Nothing," he says, his voice almost a squeak. He clears his throat. "I believe I told you everything."

Yep, he knows that look in her eyes, he remembers it very vividly. And, he is also being reminded of the effect it has on him.

Her other hand trailed upwards, fingers touching the chain dangling from his ear.
'So not this then?' she smiled, clambering onto his lap and replaced her fingers with her mouth, teasing the flesh of his earlobe, and kissing along the ridge. She pulled away again.
'So that would be everything then?' Rhiannon laid her hands flat on his chest, head tilted as she looked at him.

Damien pretty much melts when she touches his ears.

Then, loses control of his senses when she teases him.

Mumbling an oath, he pushes her back, and brings his lips to hers.

HOW does she always get him this CRAZY?

Rhiannon made a noise in the back of her throat; a small squeaky growl of excitement as Damien's mouth met hers again. Her fingers scrabbled at the tunic he was wearing, trying to work out if it could be opened or just taken off him. She settled for now for slipping hands under it, feeling his skin under her probing fingers made the noise sound again.

Damien unties his belt, and tosses it aside, before working on the tiny buttons of his tunic.

Before he can toss THAT aside, he comes up for air. "Are we alone?" he asks, in a breathy whisper. He glances around, as though he expects someone to jump out at them and scream "BOO!"

Rhiannon's tail wagged, as Damien seemed to realise her problem and undid the tunic for her. She kissed his chest, trailing the very tip of her tongue on his skin. She stopped, nodding.
'Completely alone,' she whispered, trailing her fingers along his sides.

He still is glancing around when he shrugs out of his tunic.

He REALLY doesn't want another few boxes of condoms. . . .

He smiles again. "In that case. . . ." he says, before resumng the kiss.

'My father hasnt been around since that last time,' she said as though she could hear his thoughts, her voice betraying the anger she felt for her father.
'Do you care really anyway? My mother likes you..' Rhiannon kissed his chest, then attacked one of his ears again.
'And I love you, and I very much want to be with you here and now.'

Damien pauses a moment to think.

Well, think as clearly as he can, anyway.

"No, I don't care," he says. He brushes a bit of Rhiannon's hair from her face. He sits up long enough to scoop her into his lap. "And, I love you, too. More than I could tell you. . . ."

"Rhiannon. . . ." he pauses. He looks over at his tunic, which is lying on the floor in front of the couch. "I. . . ."

Goddess, can't he just get the blush to stop coming? And, a slower heart-rate would be nice too. . . .

Her heart swelled, and she felt kind of floaty when he said such beautiful things. She kissed in the crook of his neck, and then sat back on his lap again.
'You what sweetie?' Rhiannon asked, head cocked and ears pricked.

Yep, he has lost the use of his voice. So, instead, he reaches for his tunic.

Lifting it off the floor, he grabs something out of the pocket. It is in a small, purple, velvet pouch with gold rope keeping it closed.

It is probably only ONE of he reasons Rhiannon didn't feel it there. He has been carrying it with him since he got it. Oddly enough, so that he didn't lose it.

He was going to wait, but now seemed as good a time as any. . . .

"Ah," he says, and takes Rhi's hand. He opens it, and slips the pouch in there.

'Ah,' is about as far as he can get.

'What's this?' she wondered out loud, looking at him. For the moment carnal thoughts were replaced by curiosity. She undid the gold securing it, and upended it onto an open hand. The ring flashed in the light as it landed on her palm.
'What's..this for?' Rhiannon asked, biting her lip and looking at him. It was beautiful, but she wondered from his sudden inability to string together a sentence if it meant..something.

Damein scratches his head and smiles, nervously. "You're going to make me say it, aren't you?" he asks.

"I am . . . hoping. . . . It is an engagement ring," he says, his voice little above a whisper.

'Umm..pardon me - what?' Rhiannon stammered out, thinking that maybe because he had spoken so quietly that she had misheard him. After all, the possibility of this moment had been a mere dream, a magical hope that she had entertained.
'Damien,' she managed, the hand holding the ring trembling, and tears pooling.

"Oh, you heard me," Damien says, watching her eyes water. Uh oh, he thinks. I might have miss-judged the feelings she felt for me.

Self doubt, that he hides, fills him. But, he moves his hand to rest on Rhiannon's cheek. "Mela," he starts. He stops himself from saying his usual 'erm,' and continues, "Marry me?"

Rhiannon nodded at first, causing the tears to spill then cried out;
'Yes!...yes,' she said firmly, her emotions making her voice tremor.
'Oh Damien,' she murmured, clutching the ring tight enough in her hand to leave a mark and kissing him hungrily. She pulled away, holding the ring towards him.
'Will you put it on my finger for me? I want you to.'

Damien's heart pretty much stops at that point. And, despite himself, his own eyes mist over.

But, he takes the ring in a trembling hand, and nods. After a little difficulty, Damien slips the ring on her finger.

Beaming, he puts his hands on either side of her face, and leans in to kiss her again.

"You have made me very, very happy," he says, softly, when he pulls away.

