Ezra was, well, a very nervous ball of Grimm. So many THINGS were changing. Daydreams were going to the school now, and even new races have appeared out of NOWHERE. Ok, they came from somewhere but still, it was all happening so fast and as a pup who didn't handle change very well, even if it didn't directly involve him, it was a nerve wracking time.
He had come to the festival, in parts to get his mind off all the change, and in part letting his curiosity meet some of these changes. If he got to know them, he'd be more comfortable around them, right?
He moved himself over to a bean bag toss to give himself something to do. He got all the bags into the target, so the booth owner gave him...a snakey thing. He had never seen one of these snakey things before, but it seemed nice as it lazily wrapped itself around one of his wrists.
Aino wasn't sure why she had come to this thing. She hated crowded places. It meant more people to stare at her ugly gross one eyed face. She did see a lot of fun games to play though, but they all had people watching over them to give out the prizes, which means she needed to be seen.
After a while, she mustered up the courage to play a fishing game with magnets on the string and metal on the paper fish that were coated with hearts. She missed her first try, but wanted to try again
Falaya stared at the booth with wide eyes. They were silent as they stared, to the point where it was starting to give the booth handler a very uneasy feeling. The squirming made Fal grin a bit.
"I'd likka flower please," they said, their voice soft and sweet. "The blue'n, if you don't mind." The booth person smiled and grabbed a flower and handed it to them.
"Thankya~" they cooed as they looked at their new thingy.
Omid wandered the festival, not really paying attention to what was going on around him. This was his first real social thing he had done since his friend had contacted him about her less then healthy thoughts about herself. He had been helping her through all of it, accompanying her to therapy lessons and making sure she was safe. She recently graduated the academy though, and while they kept in touch, she was now more on her own, which left Omid with more time on his hands.
He played one of the festival games, the one where you toss small balls into small buckets. He missed, so no prize was meant for him.
Cimara nodded "Ah yes that's night, your race has only been in this area for what a year now?? Or do you mean since you, yourself moved here?? What was your homeland like??" Cim asked interested in things he didn't know. He knew so little about Nixie's besides that they liked water. Cimara nodded "When Natsumi is old enough I will send my little one to you, to teach to swim, I do not wish them to be lacking in any part of their education, including knowing how to swim." Cimara nodded "Thank you Aqua, I already have a wisp at home, perhaps I won't buy any more for now." Cim watched the child bistoy a gift on Aqua and hoped Natsumi would care for him, like Aqua's students cared for her.
"Does it?" he asked, eyeing the winged rat and picking up a paper slip of his own. "Let me at least give you... this in return." Shef held out the prize he was handed without looking at it, swallowing once when he saw what he had won. At least it wasn't a flower.
"If you want it, that is. I, for one, am having a ball so far." Wow, that had sounded sarcastic. He cleared his throat, taking the plush she had offered him and smiling slightly. He didn't dare tell her what he had been up to lately, not until his efforts bore fruit and he no longer felt he might back out.
"I didn't come with everyone else at first," She explained, looking at her skin that she knew would need to get some salve on some time today. That was one thing she had to figure out sooner or later, how to keep her skin wet in this environment as to not ruin it. Sure salve worked, but she could never figure out the right time to use it ", I went to get some official education first at Grendel. I was told if I went there that I could then become a teacher. So I decided to get that out of the way as soon as possible. Then I came here, and have been trying to get used to all the changes. I'm not used to not having water being around me all the time unless I'm at the pool. I used to live in one of the underwater cities, so I was always surrounded by water. Much different than here. I even get a little homesick from time to time. However, these festivals do help me feel at home quite a bit. They kind of remind me of all the social gatherings we did back home. Not exactly like them, but they remind me of such things t the very least."
At the mentioning of letting Natsumi be in her class, Aqua'glow couldn't help but smile gleefully. New students always got her excited ", I would be very pleased to have Natsumi as a student of mine when they are old enough. I view swimming as an important skill to have, even if you do not swim that often. I wouldn't even mind you coming in from time to time as well."
Jezebeth felt the clush creep back on to her face when Eno mentioned the flowers again. She held them close to her chest and in a way used them to cover the blush that was there. "Of course I like them, they're from you." It wasn't just because they were flowers that she liked them. In fact she'd been given a ton of flowers in her life. You tell someone you're into nature, running around outside, and suddenly everyone thinks to gift you flowers. But because this was from Eno, that was what made it so special and awesome.
The little jackalope that trotted up to them was definitely a cutie. She couldn't help but smile down at the small familiar. She collected skyfish herself, but that didn't mean she didn't like other familiars. She just happened to have big dreams of maintaining a lovely garden for her Skyfish to roam in. "They're cute!" Jezebeth looked around the crowd for something to do next and spotted the booth handing out the free treats. "Those brownies over there look great! Why don't we sit down for a bit?"
Conan could already picture the smug look on his sister's face if Cherubi were to pay her a compliment. He'd never be able to live it down if she did. It was enough that he went to her for help in the first place, sometimes she was just too much of a hassle. Still, he was definitely thankful for her help regardless. Impressing Cherubi would probably be impossible without it.
Well, on to the flowers then! Thankfully Cherubi didn't seem too weirded out by the proposal, so far so good. He noticed the little glance down and instantly caught on to what she wanted. They had held hands before, at the mall. Still, this was more than just some small adventure out to the mall. This was a day of risks though and he gently took her hand in his and lead her over to the flowers.
