James's eyes were brought towards the little knight as his voice seemed to get much bigger than his tiny lungs should have managed. Magical Voice spell, he thought, remembering how quite a few people used that effect for speeches and to get attention.
He must have at least something half way important to say. The man turned towards him, his shoulders square, his legs stright, hands and arms at his sides. His chip was up, and just barely could someone see his chin and his lips beneath the dragon helm. There was no smirk there, no frown, nothing, blank, no expression. He stood there, without a word, waiting for the little creature to get done with his announcement.
.... Meanwhile....
Junkan paused his eating for just a moment, as a strange voice boomed at him. He didn't recognize it, but it was put out of his mind in a moment as he started crunching on the meat and bones once more, giving a little snarl as he did at the interruption of his eating.
He was still sitting just outside the doorway to the temple, nothing had phased him, the robbery, the airship, the forest growing, at least not yet. Maybe he hadn't noticed?

From the general safety of the doorframe, Quinn watched the great ship's ascent, digging futily in her belt pouch for a bit of candy to soothe her frazzled nerves. Comming up empty handed, she gripped the doorframe in frustration as the vessle broke free from its constraints and sped away towards Durem.
A low growl emmanated from her throat as she watched it go, thinking there must have something she could have done to prevent the situation, but knowing in her heart that there wasn't.
Leaning against the doorframe, she sighed exhasperatedly, opening her mouth to express her upset, when a voice from outside boomed for attention. Stepping hesitantly from the Hall, Quinn looked around for the source of the outburst, finding it in a funny little man flapping about for attention.

From his place in Mirror's grasp, Zayn turned his head to see who was bellowing about making an announcement. He perked up - were they going to give chase? It would be fun to quest again...
"Mirror, can you take us back to the balcony?" he asked. Better to not be down on the ground when everything happened.

"Of course, Zayn." Mirror said with a nod, his voice slightly cracked by the recent events. With a slight tug on an invisible string in his mind, the Al Sylian moved back to the balcony and set down his friend, landing softly behind him.

Masa nodded towards Onion Knight and then held him up a little so more people could see him. She was suprised by how assertive his voice became as he spoke. Her gaze drifted over her shoulder towards the departing airship. A part of her still couldn't get her head around what was happening.

Fire found his way to the balcony listening quietly to the Onion Knight's voice bellowing throughout the area. Leaning on the wall, feelings of confusion and bewilderment still lingered within him. It seemed so much has happened, far too quickly for him anyhow. Something must have happened with all this commotion and chaos. Yet, he was terribly unaware of what it was still... However, whatever it was, could not be taken lightly. So there he was, listening intently to every word that would come.

It was with bleary eyes that Vashtya and Shakti showed up on the temple's doorstep--after having returned home, it had been a hectic few days, and then, early this morning, Shakti had decided that she absolutely MUST return to the crystal temple--for what, she'd yet to have educated Vash. But, since he had found that strange letter the last time he'd visited, a yawning, groggy Vashtya had reluctantly agreed (after a few doses of Shakti's own brand of shock therapy, that is).
As they picked their way through the woodlands surrounding the shimmering temple, Vashtya muttered something about ungrateful hydras, which prompted the purple creature to purr loudly, as if pleased with herself for breaking through the half-elf's usually cheerfully uncaring facade.
Finally, staring up at the gargantuan structure, Vash was overcome anew by the sense of awe it prompted--this was his second visit now, and the imposing sight still took his breath away.
As if understanding what Vash felt, Shakti butted her head up against his jaw, almost as though she were expressing a similar sentiment. Her tail lashed to and fro as she stared up at the building through which she'd entered this plane--something was up, and she was determined that they wouldn't miss it.
With a small sigh, Vash made his way up to the main entryway, wondering if there'd be anyone else lurking about, this time.

Sika slowly walked upto the Temple steps, holding Elazu in her arms. She looked down at Elazu curiously as she heard a loud voice.
Elazu returned this look and gazed up at the temple. He felt like something was amiss, something was terribly wrong, but he didnt understand this feeling to him it was just an odd poke at the back of his mind.
The two had made their way toward the temple because of this odd feeling Elazu had.
Sika sucked in a breath of air then made her way up the stairs, holding Elazu close, as if she may drop him. But on her way up she caught sight of Vash and Shakti making their way up the stairs as well. Calling out she hurried her pace to catch up to them, she deffiantly didn't want to go in on her own..

"Oh! It broke free.. what a marvelous dramatic scene!" Odilen sighed, pulling out the tattered napkin to scribble a few more notes down. Annoyed by this, and irritated still more by the airship's escape, BoCo began bouncing up and down on her head, letting out a series of angry squawks. "WARK! WARK! WARK!"
"Shush," Odilen ordered, reaching up one hand to try and comfort him, then peering over the edge of the balcony as the Onion Knight called for attention. The story would continue, then - how wonderful that she had come and could chronicle it!
BoCo let out a last muffled "WARK!" before snorting and settling down, still bristling at the now airship-free sky.