Rhiannon is crying properly now, and gets off him for a moment, grabbing a tissue and drying her face. She sat right next to him again, nestling into him and looking at the ring on her finger, tilting it so that the light catches it in different ways.
'I love you Damien,' she said, looking at him.
'And I dont think I've ever been so happy as right now.' she kissed him on the cheek.

Damien takes the opportunity, when he back is turned, to hastily wipe at his eyes. "And, I love you Rhiannon," that seems to be all he is able to say at the moment. So, he simply holds her to him, humming, softly, the same, nameless une as before.

'Was this what you had planned for February?' Rhiannon asked, sounding amused because if it was he was adorably cute for not being able to wait till then. She stroked his arm, resting on his bare shoulder.

"Uhm, one of the many things. . . ." He admits, blushing a little at that. "Sorry. I guess I couldn't wait." He reaches up to poke her nose. "You always get me caught up in the heat of the moment."

'It's okay...its more then okay,' Rhiannon giggled.
'It was perfect.' she turned her head and kissed shoulder, remembering with the touch of her lips against his warm skin what they had paused with his proposal.
'You are perfect,' she mumbled, teeth softly grazing him.

Damien has enough brain-power to teasingly say, "Eh, you're alright," with the same grin that he gives her to show her he is joking.

And then, his own brain goes back to what they were doing as well. Getting back in the spirit of things, he leans in and nibbles at her neck, his fingers running up her spine and under her shirt.

Rhiannon nipped him at that, leaving a little red mark that slowly faded;
'So mean,' she said, smiling though. She felt the heat rise inside as his hands wandered, and she moved, motioning for him to lay back, leaning across him to lay the cushions down so he was comfy.

Damien lies back, as he is 'told.' He smiles again, he can't seem to stop, and reaches his scaled hands to fist, gently, in Rhi's hair at the nape of her neck.

One of his hands leaves her hair, and moves to he belly-button, trailing up.

Rhiannon leaned into his hands a moment, eye sliding shut. She licked her lips, looking at him and leaning over and down, trailing a path down his body, using mouth and tongue, lapping at his belly. She stopped at his pants, but they didnt stop her, and once she'd undone them, she carried on with her mouth....

Damien is just lying thee, pretty damn relaxed for someone who was a bundle of nerves earlier.

In fact, he can't move. He's blissfully numb. With his eyes closed, he breathes slowly. He reaches for Rhiannon's hair, to run his fingers through it. But, he can't even move his arm.

"Hmmmm," is all he says.

Rhiannon had gone away after trying out the thing she had wanted to try on Damien..which seemed like a big success - fetching a blanket and draping it over both of them as she snuggled against him again, kissing him tenderly on the cheek.
'Well,' she said, giggling softly and laying a hand on his chest, her eyes again glancing at the lovely engagement ring.
'That was...well I guess you liked it huh?' she asked, grinning.

Damien nods, and manages to snake his arms around Rhiannon. He opens an eye to look at her.

It occurs to him that she might not have enjoyed it as much as him.

Well, he thinks. I can't leave my finace 'wanting,' now, can I?

Fiance. He likes the sound of that, even if he has only said it in his head.

With those thoughts in his head, he shifts, switching so that he is on her. With a twinkle in his eye, he starts to repay her.

~*~*~***~*~*~

When Rhiannon's legs had finally quit trembling and she could focus properly she wrapped her tired body around him.
'That was...' she kissed the nearest part of him she could reach before going on.
'Very, very nice...' she smiled, feeling sleepy now. But she knew that they couldnt do that here. At some point her mother would come home.

Damien, feeling pretty pleased with himself, and, for once, happy that Fauna had cornered him in Greece to badger him, looks at Rhi.

He seems to have the same thoughts in his head, about sleeping, and them being in too public a part of the house.

"I have a proposition for you," he starts. "If you can make it to your room, I will stay the rest of the day with you. . . ."

Rhiannon stifled a yawn, nodding.
'I can make it anywhere if you're the inducement,' she said, her voice drowsy. She said up, gathering her clothes, leaving the blanket for Damien to cover himself with and began to shuffle to her bedroom.

Damien burrows in the covers, and grabs up his asorted articles of clothing, including his boots.

Shifting them to one arm, he moves toward Rhi. "Lean on me," he offers, making steady progress to the room.

Rhiannon waved him off, laughing a little.
'I'm fine,' she said.
'My legs are working a bit better now,' and she winked at him as they approached her door, pushing it open. She discarded the last items of clothing that she had on and scampered to her bed, getting under the covers.
'Shut the door,' she called, grinning at him from across the room.

Damien was already shutting it, and he drops his clothes on the floor then.

Still huddled in the blanket, he walks to the bed, and slides in, sliding under the covers as well. He snuggles close and closes his eyes.

"I can see my life when we are married," he comments. "You tell me what to do, and I do it," he teases, nuzzling a scaled cheek in the pillow

Rhiannon showered him in butterfly kisses, nuzzling him and sliding close under the covers.
'When we are married I want to only please you..' she said, pausing her attentions and looking at him. Reaching up under the quilt she stroked his cheek.
'In many and varied ways..' she grinned before kissing his nose.
'I love you,' she whispered, her eyes closing as she held onto him.

