 ᒍEI ᑕᕼIᗷᗩ x x x[/white] 山雨欲来风满楼 x x x ★★★★
The morning had started off nice and slow until chaos hit him like a bag full of bricks. Jei decided to lay in bed for awhile, drifting in and out of sleep until Moopsie literally started to gnaw at his foot with her sharp needle teeth, yipping at him to get up and feed her. The young professor had grumbled but when he noticed how bright his room was, he jolted out of bed with such vigor that Moopsie nearly went flying as he threw the sheets back.
After making sure his fox had been fed properly, Jei set about to getting ready for his planned date with Gannon. They were supposed to meet up at the Jolly Tavern and Inn and he really didn't want to be late. By the time he had finished getting dressed and sorting himself out, Moopsie had eaten her food and was already laying on the couch. "Lazy girl...I'm going to leave you at home today, okay? The Jolly Tavern wouldn't appreciate me bringing a fox into there, I'm sure." Jei gave her an affectionate ear rub and smooched the top of her fuzzy head. "I'll see you later, Moopsie."
The fox replied with a yawn then tucked her nose under her tail. Jei chuckled as he threw on a light cloak, slipped on his shoes, then departed from his home. His walk to the tavern felt nice with the slight breeze tickling his cheeks, a relaxed content expression on his features as he reflected on the last two months. Gannon brought a new light to his life that he never thought he would experience. The man was so patient with Jei's cluelessness when it came to romance.
Jei soon found himself at the tavern and let himself inside. It didn't seem to be quite as busy as the last time he visited so he scanned the room in search of his boyfriend, a grin reaching his lips when he realized he actually beat Gannon for once. Jei sat himself at one of the tables by the window, figuring at least he could watch for his lover to arrive.

{Where:Tavern} {With: No one in general} {Wardrobe: Outfit} {Song: Playlist } { Profile: XXX } She sat in the back of the tavern. She was not confident as the fish shop owner had made her. But her outfit today did expose her scales on her stomach. The snake shifter laid her head down on the table as she could not forget the words exchanged between the two feline shifters. This was something weighing on her mind a lot lately. She bit her bottom lip as she sat there. Her long white hair hid her face as she laid her head down on the table. She balled up her fist as she slowly straightened up. Her eyes were puffy from where she had been crying earlier. She knew falling in love was the wrong thing to do.
She looked around the tavern before spotting the male she had spoken with last time when her hands were hurt from helping Leon. He was the one who was with the other handsome man last time. Looking around more she saw several people in the tavern. Harp felt restricted. She didn't want to make friends if she was going to lose them. This hurt her more. She even distanced herself from Leon only using his forge when he was asleep. She was scared her life would come to an end as well. She was a weakling. She couldn't protect anyone. Fighting was wrong. She patted her own cheeks as she put on a smile. She needed to do something or she will just continue to hide away.

