Looking to where Onion had pointed, Masa blinked a couple of times as she stared at the darknening sky. "How strange..." She certainly had a bad feeling about it, and didn't really want to head that way. The Blue Chocobo seemed reluctant too as he started clawing at the ground in one place as it watched the strange darkness cover the sky. If the Catacombs were that way though, she had no choice but to go there. "Well, lets get going!" She said, smiling, masking her lack of enthusiasm about heading to that forboding place.
Behebuncle sensed that she was uncomfortable, and gently pawed at her arm. "Don't worry, Onion Knight will protect us." He chuckled as he playfully teased his most trusted companion, who even in his current state, would indeed fight to protect Masa should the need arise.

Fire stayed close by to Zayn and Dune, as they wandered around now with the warning of a foreseen danger. "Yes let's hurry! I'm afraid to find out what will happen to us if we didn't..."
With that he stayed alert and ready to defend his team mates. Trying to walk as comfily and readily as possible, he tried not to cower. His eyes even glared at the emptiest spaces as they continued to walk.

Items bought, Zayn hurried back to the group. Catching Dune's warning, his eyes widened in shock, with confusion and fear mixed in just for good measure. "O-okay," he nodded to Dune and the others.
It was indeed growing darker, so Zayn quickened his stride as they followed after their newly-found guide. "Move as quickly as you need to, Miss Dune. We'll keep up!"
After all they'd been through so far, how could they not? Zayn was determined not to fail at this stage, after coming so far. Though just an artist and a thief, this quest was starting to give him ideas that he could be more, when necessary.

A barrier... damnation. The prow of the airship hitting it, he quickly pulled back, tossing the throtle in reverse before he found out just how strong it was. The action sent Lilith and Junkan sliding over the deck, as the ship titled up and to the left. That being too much, their stomachs finally fully rebelled, leaving a disgusting slick on the deck of the ship. All the while James grumbling something about deposits...
When the ship finally stopped, the man took an opportunity to stare at the ship, and the defense he knew had to be there, foiling his plan. No leads left. At least, none that he could discuss. His fist came crashing down on the panel with a thunderous thud, but doing no damage other than increasing his frustration.
"You, woman," James called to Quinn, ignoring Junkan and Lilith's struggle as they crawled back to the center of the ship. "You said it was an island, right? Large body of water? The sea to the north, and not just some lake I don't know about?"
Options were running thin, and with little information, he saw no other choice than some blind chase after some island that might not exist.

For once in her life, the rogue was satisfied by the understanding in which she perceived the group to have. That taken into consideration she readjusted the cowl of her hood and pressed on at a greater pace, her strides relatively long due to the height in which she was - that and the fact that by class she was unusually agile, it was a necessity.
"When we reach the edge of the catacombs I ask only this," She paused as she flung herself into another alleyway, evidently taking the quickest (although not the prettiest) route through Durem and towards the gates, "Keep you eyes up and focused on me, do not stare at your feet and for heaven's sake if you hear a scream do not look for where it came from." The sheer amount of urgency within her voice was impossible to ignore and although she fell silent at that point her body language made it ever more obvious.
The pounding of her feet muffled as every skilled thief's were, she briskly leapt through the gates of Durem and began to make the trek towards the darkened horizon which appeared to be rippling in the most peculiar manner as of yet, almost as though it might have been alive...
//Alright, you two need to post in the catacombs, we'll be on the edge of them and I'll make an opening post to set the scene - all your team mates should post there as well. 3nodding

~Masamune~ Looking to where Onion had pointed, Masa blinked a couple of times as she stared at the darknening sky. "How strange..." "Don't worry, Onion Knight will protect us." He chuckled as he playfully teased his most trusted companion, who even in his current state, would indeed fight to protect Masa should the need arise. It was indeed true, no matter how ill he might have been he would use his unusual skills to defeat anything that attempted to harm his new friends - it was his duty to protect those in need regardless of his own state and he would uphold such ideals, in ways he had no choice...a knight's code could not be ignored and he had no intentions of doing so anyway.
"Hurry." He murmured weakly, clutching at his helmet again as he kept his eyes focused on the darkening horizon, if they failed to get in now...there was nowhere else to go!
//Please now proceed to the Apple Orchard!

Quinn picked her self up from where she had tumbled during James' evasive manuevers and made a sickly face towards the pile of goo left by Junkan and Lilith. Raking a shakey hand through her crimson locks, she teetered back to the foredeck, "Yeah. Definetly the sea... lots of water. Unless there is some secret, giant lake too... I'm not going to ask if you have any friends, but dont you know anybody that might have information? Or maybe we can go back to the Inn and ask that floating light ball... she seemed to know more than she let on..."

James frowned, stepped away from the controls as the ship hovered, "I have no information that would help us... what one shot I had was stopped cold just now..." he told her, his voice hard and cold as he stepped around the puddle of vomit to the prow, "You take the controls, it's easy enough to figure out, and lead the way. Exhaust every option that rattles around in that empty head of yours."
Lilith was struggling, finally standing on shaking legs, though her half ogre charge was out for the count now, growling softly and hugging the deck. It moved slowly, clawing and climbing up Junkan, and nesting against the tetsubo he wore, her body plopping down between his shoulder blades. The familiar curled up, letting out a sigh as it closed its eyes and tried to ride this out.