Damien snugs. "We'll be married, and I will be happy," he says, content. "I love you too, mela."

He holds her closer, and strokes her hair until they both drift off.

Morning After, pt 1

Rhiannon stretched, the covers falling from her naked self and she slid from the bed, tiptoeing from it. She looked back at Damien's still sleeping form and smiled, picking up a robe and sliding it on. The cuff on her left arm caught a little on her ring, and she tugged it off the ring, smiling at it. She sighed happily..so it wasnt just a beautiful dream - she really was engaged. She went over to her desk, sitting in the chair at it and pulled her diary from a drawer, flipping it open to the last entry, and began to write, scribbling out an entry whilst he still slept.

Damien stirs, flopping onto his stomach. His face moves so that it is in the pillow.

It doesn't take him long after to open his eyes a little. He scratches his head, his hair very disheveled, and turns on to his back.

He is a little disoriented. Frowning, he looks at the ceiling. He sits up and stretches.

It is then that he realizes he is naked. That is when the memories come back.

He looks around for Rhiannon.

Rhiannon turned, sure she had heard movement. She closed her diary, putting it away again before leaving the desk and going back to her bed. She sat next to him, the robe falling open as she leaned over to kiss him on the cheek.
'Morning sleepy head.'

Damien smiles, and hugs Rhiannon. "Morning," he says, still sleepy. He brings a scaled hand up to his hair, trying to sort it out. "How is my fiance?" he asks, grinning sleepily now.

'Very happy,' she said, grinning at his dishevelled hair. Rhiannon slid over the bed, curling her legs around him and giving him a fine view of herself. She reached up and caught up in her hand a length of his hair.
'Don't think I've ever seen you like this before,' she grinned.
'I like it..'

Damien snorts, bringing his arms around her. He leans forward, nuzzling his cheek into her chest and closing his eyes, listening to her heart beat. "I look wretched," he says, his voice slightly muffled. "You, on the other hand, look delicious." As though to prove his, he nips her teasingly.

Rhiannon smiled broadly, her pulse racing a little.
'You are always handsome, but I like how you look because it reminds me of where you spent the night..' a small noise of pleasure left her mouth as his teeth grazed her skin.
'Tease you are...' she stroked his hair, her fingers untangling the knots.

Damien chuckles, and pulls his head back. He lets her play with his hair as he twirls a chunk of hers around his fingers. "If you keep doing that, I will fall asleep again," he says, smiling.

Then, with a wicked glitter in his eyes, he nips at her neck. "I am paying you back for all those times you teased me," he says, low and close to her neck still.

'Well we can't have that can we,' Rhiannon chuckled, letting the hair fall from her fingers. She wriggled against him, as his attentions were waking up parts of her again.
'Damien,' she mumbled as her fingers roamed his back.
'I think we should make an effort to get out of bed..' she said.
'Well soon anyways,' she giggled.

Damien looks up at Rhiannon, and raises an eyebrow. "Soon, eh?" he asks. "What did you have planned that requires us in the bed?" he asks, feigning innocence.

'Keep nipping me and you'll find out,' she warned, winking at him. She flipped her hair out of the robes collar and smoothed it down a little.
'Besides we have to tell our respective parents at some point, so we cant stay in bed all day unfortunately.' she reached and stroked his face.

When she meantions their parents, he pales a little. "I didn't tell my mums I wouldn't be home. . . ." he mumbles.

Then, he pales even more. "Is your mum going to kill me?" he asks, looking up at Rhiannon. "Should I prepare myself for death?"

Alright, he is being dramatic, and he realizes this. So, he laughs. "Sorry. I am going crazy," he shakes his head. "Did you want to tell your mum now, or later?" he asks, still smiling.

'You didnt?' Rhi tried not to laugh at Damien's expression then. She shook her head.
'Nah...she wants me to be happy and she's heard me talk about you enough to know that this is what I want.'
Rhiannon giggled, nodding.
'You are crazy,' she leaned, kissing him.
'Still love you though. Later, my mum wont be here till tonight.'

"Oh?" he says, forgetting his parent's temporarily. He tries to tickle Rhiannon, and asks, "What do you say about me?"

He chuckles and shakes his head. "Well, at least I know that if I ever crack, you will still be at my side," he says.

"Well, what do we do until then?" Damien asks, referring to the time Sayuri will be back. "Besides getting dressed and waiting," he adds.

Rhiannon squealed, moving across the bed to dodge his tickling fingers.
'I told her you are the most fantastic lover I've ever had!,' she grinned.
'It's ok, I can tell her on my own. I don't mind...' and she shook her head at his last words.
'Dressed? Oh no not yet..' she purred, inching back down the bed towards him.

Despite himself, he blushes. "Best lover, huh?" he asks. He chuckles.

"If you want me to stay with you when you tell her, I can," he offers.

"Uh oh, I know that look," he says, grinning. He reaches over to grab at her, and pull her close to him for a kiss.

Rhiannon nodded;
'Yeah and I said..' her words were stopped as his lips met hers and she returned it, deepening the kiss and nudging him into laying down again.

Damien makes a noise into the kiss, as though saying 'no', and he nudges her, getting her to lie back. His hands working on the robe as he does so.