══════════════════════════════════════ Emma looked around her tavern, pleased to see so many familiar and new faces. Spotting a particularly lovely woman, sitting alone, Emma had to wonder what had the lovely lady looking so down. Pouring a fresh cup of tea, she placed it on a tray with cream and sugar before heading over to the lovely woman’s table. “Good afternoon, Miss. Thank you for coming to the Jolly Tavern and Inn.” Emma said with a warm smile as she began to place the tea, the cream and the sugar on the table. “Here you go, love. It’s on the house…” Emma said with a wink. “Please let me know if I can get you anything else, alright?”
[ - Gin & Eryli & Stranger Enter into the Tavern - ]
Glancing at the door, Emma gasped lightly as Gin stepped inside, helping carry a man in with the help of another girl. “Please excuse me, love.” Emma said quickly to the female shifter before rushing forward to help Gin. “What happened?!” She asked urgently, pulling a chair up so the man could be seated.
“Water, Emma, quickly.” Gin said as he set the man into the chair, with the help of Eryli. “Of course! I’ll be right back.” Emma was quick to head behind the bar to grab a large glass of water. Gin looked to Eryli and gave her an appreciative nod. “Thank you for your help, Eryli, I don’t know if I could have gotten him all the way here without you…” Gin said with a small smirk. Stretching a little bit, he sighed and looked to the man slumped in the chair. Kneeling next to him, Gin looked at his face, frowning a little bit.
“Here you go, water.” Emma said as she came over and offered the glass to the stranger. Seeing his face, she frowned in worry – this man looked weak, malnourished, dehydrated. What had happened to him?
Getting an idea, Gin looked to Emma. Standing up, he moved to take Emma to the side. “Emma, can you rent him a room for a night or two while he recovers?” Gin asked, reaching into his pocket to pull out the rest of his pocket money. He had enough for at least one or two nights at the Inn…he hoped. Placing it in Emma’s hands, he gave her a pleading look. “Please?”
Emma looked up at him in a bit of surprise – truth be told, she would have given the stranger the room for free, he looked like he was in desperate need, but Gin looked so adamant about paying for it. Nodding a bit, Emma smiled. “Of course Gin, this will cover everything…I’ll take very good care of him.”
[ - Gannon Enters into the Tavern - ]
Gannon was panting lightly as he entered the Tavern – he was late! Stepping inside, he was so frantic to find Jei that he hardly noticed Gin, Emma and Eryli off to the side helping a very pale looking stranger. Stepping farther inside, he spotted Jei seated at a table next to the window. Gannon smiled while simultaneously breathing a sigh of relief. Straightening his clothes, and his posture, he headed for the table. “Jei, I’m so sorry I’m late…” Before Gannon took the seat across from him, he reached down and gently grasped Jei’s hand. Kissing his knuckles, Gannon smiled. “I missed you this morning…I hope you weren’t waiting long for me.” He said as he held Jei’s hand with one of his own and took his seat.
They hadnt been separated for very long, but Gannon found himself wanting to spend more and more time with Jei – pretty much as much time as he could. Free Days were no longer dedicated to catching up with work – they were reserved for Jei… Looking into Jei’s eyes, he smiled warmly and squeezed his hand. “Should we have some tea? Lunch?” He hadnt eaten lunch yet, but there was no telling if Jei had made other plans for them…

The minute they were in the Tavern, Eyrli did what she did best and let Gin do the talking as he had a woman who the mute could only assumed worked here fetch the stranger some water, she'd help Gin seat the male before releasing him and standing up straight. Gin thanked Eyrli for the help, to which she gave a warm smile Guess I can actually start being of use now, huh? She thought. It was nice being able to do something, however small.
She thought it better to stick around to be sure the strange man recovered enough to handle himself, simply watching with a surprised expression as Gin was then requesting to pay to get the man a room for a few days. The Elementor could not help but wonder why Gin seemed so serious about this man. Is that just how he is? Or perhaps they knew one another? It could be any number of reasons. Eyrli could not help but be fascinated by the Shifter. He kind of reminded her of herself when it came to a close friend of hers. Perhaps that was what drew her to him? Well, that, and who can complain about somebody who liked puppies? Anybody like that is worth knowing!
Her focus shifted as another person entered the Tavern, seemingly oblivious to the situation. Isn't that... Court Mage Noble? She'd tilt her head, conflicted with surprise and confusion. Eyrli wondered why he was here, but more so how he hadn't noticed what was happening nearby. Must be doing something important... Maybe. With a silent sigh, Eyrli turned her attention back to the matter at hand for the time being. _ _ _________________________________________________ ⎿ Mood: Relieved | Company: Gin, Gannon, Strangers | Wearing: [As seen w/ grey pants] ⏋

[-Enters for the Jolly Tavern-]
The robed man was able to able to sense the change in temperature as he was brought into the tavern. His thirst grew ever fiercer as he was lead over to a nearby chair, where the man and girl who had helped sat him down. He sat there, his posture slumped and feeble. He hear voices around him, but he didn’t have the strength to take in anything that was being said. All he could manage to get out was a muttering whisper, following by weak breathing “W-Water…water…” Just managing to keep his eyes open, the robed man gazed as a woman approached with what appeared to be…
Water!
At that moment, a sudden surge of whatever strength the man had left caused him to lung forward, desperately grasping the glass and vigorously downing the ice-cold water, unintentionally slamming in one the table as he let out a burst of coughing before sitting back and feeling relieved to have finally found shelter and had a drink. Opening his eyes, his vision cleared and he was able to bare witness to the faces of all who surrounded him. Cradling his head in his hand, the man leaned forward and spoke quietly, “W-Who are you? W-Where…where am I?” His memory felt so hazy, it had been so long since he had had a decent drink of anything. Keeping himself steady against the table, he awaited answers, if there were any to be had…

