Rivera listened politely and tenetively to what Lorelai was saying. It was the usual muddle about time, but it would take even more time to elucidate the concept fully. She had no doubt that Lorie would quickly grasp the facts and put it all together at the speed of light but she wasn't exactly willing to go into details about her past so much. It seemed like Lorie had somehow traveled too far back in time and her timeframe measurements were very far off. Then again, so were her own. Technically, she was about two millenia old or so. But since she had been frozen in time and space in a stone crypt, the rule didn't apply to her. She was still only about 14 or 15 years old. It was like breaking the time ruler an taping it back on in a different spot. She wasn't about to say that now. There were other things on her mind.
"You must be from the future then... very far in the future..."

Tomoro froze as soon as he said those words, her entire body ceasing to move, her eyes slowly examining his body, gradually reaching up to his eyes. Her mouth, hanging open, slowly closed, and she pressed her lips together slowly, refusing the urge to say something rude; it wouldn't look good on her part. After letting out a small huff of breath, she pulled the books off of the chair and clung onto them tighter than before, almost in shock by what he had said. Shifting her gaze from his blue eyes, she then turned around, her back facing his. "You might... want to conceal that tail a bit more in the future." Smirking behind his back, she sure had seen that outline; how could she not? It wasn't as if he were doing a good job of hiding it. She presumed it was merely pressed against his skin.. and the aura around him indicated that he wasn't human in the least. But what... WAS he?
"I don't know what, or who you are... but I don't want... you to get near me." She said, turning her head to the side, bangs concealing her eye. A small smirk could be seen on her delicate pink lips, her hair intertwined with her sweater, falling down along her back and onto her short black skirt.

"Aww..." he murmured, frowning. "And here I was going to ask you to that ball in that manor outside the school too." He ran a hand through his hair, and brushed it to one side, careful to hide what the hair did as he did so, and he did quite a good job at it as well. Like everyone, he had secrets. Hundreds of thousands of them. In truth, she was interesting, and he would have appraciated learning about her. Curiosity killed the cat. Or in his case, hurt the incubus. But that didn't matter. Learning people and their secrets were never really boring. Especially like this one. Destiny awaits you... Destruction is afoot... Join the Zephyr Knights Army!

Lorelai shook her head, waving a finger at Rivera. "Actually, you're dead wrong," she said, grinning. "By my calculations, I'm originally from several hundred billion years in the past." She leaned forward, looking her new assistant in the face. "Have you ever heard about the planet Vulcan? It's regarded largely as a legend nowadays by all except some crazy astrologers who believe it must be floating out there somewhere to fill in the extra two zodiac signs," she said, spinning back and forth idly in her chair.
"The truth is, it did exist, but that was quite a long time ago. I believe you now know the planet Vulcan as 'the asteroid belt.' Through a series of unfortunate circumstances and temporal-spatial anomalies that I am not currently interested in elaborating upon, I ended up warping here mistakenly after escaping from the war between my planet and the native Martians that ended in the destruction of my homeworld."

Rivera was very thoroughly confused. Her perception of time was so skewed that she had no idea what really happened. If Atlantis really sank near 9 BC and the decendents still remained after 800 AD and stayed until the fall of King Arthur, they must've been the ones to preserve her body in perfection... so perhaps when their magic finally died out, she was able to come back to life again... unless... that wasn't the case at all. Lorie had said something about Martians and Vulcans and a war... The asteroid belt wasn't entirely made up of a single planet, unless if there was a bi-orbitary somewhere... or if any of Vulcan's moons had been closer to its own size than the moons of other planets, on ratio, that is. There were other sources she had read from and believed only after research on the remains of the planetary bodies themselves and close analysis of their stellar compositions. It led her to believe that there was a relation for the migration of all survivors after a disaster.
"So you're saying... our ancestors blew each other up?" Rivera inquired after a long moment of thought.

Lorelai blinked several times at this assertion, not having thought of such a thing herself until just that moment. According to all the legends she had read, the people of Atlantis were markedly different from the other humans on the planet Earth, and it seemed quite unlikely that a civilization such as theirs could have evolved as an offshoot of any existing Earth-based ancestry of humans - after all, during the time Atlantis flourished, mankind was still barely distinguishable from the apes they had evolved from in the first place. Also, it wasn't entirely inconceivable that refugees from the war could have ended up shipwrecked on Earth - it was actually very probable, given that the war was being fought over Earth's resources in the first place. How Rivera was able to so quickly put together that the native Martians were the distant ancestors of her people, though, was still rather puzzling.
"Interesting theory," Lorelai said finally after thinking this all over for several minutes. "If we're to follow up on that line of logic, that should mean that some of my people quite likely ended up here as well." She paused, thinking again for a few moments before nodding and speaking up again. "And to draw a similar thread between our two peoples, it would seem likely that my descendants were likely the progenitors of another 'ancient mythical civilization,'" she said, using the bunny ears quotation marks gesture. "Perhaps Shambhala or Shangri-La, judging by the frequency with which I've seen references to those places popping up in my studies of the history of the peoples and cultures of this planet. This is certainly an interesting development..." She chuckled to herself for a moment, flashing an inscrutable grin at Rivera. "So I suppose this makes us ancient enemies?"