Rhiannon wondered what he was saying no to and almost pulled away, worried, but then he he nudged her back and she smiled, pulling him down to her and wrapping her legs around his body....

Damien pushes the robe open further, fingers going over familiar areas. His still-messy hair makes a curtain around their faces as he stays with the kiss.

Rhiannon reached out blindly, sliding a little from under him towards her bedside drawers and pulled one open, fishing around for a little packet and managing to grasp one with her fingertips, before sliding back under Damien properly.
'Let's start the morning properly shall we?' she purred, looking up at him and rehooking her legs around him....

Damien looks at the packet. He nods, and then takes a moment to "suit up," before returning his attention to Rhiannon. . . .

Morning After, pt 2

Rhiannon lay looking at the ceiling, a leg still hooked over Damien and a relaxed look on her face. She wriggled into the sheets;
'That is the best way to start the day,' she said, stretching her arms above her head.

Damien is lying on Rhi, though he is being as thoughtful as possible and not putting all his weight on her. "I would have to agree," he says. Shifting a little, so he is only half on her, he rests his head on her arm. "Though, if we did this every morning, we might never leave the bed. . . ." he comments.

Rhiannon chuckled, turning her head so that she could look at him.
'I'm sure we have more control then that,' she said.
'After all, I'm about to get up and go shower. You can join me if you want,' she stretched a little, kissing Damien.

Damien sits up and looks at Rhiannon. "I think I will wait on my shower," he says, smiling slightly. "Or I might turn into some sort of monster," he winks. With the smile still on his face, he says, "Ah, and I have to call my mums. I need to guage how much trouble I am in before I go home. . . ." he scratches the back of his head a little nervously.

Rhiannon pouted;
'You really won't join me?' she sat up, untangling herself from him and the sheets.
'Well if you won't you can go call home whilst I'm in there. We only have the one shower, the second bathroom has a bath.' she slid to the edge of her bed, looking at him.

Damien chuckles. "How about I make the phone call, and then pop in with you?" he offers.

She smiled, getting up and padding naked across her room.
'I'll get you a towel,' she called and left her room. She was back a moment later, a towel wrapped around herself and one folded under her arm.
'Here,' she said, chucking it at him with a giggle.
'The 'phone is downstairs in the hallway, and I'll leave the bathroom door open so you can hear the shower and find it.'

Damien nods, and wraps the towel around himself. "I'll be back up soon," he says. He starts to the door, and looks back. He gives her a wink before disappearing.

Sighing, he goes down the stairs to make the phone call. When he does, he gets Mum Lenore, and her screeching voice makes him hold the reciever far from his sensative ears. "Look!" he cries over her. "I will explain when I get home! MUM! Put Mum Eirnae on!" frustrated, he paces a little. He knows he will get a more rational response from Eirnae. He'll make his appologies, and promise to be home in a few hours. . . .

Rhiannon went into the shower-room, after pulling a brush through the nest that was her hair. She slid open the glass door to the cubicle, putting in a bottle of shampoo, and shower foam before stepping inside and running the water. The jet-spray was heavenly, and wetted her hair before lathering it up.

"Rhiannon's," Damien replies. "I'll be home in a few hours, I promise. . . No, I didn't go anywhere else . . . We were just hanging out. . . . Yes, I am aware that I should have called," he actually rolls his eyes. "No, I wasn't rolling my eyes," he says, blinking. "All will be explained. Mum Eirnae, I have to go. . . . Yes, soon. . . . Bye. . . . I love you too," he ends, a little quieter than he was talking before. He can here the amusement in Mum Eirnae's voice before he hands up.

Rubbing his temples, he goes back up the stairs. He follows the sound of the running water, and steps into the bathroom. Discarding the towel, he climbs in. "I hope that your bath products don't smell too flowery," he says, softly, in a playful voice.

Rhiannon finished rinsing the shampoo from her hair before answering and showed him the bottle of shower foam.
'It's menthol actually, so you'll smell like toothpaste.' she giggled, smooshing against him and wetting him from the moisture on her body.

Damien chuckles, and shifts her slightly, so that he can get under the spray. "Better than . . . Oh, roses?" he comments, letting the water flow over him. His muscles relax a little, and he sighs, content. "So, how does this work? I clean you, you clean me?" he asks, his voice still playful.

Rhiannon shuffled across the tiled floor, moving to let him get under the water, avoiding stepping on the drain. She squirted a handful of the gel onto her palm, and it began foam.
'I could wash you if you wanted,' she winked at him.
'I'm not sure that wouldnt lead to something else though.'

"Well, what would the use of a shower be if we didn't get clean?" he says, wiping the water from his eyes and stepping from under the mist so Rhiannon could have it back. "I think that, if we don't want to stay in here the rest of the day, it might be best to clean ourselves, then," he comments, looking at the bottles for the shampoo. "Oh, we don't have conditioner?" he asks.

Rhiannon pouted a little, pushing her bottom lip out but nodded;
'I guess you're right,' and she squished the foamy gel in her fingers, before washing herself, covering her front, and legs in fragrant foam. She giggled at Damien.
'Probably,' she pointed through the steamed up glass.
'But it's out there and in the cabinet.'

