Hearing Pacifica yelp, Shou overcame his whimpering at once and turned his head slightly so he could look at his sister and see if she was alright. It was definitely strange for him to suddenly feel agitated towards whatever had startled both of them but he managed a fierce growl (by puppy standards at least) and looked up at his mother.
What's going on? He yipped at his mother, hoping she understood. I don't like this at all...
It was an interesting feeling reverting as quickly as he did into his usual tense and emotionless state but he was pleased he was able to do it. He had promised no harm would come to the humans but that did not mean he wasn't going to enjoy scaring them half to death in the process. Lifting his head arrogantly, he looked both humans over carefully; judging them.
"Is this the human you live with?" He asked Kagome, looking down at her. He heard Celestia speak and he looked back at her intently, his brow furrowing. If his own assumption earlier had been correct, he had a feeling why they were there but he felt he had to hear it from them. "Speak quickly, Why are you here?" He asked, continuing to look them over.
Starr bit her lip to keep from laughing at Celestia's response.
"Smooth..." She whispered to her. "Come on, he's not that scary."
Stepping forwards, she waved her hand at Sesshomaru and laughed nervously.
"Calm down Fluff-monster." Sesshomaru redirected his glare to Starr and she took a step back again as he returned his attention to Celestia. "So uh... yeah, we didn't know you two were.. um," She paused, trying to figure out the right way to say what she was thinking. "How do I put it? 'Involved'?"

Pacifica was cowed by the suddenly noise. She felt her brother shift around but she buried her face deeper into his fur. If I can't see them, they can't see me... she mentally chanted.
Hearing, Shou's frantic yips, Kagome gently stroked the puppies. Soothingly, she cooed, "Shhh... Don't worry, it's okay..."
At Sesshomaru's question, she looked up and nodded. Tugging gently on Sesshomaru's sleeve, she whispered, "Who's the girl next to my human?"
Furrowing her brow, Kagome looked at the two girls. Her heart beat faster as the anxiety of what they would do came back. She didn't know who was more afraid: Herself or the two girls. Of course, Sesshomaru wouldn't even consider "afraid" or "fear" part of his vocabulary unless it applied to somebody besides himself.

Arching at eyebrow at Starr's step back. "You were saying?" she whispered back.
In a louder and a bit more steady voice, Celestia answered, "Um. We heard that you guys had...um...puppies? We just wanted to see them."
Opting for the safer one of the pair, she turned to Kagome. "When did....this...happen?"

Comforted by his mother, Shou let out an annoyed yip to the unfamiliar voices and settled his head on his paws for a moment before the idea of actually getting a peek at the weird things that were talking. Lifting his head slowly, he let out a slight groan at the fact that he still couldn't move because of his sister.
Coward... He yipped to her before continuing to try and peek at the weird things that, from what he could see, didn't have any fur.
Sesshomaru felt Kagome tugging on his sleeve and he glanced down at her. Leaning down towards her, he lowered his voice to answer her question.
"The other girl is the human that I live with. She's... strange." He finally concluded for lack of a better word. He felt her heartbeat quicken and, at first was unsure as to what had her worked up but then he realized what would soon be occurring. Brushing his lips against the top of her head, he laid his hand reassuring on her shoulder to try and comfort her. "It will be alright." Hearing Celestia's request, he turned back to the two girls and gave them a cold glare. "You wanted to see them? If that is all, then you're allowed to see them."
Starr stuck her tongue at Celestia and peered out from behind her to look at Kagome and Sesshomaru again. She could hear the yips of the puppies and her fear of the demon lord seemed to be forgotten for the time being.
"Oh yeah, the puppies. Can we hold them? Oh, I'm sure they're adorable. I can't wait to play with them."

Despite her fear, Pacific gave her brother a low growl, Shut up. You were hiding too! She squinted at the big bald things. What are they? Burrowing her head back into his fur, she mumbled, I don't like this
Kagome turned a bit to face Celestia. "I...This...It was a few months ago... Right, Sessho? She tilted her head towards him.
Whispering softly, she asked, "Will this be okay? To have them here like this?" Resting her head on his side, she glanced at her precious babies.

Hearing the puppies yelp around broke through her fear. Moving around Sesshomaru, she cooed, "Aw~ They're so cute!" Reaching carefully for the cream and red one, she froze. Twisting her head around, she peered at Kagome and Sesshomaru.
Awww.... They're cute... if they weren't about to kill me
"Is it all right for me to hold this one?"

