Nona had been all but out-of-the-way this entire time. When they asked what water pokemon, she showed her still out-of-the-ball Wooper, holding him close. Hey, no disturbance, no problem, right?
Nona had followed everyone as well, making it an effort to take in everything that was going on around her. Picking up the pokeball, she let it teleport to her PC. She was going to trade out one of her pokemon...but she was too late. Oh well.
She followed the two into the doorway, not making a sound...until...
"...Ah...ACHOOO!" she sneezed, getting her mucus all over the top of T.G.P.'s head. He didn't seem to mind, though.
((....God darn it all! You guys get all the work done when I'm not able to get on...Jeeze...))

((Sorry, I know I get on at weird times...))
Brayden slipped through the door as Kaya tugged on his sleeve, throat itching to cough, but he didn't dare at the moment, despite the dust tickling the back of his throat.
Until Nona sneezed, making him jump, inhaling deeply in a gasp, which, of course, only got more dust in his lungs. A horrible coughing fit insued, with a pitiful attempt at holding it in, lest they be heard.
Waving a hand in front of his face to try to clear the dust did little, as he caught his breath, tears escaping due to the agitation of his lungs.

As the door slid open, Sean coughed, blinded momentarily by the cloud of dust. However, that didn't stop him from seeing the trainers vanish behind the wall. "No!" he shouted, darting forward, maps flying as he dashed towards the closing stone slab. Only to hit solid stone. "Curses," he muttered under his breath, shaking his head. "I should have known better than to trust them..." he reached into his pocket, withdrawing a cellphone. He dialed a number, waited a moment, before speaking again. "Hey? Matts? Yo. We have a problem..."

Watching and waiting wasn't said to be one of his specialties for nothing. However, that didn't change the fact that it was rather dull work when all things were considered. However, Sylam managed, seated atop one of the higher of the broken pillars that lined the portico, and out of the way of the Aquas for the most part.
At least, until a rather large Aqua admin started running down the corridor that the three trainers and Sean had gone down.
"Hey Matts! What's the rush?" another Aqua questioned. The large man smirked, continuing his dash as he called over his shoulder.
"We've got a couple of rats snooping around!"
Yup that definitely didn't sound like something he could just watch by the wayside.
Making his way to the edge of the broken marble, Sylam hopped down, taking off down the side corridor after Matts, along to the side, weaving in between the columns to keep out of sight. He made it to the temple a few seconds after Matts, vanishing into the shadows of the room as he listened to the two admins discuss what had happened.
A few moments later, Shelly entered the room, demanding to know what was going on, and the story repeated itself.
Sylam sighed, shaking his head. It seemed the admins had figured out what was going on, and none of them were too happy about it. He was glad the three had escaped beyond the hidden doorway.
"However..." he murmured, casting a worried glance to the stone door once again, before backing back into the shadows of the temple.

Ahead of them, the pathway turned into a spiral staircase, leading downward, to a lower floor of the temple. From here, another layer of thick glass lined one of the walls, revealing the ocean beyond, a school of Huntail darting by. A passing Sharpedo and Carvanha stopped at the window, looking into the room that hadn't been seen by humans for hundreds of years.
This room, for the most part was bare, however, an intricate mosaic in the shape of a blue star lined the floor, the center of said pattern aligning with the center of the room, on which a pedestal sat, covered in dust, the marble faded with years of neglect.
However, atop the pedestal, a silver glow emanated. There was a strip of metal, long, thin, but jagged on one edge, as if broken. This was what was giving off the light that lit the room with a pale glow.
Upon entrance to the room, the light pulsed, almost as if it was alive, creating a slight shift in the light, but it soon faded back to normal.

((I won't be on for too long tonight. Have to finish up some studying for exams.))
The room was beautiful, despite the layer of dust that almost constantly made his nose tickle. Brayden stepped into the room, smiling faintly, until he saw the glass wall with the ocean beyond, then he scooted a bit towards the far wall that was closed off, memories flashing back for a moment before he shook them from his mind.
Brayden cast a worried glance to the sword. Something about it didn't seem right to him, but perhaps that was just his imagination. After all, with all the nasty stories of what the sword was capable of, he wasn't 100% sure what it could actually due. So his mind was free to think the worst, most of which probably wasn't true. However, the wince Kaya made a short while back in the corridor, he was pretty sure that wasn't his imagination at work, and that caused a pang of worry in the back of his mind.
"You sure you'll be alright?" he asked worridly, as Kaya picked up the fragment.