He chuckles again, and reaches to poke her nose. "Hey, no pouting. We will have plenty of opportunities for water games in the future," he reminds her.

Then, Damien sighs. "How you keep your hair looking good without conditioner, I do not know," he teases, after he snaps out of watching her.

He reaches to open the door, and hen steps out. He looks in the cabinet, shivering a little when his feet hit the cold floor. He hurriedly scans the contents of the cabinet, and then returns to the shower with conditioner. He grabs the shampoo, and pours some into the palm of his hand, and then begins working it into his hair.

She snapped playfully at the finger that poked her nose;
'I use a dog shampoo,' she giggled.
'Promotes a lovely glossy coat,' Rhiannon watched his retreating bottom as he went to get the conditioner, licking her lips when he returned. She reminded herself though that as they were engaged, it was safe to say that they had a long future in which she could jump him, and she needed to calm down right now.

Damien eyes her, watching the look in her eyes, before rinsing his hair. "I hope you are joking about the dog shampoo," he says, smiling a little and reaching for the conditioner. Once that is in his hair, helets it sit, and goes for the body wash. He starts to wash himself.

"Budge over a bit," he starts, in a teasing voice. "Water-hogger."

Morning After, pt 3

'Woof,' she teased, nudging him with her hip before moving away from the water jet again.
'Am not, just not used to sharing my showers..I dont do this with every guy I know,' Rhiannon chuckled.

"I would certainly hope not," Damien says, rinsing off, before going to try to tickle her for a second. "Or, I would have to . . . hmm . . . 'bust their heads,'" he adds, a grin on his face.

Rhiannon tried to keep a straight face at that 'statement' but she couldnt and laughed, bending a little till the fit subsided.
'Oh you would huh?' she managed, wiping her eyes.

"Oh, you don't think I could do it," Damien says, now trying ever harder to tickle her. "You don't think I could hold my own in a fight?" he is laughing, as well, as he says this. "I'll have you know, with a well-placed curse, I could bring a giant down, thank you!"

Rhiannon squealed, trying to dodge him, and not slip over at the same time.
'I give, I give!' she held her hands up, laughing.
'You are a big, strong, wonderful man and you can take anyone on,' she got in close and pressed against him, kissing him on the mouth so he wouldnt try and tickle her anymore.

Damien holds on to Rhi, and deepens the kiss a little. He rubs her water-slicked back before pulling away. "That's better," he says softly, giving her a wink.

Then, he tilts his head. "Let's get out of here. Maybe we can figure out whether we want to eat or not before I have to go home?"

Rhiannon chuckled, slipping from his grip and turning the water off before hopping out.
'If you want something to eat we can raid the kitchen,' she dripped on the floor as she rubbed her hair in a towel.
'Did you get through to your mothers?' she asked, wrapping her hair up turban-style before picking up her own towel to dry her body.

Damien steps out, and says, "Food sounds good. I am hungrier than usual today. . . ." he says, looking for his towel. When he finds it, he starts drying his body.

"And, I got through to them. That is why I have to get home soon," he says. "Apparently, they were worried." He frowns a moment as he ties the towel around his waist. "Mum Eirnae will calm Mum Lenore, though," he smiles, confident of that fact.

Rhiannon nodded, wrapping the towel around herself.
'Okay,' she simply said. She wouldnt raise a fuss about him leaving because their staying together relied on the approval of his parents - and she didnt want them to be angry enough to stop him seeing her again. She put away the toiletries, wriggling her damp wolven ears under the towel covering her hair.
'Do you think they will still allow my mother and me to move in with you guys now?'

Damien nods. "Yes, I think so," he says. "I mean, they wouldn't have offered if they didn't really mean it." He walks over to Rhi and puts his arms around her, squeezing her a moment before letting her go again, placing his scaled hands on her shoulders. "You are both still welcome."

'I thought they might be worried we would be at it like bunnies, even more so now. I don't know that any parent wants to think of their children doing that under their roof.'
Rhiannon slid the shower door shut, opening the bathroom one and walking out towards her room again.

Damien shrugs as he follows her out. "Well, Mum Lenore is the one that goes a little crazy over things like that," he admits. "But, Mum Eirnae can usually calm her down, or Nyoka. I think she ignores it all," he adds.

As much as he dislikes the idea, he starts to dress in the clothes he was wearing yesterday. Just his pants, and undershirt. He pulls his long fingers through is damp hair. "Besides, they would have to get used to the idea. When we get married and move out together, they certainly can't think we are going to be sitting around watching movies and reading all of the time." Especially if they want grandchildren, he thinks, a small smile on his face.

Rhiannon sat in her towel on her bed, watching Damien dress...which was a little depressing as he was very fine to her eyes unclothed. She shook herself of lustful thoughts, and went over to her chest of drawers, searching through them for a set she wanted to wear. She finally pulled out a lacy pair of white panties and matching bra, putting them both on after discarding her towel. She tiptoed over to Damien and wrapped her arms around him;
'You thinking that far ahead already?' she asked. She was still a little dazed at just being engaged, still thinking that someone was going to leap out and shout 'Fooled You!', and tell her that it was a big joke...or that she'd wake up and it was all a very vivid dream.

