I.Am I really hate that crap... Especially when they use it against us, like, "This is why abortion should be legal!" ...Even when it already is. Personally? Honestly, however cold it may sound, if abortion is illegal and women do that, they get what's coming to them. Seriously. If you're desperate enough to do stupid things in that situation, then they are desperate enough to do stupid things in other situations too and they are likely to end up killing themselves whether abortion is legal or not. "if abortion is illigle, woman will obtain it any way in more dangerous situations!" More dangerous situation...? this is woman empowering how? This makes woman seem stronger then many people give them credit for how?

La Veuve Zin Ebony the Peacian Vampire Sickening.
Just . . . sickening.
As for that lady who shot herself in the stomach?
I think the term for her is "psychotic." You've got to be severely mentally ill to do that. Did she even survive that? eek I really have no idea. O.o
@Seth: Indeed. *shakes head sadly* Even for showing just a little bit of empathy for that innocent being, you get flamed in that guild.
Sick.
@I.Am + Pyro: Couldn't agree more.

It's the equivalent of saying "if I can't have a pony, I'm going to jump off a bridge!!" Anyone who would actually do that is seriously ******** in the head. Maybe, y'know, women shouldn't be desperate to end pregnancies at all? Maybe it would be better for all women if no one was made to feel ashamed of being pregnant? If women never had to worry about how they would support their child? Ever thought about that tactic? Nah, legalising abortion is easier... stare

Ebony the Peacian Vampire Whoa.
Verbal bloodshed everywhere.
*was reading through Nethilia's thread in the Choicers Guild and saw countless brutal arguments*
That was terrible. Everyone was against each other. Everyone was fighting, bickering, and bitching.
Your bravery to take them all down at once amazes me, Kaiser. <3
But for all of you that went there and stood up for us and our beliefs on another battlefield, other than our own, I raise my glass and applaud you wholeheartedly.
I would have never had the courage to do something like that; ya'll have some nerve. Especially Kaiser, and KP.
Much admiration and respect to the both of you. I salute those who had the courage to dive, slow-motion, into a sea of Choicers, using logic, truth, and lack of bitchiness to get your points across.
heart Do I get a cookie too? I just felt sad when Ms. Ebony said, "@Aks: Because that's pretty much the entire pro-choice facade. No facts, logic, no respect, love, or care for anyone. Simply insults, and infatuations, desires, and irresponsibility. " Because I do love. I'm sensitive and cry easily and I love and care. Little children, animals, my friends and stuff. I shouldn't get hurt so easily, I admit, but I can't help it. I'm not offended, I just hurt that someone thinks I have no facts, logic, respect, or the most important part of me, Love and Care. And please, you know who you are, you're about to come up and start bashing me, I will call you Oppa. Oppa knows who he/she is, and I just ask that Oppa does not come to me and start bashing me like last time I said something. My wish might be granted, and it might not. I'll wait and see, but I am a caring individual. I love people and animals and get lonely often.

