"I have sir." Ashley tilted his head, staring at the communicator as he paused outside the doors to the pokemon center. There was a delay and he frowned, tapping his foot a bit impatiently. "Well?" He remarked, agitation his tone. The screen spazzed briefly and soon a small map of the region appeared with markers for certain areas.
"I apologize sir. The map was hard to acquire." Octave apologized. Ashley just ‘hmph’ed clearly not accepting of the apology. He should spend some time attempting to update the Porygon2’s system and make sure that he was running at optimal efficiency. The Porygon2 after all, was responsible for assisting him in monitoring the security systems when the French man couldn’t keep his eyes glued to a screen. Even a few seconds of delay could be a disaster though and so it was important to correct that as soon as possible.

Ashley took a moment to study the map that Octave had produced. It appeared that in Kalos alone, there were several destinations nearby that were involved in the egg hunt. Interesting how he’d managed to miss this until now; he was fairly certain Geosenge Town, for example, had been rather empty upon his passing through. "Hm… there are several areas close by it appears." The screen spazzed a bit again, "Yes sir. The closest area would be Geosenge." The screen shimmered again. "There is a rider pager available for transportation sir. I’ve connected to that network to summon them as needed."
Ashley quirked an eyebrow. Well now that was a convenient feature; which made him wonder why Octave had failed to mention it earlier. Or maybe the information had just come in along with the other information on the event. He had to keep in mind the slowness and have faith (at least for the time being) that Octave was not downloading hazardous materials to his devices. Actually… he’d probably be checking that soon.

"Very well. We shall start there then." Ashley remarked. "It would be quickest to take this rider, non? If you could place ze call Octave." Ashley remarked. The screen flickered to life and the map was quickly replaced with a dialer screen. There appeared to be a set number frequency already in place and the French man watched as it was initiated. It blinked a few times and Ashley dropped his arm back down to his side. He didn’t know how long it would take this rider to come along so it did him no good to simply stand there staring at the device as though it would speed them along.

Despite all the technical slowness that Octave had displayed so far, it appeared that didn’t present an issue when summoning the rider. It wasn’t long before Ashley was squinting against a kick up of wind, a large Charizard landing with an unceremonious thud just a few feet away with a rather fit looking young woman on its back. The young woman pulled up her goggles, grinning widely at Ashley to catch his attention.
”Hi there! Looking for a lift?” She remarked as she slid off the lizard’s back temporarily, brushing her hands off. Ashley eyed the pair a moment curiously, eyebrow quirked before he gave a curt nod. "Oui madam. I take you are assisting with ze egg hunt?" Ashley inquired. The young woman looked a bit caught off guard by the accent and then looked further confused as she took the time to study him. Finally, her head gave a slow nod of recognition.
”Ah… yes, I am. Name’s Lizzie. Where are you looking to go first…?” She asked, tone wavering some. She seemed honestly confused. Ashley didn’t think much of it, adjusting his glasses and heading closer to the pair. He gave her a bow in greeting, to find his manners once more before eyeing the Charizard. "Geosenge Town, s'il vous plait." Lizzie just nodded, moving and ushering for him to climb up, surprised that he didn’t seem to struggle with all that he was carrying before joining him, kicking the Charziard into flight and heading for their first destination.

By the time Lysander made his way out of Reflection Cave, Heather was already several lengths ahead and quickly gaining speed; honestly, she was acting as if Cadenza was dying. He took his time making his way into the city, not intent on jostling Umbreon or making a big a deal out of their situation like his sister, and when he arrived he made sure to make his first stop the Pokémon Center. As to be expected Heather was already there, and waiting patiently for Nurse Joy to finish up with Cadenza. "So, what's the verdict?" he asked as he stepped up to her, gently rocking Umbreon in his arms. "Are they going to have to amputate a leg?" Heather pressed her lips together, fighting between both a smile and a frown. Eventually she chose to roll her eyes and look unamused, "hah, hah, hah. Very funny," she muttered. Lysander smirked, "thank you, I've always thought myself a comedian." Heather snorted and shook her head, "well, don't quit your day job." She took a moment to calm herself. "He'll be fine." If he could, Lysander would have raised his hands to the ceiling. "Hallelujah, it's a miracle."

Heather frowned, unamused by her brother's remark, but eventually she relaxed back against the wall. Though Cadenza was alright, it would still take a few minutes for Nurse Joy to return with him, and so to pass the time she pulled out the egg poster to try and locate their next destination. "Okay, the next place we need to head to is Laverre," she listed, then removed her phone and began tapping away. "Which means, from here, we head to Coumarine City, then through North Lumoise." Lysander groaned, the idea of walking through two more cities just to get to their destination unappealing, and downright tiring to him. "Yeah, no. We're not doing that," he stated decisively, and before Heather could question what he meant by that he marched up to the front counter, Umbreon still resting comfortably in his arms.
Lysander managed to remain patient, despite his original disgruntlement, and tapped his foot as he waited for Nurse Joy to return. When she did, however, he sprung into his questions, bombarding her. "Is there anyway for those participating in this egg hunt to get around easier?" he inquired. The pink-haired woman blinked, pausing in her response just long enough to hand Heather back her pokeball. "Why... yes," she answered hesitantly, drawing herself back afterwards to gather herself and her thoughts. "Trainers who have three or more badges are offered a ride pager, which allows them the chance to call on one of the Event Pokémon and fly to a destination." Nurse Joy, flashing her characteristic smile, faltered when she noticed the man's scowl; that certainly wasn't the reaction she had expected.