Damien chuckles. "I think parents think that far ahead," he says, putting his own arms around her. "Nani was telling me that her and Surion's parents were already thinking about grandchildren. And, might I point out, that they are not engaged yet," he leans forward and kisses Rhi's forehead.

Rhiannon kissed Damien tenderly on the cheek.
'I dont know that my mother is wanting to be a grandmother just yet,' she said, squeezing him tightly for a moment before releasing and looking for more clothes. She pulled out a white blouse, slipping it on and buttoning it up.
'Tinania and Surion are wanting to get married as well?'
Well last time she had spoken to Tinania she had mentioned that she was seeing Surion. And that had been a while ago so it was feasible they had become that serious.
'Both of them are teenagers though,' she said as she pulled on indigo blue jeans and slid the zip up, then buttoned them.
'Bit early for children isnt it?'

Damien shakes his head, stuffing his hands in his pockets and leaning back against the wall. "Well, I suppose that it isn't too early for a parent to prepare for grandchildren," he comments. "Maybe it comes into their heads when they hear their child is getting married, or they think that their child is getting married? Who knows what really goes on in their heads," he says, smiling again.

Morning After, pt. 4

'Well I know I like the stuff that leads to having a baby,' Rhiannon grinned at him whilst pulling a brush through her hair, brushing the fur on the back of her ears as well.
'But is that something you want?' she was curious as to his thoughts on that sort of thing.

Damien shrugs. "I have not really thought about it overly much," he admits. "I mean, I am thinking ahead, just in case it happens." He looks over at Rhi again. "Why, have you given it much thought?" he asks, studying her face.

Rhiannon walked over to Damien, and put her arms around his neck, stretching up and kissing.
'I actually honestly hadnt. What we have now, that was beyond my wildest hopes,' her tail lazily wagged, having popped out through the hole in the seat of her jeans.

"What, you didn't think we were in this for the long haul?" Damien teases, poking her nose. He then leans down and gives her a gentle kiss.

"And, since we are, I think we should go and try and make breakfast together," he chuckles. Emme has never let him anywhere near her stove, it should be interesting.

Rhiannon nudged him in return, poking her tongue out at him.
'No silly. I hoped we were. I just didnt know how to ask you about it,' she tugged on his arm.
'C'mon then,' she pulled him towards her bedroom door, then let go and went downstairs, heading for the kitchen.

"You should have just came out and asked," Damien chuckles, following her. "I think I am mature enough to handle a question like that."

When he reaches the bottom of the stairs, he feigns offense. "And, I am slightly offended that you would think that I wasn't," he says, sticking his hands in his pockets again.

Rhiannon nodded;
'I probably should have, but the last guy I was frank with about my feelings didnt feel the same way, so you must understand my not wanting the same thing to happen.' she sighed.
'I'm sorry,' she lowered her head, standing in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs, her ears drooped as well.

Damien blinks, and takes the few steps it takes to get closer to Rhi. "Mela, I was only joking," he says, reaching over to stroke her hair. "Though, honestly, darling, you had to know that your feelings were returned in my case," he says, softly, smiling a little.

Rhiannon nestled into him briefly;
'I knew you felt for me yes, but I didnt know if it was strong enough for that kind of conversation,' she admitted.
'Myself...' she bit on her lip, undecided as to whether to tell him, but as they were to spend their future together she would have to be honest.
'I've thought about being with you like this since when you had to leave to go to school. I was frightened you would meet someone else so much during the time when you were away.'

Damien smiles, but blinks, confused. "Now, Rhiannon," he says, in a mock-stern voice. "Where would I get the courage to even talk to someone? And, why would I even want to, in that manner, when I had you waiting at home for me?"

Rhiannon coiled a strand of his hair around a finger then released it;
'I don't know that you've realised it but you've gotten more outgoing since we started dating properly,' she chuckled at him.
'I love you, more everytime you say something sweet like that,' she tugged on his arm.
'Now then, food! Before my tummy starts complaining again.' and she walked off towards the kitchen once more, cutting through the living room to get to it.

Damien follows, chuckling and shaking his head, his hands in his pockets once more. "Yes, food is a wonderful idea," he mumbles, and lifts a hand to his flat stomach. It is grumbling a little, and he looks out a window. Yeah, it is later than he is used to eating.

"So, what did we have in mind for the meal?" he asks.

Rhiannon went over to the fridge, pulling open the door and peering in;
'Hmm well I dont know about you,' she said, as she rummaged about within.
'But I'm having a few slices of bacon,' her tail lifted gently.
'There's plenty of other stuff, fruit, and I think we have bread if you want toast,' she pointed to the bread box as she found a pan, and lit one of the hobs on the cooker top.

"Fruit and toast sounds fine," he says, peeking in the fridge. Assuming he can help himself, he grabs the cartonof strawberries, and puts it on the counter. Then, he walks over to the bread box, and opens it. "Do you want some bread," he asks, taking two slices for himself.