Hmm... I don't mean to be offensive by this, but it may come out that way: I do think that the Pro-Choice movement puts up this facade of being the logical ones with all the facts, and of being completely selfless, while implying that the evil Pro-Lifers want nothing more then to strip you of your freedoms and put you into slavery.
But really, from our side of the fence, most of the "facts" listed by Pro-Choicers are suspect at best. To us, it's obvious that Pro-Life is the way to be. All te indesputable facts support it; It's human, check, it's alive, check, what more do you need? It hasn't yet committed a crime that would justify death so, obviously, it should be allowed to live. To us.
And as far as loving and caring, I think she's ranting. However, the movement does seem to be fueled by desires, and supportive of irresponsibilities, in a way. What does the Pro-Choice movement want? They want abortion on demand, up to a certain time period depending on the person. What does this mean? Well, it means they can have as much contraceptionless sex as they want without worrying about that annoying STD, pregnancy. Who does this benefit? Them. I mean, everyone else too, but are they fighting primarily for other people? Don't be silly. And then you have the flagship Pro-Choice organization, Planned Parenthood, that not only supports abortion but stands to gain from it's remaining legal! I mean, I hate to think in terms of evil-corporations, but it isn't too hard to believe what I've heard about them giving out bad condoms. It's good business practice to make sure you have lots of business; That's why stuff is only warranteed until the day before it breaks down.
The thing is, you aren't just Pro-Choice Mako. The Pro-Choice movement doesn't define you, does it? I mean, you stated somewhere else that you support the death penalty, right? Well, the stereotypical Pro-Choicer is against the death penalty, so you stray right there. And it's the same with everyone; You aren't just a cookie-cut out of a Pro-Choicer. You're a human being, who believes that abortion should be legal.
These labels, Pro-Life and Pro-Choice, as useful as they are in figuring out who believes what, are really annoying like that. Just because I'm Pro-Life most people assume that my sole reasoning behind it is "God said so." And I hate telling Pro-Choicers that I'm a Christian, not because I'm embarrased of my faith, but because I know that as soon as I say that, no matter what arguments I use to support my position, all they will see in me is "Pro-Life Bible Thumper." Unfortunately, I also don't believe in lying unless it's a life and death situation, so it happens an awful lot. sweatdrop
Honestly, it's gotten so bad I avoid wearing T-Shirts that declare my religion or political beliefs, because it's a lot easier to make sure people don't just avoid me because of them if I inform them -after- I've met them. And that's just sad that so many people think of each other in such cookie cutter terms, and black and white imagery, that they stop being people, and become just "Democrat/Republican" or "Pro-Life/Pro-Choice."

Not to mention the question "what does brain function/consciousness/sentience/intellegenge/size/shape have to do with personhood?" I mean, the dictionary has "person" as being self defigning as a human being. And the unborn are infact human beings. SO by the very logic of it, the unborn are persons.

I couldn't have said it better, I.Am.
See, this is why the Alliance exists. So that the labels are ripped off, and we are sitting here, posting, and interacting not as _____ or _____ versus ____ or _____. But human beings who are tired of the bickering and the flame wars and the stereotypes.
See, Chat, when I see you, I think of a kind and decent individual who is vegan, a good cook, literate, kind, and a good person. The difference is, you believe abortion should be a right that every woman should be entitled to, whilst I believe the opposite.
You know I luff you. You know I get along with pro-choicers very well. Look at meh friendslist! I got Reinna, Beatrix, Munkers, Nethie, and many, many more pro-choice friends. And I luff them all, even though their views contradict mine. I see them as fine women who are respectful of other peoples' viewpoints. Which is why I love them so much. And you know I love you, too. ^^
When I rant about the pro-choice movement, I don't pinpoint certain people. I'm not like that. I generalize, somewhat, and grumble about the pro-choicers who aren't like you, like you might grumble about the pro-lifers who don't luff you like I do.
I wasn't putting that post together, thinking, "Ooh! I'll piss another one off! HAHA!" I was thinking, "Gee. Why can't some pro-choicers be like the Choicers in the Alliance, or on my friendslist? God, I'm pissed. I have to get this off my chest."

I'm sick of pro choicers making fun of us in their siggys. I'm sick of pro choicers making fun of God when I'm in debates. I'm sick of pro choicers making fun of me at school because I support pro life! For pete's sake, the teachers are suposed to stop bullying. But NOOO, they just join in on making fun of me because of my beliefs!
(it felt good to type this, it had been building up in my head for some time now.)

As much as I dislike said particular member (I believe she's the one who got me so upset I had a seizure...there's something about a blatant disregard for anyone but one's self that drives me insane), Andy's right. Though...
You know what I hate about that rule? Do you know how many horrible names I've been called in that guild and mods joined in instead of saying, calm down? And I haven't gotten it half as bad as other people have, and certainly not for a long time. I mean, shouldn't it be a safe haven? I'm tired of the whole, "We'll be civil to them even though they couldn't give a s**t about us." It feels awfully familiar and I don't like what it's familiar with.
