It would be nice to have more guild moderators to clean up repeated threads.

If You Esteem Your Own reputation; Maybe this is just me, but it just seems like nobody really ever posts anymore, me included. Which I find to be a total bummer. :/
So seeing as Brisingr is realesed on Spet. 20th [[I think]] maybe the guild could have some sort of events leading up to the realese date?
I was thinking maybe one a month, so that would be what, like 5 events all together?
Event wise I was thinking contests, the winner recieves some gold, if the guild can't provide the gold for some reason I suppose I could.
The types of contest I had in mind were things like an art contest based off part of the excerpt from Brisngr maybe.
Along with Short Stories, maybe a tek tek contest [[who can create a tek tek that looks the most like a specific character]], possibly another type of art contest consisting of what would Saphira look like in human form? I'm just spoutin' off ideas now, lol. But you get my gist, I hope. For It Is Better To Be Alone

If I had made some sort of mistake or over looked something I would have expected to be corrected, or if my idea sucked I thought I might have been told so... I never thought I would be completely ignored... Le sigh...

Heh...I'm sorry too. What between work and school and....everything else, I didn't really have much time to get onto the internet, let alone gaia... I think it's a wonderful idea. We'll just need to organise it... Uh...I'm in the middle of exams at the moment...but I'll try to get on anyway... Anyway, if you see this...I'd love to hear your ideas fleshed out a little. I think it'll be really good if we can get it off the ground.

People! Don't get too hard on the mods! They have lives! Most of the people on gaia are at least in high school, and that alone can be extremely time consuming if you want good grades. i really don't blame you mods for not being on at all. Like, I highly doubt that I will be on during the school year at all.

Little Silver Girl Have you guys ever had a contest? We could do something super nerdy like seeing who read the series the most in a week. I like the idea of contests or games... Maybe a quote contest? Give a quote, and ask who said it and in which book? Or a riddle contest?

Most of the people on gaia are at least in high school, and that alone can be extremely time consuming if you want good grades. And then there are those us who are old farts and have full time jobs, such as myself. And then there are the ones who are in college, and even university (though I daresay I don't think I'll ever get that far) and there are also a few parents online here, and though I know a few, I don't know if there are any mothers/fathers in this guild at the moment. kirpet If I had made some sort of mistake or over looked something I would have expected to be corrected, or if my idea sucked I thought I might have been told so... I never thought I would be completely ignored. This guild's been left to itself for what seems to be two years now, and I apologise for that. Isidar and myself and been thrown in several directions and have been busier than a beehive. I can't speak for her, but my life's only recently begun to calm down, and in light of that I figured I might pick up the slack around this place. Isidar followed suit because she has a break until March. If you're still around and would like to see your ideas blossom, I'd be more than interested to discuss them with you and how we'd make them come true. : )

Quote contests would have to be out of the question. It isn't everyone who's honest, and though I would respect the rules (i.e not having the book opened in front of you and looking for the quote) a few people might be tempted to do just that, just to win whatever prize there is, be it items or gold. I'm sorry, it does sound like a fun idea. But maybe not as a contest, maybe just as a guild event. : )
