The two at the bottom of the stairs hadn't moved as far as Chariklo could tell. But now she could hear their voices echoing back at her. Really, was everything out to ruin her night right now? Wasn't it bad enough that her Princess and friend was out there somewhere and Chariklo had no idea if she was trapped or hurt?
Equally bad that the aura she'd wanted most to pin down and beat the owner of senseless had vanished completely. Growling deep in her throat, she thundered down the remaining stairs, she was just in time to see a guy apparently throttling a girl. Fan-flipping-tastic. Letting frustration and fear make its way into her voice, she charged the pair, hands out with every intent to grab the dude and toss him out of her way.
"Don't you ******** listen? I have a Princess to save and thanks to you two, I can't even curb-stomp an a*****e, murdering General! Get. Out. Of. My. WAY!" she was nearly howling as she enunciated the last few words, fingers ready to close on the fabric of the male's collar and waist.
If these two hadn't slowed her down... if the fires hadn't slowed her down, she might have been in time to take a little revenge. Well, if she couldn't tackle on the the Negaverse's big bads, this guy would have to do in the interim.

Sarras is in the staircase.
She tried to argue with him, but the words had nothing to do with his question, so he applied just a little more pressure. Just a little more pressure, he told himself, as he reeled her back and slammed her against the door again. The other Chaotic aura was quickly approaching, he didn't have time to hear her pathetic excuses. Who the hell thought about school assignments when there was a war going on? She clawed at his hand but it did her little good.
"Answer me! What's the Negaverse need with those crystals!" Sarras shouted, just as the other Chaos aura reached them, and her shout almost caused the Cosmos page to jump. He wasn't so much appalled by her language, but he was surprised that she didn't just outright attack them both. She was definitely stronger than him, as much as he was ashamed to admit it, and she had every right to strike them down if they were in her way. It was more of her reasoning for them to move than fear of her that finally caused him to move, and with his fingers still wrapped tightly around her throat, he threw the lieutenant to the side of the staircase, releasing her at long last and stepping aside for Chariklo. "You know, sayin' 'please' is more attractive..."
He moved towards Antimonite, cracking his knuckles and calling to her with a sneer, throwing down an empty, and needless, threat. "Alright, what bones should I break to make you talk?"

Canopus is on the second floor, but not for long!
In their mad flee to escape Gunn's wrath, they had managed to lose her, but there was still little cause for them to relax. They were out of one frying pan and simply jumped into another, and Canopus would have been content to just keep on running, but the heavy smoke from the second floor was proving too much for both of them. It was just too much! Astarte's cry was echoing in her mind, and any thought of rushing past the flames and smoke to find her princess was gone from her mind.
Princess Leto was strong and had allies among the Negaverse still, she would have to help herself. Right now, she had to help Astarte, and now, it was her turn to pull her friend along. There usually was a restroom near the stairs, and if there was a restroom, there'd be a mirror. Surely, she could pull Astarte through it, or in the very least escape through the window. They had to get out of there, and most restrooms to her knowledge had mirrors. It wasn't much, but it was something. "Come on! We're getting out of here..."
'I'm sorry, my princess... I hope you're alright.'
To their luck, there was a small restroom attached to the staircase, likely meant for the janitor or poor design choice, but it had worked in their favor. She kicked at the door until it opened and to their luck, there was a mirror above the sink, and a window, leading to freedom and the outside world, a safe alternative for Astarte if Canopus could not pull her friend through the mirror. She climbed onto the sink and pressed a hand through the mirror, but she didn't retreat completely just yet. She looked back at Astarte, her voice slightly less raspy thanks to the smoke not having reached the bathroom just yet as she addressed her. "Th-thank you, for everything... if... if you ever need my help, for anything, let me know. You're always welcomed in my court..."
Maybe that was going too far and assumed too much, but she did not recall Remarque or Leto ever stating otherwise. She slipped through the mirror, assuming that Astarte would either grab onto her extended hand or her clothing to follow after her, or she would take the window. She hoped, not only for her princess's safety, but Astarte's as well. She'd never forgive herself if Astarte was hurt like Avior was...