Rivera simply waved the suggestion off. "Let our thousand-fold great grandparents fight that war. It's not our place to compete in a conflict that's been dead for both of us. I don't wake up everyday with a desire to bloody you up, so I won't." Usagihana bounded onto the table and jumped into Rivera's lap. She stroked the strange robot, which seemed to have turned into a more docile creature, curled up and purring like a cat, the long leonic tail swishing back and forth with the whizzing of mechanical functions.
"Besides, how are we supposed to get along in the same club if we try to kill each other?" Usagihana snuggled closer. A regular person would get very uncomfortable with the numerous sharp metal points on the robot so close to them, but Rivera didn't mind it. She couldn't percept pain very easily or very often. The few times she did was several minutes after she was severely wounded or when she was just ill.

"Of course, of course," Lorelai said, waving a hand. "I just find it rather amusing that the two of us should happen to meet like this purely by happenstance. As a scientist, I of course do not believe in fate or destiny, but at times like these even I have to stop and wonder for at least a moment or two." She chuckled a little again, smiling at Usagihana as she leapt up into Rivera's arms.
"Of course, that's not to say that there isn't a solid, scientifically sound reason for both of us having ended up in this place and time simultaneously," she said, crossing her arms and nodding. "And if it's in any way related to the temporal conjunction I'm thinking of, there just might be some hope yet of my return."

Usagihana uncurled and looked up, looking more like a cat than every in the way she perched on Rivera's lap. "Well... there has been some research done concerning it and your all too coincidental arrival. Rivera and I have been working on the calculations for a long time... and it's come to the conclusion that there's a strong connection between this meeting and the number Phi..." Rivera stroked her android fondly, enjoying the little vibrations given off in a steady purr.
"Because the most stable of all numbers is the number three and the ratio for the golden triangle, called Phi, gives one of the most stable forms of the different onsets on a temporal spatial plane... however, that is only if the chanced meeting occurs on a plane. If the plane was not a plane, but a bent surface, the number Phi would have to be converted to the correct form by non-euclidian trigonometry according to the degree of the bend..." Rivera sighed, "I'm ranting, aren't I? It's just a concept that I managed to find... not all that important. But there is a specific equation for fate's decision and I'm trying to find it. Our coincidence was by literally a 'twist of fate' where the glitching of the temporal-spatial alliance, of the chaos and the order continuum was wavered, causing fate to throw off the equation acutely in the favor of attractive chance..."
Usagihana nodded. "It's all a big project, which in on the line for publishing... but there's so much speculation that we have to find a specific fact before we can register it for publication. A missing chapter, that is." She bounded onto the table, her ears straight up and her tail swishing back and forth vigourously. "Rivera-san... My global seeking system tells me that Kai is heading through the door... you think he can pass the securities okay?"
"Pass what securities?" A nearly seven feet tall, lithe young man of 16 or so entered the room, a silvery aural shield flaring around him. His hair was silver-white and his eyes were both blue and slit, like a dragon's. The ghostly fair skin and the grace in which he carried himself marked him distinctly as an Atlantean, even more so than Rivera. He was nearly pure blooded while she was only half. "You must be Lorelai..." He streatched out his hand and smiled at Lorie, the hard muscles on his body didn't really bulge, but gave him a shape and form that was more like water than like steel, much like Rivera. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Kai'sekillre, call me Kai..."
"Hey Kai." Usagihana greeted him with an enthusiastic chirp. Rivera looked up at him with a slight smile and bowed to him courteously.
"How was your seminar? Did it go well?" She inquired politely. But Only Kai knew that tone... she was teasing him, despite her soft and gentle expression.
"It went quite well, after the manipulation point on the parallel continuums, I got through it smoothly." He remarked thoughtfully. His voice was deep an rich, with a regality that didn't match his cool, modern-black leather biker looks at all.