I wasn't hiding! He yelped, returning her low growl. I has hiding my face to get something out of my eye He lifted his head haughtily in the air and glared over his shoulder at his sister. I don't want them to touch me... He whimpered when he noticed that the non-furry things were making their way across the room towards them. He turned his attention to them and growled a warning as he noticed one of them was reaching out for his other sister.
Sesshomaru stepped to the side slightly to move out of Celestia's way but he remained close enough to see what she was doing in the event he needed to intervene and to also comfort Kagome. Sesshomaru glanced down at Kagome at her question and nodded his head in agreement though he wasn't going to open his mouth as to what triggered them now being together though he smirked at her. Stroking her hair in a soothing gesture, he nodded his head.
"They seem scared out of their mind at the moment, which I don't know why," He glanced at Celestia when she asked her question and gave her a curt nod. "I don't see them doing anything stupid but are you alright with all of this?"
Stepping forward, Starr eyed the two parents warily and then stared down at the light blue female and the navy male. She smiled at the two of them and reached out to poke the light blue female.
"They really are adorable... and they have their fathers markings." She poked Pacifica again.

Pacifica rolled her eyes, And I'm a pony... she commented dryly. She squeaked when a large finger jabbed her side. Twisting around, she snapped at the offending appendage. Yelping when the finger attacked her side again, the small puppy latched onto it with her small teeth. Take that, you fiend! she growled.
Kagome shivered a little at his smirk. He still had that effect on her, no matter how hard she tried to suppress it. "It might be that fierce glare you were giving them before..." she said softly. "And I guess your reputation doesn't help that much either..."
She turned and watched the two humans interact with the puppies. "They don't seem to have any ill intentions." yet

Celestia gently stroked the side of the puppy she was holding. Tilting her head, she signaled Starr over. "Even though he won't like it," she softly conferred, "One of these have to be taken away..." Sneaking a peek at Sesshomaru's impassive face, the girl quickly averted the gaze and continued whispering, "Who do you think would be a good person to give a puppy to?"

A pony? He twisted his head to look at his growling sister in time to see her bite the thing that was poking her and he began to laugh; the sound coming out like a soft and deep purr of amusement. Looking at Pacifica again, he tilted his head curiously. Mama won't be happy you bit that girl but what's a pony?
Glancing at Starr briefly to eye her interactions with his daughter, he couldn't say he was pleased to see her poking at Pacifica like she was a toy but his frustration over the human's treatment of the pups took a dramatic turn when his daughter bit her. He gave his daughter a very pleased look before turning his attention back to Kagome.
"They should have known better than to disturb my family as they had which is why I glared at them." He lifted a lock of her hair and twisted it absentmindedly through his claws before lifting his amber gaze from his fingers and at the humans and noticed Celestia casting a look towards him. "Those humans are planning something...." He stated softly, frowning at them as he watched them speak softly to one another.
Smiling down at Pacifica, Starr sighed at their utter cuteness.
"I'm finding it hard to see any of Sesshomaru in any of these pupp-OW!" She yanked her finger back from out of Pacifica's mouth the moment she latched onto it with her small puppy teeth. She heard the little pup growling and groaned as she crossed back to Celestia again and gave Sesshomaru one last look. "I take that back..."
Leaning towards Celestia, she listened and stared down at the red-haired pup in the girl's arms and nodded in understanding.
"This is going to be hard... whoever we pick has to be honorable and loving enough to satisfy them both or they'll," She paused and glanced at Kagome for a moment. She didn't know if the young anthro was capable for hurting anything or anyone but she didn't want to take that chance. She quickly turned back to Celestia to return to plotting. "A good person? There are so many people who came and go in this shop that's going to be hard. I mean, there's Poison and Blue and Seiphra. Oh yeah, there's Corny, She doesn't have that many anthros and her wolves are pretty nice."

Pacifica growled again and allowed the finger to escape from her grasp. Well, she shoudn't have been poking me. she retorted. Eyeing her brother, she smirked. Don't you know? It's a big lumpy thing that humans do stuff with. Pacifica said with a superior tone.
With a sniff, she turned away and sought her mother. She would protect them both the poking giants. The midnight blue puppy let out a whine, trying to get her attention.
Kagome gently grasped his hand, "I'm sure they were just worried about us." But at the moment, she was the one worried. Surely they wouldn't tear apart a family, right?
Her brow furrowed, "I wish I knew what they were talking about..." she said absentmindedly. Her grip on Sesshomaru's hand tightened. Things were going so well...

Celestia giggled, "They're definitely related..." Her eyes softened as she gazed at the scarlet hair puppy. Stroking its back, she commented, "Maybe we should bring them in? For Kagome and Sesshomaru to decide?"
A little voice in the back of her mind piped up, assuming he doesn't killed them at sight... She quickly squashed the cynicism.
"But definitely someone that won't disappear. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be happy with us if that person took the puppy and ran..."