Ashur is on the third floor, by the stairs.
"So do I, one of them being y--" he stopped short when he felt a small impact coming from just in front of her. Ash winced, knowing what probably just happened, and tried to hold his grip as the both of them were held up, but with gravity and her efforts working against him he was forced off. He landed none-too-gently and was about ready to aim a solid punch at the captain when, without warning, he dropped Themi and was on his knees.
And Ashur watched as Themiscyra kinda-sorta pummeled the captain further into the ground, suddenly feeling pretty damn great for some reason (though he was pretty sure it wasn't because of what he was watching). Even the pain from the various injuries on his body ebbed slightly. Curiosity had gotten the better of his attention, and he actually zoned out for a second to try and pinpoint the cause of it. At Themi's word, though, he blinked back into the present, stepped over the captain, and followed her down the stairs after sidestepping both the large lieutenant and another knight nearby.
Ashur hadn't even started to process whatever it was that Jarosite said about another Rift and some other serious-sounding business before crumpling to the ground earlier when they reached the bottom of those steps, but what they walked into had him gaping.
"What the.." he started, but cut himself off when she spoke and nodded his agreement. "Yep, I second that motion," he muttered before turning around to head back up the stairs. "That being the priority, by the way," he started, flicking the back of his hand against her shoulder. "If he's still lying there and you actually stop and try beat him to death in that fire, I'm gonna drag you the rest of the way up."

Chariklo is exiting the staircase onto the bottom floor
Before her fingers could connect, the male shoved the girl out of the way and followed, leaving the door free and clear. And as he threw out the little zing about saying 'please', Chariklo paused just long enough to give him an incredulous stare before sliding her furious eyes to the clearly-the-worse-for-wear Negaverse officer and frowning for about half a second in pity.
"Right, because sayin' please so clearly helped to keep you from torturing a little girl," she spat out and reared back to kick the door open, managing to hear the male make his threat about breaking bones. Oh, come on now. She had no love for the Negaverse but she had decency. Spinning quickly, she charged the male and threw a punch designed to make him see stars right at his sneering face. It wouldn't save the girl. But it would sure as s**t relieve some pent up aggressions.
"Idiot!" she snarled at the male before turning and rushing through the door before she could think better of it.
And once through, her eyes were already scanning the area, finally lighting on Leto and two familiar faces. With a sinking heart, she sighed before rushing towards her Princess. It just figured that her New Friends would find each other and try to fight. Great. Just great.

Mica and Vespa are on the bottom floor, but not for long.
It took much restraint not to immediately want to lash out at Valhalla when he drew close, but she was genuinely surprised when he had taken the time to retrieve her fallen weapon... and actually place it back into her hands, and the compassion he showed her might have melted her heart of ice. Considering the burning sensation she felt, the frigid ice to her starseed would have been a welcomed reprieve at least, but she was more confused with what to make of the Jupiter knight's behavior. For his compassion, she rewarded him with a verbal bite, though she didn't strike at him either with her fists or her newly retained trident even when he was well within reach. "In the future... don't waste your time."
Finally, it was easier to breathe, but Mica wasn't pushing the attack for now. Instead, she took Valhalla's advice, hearing Ganymede's appeal to her own senshi and simply having to trust Cyllene to flee, as well as these two bleeding hearts to stop their own from hurting Cyllene. It was hard to trust others to do right, but Mica had no strength to take matters into her own hands, not when everything was going straight to hell, and fast. Something had happened to Bischofite, but Mica could care less- her priority was getting Vespa and herself to safety, and the sight of other officers leaving was enough for her. Those who could not teleport out would simply have to cling to those that could, and she barked an order to Vespa, choosing to spare him from ridicule for his clumsy tumble for now. "We're leaving now. Anyone who's worth their weight in the Negaverse will find their own way. Come, Vespa."
It was not a request, but an order, and Vespa knew better than to disobey at this point. However, unlike Mica, he was not too quick to overcome the pain from Princess Iris' attack, nor the kindness shown to him by Valhalla and Ganymede. Valhalla helped him to his feet and he found his breath once more, fighting down the urge to thank him while in earshot of Mica. She seemed... oddly fine with not attacking them, but he knew better. She wasn't doing it out of the kindness of her heart or with any hopes of brokering peace between the two factions, but because she was simply being smart. She had sensed something different about the blonde haired senshi and refrained from attacking until she was certain exactly what she was dealing with. No, Mica wouldn't stand at their side... Vespa was certain of that.
But one day, maybe he could. He was not expecting either one to acknowledge him, nor was he expecting them to see the hopeful gaze in his green eyes as it would have probably given away his betrayal. Yet, the strange occurences going on prevented the Wasp from finally breaking down and confessing his intentions to them, as Bischofite's gruesome transformation drew his gaze. It was... horrifying, to say the least, and Vespa found his knees beginning to quake, threatening to send him crashing down. He had met Bischofite once, though he was a lieutenant then... he had ordered him to rip a starseed, and then eat it. He was partially responsible for his promotion. In Bischofite's mind, he had probably felt he was helping him, but Vespa could feel nothing be anger and resentment to him for what he had done. He knew nothing of the extent to how much he affected everyone around him, and he should have felt that this punishment, this transformation into something inhuman... it should have been fitting for him.
But Vespa couldn't feel that way. Did Bischofite, or anyone, deserve such a fate? Was this what laid in store for him if he remained in the Negaverse? Vespa tried to cling onto Kallichore's comforting words, Vespa tried to convince himself that he was not a monster, but... after what he had just witnessed, would he ever truly believe it? He knew one thing... he had to get Chaos out of him, and soon, or else this would become his future.
The rest was all a blur to Vespa and he felt like he was nothing more then a fly on the wall, watching but never experiencing or playing a part. Bischofite, in all of her monsterous glory, was pulled out, Avalon and Benitoite were exchanging heated words and even strikes, and somehow, Avalon had made her way towards them. She somehow reached her hand into Ganymede's chest and was rewarded with... nothing. There was no starseed because she could not pull it out, and something within Ganymede changed. There was a light, a scream- but not one of pain from Ganymede! What had the senshi done?
There was no time to theorize, as he felt Mica's hand grip his shoulder and knew it was time to go. He wanted to do more than leave this warehouse... now, more than ever, he knew...
He had to leave the Negaverse!
Without a word, they teleported in unison, leaving behind lingering chaos... another day in the life of a Negaverse officer, it seemed.