//*Gigglesnorts at Boco*
Satisfied that he had received the attention of the majority of those within the temple, he shuffled in Masa's grasp to make himself more comfortable and finally removed his helm so that people could se his face (his father had always said people trusted you more if you showed your face).
"As you know, a terrible event has befallen us at the hands of the Baroness Regalia." He began, clutching his tiny gloved hands around his minature helmet as he seemed to take a few moments to surpress the rage that threatened to burst forth from within the depths of his chest, "It seems that she has taken a crystal, a very young one at that and therefore there is much more at stake than if she had stolen a more mature crystal."
"It is guaranteed that the young treasure will fade away without the tender care of the Prime Crystal." He grimaced as he surveyed his audience nad promptly motioned to the door with his tiny hand (promptly dropping his helmet onto the floor with a small clang), "Retrieving it is impossible alone - therefore it is my duty on behalf of those within this forest, to request that you retrieve the crystal as quickly as possible." He continued, glancing around once more at the guests, some of which seemed uncomfortable at the thought of an adventure.
"This task will not be easy, the Baroness is dangerous and many sources are unable to say exactly where she resides. Your job will be to find her, if you accept this challenge you will be rewarded or so I would assume..." He finished, allowing the news to sing in as he gazed around the room for the third time, taking note that a number of guests already seemed to have vanished, most peculiar...Brief Note 1. Please remember your groups for this quest, they should still be noted on the front page.
2. During this quest there will be NPCs that will teach you PrC classes (restricted), if you wish to find one PM me and it will be arranged.
3. In future I will not be answering: "What if I did this...?" Questions, I will simply allow you to do them and then respond with the resulting event, if this is death then so be it.
4. Team work is extremely important here, failing to work as a team may result in missing valuable clues.

"Adventure! Marvelous!" Odilen was thrilled - she really had stumbled on a wonderful quest, a fabulous tale... a quest to return a mystic crystal holding the essence of a summoned beast of old... ooh, good wording, must remember that for the prologue later! She scribbled a few more marks on the napkin, frowning at it as it started to fray at the edges, having finally had its fill of ink.
BoCo shifted from foot to foot, anxious, then finally bent down, took a hank of pale hair in his beak, and YANKED.
"OW! Eeesh..." Odilen reached up and grabbed for the tiny chocobo, prying her hair out of his grasp. "Okay, okay, fine, you're mad, I get it, don't take it out on me..." she huffed, tucking the bedraggled note-napkin away for good this time. "Let's go find Quin and the others. I said I would be their bard, didn't I? And so I shall!" She turned and went to go downstairs, with BoCo shifting back and forth, bouncing extra hard every other turn in demanding encouragement.

Merrick tore his gaze away from the massive magic going on before him to look at Niva. "Cut it loose?" he sputtered incredulously. "My lady, are you mad? Not only would we be aiding horrible thieves, which would more than likely get us killed by the guardian that haunts this very temple, but the plants would tear us apart before we even got near enough to cut it loose!"
He glued his eyes once more to the spectacle of the struggling airship. "No, no...the wisest thing to do is to remain here, and hope that whoever is controlling these vines wins."
The nobleman stamped his foot in anger as the airship broke free, then turned to listen to what the tiny...was that a doll, or a person? Whatever it was, it had quite a voice, and quite an interesting lot of things to say. Once it was finished, Merrick put his hand up like a school child, hoping for the teacher's attention.
"And, erm, how exactly are we supposed to do this?" Merrick asked. "I'm as willing to help out as the next man - the last thing I want is to see this crystal...disappear, as it were. But she's in an airship...in a few hours she could be in a place that would take us days, even weeks to travel to by other means. Leaving off how dangerous it would be to find her...do we even have any hint of where she might be going? Or shall we all just take off in different directions, willy-nilly, and hope whoever runs into her first doesn't get killed?"

Mirror licked his lips as the Onion's Knights clear voice resounded within the temple walls. The Al Sylian furrowed a brow, Adventure? He thought, a mix of worry and excitement building up in his chest as a result of the Druid's powerful words. Certainly he had a way of frasing things and Mirror was almost about to jump out the window and venture by himself. No...We need numbers. He decided. Glancing over to Zayn, Mirror inclined his head a bit to study his companion's face, his orange tufts falling slightly to dangle near his cheeks.
"Zayn, we should find Fire and Ky, perhaps one more, to be in our group. With numbers we should have strength to find this traitor." Mirror said softly, moving his arms behind his back and clasping his hands tightly together to release sharp twangs of anger that built up within his body at the thought of the Baroness. "What do you say?"

Rodger's eyes shifted up to the man who had given him the drink. Seemed nice enough and now, he wanted to help. He swallowed a bit, stuffing his items away in his pockets, as he dusted off.
Slowly he pushed himself up so he was standing, and sauntered slowly, avoiding most of the crowd, towards Merrick, he stood just behind the man, clearing his throat softly to get his attention, the whole time his eyes were cast downwards towards the tiles between his feet, rather than up at the man.

Niva let out a sigh of relief, watching the ship make it's break away. Despite what Merrick thought, well, she thought it was the right thing. She'd much rather take on this 'guardian' that she could of at least have had a chance of handling, and some vines, that the caster probably wouldnt' even know she was coming up on, than an airship. At least she would have had a chance against them, and no chance if an airship decided to rain death from the heavens.
Silently she listened to a little man, not much getting through to her, other than the mention of rewards, and the little title of Baroness. The name didnt' ring any bells, but the title did. They always had a good secret or two, perhaps some mages on retainer. A chance to learn and grow, perhaps even 'liberate' some magical books and artifacts.
And whatever this reward was. The temple here, well, it didnt' seem to have a stockpile of gold or jewels around. Maybe it did. She hoped whatever it was though, would be more magical in nature, something she could learn from.
Niva smiled warmly, as she watched this man approach Merrick, trying to get his attention. He had that look, just like a little brother or soemthing, trying to tell the grownups about something important, she flashed him a smile, or tried to, and put an arm around his shoulder. "Come on, you can speak up to us, don't worry," she whispered softly to him.
