"Well lets get down to the job at hand," Artemis said from the back of the room "We need a leader, so who scored highest on the test? Aslo we need to get ready for that evac. whats-his-face talked about. they will probably need all the fighter jocks they can get their hands on if it's a plaitary evac.. So any one going to step up to the plate?"

Spinning around to the voice, Zendia turned to the man speaking. "Kefka scored the highest, with me right behind him." She told the man. "I'd feel comfortable with him leading." With a barely perceptible nod, Zendia added "You must have been on the third flight. Pretty impressive flying there," Considering the implications, she continued. "I heard something about how we're supposed to be flying recon, while Ruby, the other squadron, flies the hit-and-run missions," After a pause to take a deep breath, she exhaled. "About this evac business: I'm not sure of the specifics, but it seems it would make sense to have some equipment allready loaded on transports. At the very least, medical supplies and food. And," with a sigh of mild disgust, "weapons."

((And now, Orrin actually does something... Good.... and Nice? WTF?))
Orrin sat in his cell, waiting for the evac to begin. Nobody except the higher up people knew, and he only knew because he was watching the scanners. Now only gossip and rumors were spreading around at his hint through the flight patterns.
He stared at his datapad, then at his watch. It was reading 1900 hours, just as the suns began their descent. The first transports had already taken off, and the base was already more bare than before. The pilots didn't know, since they were debating who to lead them. Orrin had scored the best, but he created the whole thing. He also wasn't on flight status, nor was he any leader.... In fact he'd rather kill the lot and get over with it...
"Delta flight................. This is Big Hawk. Estimated........ Attack......." The datapad interupted. Orrin had been searching the com waves, and had found something quite unexpected. He called the guard over, and asked to be escourted to the com room, along with word to the CO that he wanted him there. This took more work than it should have, but since my typing skills would take even me forever to write and you wouldn't want to read that much anyway, I'll skip that bit.
"What is it now?" the CO asked.
"I intercepted an incoming transmission from somewhere using my datapad. If I can boost the signal, I can get the full message. I wasn't on normal frequencies either, so let me check it out and..." He stated, twisting nobs and punching buttons.
"Delta flight, do you copy?"
"Copy that, this is Delta flight, payloads ready. Mission clock begins in 15 minutes on my mark... mark!"
"Payload ordinance fully armed?"
"Roger Big Hawk. Fully armed. Awaiting orders, over?"
"Proceed to the drop point at Alpha Epsilon One Zero Niner at 70% throttle. Deliver ordinance and search the surrounding areas for key targets. Land based units will be keeping the outlying civilians on their toes. Sierra flight will cover their sixes."
"Where is that place? Relatively?" Orrin asked, as someone searched the map.
"Its.... its... Mos Eisley?" The corporal stammered.
"They are going to do WHAT?" Orrin snapped around. "You realise they intend to ambush Mos Eisley! If they do that, we won't have any way of getting our remaining transports out of there, and they'll quickly find this place!"
"What do you suggest we do? If we attack, which we are not prepared for, then we'll show ourselves now!" The CO responded.
((to be continued, just for a short interlude... and hopefully Kefka gets a chance to catch up... hopefully))

"I agree, Kefka would work good as the leader, so what do you say Kefka?" Artemis said to the group, then truning to the girl he asked " So who are you? Names Artemis, and yes I was in the third flight, the guy on tail" *leans over and wispers* " I can't hit anything with my bombs so I figured I'd let the other two do the dirty work"" *straitins back up and resumes talking normaly* " Sounds like you don't like guns, why? 'Cause if You don't like them why'd you join the merry band of outlaws?"

Zendia gave a polite little cough. "My name is Zendia Starsinger." With a pensive sigh, she composed herself, her body language suggesting mild discomfort. "I come from Alderaan. My father was unlawfully detained by the Empire for merely expressing his disagreement with Imperial policy." She then turned away, as her eyes grew misty. "He's probably dead now." Straightening up, and regaining her composure, Zendia continued. "The Empire is notoriously cruel, and for that, they must be stopped, for the good of all." With another breath, she added, "And so, I decided that I will take up arms." With another pause, she continued. "I might take up arms, and even be good at it. Still, it doesn't mean I have to like it." "And, when this is all over, I'll be happy if I never see another blaster again."
(( phew ... I'm still a li'l iffy on actions and such. Not totally sure how to really write out certain things. Trying to create a bit o' drama, y'know. ^_^ My dialogue probably sucks ... @_@ ))

Well then, Miss Starsinger, you might be waiting a while to put down that blaster, beacuse I have a felling that the Empire is not going to go down easy. Since nobody said the didn't like the idea of Kefka being leader, hes go the job. Now on the the evac. Do we just sit here and wait for instructions like good little soldiers or shall we get up there and do our part? I'm all for the seconed option.

Gendis stepped off the boarding ramp of a battered and inconspicuous light freighter. He looked around the inside of the docking bay and sighed heavily. It was bleak, primitive, and incredibly dusty. No doubt the rest of civilized Tatooine was the same way. Oh well. The Rebels didn't seem to stay in 5-star luxury skylifts, and probably wouldn't start doing so very soon. He grimaced. This was quite a pain.
A man, Gendis' pilot and Rebel contact, came down the boarding ramp to join him in his musings. "Well, here we are. Not the most spectacular place in the universe, but it's out of the way. The Empire will /never/ find us here."
Gendis's face suddenly broke into a grin, and he laughed. "I bet; I don't see why anyone would even /want/ to /look/ for something here." He kicked the sand at his feet. "So, where might the Rebels be staying on this wonderful durtball?"
His pilot scratched his neck. "Sheez, it's hot... well, they're.. err.. I'll just take you there."
The pilot did some messing about on a control panel by the boarding ramp and a small speeder slipped out of the back of his freighter. Both sat down in it, and the pilot sped off to the hiding place of Emerald Squadron.

((well we know theres an evac. and that was sarcamism, I wasn't talking about a rael notice. Nospai, I think were in some sort of building built into a hill or something, with bunks, meeting halls, and other rooms on the side facing the largest city and a hanger filled with ships below that and facing the other direction. The confrence room would be near the upper most room [the flight control room] so it would have windows facing most directions. But thats just me Nelo has the final say))

((thanks))
Gendis' friend waved as the new Rebel walked into an unassuming building. He waved back, smiling. When he entered, his smile dropped instantly. What was he getting himself into?
He wandered the place for a bit... he didn't really know his way around. But it was small and not difficult to navigate, so it was probably simply through his own hesitation that he lost himself. He eventually found a group of people that, by their composure, looked like pilots. Gendis's face lit up immediately. With a bright smile, he waved at everyone in the room, a somewhat silly act as he was not all that far away from them. "Hello... name's Gendis. Gendis Adimuun. When do I start flyin'?"

Gendis's face became pensive. "Well, I guess so, I mean... they just kinda... dumped me here..." He hoped that would be a sufficient explanation.