Tsui is on the bottom floor.
On a normal night Tsui would have wanted to get down and dirty with a fight and thus far she had done so with Benitoite, but it seemed that the general she tried to push by wasn't willing to let her leave without leaving his mark, as the whip wrapped around her leg and sent the Tiger senshi crashing to the ground, devoid of grace and a comfortable landing. Due to her small physique in her chest area, there was nothing to cushion her as she went down and not only could she feel her ribs bruising but her chin rattle her teeth. It wasn't enough to render her unconscious but it was definitely enough to keep her senseless, and only thanks to Serpentine's assault was she finally made aware of the crisis around her.
The officer that had taken such a beating had transformed before her eyes, but that wasn't what caused her jaw to drop. It was Benitoite's reaction. It was the heartache she saw in him, the anger and rage, and sorrow, when the deed was done, and the betrayed gaze in his eyes when he looked to the ones responsible for striking down the general struck a chord with her. What right did he have to show such concern, after what he had done to Bazzite?
The answer was... every right. He had never intended to force Bazzite into that state, and it was clear that he never intended for this to happen to another officer. It was almost heartbreaking, and had there not been a Negaverse general's whip latched to her leg, she would have tried to comfort him. She twisted around to try and free her leg, knowing that this would have been the LAST place she wanted to be, and she shouted back at the general, not noticing that his attention was elsewhere until halfway through her angered shout. "Look, I don't know what I did to piss you off so much, but if you'd just te-"
A feline moved in line of view and she spotted Liryn and his brave charge against a familiar Eternal senshi, and now, more than ever, did Tsui try and pull herself free. Liryn was attacking an Eternal, and he didn't stand a chance, and that Eternal... was someone she knew. Someone she once fought alone side... someone that had betrayed the White Moon Court and held not qualms about killing a cat.
"Liryn, don't! GET AWAY FROM HER!" Tsui shouted, not liking the situation she found herself in. On one end, there was Serpentine, someone who wanted her dead for reasons she had no idea of, and on the other, there was Liryn throwing himself in harm's way.