Rhiannon shook her head, using a skillet to move her bacon around before going back into the fridge and pouring herself a drink of juice. She pulled out two plates and put them on the sideboard, before moving back to the now sizzling bacon.
'So you don't eat any meat?' she asked, eyeing his breakfast choice.

Damien closes the bread box, and turns back to the strawberries. He takes the leafy stuff off of four of them, and then sticks the carton back in the fridge. He turns to Rhiannon, and smiles a little sheepishly. "I eat it rarely," he admits. "But, I have no problem with others eating it. I mean, I sat at the table for most of my life, watching Nyoka eat raw meat of all varieties. And, it isn't the same thing, but Mum Lenore can only drink blood. So, my stomach is pretty strong," he says, popping the bread in the toaster.

She flipped the now cooked bacon onto her plate and took a seat, sipping her drink before smiling at Damien;
'Well I dont think you have to worry too much on that account,' Rhiannon chuckled.
'I always make sure I'm full before I turn, so I hope that I wont go after raw meat. And I do prefer it cooked really anyways.'

Damien chuckles, and puts the fruit and toast on his own plate, before getting a cup of water. He sits across from Rhiannon. "Well, I wouldn't mind it if you ate it," he says. He lifts a strawberry to his mouth, and takes a bite. When he swallows the bite, he looks back at Rhi. "Anyway, don't feel you can't eat anything you want in front of me. I think that was the point I was trying to make," he says.

Rhiannon chewed a mouthful, swallowing before replying;
'Well, thanks.' she chuckled.
'So do you think it will be easy for you to tell your mothers about this new development?' she glanced at her ring finger then, smiling faintly.

"I think so," Damien says, and takes a bite from his toast. Once he is finished with that piece, he sets the toast down, and smiles. "I mean, even if they were the type, there is nothing they could do to prevent me from marrying you. Why do you ask? Do you think you are going to have a problem telling your mum?"

Rhiannon shook her head;
'No, I dont think so. I just worry about you is all. You have a strong family unit, and I'd hate to be the cause of any strife within it.' she smiled.
'I might overly worry, I think you've guessed that by now.'

"I think you are in this case," Damien says, leaning forward to grab her hand. "They love you, Rhiannon. And, all they every want for me in my life is for me to be happy. They see the smile you put in my eyes and on my face. That is all that they need to know."

Rhiannon blushed, squeezing his hand.
'You are just so sweet,' she popped a last bit of bacon in her mouth and swallowed it.
'And have such a lovely bum,' she giggled, letting go of his hand and standing to put her plate in the dishwasher.

Damien blushes a little, and shakes his head, finishing off the strawberries before moving on to the toast. "Well, I must admit, I am glad you that you approve of my bum," he says, chuckling a little. He takes a little time to finish his toast, befor standing and mimicing Rhiannon's move of putting the dish in the dishwasher. He looks out a window again, and sighs.

"I have to get home. . . ." he says, fowning.

Rhiannon nodded;
'Oh very much so,' she went over to him and slid a hand around his back, squeezing him gently.
'..okay,' she said, her face falling a little. Well she knew he had to go, but she always hated when they had to part, no matter how small a time it was.

Damien gives a little yelp, and blushes a little at the noise he made. Narrowing his eyes, he shakes his head a little. He then puts a hand on her cheek. "I promise we will see each other soon," he smiles. "Anyway, we have February to look forward to, right?"

'That's true,' she nodded, feeling a little better. It was silly she realised, to get so down every time he had to leave but she couldnt help it. She tugged him close, her hands resting on his back now.
'Well I'm going to give you a proper goodbye then,' Rhiannon looked right into his eyes then captured his mouth with hers, kissing him with passion, teasing and nibbling at his lips with her teeth.

Damien is about to say something, when his lips are attacked. He blinks, twice, and rapidly, before his eyes close.

He smiles when the kiss is over, and says. "I think that is a proper goodbye," in a low voice. putting his arms around her, he asks. "Walk me out?" He really doesn't want to leave, but he has to get home, and he has to start preparing for his first day of teaching tomorrow. . . .

Rhiannon nodded, brushing the tip of her nose against his.
'Sure.' she squeezed him, then unwrapped herself from him. Taking one of his hands she walked with him to her front door, opening it and looking down the path.
'Guess this is it for a while then,' she looked back at Damien.

"Oh, cheer up," Damien says, smiling again. "I'm not going anywhere, and you have the ring on your finger to prove it," he says, running his thumb over the emerald. "The time will fly, and we will see each other before you know it."

He lifts a hand up to stroke her hair. "I love you," he says, before stepping over the threshhold.

Rhiannon leaned in and nipped Damien on the earlobe;
'Cheeky,' she said as she pulled back.
'I can miss you as much as I like,' she giggled though and gave him one more hug.
'I love you more,' she whispered before letting him go.

Damien chuckles, trying to ignore the little tremor he felt in his stomach when she nipped his ear. After the hug, he says, "Alright, we love each other equally. Call me whenever you want," he says.

And with that, he starts down the path.

Rhiannon waved, before putting her left hand to her heart, her right touching the ring. She watched, waiting until Damien was out of even her sight before shutting the door.

