Lupu, Squire of Saturn Roll 3Lupu laughed softly and swung at one of the fog creatures. “I am your backup! Isn’t that good enough for you? Seriously, besides, look at all of the people here. I don’t know anyone but you, I don’t think but...hey. Here I am.” He drew back the bow, and swung it sharply, getting one of the creatures right in the jaw.
“Don’t worry. We’ll get home, and you can buy me a good dinner when we’ve done it. You know, to make it up to me that we had to eat such...disappointing things over the last few days.”
Sure, it was his own fault that they were here to begin with but...still. It was up to the older brother to care for the younger.

Squire Ammersee - Roll 3Ammersee didn't even have time to be grateful that the fog creatures have faded when the giant monster began to immediately attack. It was swiping through the air at the group and he raised an arm to defend.
"--Buy you--buy you dinner? Mal would have your head if he caught you cheating on him!" he insisted, grimacing as the sharp gust of one of the creature's attacks pushed him back and nearly made him lose balance. "--What is this thing?" he grumbled, holding onto Lupu to give himself a little bit of support and defense against being blown back.

Lupu, Squire of Saturn Roll 4Cheating...what?
“Wait...what? How the Hell is it cheating if I go to dinner with my brother? Mal would never think such a thing?” Lupu felt so utterly flabbergasted and flung out an arm to catch his brother before he could fall. “You good? Maybe less teasing and more being you know, cool. Act like you’re the Squire that you’re supposed to be!”
The words were spoken more out of fear rather than anything else. “Let’s just work harder, okay? Let’s just work harder and stay alive okay? But yeah. Buy me dinner.” He drew in a breath and launched an arrow of his magic, hoping to hold the creatures away from them.

Squire Ammersee - Roll 4The darkness that had fallen at the monster's spell sent a chill down Ammersee's spine, but he did his best to stay close to Lupu even as fear and paranoia flooded through him. Vaguely, he was reminded of his brother's magic, and it just made him stick closer to him.
"Cheating because you know how he gets when you eat someone else's food! Ugh--you act like the Squire you're supposed to be," he grumbled through grit teeth, desperately trying to push away the agitation and alarm that felt like it had crawled into every inch of his body. And yet, he stood up a little taller, a little braver, still doing his best to protect his little brother however he could. "...Just--stay close to me, Lu, I don't want to lose you," he said, and though he did his best to sound brave and unaffected, he could feel a chill in his bones even as the monster continued to attack.

Civilian Alex - 4 + 4 + 3 Makeup Roll 3
Alex had a feeling she was going to be feeling the fight in the morning. Especially when she found herself hit by some of the wood from the splintering tree bark. She made a noise of pain, but squared herself up for another attack, intent on seeing them out of the strange town, back to their homes and families. Besides...what was a few splinters compared to labor?

They're using Lawtrrence and Alex for protection.Nope.It was dark only briefly, and while he was untouched, he did feel concern immerdiately rise for his feminine company. The man glanced back to them, brows raising in concern as she shifted to give Alex a moment to recouperate. "Is everyone alright?" He asked swiftly. Cherish immediately stopped when it all went dark. A silence competitive with thjat of a snow storm blanketed them like the puffy white stuff, and the sensation of simething she pushed away fdrom it with a hiss, a puff of air telling her she evaded claws. Promptly Cherish looked around while the others responded before she answered her father. "I'm good, Dad." Cherish affirmed. Yolie hissed. The dark set her into a defensive stance, preparing to engagwe the monster when claws scratched her, leaving lines of red and pain, andf the woman hissed shartply as the area returned from the fog and the girlk looked up towardsa the beast with a snarl on her lips. Clue (Kasem Jindachot) Roll 1 (Attack) | 8Clue really hadn't had enough time to answer Itokawa. He was mostly trying to get through the pain and bruises that they had received when they had been captured. The monster certainly didn't care about how it had lugged them around when it came to capturing them, though he was happy that he was at least... alive. How alive that was wouldn't be known. He only hoped he didn't have any internal bleeding that needed surgery. Unfortunately for him, he didn't have the type of healing that his partner did and that meant he was much more of a squishy target. He had jerked up when the tree had crashed through and had let Itokawa take him out. The Dark Mirror seemed to know what to do, at least enough to let them survive as they had made it past the weird fog-monsters. Now they just had this other one to deal with that seemed to have grown in size as well. Clue could only hurl a slightly-large rock at the creature and while squarely hitting it, doubted he really did any damage to it. He looked at Itokawa, "I trust you, we'll get through this. Maybe we can visit a hospital for myself afterwards." He said with a slight flinch as he felt a shot of pain in his back. "Too bad I don't have healing like you said you do."

Super Chibi Lepus | 8+9+6+10 | Roll 4
The monster was growing bigger, like some kind of Power Rangers monster, or a gigantamax pokemon... or something along those lines. That would have been pretty cool to watch, under normal circumstances, like when they weren’t in the middle of some all out war against the creature. What wasn’t cool, though, was the crushing sense of Dread and Despair, emotions that Lepus generally never felt, reckless and overconfident as it was. This wasn’t right, making her feel this way- in fact, it was almost illegal, really! But there wasn't anything Lepus could do to shake it off, which made her even more agitated, because she wasn't supposed to feel this way.
There was also the problem of the monster continuing to attack, too. It wasn't as if she expected it to give up so easily, but it complicated matters, as between dodging flying pieces of tree, and keeping her footing from the strong gusts of wind, Lepus found it difficult to do much other than continue to either try distracting it more with her decoys, or just throw whatever projectiles she could find at it.
"Grrrrr... curse you, you vile fiend...!" she managed to say, through gritted teeth, "You're no proper villain- you're just a big bully!"