Nurse Joy's answer left Lysander stewing, and while he wasn't aware of it he was displaying quite the hostile expression. Eventually, with a smack of his lips, he turned to Heather momentarily, "I'll be back." Moving with purpose, Lysander left the Pokémon Center without another word, and in his wake left behind a confused Heather. But he was a man on a mission, and he was determined to get everything order. Because he was not, repeat not, going to walk all across of Kalos just for a few eggs, and if there was another, more convenient, way of transportation then he would find a way to obtain it.
Umbreon, who up until this point had been a rather silent weight, tilted her head up to stare curiously at Lysander. The man looked down in return, offered a smile, only for both to look to the left as a flash of color ran past them. The redhead frowned and stopped in his tracks, taking a cursory glance around them. "Did you see that?" he muttered, and Umbreon nodded before jumping out of his arms and landing on the ground, careful to keep her injured paw in the air. She made a slow circle around Lysander, graceful despite being on three paws, with all her senses on her alert. Eventually, she sat down on her haunches and relaxed her body, whatever had been there was gone now.
Lysander huffed, unsure of how to interpret what had just occurred, but subconsciously took the moment as a chance to massage his forearms to try and relieve his muscles. "You know, you're pretty heavy," he reported, only to crack a grin as Umbreon huffed in disagreement. "I don't think you get much of a say in this, considering I'm the one who's carrying you." When he heard himself laugh he stopped himself, mentally reflecting on his actions. Was he... having a full conversation... with a pokemon? Geez... what was he becoming?

Meanwhile, back at the Pokémon Center, Heather sat in a lobby chair, Cadenza in her arms and Amp playing with her untied shoelace, rather confused as she waited for her brother to return. He seemed to have a plan, which she could only assume sprouted from their need for a third badge, but what exactly that was she was unsure. Still, she trusted him. Enough to wait around for him to return from... wherever it was he'd run off to in such a hurry.
Her patience was rewarded, five minutes later, when Lysander stepped back into the Center, a plastic bag held in his hands. Joining his sister, the first thing the male did was set Umbreon gently down into a chair and make sure she was settled in before he turned to his sister. "Welcome back," Heather greeted, to which he grunted in response. "I've got us some stuff," he announced, already digging in his bag to pull out his purchases. "This is a Lucky Egg. It apparently helps with training? At least, that's what the store clerk said." The redhead held up an egg-shaped object, turning it in the light before he handed it to Heather, who inspected it curiously. "Then there's this candle? Figured we'd give it to either Bass or Legato, since it apparently only works with certain types," he explained, and like the egg handed it over to his sister.
"The last thing I got was this.... incense. It's supposed to attract a certain type. So, I figure that's what we'll use to train; have the pokemon come to us, instead of going to them. It'll save us time." Rather proud of his purchases, Lysander looked down to his sister for his opinion. Heather, after looking the two she hand in her hands, beamed up at Lysander after a moment. "You're so cool, Lys~ Taking initiative like this!" she gushed. "Tch.." He smacked his lips, shook his head, and shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah... whatever," he finally responded, but was unable to fight a smile. "Let's just get ready to go, alright. I want to get this badge as soon as we can." With a laugh, Heather nodded and put the items in her hand away, for the time being, before picking Cadenza up and standing to her feet.

Lysander led the way out of the Pokémon Center, and while he wasn't exactly sure where his destination was he at least knew of the desired spot, an open area that would give them the chance to battle as many pokemon as they could. Eventually, the redhead found such location and once he'd assured that they were alone, he set Umbreon down onto the ground before he turned to Heather. "Ready to start this?" he asked, and she nodded before producing the incense from her bag, as well as the other two. "I figure we can give the candle to Legato?" Heather suggested, and once Lysander shrugged, his nonverbal version of agreement, she released the pokemon. Her eyes widened in surprise, however, as she looked down at her Popplio turned Brionne. "When did you evolve!?" she asked, mouth agape.
While she got over her surprise, Lysander released Girafarig and handed her the Lucky Egg he'd bought earlier. "This oughta do you some good," he mused, rubbing the top of her head as she whinnied softly, appreciative of the item and the affection. There was no use in wasting anymore time, they were on something of a deadline, and so Lysander worked to light the incense. Immediately the air around them was tainted with the, strong, mixed scent of candy and flowers, rather off-putting to the male and he wrinkled his nose; it wasn't as if it was a bad per say, it was just intense. Thankfully, the incense wasn't meant to attract him, but fairies, and true to its name a group of Carbink soon emerged and began floating towards the group.

Lysander's head whipped to stare at Legato, the producer of the large torrent of water that had completely washed away the first Carbink. "Uhh..." Turning to Heather, he found that she was just as speechless as him -- neither had expected such initiative from the water-type. Heather was the first to recover, and with a mighty cheer she broke out into a smattering of applause. "Alright, Legato! Let's keep it up!" she encouraged, then pointed decidedly at the next Carbink who, along with the rest of its group, was steadily advancing. They were really attracted to that smell, weren't they?

While initially recoiling at the contact, Umbreon eventually relaxed before she regarded the cub by her side. "Hello... Amp, was it?" The Shinx nodded firmly, tail quivering now. "Yeah!