Lumpy thing that humans do stuff with? Wow, way to be vague sis! He yipped back at her and trying to mimic that superior tone she was using with him. He laid his head on his paws and watched her go to their mother and he rolled over onto his back and pawed at the air playfully until he heard a grumbling from his stomach and he paused in his play. Hm... it appeared his tummy was empty and he wanted to change that and he turned to the only other creature who could understand him. He looked at his sister and barked at her. Hey, I'm hungry.... get me food. He demanded,
Sesshomaru lifted their clasped hands and brushed his lips against hand.
"I can find out what they are planning for you love." He heard his oldest whining for Kagome and looked down at his daughter for a moment the fierce scowl of having to deal with the two human girls softening before he looked away to listen to what the humans were saying. Patience certainly wears thin and hearing them whisper over the fate of his red haired daughter was something he was sure should include the parents.
"If you both are speaking of our daughter's future, I would suggest you stop your whispering and speak with us." He said as calmly as he could though he was glaring at both Starr and Celestia.
Starr could only imagine what would happen if both Kagome and Sesshomaru caught word that the person she and Celestia gave their daughter to had disappeared and was never heard of again. She grimaced before nodding earnestly in agreement. Yes, that was a definite must that they didn't run. She ran through the list of people from the shop that she had named and began to pace back and forth, deep in thought for a moment before speaking her thoughts aloud.
"Hm.... well, I think many of the others are busy with winter things at the moment so we're tight with who we can pick from but perhaps Corny would work. She's not busy I don't think and I could go get her and bring her here." She glanced warily at Sesshomaru and sighed. "And maybe we could kick the overemotional furball out of the room while we had the meeting with her." She offered jokingly.

Twisting around, Pacifica glared at her little brother, I still know more than you so be quiet. She pawed at Kagome, whining for her attention. At the mention of hunger, her stomach growled. She was hungry too... Her pawing became more anxious.
Kagome shook her head, "I'm sure they'll tell us in time. I trust Celestia and her judgment. She wouldn't betray me or our family." Meeting his eyes, she smiled reassuringly. Seeing his cold eyes melt into a molten gold at the sight of their daughter made her heart beat faster. She gently free her hand from his grasp. She looked down and cuddled her daughter.
Pacifica gently licked her mother and waved towards Shou. When Kagome heard the puppy's stomach's growl, she looked at Sesshomaru. "Ah, do you mind...?" Her cheeks flooded with blood, uncomfortable with speaking about breastfeeding the puppies. "They're hungry," she explained, blushing furiously and not meeting his eyes.
Celestia nodded, she was thinking the same thing. Corny was their best bet to obey the shop's custom and not forfeit their lives to Sesshomaru's claws or sword. She jumped at Sesshomaru's icy remark. She stammered, "A-ah, well..." Luckily, she was saved by Kagome's announcement about the puppies.
She told herself as she edged away from Sesshomaru that she was only granting Kagome's request, not backing away in fear. She gently tugged on the bottom of Starr's shirt, "Come on, let's...ah... get her." Hopefully, Sesshomaru wouldn't question who "her" was and for what purpose.

"Goodness... it feels like you can cut the tension in this room with a knife...." Still trying to lighten things up, Starr wanted to laugh at Celestia trying to make a quick getaway from the room but one look at Sesshomaru's glare made her just as jittery and she laughed nervously before waving awkwardly to the happy family (minus one not so happy papa) and turned to Celestia as she backed towards the door.
"Yeah, that uh... sounds like a good idea." She said quickly.
Oh yeah, I'm sure. Shou mentally rolled his eyes at his older sister and yelped when his stomach let out another loud grumble. He groaned but brightened up at the voice of his mother and realized she had noticed. Bonzai! Food!! Noticing that Pacifica was already in their mother's arms and her stomach was growling too, he wiggled his way onto his tiny paws and began to yip and bark at both his mother and his sister. Hey, no fair.... no fair at all! I was hungry first you know!
Sesshomaru's look of satisfaction of scaring both girls was short lived as both his human and Kagome's human were trying to make a fast getaway. Who was this her they spoke of? It appeared he would have to wait. He pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head.
"More unwanted company." He was going to have to pray what self control and patience he had would hold since all he wanted, ever since Kikyo left, was to spend time with his children and Kagome without interruption. Of course, in this house; that seemed impossible. Hearing Shou's vocal complaints, he turned back to Kagome and raised a brow at her blush. His gaze was, at first, questioning and filled with concern but that instantly turned to amusement and he jumped at the chance to fool with her.
"I don't mind at all." He waved a hand at the puppies and smirked slightly. "But tell me, why are you blushing so much?"
