Alec was close to giving up with actually having people pet, or touch his head in a patting fashion. He was easily one of the shortest boys here. He closed one eye glancing up at Cyril. "I know, thanks Cyril." he lightly shoo'd at the hand, not trying very hard smiling amiably at the other.

At Farvardin's arrival the boy beamed at the older girl. "I got 3/4 on my marks. Not too bad!" The teen looked fairly pleased with himself. "I think I'm going to join the ox-carts and dress up with my sister and ma."

At this he looked back at Lloren. "Yea, I'm Alec." he tapped at his name, the only thing easy for him to recognize on the paper. "The carts for me, I can sit with Ashley and throw flowers at peoples faces." An easy task for a 6 year old mind you. He grinned laughing some, choosing to be lazy and bounce around dressed up as some animal..a squirrel or raccoon maybe?

Luckily he didn't have to worry about that.

He glanced back at Nik and signaled him to come closer so he could have his chance at asking. "Everyone's kinda working on getting settled right now." Alec confirmed to those whom had come within ear shot of them.

At the sound of Favardin’s voice Nik turned around and directed a friendly smile at her. “Glad to see you made it after all Ms. Favardin. I myself was only able to partake in one of the events, but it went…er..well?” He glanced briefly at Alec before listening to what position he had chosen for himself. The image of the vibrant young redhead sitting with his family caused him to grin, especially at the mention of tossing flowers. Somehow, seeing Alec in that roll did not take too terribly much imagination.

Stepping forward at Alec’s prodding he cleared his throat and politely addressed the woman with the list. “Pardon me, I am not sure what all I can do but…I would very much like an assignment.” At hearing the choices Alec was given he was once again saddened that he had missed the dancing. If there was one thing a noble from behind wall Sina could do properly, it was dance. Despite that, he had managed to drag a bag of dirt so he was not about to give up now. "My name is Nikolaus Windsor." He added as an afterthought.

He smiled at Alec after the thanks.

He came back to the group after getting a quick (or many) drinks of water. As he came back he spotted Farvardin giving him a wave. Cyril swallowed the water he had in his mouth with the big gulp as hey waved back giving her his signature smile. "Hey!" He exclaimed.

He turned to Lloren "So what jobs do you need help with?" he asked.

At the booth, Lenore breathed heavily, trying her hardest to catch her breath. Come to think of it, aside from the marching that Zin had mentioned, Lenore had no idea what was taking place in the parade. "Uhm.... I don't know what I'm able to do, but I'm supposed to be in the parade, as per the manager's orders." She swallowed before continuing. "Is there something I'm suited for...?"

"Guns?" What did w have to do with- "Oho! That is some impressive muscle. I see why you don't shy from hiding it! And also where that talk od sparring came from, if memory serves." As expected of my Daughter-That-Could-Have-Been! He'd had the tact today not to say it, but it was written all over his face.

In Saga's case, there was not much that he could show. With that small degree of extra pudge smoothing out his muscle definition, the marshal tended to look well-fed rather than definitively muscular- but the muscles hidden were of size, and he had strength to spare. The military police graduated at the tops of their classes, and part of Saga's grade had been for athletic prowess. Not that he was thinking about any of that, too distracted by Preacher as it were.

He nodded at her decision to stay with security.
"Clearly, you are blessed both with strength and perseverence. Pray tell, have you ever considered joining the military? Their work much resembles that which you do for this parade, and the employment is a stable one." He tugged on his sleeve where Preacher's armband would be. If she said yes, he could sponsor her entry.

Upon being asked how long he'd known Lloren, he tapped his chin, remembering. "Not long. She's my long-lost cousin, taken away from our family by a band of wolfmen. When we heard she signed up for military, my aunt and uncle sent me right over. Finally, they shall be reunited!" He postured dramatically, clenching his fist. "Alas, we must get her back to them by midnight, or they will succumb to a terrible curse cast upon them by the titans."

He grinned, proud of his dumb story. In fact, he had been assigned to Shinganshina for the festival, and she had volunteered- but the two were from different years and places altogether. He knew less of her than he knew of Preacher at this point.

Song and dance [X] Criteria: Danced consistently, would look good in uniform
Decorated barge [ ] Criteria: Made it to the end of the circuit without notable exhaustion
Costume Parade [X] Criteria: None, any will do.

"Seems they liked your dancing. So, would you like to join the Song and Dance, or costume parade?" Lloren asked.

Lloren sipped her glass of pilfered water, noting the sweat. She'd been rooting for those two girls because teamwork really wasn't what that dirtbag test had been about. Yesss. Defy all reason. Conquer reality!

"All riiight! I'll see you there then." The frizzy-haired trainee said, scribbling her name down on a list and then lifting her fist for a fistpump, looking Zin in the eye with complicity. Don't leave me hanging now.