Tomoro stopped dead in her tracks, her books unconciously falling to the ground. What a bad move for someone like her, looking clumsy. What on Earth was she doing...? She had Seth. Well, he was probably off with another girl, but that didn't matter now... swiveling around, a slight pink hue upon her cheeks, Tomoro brushed her hair behind her ears, looking away, obviously uncomfortable. "Oh.." she said quietly, almost whispering those words. "Is that... so?" This man certainly was full of surprises... he kept her guessing, unlike most men. Although he did have that strange aura around him, it sort of drew Tomoro near him.. and she couldn't help it. Taking a short breath and straightening her posture, she looked him in the eye, a small smirk upon her face. "I humbly accept your offer."
Bowing lightly, she turned around and began picking up her books, stacking one on top of another and putting them onto the desk until they were all cleaned up. What a mess it was... she should have done that. In any case, it was all clear now, and there wasn't really anything else to say...

"Interesting..." Lorelai said, nodding at Rivera's explanation. "I've never delved into the numbers concerning a scientific theory behind the machinations of fate and destiny before." She pulled out a pad of paper, jotting down a few notes as she muttered incomprehensibly to herself, tucking the pad away into her jumpsuit a few moments later. "That may actually throw a bit of a wrench into the temporal-spatial theories by which I've been operating for these past few years, but I think it's more likely just another piece of the same puzzle."
It seemed as if Lorelai wanted to say more about this, but she was momentarily distracted by the sudden arrival of Kai. She grinned inscrutably as he entered, nodding cheerfully and giving a short wave, pen still in hand. "Kai, I presume!" she announced happily, extending her hand to shake. "And yes, I would be Lorelai. I've been having quite the intriguing conversation with your friend Rivera here. I'm honored to have two minds as bright as yours on the project."

Slowly making her way up to the lab doors she cautiously peeked inside. She sighed in relief when there appeared to be no one inside, or at least no one that she noticed. She liked being in a place like this, it may have seemed to strange to other people but to Seira who had spent most of her life at her parents’ lab it was a second home; it always made her feel at ease. This particular facility had quite the assortment of equipment and an even more interesting assortment of materials as well she thought to herself as she walked around the lab, as she stopped to stare at a large glass container with three-eyed toad inside. This school certainly was interesting.
Then something caught her eye. In a darkened corner of the room there was a tiny glint of silver. Upon closer examination she found there to be a rather large pile of “junk.” Among the pile was a mess of wires, various computer part, scraps of metal, as well as a assortment of many other materials... it was more than likely that they where the leftovers from previous experiments that was just waiting to be thrown out. What a waste… why are people so careless? ...I wonder… what if...She sat there silently gently running her hand over the top of a cracked computer monitor. A deep-seeded conversation passed between the two, but not a word was heard as no words could be spoken by either yet still a quiet voice was heard from inside.

"I am honored by your presence as well." Kai smiled warmly at her. "There has been a small problem concerning Rivera here... " He took her hand and began to lead her away. "Rivera, you're due for a check up. If you miss it this time, you'll be in serious danger... Excuse us please." He was smiling still as he dragged Rivera out of the room.
"G-good-bye!" Rivera called out behind her. Usagihana snorted and half laughed as they left. There were little snatches of arguments heard as they left.

(( previous post)) Razzer entered the Labs and was immediately greeted by Fudy. Razzer produced the note from the doctor and handed it to the necromancer, who took it and looked it over. "Er, Dr. Masaharu gave this to me to give to you." Razzer said, Fudy just waved his hand. "He says that you were bitten by a Pelzkugel. But yet you're here." Fudy said. Why does everyone keep saying that? Razzer asked himself. "Dr. Masaharu seems to think that you could possibly be immune to poison, and he's asked me to confirm this theory." Razzer jumped. "WHAT?!" he asked loudly. Fudy just laughed. "It'll be simple. I'll just brew some poisons and give 'em to you. If nothing happens, you're either immune or I suck at making poison - I doubt the latter will ever be true. If something does happen... well..." Razzer sighed. "I don't have a choice, do I?" he asked. "Not one bit." Fudy replied cheerfully. "So, go sit over there and I'll whip up a couple quick poisons." the necromancer hurried off and left Razzer alone. A few minutes later Fudy returned with three vials of bubbling and frothing stuff. He handed the vials to Razzer. "Drink up." he said, adjusting his glasses. Razzer took a deep breath and downed the first vial. Nearly choking, he coughed out his opinion. "This stuff tastes like rotting a**." he said. Fudy put on a big grin. "Drink the next one." A moment later three empty vials sat on the floor at Razzer's feet. He and Fudy waited with bated breath to see if there was any effect. Several minutes passed, and there was no change. "My god." Fudy said. "I gave you my strongest poison and it didn't do a thing!" Razzer and Fudy stood silently for another moment, amazed. "You, my friend, are immune to poison. Congratulations." Fudy put his arm around Razzer's shoulders and shook him a bit. "Er, thanks?" Razzer gingerly removed Fudy's arm from his shoulders. "If you don't mind, I'll be going now. I'm rather tired." he said. Before Fudy could reply, Razzer muttered some words and vanished in a puff of orange smoke.