Chibi Hokkaido | 7+6+2+8 | Roll 4
The monster was growing in size, big enough to stomp on a poor little chibi such as herself, to stomp out her already short life. Hokkaido continued to cower behind Aomori, afraid of what may happen next, but then the darkness came closing in, and suddenly she lost sight of her twin, and felt very very alone. This was it, they were all doomed, just like she had been fretting about since the start. She didn’t need to be inflicted with any sort of status effect to even feel this way, but it certainly didn’t help, not that she was even aware that this was the monster’s doing.
The thousands of glowing eyes that seemed to stare straight through her soul didn’t help, either.
“P... please, stop!” the chibi cried, as she continued to do the only thing she knew to do in this situation, which was flail about uselessly. “Aomori... where did you go...!?”

Civilian Kalani | 8+5+0+8 | Roll 4
Kalani was going to burn these clothes once they got home, she decided. Between being forced to live in primitive conditions for the past three weeks, getting knocked down into the mud, and now dodging not only splinters, but even tree trunks, there was a certain sense of ‘my carefully maintained self-image is ruined forever’. For once she actually wished to be able to power up in this situation, if only because phantom cats were a lot better to fight with than just throwing rocks.
With the darkness closing in on them, there was a sense of paranoia to be felt, but not exactly in regards to the monster, but more to how she was being perceived by everyone at the moment. Did she look wimpy, throwing rocks around like this? Surely her hair and clothes were a total mess right now. What would Rune think of this- actually, why did she even care about that?
Can we just get this over with already? Kalani thought to herself.

Civilian Safiya | 7+8+0+4 | roll 4 The trees grew, and with it so did the monster. Safiya was less interested in attacking it at this point than she was trying to find Cinta, (though she still threw a rock for good measure). After all, Cinta was the most tolerable of Safiya's cousins, or family in general, and after spending all this time working together so far, it'd really suck to have to end up being stuck with someone like Kalani again. Flying branches nicked her as she fumbled her way through the darkness in search of her cousin in the midst of the ongoing chaos. It was difficult to see, and the monster was certainly giving off some very negative vibes that were affecting her and the others, too, but she pushed aside those emotions for now, and continued onwards. It was probably a stupidly dangerous idea to look for her while the fighting was still going, and in hindsight, would have been safer to look for her when the fighting was over. However, Safi was already moving, and eventually, in the darkness, she managed to catch a glimpse of pale iridescent hair, which no doubt was Cinta, and reached out to put a hand on her arm. " Oi, Cinta!"

Sailor Deneb | Score: 5 | Roll 1Deneb knew that the city liked to occasionally play mean tricks on its inhabitants, via whatever supernatural force was working behind the scenes, but being trapped in a rundown village for three weeks, while being at the mercy of a monster that attacked at night, was an entirely new low for it to sink to. She'd maintained her composure well enough for the most part through the time they'd been stuck here, aside from the shouting match she had gotten into with her 'roommate' at the start of it all; however, as one who insisted on perfection, and hated when she was presented with less than 100%, Deneb had found herself slowly but surely losing her cool when it became clear that salvation would not be found that easily. Or quickly. In general, she'd kept her displeasure to herself- there was undoubtedly no one here that would truly understand her frustrations, though at times it seemed like maybe her roommate perhaps held a similar mindset. Instead, she would just grumble to herself while out gathering, though even that did nothing to improve her mood. Used as she was to having everything handed to her, Deneb did not mesh very well to this whole 'having to provide for oneself' thing, nor did she ever wish to. Indeed, it took an awful lot of willpower to maintain her façade of being unbothered by it all. When the tree crashed, Deneb was one of the first to go check it out. A way out had been revealed...? Finally, it took everyone long enough to make this happen, assuming it was another of the 'villagers' stuck here that had done the deed. Of course, if only it was so easy to just walk right on out of here- just as soon as the way out had been revealed, the darkness came rolling in with that suffocating fog- and along with it, minions of the forest guardian, made of fog. "I've had enough of this," Deneb growled, very tired of this back and forth with the monster, and just wanting to go back home, "Bubble Blast!" Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Bubble Blast Deneb sends a volley of magical bubbles blowing out toward a target, which burst upon contact; they do not pop on their own. The bubbles leave temporary marks, mostly some minor bruising, that fade when the magic ends, unless the player wishes for them to linger afterwards. The magic lasts for twenty seconds, and can be used up to three times.

Sailor Deneb | 5+4 | Roll 2
When the real monster finally showed up, all Deneb could think was finally, finally it had 'graced' them with its presence. and they could get this all over with and go home. She wasted no time in shifting her focus from the minions, which had been mostly taken care of at this point, to the actual source of all of their problems for these past three weeks. There was a point in time where her attacks may have been nothing but a joke, and there were still times when she still felt that way, but for the moment, the only thing Deneb cared about was grinding this thing to dust and returning to her normal every day life.
"Don't think for a second I haven't forgotten everything you've put us through!" she exclaimed, finally able to vent out her frustrations.

Except... they weren't really doing any real damage to it so far, were they? In fact, it really seemed that their attacks so far only seemed to invoke its ire, as it became more enraged, slashing at trees and sending debris everywhere. Conversely, Deneb herself was becoming more enraged as well, because this was already taking way too long.
"Why don't you give up and die!?"