{Where:Tavern} {With: No one in general} {Wardrobe: Outfit} {Song: Playlist } { Profile: XXX } Her eyes lifted when someone began to speak to her. She looked down at the tea as she smiled. Her eyes showed softness but she was frightened as well. The word seeping into her. Why was she still thinking of a war? She thanked Emma as she bowed her head in a kind gesture. But before she could actually open her mouth she heard some commotion. She hurried to stand to her feet as she looked between everyone. She was listening in silence to the conversation. Two of the three that came in were drawn in Leo's book. Leo always showed Harp her drawings and there was a lot of the students Leo teaches. Wait one has shorter hair this time. She tilted her head as she kept her eyes on the group. She wasn't a doctor but she knew there would be something she could use to help the boy.
Harp didn't have anyone in the shop today as she was fighting a battle inside herself she didn't see it was needed for the shop to be opened today. She hurried and gulped down her tea burning her tongue a bit. She made a face as she shook her head. Now, this is why she didn't drink hot beverages in a rush. "I am the herbalist. I will go with you." She did a quick glance over before waving the other female to follow. She needed to see if she had what she needed. He looked like he needed a few things. "Do you have any knowledge with remedies and plant-based healing? She didn't know the girl was mute.

⥏⥏ 𝐸𝓎𝓇𝓁𝒾 𝑅𝑒𝓈 ⥑⥑_____________________ Profile ⏣ Temper: None_________________________________________________ _ _ Eyrli was momentarily startled at the sudden change of pace the stranger showed the moment the woman arrived with some water, stepping back and watching in awe at his surge of energy. Guess desperation does that..! She returned quickly to her typical grin as he seemed to already be in a better state than seconds ago. She was still puzzled, having not seen anybody here that looked even slightly like him. It was clear he wasn't a local. He must have been desperate to get here... For whatever reason? After a couple seconds he was already acknowledging their presence, as well as his surroundings.
As Gin would introduce Eyrli on her behalf, she'd give a wide grin and wave her hand, being sure to show she means zero harm. He was then introducing the woman, Emma, who turned out to be the owner. Huh. The more you know. Her bright blue gaze turned to the Tavern owner as she would ask her to go to the Herbalists for some supplies. Admitedly the Elementor felt a little uncertain as medicine wasn't her strong suit.
Before she was able to start writing her concern somebody nearby had came forward, a girl approach saying she worked at the aforementioned shop. Phew... That certainly makes things a ton easier. With a quiet sigh, Eyrli was feeling reassured now that she was with somebody that knew what she was doing. As they'd take their leave the girl seemed to be trying to converse with the mute female. This situation was always somewhat amusing to Eyrli, as she'd try to guess the persons reaction when they learn she cannot speak. As the girl asked Eyrli a question, all she could do to answer was shake her head and give the Herbalist a sort of confused expression as they walked.

╔═══════════════════
The man lightly shook his head to clear his thoughts and revive himself a little, in order to take in what the people around him were sharing. Eoana? The neutral island territory he had heard so much about? Interesting…when he had boarded that merchant ship, the robed man knew not for where it was bound. He’d didn’t mind all the same, he was a bit of a wanderer by nature, so he wasn’t particularly jarred in having wound up on here of all places. Listening further, his gaze travelled from the man who helped him named Gin, to the woman named Emma, as he learnt that a room had already been prepared for him so that he could fully recover. The man was also introduced to the young woman who aided him, a girl named “Eyril”. Nodding in both acknowledgment and gratitude of their actions in providing him aid, he spoke quietly “My...gratitude to...you all.”
The man perked up as Gin aired his own questions. Sighing lightly, the man looked the man in the eyes and answered, albeit a bit weakly “My name is…Aemon, as for what brings me here…well there is…no particular reason…I suppose I am what some may consider a bit of a nomad…” He tried to stand, only to weakly fall back into the seat. He grunted in frustration is response to his lack of independent movement. It seemed his full strength just hadn’t returned yet, he’d have to sit here a while longer.