"I'd really like to get you the red ones. They...suit you." Everyone knew what red roses meant, they certainly weren't something that you just gave to a friend. He picked out the best looking bouquet and, after stepping away from the booth a bit, he presented them to the Chimera. "These are for the coolest, cutest, most talented girl that I know." For once he managed to say it out loud with a blush on his face and all without stuttering to! There ya go Conan, that's how you woo a lady!
Eilwen was happy that her hug seemed to do the trick, she couldn't help but be a bit worried about it since she was so hesitant when it came to contact with others in that fashion. She was better with words when it came to expressing her gratitude. Shortly after the hug Fakir spring into action. She was never as quick to get excited during these things as others, it seemed like she was always the one getting dragged along by someone.
Their hands touched just briefly, encouraging her to tag along with him. "That sounds like fun, lead the way!" She was definitely a fan of accessorizing and it was quite obvious that Fakir was as well. She could probably find something there that would make the perfect gift for the pastel colored Fallen. She followed along after him, though at the thought of skipping along with him she just felt a bit embarrassed. Skip? In front of all these people? She had a feeling people would laugh at her....At least Fakir seemed to be enjoying himself.
There were several options at the booth, ranging from small rings to lockets. She looked them over carefully, the rings were pretty cute. A pink one caught her attention like it was flashing "Fakir would totally love this, this is for Fakir". She delicately picked it up and held it out toward her friend.
"Would this one fit you? I definitely think it suits you." She had a small smile on her face as she led it out so that Fakir could test it's fit.
Gadriel didn't mind Nimue's stutter at all, in fact he rather liked it. It was really cute. Hearing their voice at all was like music to his ears. Nimue might not know it, but they had a really adorable voice, had genuinely good interests, and all in all was actually quite the fun individual to spend time with. Gadriel knew that they could have more friends if they put themself out there, but then other people would notice how adorable they were and was it so bad of him to want to horde all of his adorable 'friends' attention? Probably, but of well!
"Thanks! I actually really enjoy this time of year because I can get away with wearing a sweater all the time!" Once it started to get warm outside in the Spring he could no longer afford to wear his favorite form of attire. He took a lot around the festival then, what should they do first? The crowds weren't nearly as bad as they were at the Winter Solstice, so they could enjoy more of the activities this time around for sure.
"How about we try out luck at some of the games?" Call it the kid in him, but Gadriel actually really enjoyed carnival-style games. And despite never really being a pro, he was actually pretty good at throwing a ball into a basket ball hoop! He spotted just the perfect game to show of some of his skills and score himself a cute little plushie while he was at it. It was probably his height that gave him such an advantage.

"Oh," Enoukn replied, a blush coming to his own face as well, and his lips curling up into a smile. Those unfamiliar with the normally sour faced junior would have probably thought he was being insincere, but those who knew him well (that being Jezebeth mainly) would know that his smiles were always sincere.
"I uhm... would like that yeah... the sitting down I mean." He said nodding over at what he hoped would be a more quiet place to sit. "I would... like to spend more time with you... alone, later... if we could?"
His face heated up then, his blush growing more. "Un-unless you are busy, that is..." His hand squeezed hers a bit more. The Jackalope ended up on his shoulder, for lack of any better place to put it, so hopefully it would stay there.
On his way by the booth with the brownies, he stopped and snagged what appeared to be a free bracelet from one of the booths, he handed it to Jezebeth, his face growing even more warm as the blush continued to spread. "H-here..."
Poor little Liath had once again not won anything. It was a sad festival for the little baby. As if missing his mother on this day full of love wasn't enough. Was the world punishing him for something he did? What ever could the little goblin had done to earn such a day. The more he watched others win the more distraught he became deciding to sulk in a corner rather than get his hopes up any more. He silently cursed this festival for making him feel so gloomy, not that it was far off of his everyday scowl. Nor unlike the rain clouds always above his head had grown any bigger, it just seemed to be more apparent to him now.

Aren was finally starting to feel much more comfortable in his skin he even took the time to play a little game. To which he won, looking down at all the prospective prizes he decided to get a plushie, sure he may be a little old but to be honest he still had a fondness of plushies. They were comforting to him. Though he knew he had to keep it a secret so he decided if anyone asked he would like and make up a significant other, that shouldn't be too hard should it? He picked up the red vespercat plushie and tucked it into the nook of his arm then stood back away from the crowd once more. That was when he saw the Chimera approaching him, when the other raised his hand to wave Aren looked around nervously hoping that maybe it was someone behind him that the other was moving toward. Though once the Chimera spoke to him it was certain that Aren had been the person if interest. "Uh, not really..." he paused for and awkwardly long time. "Why would you say that?" Did he looks as out of place as he felt? Just when he was beginning to think that he looked normal.
Daimhin was sitting with her new familar looking at it oddly. She was trying to think of a name that would suit it appropriate. "I don't even know if you are a boy or a girl!" She was certainly not going to check. Perhaps it was neither, she decided that she would pick a name that wouldn't give of femininity nor masculinity. "Alexx, How do you like that name?" of course the cat said nothing and continued on purring. "I suppose Alexx will do for now, unless you seem to detest the name then we might come up with something new." She nodded, she often had one sided convorsations like this.