Telling the Parents (I.E. Apologizing for a Momentarily Bad Memory)

Considering the mood he's anticipating his mums may be in when he gets home, Damien is amazingly cheerful. Try to touch the clouds, run around chasing after Harry, make the skies explode with a thousand lights cheerful. It's so hard to keep this kind of jubilation boxed up inside his heart. He wants to sing it out to the world, and let all know that the woman he adores feels the same, and wants to be his! Yet he has to settle for fast walking through the Haven's lands on the path towards home. He isn't even thinking of how things may look once he gets there, too great is his happiness.

"More tea, mela?" Eirnae offers as she holds out a steaming cup of one of her more inventive blends that Lenore has always enjoyed. If 'Bliss' tea wouldn't calm Lenore down, there wasn't much else that could. "He should be back any minute now, you know."

Lenore actually sends Eirnae a blistering look. "No, thank you," she says, her English accent a bit clipped in her fury.

Per his usual behavior, Erebus is on Lenore's shoulder, the wild nightmare sucking up the fury coming off in waves from Lenore as though it might be his last meal.

He flaps his wings a little, and lets out a frightful cry. Lenore cringes and turns her glaring eyes over at Erebus. "It would be nice if you buzzed off!" she snaps.

This only seems to make the nightmare shiver with pleasure, as he sucks in more of his meal.

"He had better bring his narrow bum home, and soon," she grumbles, crossing her arms over her chest. "Had us worrying all night, not so much as a thought about us. Me, cursing the walls, and thinking the worst. Thinking that he could have snatched him up," she rubs, absently, at her covered left forearm, looking at one of the scorch marks on the wall that is a result from one of her curses. Scowling more, she makes a note to repair all of the damage she did before Damien called.

Still on cloud nine, Damien finds his feet have taken him to the edge of the koi pond, where he pauses and looks down into the remarkably still waters to get a glimpse of himself. That's when pure panic rips through his haziness in a devasting rush, leaving him wide-eyed and staring. His hair is mussed, 'bed-head' is what Eirnae would call it when she ruffled it in his younger years, always right before she fetched a comb to set it right. His clothing is rumpled, as if declaring, 'I've been worn for longer than a day!' to the world. His outer tunic is missing, he notes as his hands pat down the front of his shirt, as if struck blind by realizing just how much trouble he's going to be in. Oh hells, and his cloak! He left that at Rhii's too, along with his cloakpin. To use magic so close to the house would alert too many residents of the manor to his presence to make it stealthy, and for a moment he actually considers going back to Rhiannon's to fetch his things.

No.. No, his mums have waited long enough. Might as well face them as he is without any premises getting in the way of the truth. 'Just the same,' he thinks as he gets out a small comb from one of his pants' pockets, 'I'd rather not have my hair like this while trying to look serious.'

Eirnae holds in a sigh, arching a brow at the nightmare's choice of addition to the room's atmosphere. The blasted thing was not helping to make Lenore's mood any better, perching on her shoulder like a raven eyeing a plump corpse with delight. She rises even as she brushes aside any form of comparision of Lenore to the image that tried to creep into her mind unbidden, and latches onto the nightmare's steely legs with a firm grip of her right hand. "Off with you," she says as she tugs the bird-like being up and throwing him into the air, knowing from past experience that the damned thing would be able to fly off without trouble. At least, she thinks she didn't chuck him too hard towards the hallway to prevent it.

"Aye, I'll agree that he'll have to be punished for his lack of thinking," she says softly as she moves to be in Lenore's field of vision, her hair escaping from her upswept french braid to frame her face with curvy tendrils, "But I recall that we agreed the last thing we wanted is to scare respect into him."

She faces her love's fury like a sailor on a pitching ship, with feet planted and ready to ride out the storm. "When he does get back, Lenore, I'll remind him that we worry because we love him. That him not calling us earlier hurt, and I assure you, melamin, it hurt us both." Her calm poker-face that she's been maintaining all night is ruined by the glitter of the deepfelt pain at both worrying over Damien and seeing Lenore this upset that shows in her currently bright green eyes.

Lenore watches as Erebus is taken from her shoulder, and tossed, unceremoniously, out of the room. She winces a little when the talons scratch at her shoulder, but it wasn't enough to draw blood, so she is not worried.

Drawing her robe back over her shoulders, she looks back at Eirnae. The red threatening to bleed deeper into the amber immediately disappears when she looks into the sea green eyes of the woman she loves.

Her pale lips frown and her eyebrows draw close together. Leaning over the table, she puts a scaled hand over Eirnae's. "I'm sorry," she starts, managing to maintain eye contact. "I was being selfish, and only thinking of how it might have effected me. It's just, thinking that my father might have gotten his spidery hands on our son made me a little crazy."

She squeezes Eirnae's hand, and offers a smile. "Maybe I will take some of that tea, after all." She moves her free hand out to slide the discarded cup that Eirnae offered her earlier toward her, and lifts it from it's saucer.

As ever, she was so happy when Eirnae helped her realize that she could, indeed, have her tea, even in this state. It just took a complicated potion to help her not become sick a few hours later. She takes a sip, and immediately feels herself steady a little.

"When he gets back, I will try my best to be rational, I promise," she adds.