╔═══════════════════
Aemon had simply sat there listening to the group of strangers around him converse and suggest what the best course of action was in order to make sure he saw a full recovery. He had to admit, this was unusual. He’d had never encountered strangers fretting over his well-being before…it was an…intriguing experience to say the least. Aemon disliked being indebted to others, however, in this instance, they were doing him a favour. After all, the man named Gin, the girl Eryli, they could’ve have left Aemon out in the streets. but they didn’t. The woman Emma could’ve tossed him out of her inn in order to save herself the trouble, but she didn’t. So, who was Aemon to refuse their help? If anything, he should count himself lucky, otherwise, he could very well have died out there in the streets had no one come to help him. Emma, the inn’s owner announced that she would make Aemon something to eat, to which he replied “My…ugh…gratitude”, still clutching his head.
Raising his head slowly, he took a look around the inn’s bar. His vision may have cleared, but due to his light head and fatigue, he realised that he had missed out on certain details. For instance, he had to focus what energy he had left just to notice the fact that Gin, the man who just took a seat across from him, happened to be a shifter, as made evident by his ears and tail. Aemon managed to give Gin his attention as the shifter inquired further, addressing him as “nomad”. Listening further, Aemon gazed at the man curiously. He certainly was a curious one. To be so curious over a stranger? It seemed…odd… Regardless, Aemon saw no terrible invasion of privacy with the shifter’s questions and therefore answered, “In a sense, I was not part of a nomadic tribe but…I’m a wanderer, making his way from one place to another…as for where I came from…I just arrived here from Azar...” Continuing to meet Gin’s inquisitive look, Aemon pondered the shifter with his still weakened gaze. He then continued “ I had…not expected to be aided out in the streets…you have my gratitude…Gin…I will see this debt I owe to you all repaid…” Aemon still felt sharp pangs of hunger shoot through him, causing him to lay back in his chair. He tried to relax as best he could, but, the combination of symptoms he was having did not make it the easiest task.

╔═══════════════════
Aemon gave Gin a curious look as the shifter spoke. Don’t worry about repaying his debts to him? That…that was a first. No, there had be a catch, right? Surely there had to be. Everyone on this planet always desired something in return for their efforts. It wasn’t anything inherently negative or cruel, it was simply a part of being human. In his travels, the Azarian warrior had never once encountered an individual who has told him not to worry about repaying a debt. He’s be lying if he didn’t say that this encounter was…interesting to say the least. This shifter certainly was showing to be an interesting one to say the least…
Aemon was then distracted by the sudden scent of beef stew with bread as Emma approached them, setting the rather appetising meal, as well as some tea down on the table. It was just the right portion and it looked and smelled wonderful, the heavenly aroma invading Aemon’s sense whether he wanted it to or not. Before he eat, he turned to Emma and spoke, in his weak yet oddly stoic voice, “I am grateful.” bowing his head in respect. He may not have been used to this situation, but he knew his manners and it would be very impolite not to show appreciation to these people who had, out of the blue, decided to help him. As soon as that was said, Aemon wasted no time in helping himself to the food he had been given. He eat slowly so as not to use too much of the strength he had remaining, he would need that for sleeping and recovering. As he ate, he listened attentively to Gin and Emma’s conversation about a set of new clothes for Aemon. Gin’s question had caused Aemon to pause and take a modest sip of the tavern’s delicious tea before he started to ponder an answer to the question he was given. Either this was a dream or an extremely lucky day. First shelter, then a room, then medicine, then food, then a bath and now new clothes? The generosity displayed by these people was almost…overwhelmingly confusing. However, Aemon would remain himself as he came up with an answer. “I dislike putting people at inconvenience…however…I suppose a bath with a new set of clothes would be nice… he spoke looking over his damaged robe and light armour he wore underneath. He looked towards Gin and Emma as he awaited their answer.
