Rivera finally woke up, feeling very horrible, having slept soundly for three days. That also meant that she was quite hungry. Of course, even hunger must wait. She felt... unclean. First, a shower. Food can come later. Taking care to get out of bed without waking up Kira, she went to her closet and grabbed a change of clothes-- a liquid silver looking tank top and pale blue denim shorts. For a change, she was going to wear a pair of white platforms... usually, she stuck with darker colors and violets. She was in a very white mood today for some reason. Rivera opened the refrigerator to leave out some cookies on the table, since after sleeping for three days, Kira would be hungry too. He can have some while he waits. Picking up her bath towel, she went into the bathroom and undressed.

The scars on her body were a usual sight. The ones on her back reminded her of the ancient past and the closed bullet wound in her side reminded of her new past. Her other wounds were her present and her most recent ones a reminder of her future... The dragon tatoo on her right forearm reminded her of her heritage, who she was. She wouldn't forget again, she would never forget who she was. Who was she? Many things that she can't think in one thought or speak in one breath... but she knew very well who she was, and now there was a reason for her to live.

Rivera stepped into the shower and turned the water on, yelping when the water was too cold, then yelping again when it was too hot. After 13 or 14 days, she didn't remember how to tone her water anymore. She could hear Kira stir in the other room, or so it seemed, and panicked. She just realized that she forgot to lock the door... well, too late now. She wasn't strong enough to do it through magic yet, and she wasn't quite willing to slip if she got dizzy again and break something. Rivera finally compromised and just created a lot steam with one of the easiest and first taught magic tasks--fire. Even if he did walk in, he'd just get out for all the steam anyway.

Content in the misty, warm environment, Rivera was very happy to scrub out all the grit from her pores. She never imagined soap was such a godly item now, when she used to take it for granted and used it out of habit. Her hair felt much better after the wash, as shiny as black metal and smooth as silk compared to the few days before.

Rivera dried herself off and changed into her new set of clothes. They felt strangely uncomfortable on her after she had worn her priestess's robes... she'll have to clean those up later. They were covered with blood. Then again, the robes would clean themselves. No item of the temple would stand to be soiled with blood for long. After all, it did have certain properties of its own pretaining to the purity it has affiliated with water. She was drying her hair with a towel as she came out of the room and found Kira awake. He looked like he had died, then came back to life... or something. Glancing at the empty plate on the table, Rivera smiled a little. Her eyes were green and laughing. Guess her cooking wasn't so horrendous after all...

"Sorry, I only had chocolate chip and oatmeal..." She got out two glasses. "Wine or milk, or grape juice?" Rivera was already pouring a clear, pink wine into her own glass. "Sorry if you're not very tolerant of alcoholic drinks... I feel like a lion jumped on me..." Rivera took a sip, made a face and downed the rest. She was more used to green wines. The pink one was a shock of mint and berries.

"It's berry mint flavored white grape wine..." She sipped it. It was more enjoyable the second time. Because she was Aeterranchisen, it was harder for her to get drunk than others. When she heard about the hair cut and the clothes, she just blinked. "I can cut your hair... but I think you look better with the long hair. That's just my opinion though." She opened the closet and began rummaging. "Kai doesn't keep lots of clothes here. He has a dorm too, but that's just his storage space. He sleeps in the other room, so there's only a few changes here..." She pulled out a black shirt, a pair of black jeans, a leather belt and a long black coat with the school insignia.

"I'm afraid Kai is Dragon sized... ish. He's an Atlantean half dragon, sorta like my dad except my dad's a human half dragon... it'll be a little bit big on you..." She handed them to him. "He's got boots and socks too, but you can put them on after you dry off... um...

Rivera kissed Kira on the forehead instead of answering his questions. Her eyes plainly said that she needed to think. She sat alone at the table while Kira took his shower, sipping at the wine. It raised her body temperature up into the safe range although it slowed down her bodily functions slightly. She smiled slightly, thinking about Kira. Dizziness crossed her mind when her eyes fluctuated in colors quickly, like a shifting moodstone. It suddenly dimmed to a dull gray for a moment, then flare up into a brilliant gold before reverting to blue-violet.

Rivera sighed... she only wished the decadia had gotten rid of of her dependency on medication to stay in the current environment. Guess that was hoping for too much. She reached up to open the cabinet above the kitchen sink and got out a huge plastic medication organizer. then opened it. "Here we go..."

Rivera sighed and placed on last pill on the table. There was an assortment of twenty pills or so, of all different colors resting next to a glass of water. "What is it for? So I don't collapse during the day, or just die." She muttered and shut the box. "I gotta get used to it again. The Crimson Decadia may have protected me for ten days, but three days without it, nor my medication, I think I'll just fall over and die here." She knew she had given a vague description, but she didn't want to talk so much yet. It already hurt to use her voice, even in her whispering voice. Selecting a reddish pill first, she swallowed it with a gulp of water. That was liver support. Then there was a protien supplement, a fiber supplement, a calcium supplement, a vitamin supplement, a metabolic reductor, a riboflavin supplement, an antioxydent supplement, oxygen support and other supports that'll get her through the day.

After swallowing all twenty or so odd pills, she had finished the entire glass of water. Rivera felt her airways widening, making it easier for her to speak. "I'm not used to living on land yet..." That was all she said before she reached into a drawer and pulled out a comb and a pair of scissors, taking the comb to Kira's hair. Having an eye that commands her hand allowed her to whatever needed to be done. "I'm going to try to cut it back into what it looked like before, so hold still... you don't want to get hair all over the place..."

Riyoku snipped lightly at Kira's hair, modeling it after her photographic memory of Kira's old style, leaving it about a centimeter longer. She carefully brushed or picked off every strand that fell from her scissors. "Mm... I'm out of hemoglobin and hormonal support though... they don't seem to make those any more. If this keeps on going, I'll have to spend a week or two in the hospital." The word 'hospital' made her shudder slightly. That place was a nightmare to her.

"I have half a month before I start desperately needing the hormones." She tossed the extra hair in the trashcan and began to dust little snippets off his head with her fingers, running her hand through his hair gently and slowly. "I've already lost the ability to... I'm saying too much, aren't I?" She forced a smile, then turned away to put away the scissors. "Sorry to annoy you with my medical history. It's not all that interesting."

Rivera was surprised when she felt his embrace, but only for a moment. She soon relaxed and leant backwards into him, enjoying the feel of his strong body and her warmth. She tilted her head back into his chest, turned and kissed his throat. It's not like she was really tall enough to do anything else barefoot. "It's not so tough... I'm used to pain. It doesn't hurt so much to talk about it..." She looked at the medicine organizer on the table and sighed again, wearily. "Because I'm not used to earthly pressure, my stomach can't withstand the strain of food, so I rarely eat. For that, I need many forms of nutritional supplements to live. Breathing is also difficult here, due to the pressure on my lungs, so... I have to have oxygen supports, stimulants to strengthing my lungs... or I just die from suffocation. That's about it. It's not very interesting..."

She slipped from his grasp and turned to put the wine back into the fridge. "I need to start training for the star test, and recover quickly if I want to pass... I have to have a 5/8 grade to pass... it's quite hard for me, because of my health. The only way to win is to train my hypermode's stability... I should probably just go..." she began to put on her white platform shoes, the one with silver butterfly buckles. "You have a test too, don't you? What's your passing standards?"