Quinn squeeled in glee and took the controls. After a few nosedives and barrel rolls -- much to the chagrin of her comrades -- she figured out what she was doing and flew towards the Inn.
"I couldn't see anything from the Tower and I would have been able to if there was something to be seen, so I'm going to go to the Inn and ask the light ball. Hopefully she can help us."
((Move now to the main thread? Does the Inn have a thread? Must ask Epee...))

((Going to be slightly interruptive. Sorry. -_-; ))
Ourania had elected to stay behind while Quinn and James sought out leads, hoping that being in the spot where Fiore had been taken would increase her chances of finding the light Elysian again.
She had never been well-versed in seeking spells, and remembered that now as she drew up a circle very similar to those used in summoning directly onto the hardwood floor of the cafe. The pale Caller ignored the scandalized look that the woman behind the counter was shooting her, instead wiping the chaulk dust from her hands and standing to observe her work and make certain nothing was amiss.
Basape rested in a pile near her feet, unwilling to move from the spot where he'd been when Fiore was taken. It was as though the familiar thought that, if he did not move beyond that spot, the Elysian would come back and everything would be normal once more.
The summoner picked him up, despite his panicked yowl, and held him close to give the magick circle a final mark on its edge. She put him on her shoulder, making a small, aggravated noise when he refused to stay put, and began to concentrate.
The circle shimmered as though it were inscripted on water rather than wood, contracting and expanding violently. The summoner jumped back, stunned at the affect and wondering where she had erred in her calculations.
A fountain of light split the drawing's center and both familiar and woman were thrown back into a chair which promptly collapsed under the force. It was precisely the same light that had taken Fiore, the summoner was nearly certain, but it was hard to tell while her retina were screaming in pain at the brightness.
Then there was a small cough and Fiore was there, dusting off her exotic garb with one of her many hands and looking slightly annoyed.
"Fiore!" Ourania was up in an instant despite her aching bottom, but was beat to the punch by an ecstatic Basape who rushed and jumped on the Elysian like an eager and expectant puppy rather than a feline-isque moomba. "What happened? How did you get back? Are you alright?"
"I was taken to the Abyssal Pathways, the Highlord sent me back, and yes, fine." The small female's voice was slightly clipped as she tried to arrange herself back into a slightly more composed state.
"Erm..." The summoner tried to recall why the Abyssal Pathways was such a familiar sounding area, scanning mentally through the texts she had managed to memorize. "Uh..."
Fiore sighed, brushing a strand of hair that had come loose from the severe pins in her honey-colored hair while another hand tended to the contented Basape. "Sit down, Ourania, this is going to take a long while..."

The Shockwaves that erupted from the catacombs were unusually fierce - the grounds of Durem shook and as many a citizen fled for cover a single voice called out to the bardic Ieldi who had been carelessly left behind in the pursuit of the Crystal thief - gentle and otherwise baring no intent to harm it spoke but a few words in order to explain it's purpose for being there.
"It is time to return home." It advised softly, the world dissolving beneath the Ieldi's feet where it was soon to be replaced by the hospitable climates of the Turtle's Paradise Tavern - welcoming was the roaring fire and it was indeed a great distance from the inexplicable quakes, safe enough to relax at least.

With a rebel roar, Junkan was charging across the plains. Brooms, brooms, he had to get brooms, or kill everything in his way trying.
Lilith ws enjoying hte run, holding on tight, feeling the wind play over her fur. She let out what was a cross between a squeek and a laugh, bobbing her head through the winds.
Glop seemed to still be steamed over the fact that he lost his perch, and was claring evilly at Junkan's neck, as though somehow he could look through it, to Lilith, and smite her with the power of his superior Cavetoad mind.
Junkan didn't wait for gates. Gates would take time, with guards, and questions, and searches. No, he hit the wall from the east side, and using a grip and a running start to propell himself over the barrier, landing with a thump on the other side. And Lilith with a "WHEE", Glop merely croaking sickly.
Brooms. Brooms. Brooms.
A hardware store was needed. And like on the hunt for an elk, he stalked through the streets, tracking down the hardware store.

BROOMS! He saw a broom, in the hands of some poor little cafe worker. He was using a pushbroom, cleaning the outdoor area. He never knew what hit him.
Junkan plucked up Glop, whispering to him in Ogrish, before cocking his arm back, and tossing him like a fastball at the guys' face.
Glop latched on, hugging the face, and licking with his caustic tongue, calling out "FROG!" followed quickly by a curse, as the man did not in fact, become a bipedal frog.
Well, Junkan followed through, hopping over to him, shoving him over, and taking the broom. He held it high over his head, in a most Zelda like fashion as Glop climbed back up the ogre.
Victory!
And with that, the hunt continued. He needed more brooms, MORE!