{{I'm also in the midst of a painting project, so I'll be up for a while, but most likely in and out while I look up reference pictures. I'm totally doing a dorky project full of visual puns because our professor said we could do anything, as long as its a series of paintings. He'll learn to regret those words. wink *currently turning the Eiffel Tower into McDonalds* =P French fries, anyone? Aaand, Mystik was on today, but she didn't post anything in the leaders forum, and she hasn't answered my pms about the plot, so I guess I'm still winging it for now on the plot, making stuff up as I go. ^^" Hope this isn't too boring for you guys. >,<}} Sylam flipped the switch hidden behind the statue of Rapidash that was located in the central complex of the temple. Thankfully, this area was, for the most part, untouched by the Aquas, although Sylam had to cast a sad glance to the fast food wrappers that now littered the long-stagnant water of the fountain.
"And it used to be so beautiful here..." he murmured regretfully. Shaking his head, he vanished down the hidden pathway that was revealed, as the marble Rapidash, its rider long gone, although Sylam thought he saw the glimpse of a chunk of the statue's torso a few yards away.
Most likely used for the Aquas as a bench during their lunch break, he thought bitterly. Sylam knew that it definitely was not what the hero, who's likeness was carved in the cold marble, deserved be done with his monument, shaking his head once again as he continued down the pitch black corridor as the statue moved back in place behind him with a resolute slam.
"I'll be sure that history doesn't repeat itself," he promised, however, whether it was to the broken monument or himself, it was unclear. Neither answered anyway.
Although it was pitch black, Sylam traversed the passageways flawlessly, their twists and turns committed to memory after all these years in Snowpoint. He knew when the pathway split which direction to take, as well as when to duck below lower panels of carved stone, and when to step lightly over crumbling wooden bridges.
So it was an easy matter locating the Chamber of the Midnight Star.
The familiar mosaic met his eyes as he slid open the passageway, eyes downcast in thought. However, meeting the tiles, he looked up, brushing a few Spinarak webs from his hair (not that it was noticeable with the whole having white hair thing anyway...), and smiling as he saw the trainers. He was glad they had made it this far without any trouble.
However, his smile froze as he saw Kaya place the sword fragment in his pack, "No..." he whispered, shaking his head as he dashed forward.
However, it was too late. He could feel it, he could feel the sword laughing at him, apparently recognizing Sylam, and more than willing to gloat at its victory. He could feel the laughter echoing in his head...
The sword fragment suddenly flashed with a brilliant light, blinding all in the room. Sylam shielded his eyes, however, a shout left his lips as the light flared even brighter.
"No! Don't!"

The blade chuckled to itself, although none of the trainers could hear its mirth. Kaya perhaps might have felt it, his hands still on the blade fragment, but there might have been bigger things to worry about at the moment.
Like why the room was suddenly filled with people...
And why sunlight was flickering through the glass wall rather than the glimmer off of fish scales, and the marble and mosaic of the place looked almost new.
Laughter floated from many of the people gathered around a central figure, one who had crimson hair, cropped short. He smiled kindly, nodding to someone's question, setting his pack down on the ground in order to catch the flying bundle of energy as a child flew forward to clamp onto him in a hug.
"-But I'll be sure to be back soon," he was saying to the child, who looked up, slightly misty-eyed, but nodding.
"Bring lots of stories with you next time, Master Quess!" another child piped up. Several others shouted their agreement.
"Alright, alright, I will," the elder of them all smiled, ruffling one child's hair before whistling, "Ketorio! Time to move out if we're to make it to the labyrinth before nightfall!" An answering whinny was heard, as a Rapidash trotted to catch up to Quess, who left through a doorway farther away from the group of trainers. The crowds surrounding Quess dispersed, talking amongst themselves of this month's stories, of what their plans were for the rest of the afternoon, and other assorted things.
One voice spoke up next to the group, "I don't recognize you from around here..." a small child looked up to the three trainers curiously.
He had black hair, tipped in white, which framed his young face in an almost careless style. His eyes portrayed a quiet intelligence, though, a brilliant aqua color that seemed to almost change like the tides of the ocean from a pale blue to a darker green.
"Its strange to see outsiders this time of year, since there's no festival now," he continued, smiling faintly, "What brings you to Lilygrove?"

Brayden looked around the room, more than a bit disoriented at the sudden shift, and a bit unnerved by the flash from the sword. Having no clue what was going on, he stared curiously at the boy that addressed them.
"We're not really sure why we're here," he murmured, not really able to come up with anything, when he wasn't positive as to where 'here' was.
Although he felt a bit better at not having millions of gallons of sea water staring him down through the glass windows, he couldn't help but wonder what exactly had happened to make the ocean vanish. That wasn't really normal, now, was it? And there was also the fact that the temple complex seemed to be full of people, not Aquas, but normal people, meandering around like they'd been there all along.
Which Brayden had the sinking suspicion they had been, and it was the trainers who had appeared suddenly, not the other way around.
The name 'Lilygrove' also slightly confused him. He didn't think the child would botch the name of the town from which he hailed from, so that also further confused Braden. What exactly had happened?

"Of course... where else would you be?" the child laughed, shaking his head, "Oh, you must have just got in town," he guessed, nodding. "Well, that won't do if you don't know anything about Lilygrove. Although we're a pretty small town now, we're sure it will grow, so hopefully it will grow on you too!" "You just missed the Guardian's return, though," he smiled faintly, "Master Quess always has some great stories from the labyrinth. That's why everyone gathers when he comes back in town to get a few supplies before heading out again." "Oh, you might not know about the labyrinth, huh? Well, its basically a big maze, hence the name we call it. It protects those in Lilygrove from anyone meaning harm," he explained with a nod, "Although its pretty far away, otherwise I'd show it to you. You have to go west from town, past another village, Fortree, then head south. There's a huuuuuge area that's all thick hedges and tough paths. Most travelers avoid it, just for its difficulty, but those who do go through it are said to be wiser." "Quess guards that area from intruders. The forest itself can tell if someone means Fortree or Lilygrove harm, and so its Pokemon protect it. It can get deadly if the forest gets angry with you," he explained, "But if you aren't planning on doing anything bad, the Pokemon will guide you through! Its really cool!" "Oh, wait, what am I babbling about, of course you know of the forest," the child shook his head with another grin, "After all, that's the only way to get o Lilygrove, other than by ship, but I haven't seen any in the docks today, so you'd have had to come through the forest. You probably know more about it than I do," he laughed, "Since I haven't even been through it yet." "But anyway, if you'd like, I can show you around. There really isn't much else to do today, so I can be your guide," he smiled. "Everyone's been kind of on edge lately, with the approaching armies, so I'm not sure if anyone else would be willing to show you much. Not the best time to sightsee, I must admit, but you must be some thrill seekers or something to come now. Valsindar's army is prepared to attack at nightfall."
