"I've seen that before, show me something else," she declared, starting to make her way down the left group of stones. She slid her shoulder against the one just at the left of the center stone.

That's it! Then maybe....
Sea of Butterflies starts weaving between the stones in a figure eight pattern, trying to get a better look at things, and letting his haunch drag against each stone in turn. He starts from the center, working his way left.

Underneath jumped off her stone, tails curling in thought. "We could try it? " She said, looking at the stone. "You jump onto the stone and then I jump onto it?" She questioned.

Maxx D x She slid her shoulder against the one just at the left of the center stone. The rock immediately to the left of the center stone begins to glow red instead of yellow when her shoulder touches it. Ishtadaal Sea of Butterflies starts weaving between the stones in a figure eight pattern, trying to get a better look at things, and letting his haunch drag against each stone in turn. He starts from the center, working his way left. Nothing happens as he drags along the stones, no matter which ones he touches or in what order.

Beauty continued stoically and methodically, rubbing against all the rocks down the line, in order, to the furthest stone on the left, determined to check this theory. If the obelisk was going to be partial to the one touch, she was going to make it worthwhile.

Underneath frowned and trotted to the far side of the right. Well perhaps she should start with what she began with. She ran, and jumped , just touching down on the far right stone and sprung towards the second one.

Nothing of interest happens as she runs and jumps, no matter which stones she touches or in what order.

Beauty Past Compare squinted at the line of red stones, and squinted up at the obelisk. With a soundless word of prayer, she dramatically (but quickly) trots to the center stone, and taps it again with an air of caution.

Maxx D Beauty Past Compare squinted at the line of red stones, and squinted up at the obelisk. With a soundless word of prayer, she dramatically (but quickly) trots to the center stone, and taps it again with an air of caution. When she touches the center stone, it immediately stops glowing. At the same time, the two leftmost stones in the right group begin to glow a steady white color. The Obelisk does not dim. For a few minutes, nothing that anyone in the area does has any significant effect at all on anything in the vicinity. Then, the five stones to the left and the two stones on the right all stop glowing. The Obelisk itself continues to glow, but it does not dim.

"Why not jump on the center stone several times before trying to light the other stones? Maybe one jump on the marked stone for every unmarked stone?" Ochre calls to the group, having watched the procedings from her spot by Mirage.

Rouge, who had migrated over to the Obelisk for observation after vacating the puzzle, was getting quite excited over the rotund Acha's progress, doing a little jig before the massive stone. "Go on, then, go on!" she hollered, even though she had been irrelevant for quite a long time now, "we can do it, I know we can!"

" So," Beauty muses, loudly, "it is to be war between us." She raises her head and explains her findings to their companions: "The Obelisk's stones, I have found for now, seems to only acknowledge one kin at a time. The kin must start by tapping the center stone, then contact," she emphasised this rather sensually, "themselves against specific glowing stones on the left. Upon lighting it red, tap the center stone once more to witness your selection's effect on the right group of stones." "So far," good thing she was a singer, it was an awful lot to project in the middle of the desert, "we have found that no left stones selected results in the first right stone, closest to the center stone, lighting up. Selecting all the stones on the left, after the second tap on the center stone, results in the first and second right stones lighting up. I urge you to experiment with one left stone at a time, then a combination when you find out which stones on the left light up which stones on the right. Now, let's go!"

Sea of Butterflies nodded. "I'll take the leftmost first!" He declared, moving to nose the center stone, then trotting over to brush the leftmost before touching the center stone again.

Unfortunately, nothing happens either when he first touches the center stone, or any subsequent stones. It looks like someone else will need to try something.