Ate is still on the bottom floor!
The world was starting to shake. The fire had been out of control long ago and the smoke was just as dangerous as the orange flames that licked at the walls and made paper out of the floor. The realization was hitting everyone at once. They had to escape, they had to flee. What ever plan Bischofite had dreamed up had failed and he had fled the building. Now it was everyone else's turn.
Except Ate & Athene's that is.
The girls hand still clenched tightly around his starseed as she gripped it with sharp nails, her excitement in catching hold of it palpable as she laughed. Not sweet or flitting, but hard laughter at a prize she hadn't expected to gain. She heard his words pleading, saw she recognized him from the Zoo adventure and laughed again.
"Haha, my, my, didn't I say I would find you again my sweet!" The event at the Zoo was...not her best moment having quickly been over powered by the amount of Order members showing up to help but it still grated on her that she hadn't taken one down on the night, that she hadn't taken one succulent starseed from their chest. One thing for sure was that his pleading did nothing to spike a memory into her mind or call up a friendly reminder. It got her excited for what was to come and she began to pull at his starseed, cooing at him as she whispered into his ear. "Shhhs darling shhss, you will be mine -AGHHH!" The whip of Iris lasso slashed across her shoulder and back, missing her face by mere centimeters as her head bent down to stroke his hair. The burning was like a hot iron across her bare shoulders and she screamed, her body arching back but her hand still grasping the star in his chest. It felt like she would loose her voice before she stopped screaming from the pain but the stabbing became dull and Ate tensed again, making herself push it out of her mind her eyes searching for the princess that had thrown the attack.
"IR-IS! BE WARNED, I DONT TAKE KINDLY TO INTERRUPTIONS!" and with a yank she pulled her arm out from Athene's chest, a beautiful jade star seed in her hand twinkling in the fire that surrounded them. " FOR THAT, I WILL EAT HIS SOUL!"
Pulling her head back she held the starseed over her open mouth, dangling as if it were a piece of fruit and before another moment passed, she dropped it in. It was in her nature to start laughing as she licked her lips, the starseed still held in her cheek but sheer dramatics she made a show of enjoying it taste. That was until Liryn smacked himself into her back. The force knocked her head forward and the starseed fell undignified from her mouth skidding across the floor as Ate steadied herself over Athene, Liryn claws digging into the raw skin that was on her shoulders. "AHHHGGG GET OFF!" She grabbed for him, his tiny claws racking blood tracks in her skin.

This happens on the bottom floor, but since I'm not going to have internet this weekend, we are all going to assume she uneventfully makes it out of the building.
Death. That was the sight that greeted Cybele when she opened her eyes. Cora's corpse was right beside her. She'd failed, then. Her words of warning, her magic… nothing had been enough. It was never enough. There was nothing she could do now that would be enough, either. She’d figured that out about death.
Vengeance was what she wanted now, but even that was impossible. Bischofite was bleeding out before she even managed to pull herself to her feet. Wiping the ashes and tears from her eyes, she got a better look at his attacker. Another general? That wasn’t how things were supposed to work, and as far as vengeance went, but at least he was dying and she was safe.
She winced at his screams, at the death, and hated herself for it. The blood, too. For all she was a huntress, she’d hated the idea of this. There were a few seconds where not too much happened- he just slowly sank to the floor while everyone watched. There was nothing more to be said, nothing more to be done. She had enough time, then, to think a little. This was oddly similar to their previous meeting, wasn’t it? Blood, chaos everywhere, her face stained with tears. She’d promised to kill him, then. That was another broken promise on the pile, then, but it wasn’t nearly as bitter as the one she’d made maybe an hour ago- I’ll protect you. The others probably had as much right to his life as she did… or as anyone did, really.
That youma, that monster, was the one to take action, and… possess him? Save him? She didn't really get a good look at his transformed figure before other Negaverser teleported him away, and the fighting started up again. A mix of emotions somewhat muted by her exhaustion swirled around inside her head. But… the building was still burning, and it was getting bad enough that it wasn’t safe to be here. Even Negaversers were starting to leave. Any more thinking, any more feeling, would have to wait. She coughed again. Thraen was still close to her, with another senshi, with another senshi, preparing to wipe out the Negaverse. “Don’t die… please…” she said, refusing to turn her tear stained face in their direction. Her voice was still so weak. It was more of a wish than an order. With that, she started heading towards the elevator.
Megrez had seen and heard a lot of things: the rainbow that seared the Negaverse agents, the frenzy surrounding that one general (Bischofite)... but there wasn't really time to think about it. She had this one guy (Pirisite) dogging her now, and she wouldn't dignify his invective with a response. She very narrowly dodged the blow to her side and lunged at him for a body blow, trying to force him more towards the sides of the room where the merchandise was kept. Hopefully that would lead her to something that would hit harder than a punch or an egg. Some people were fleeing, she noticed, but she had a feeling that she wouldn't get to escape unless she took care of this guy first.
((Sorry for the double quotes- forgot something.))

Antimonite is in the staircase.
The Dark aura rushing her way gave her a moment's hope. She only knew the Dark Mirror as allies, had completely missed the White Phoenix by virtue of being just that new; but she didn't live to see the owner of the aura.
When she was slammed against the door, she heard a terrible crack. Her vision went bright white and gold, but even that didn't kill her; Antimonite whimpered to herself and tried to reach for her communications crystal, to get help, any kind of help. He threw her aside, and the impact with the floor jarred her just wrong.
The threat was only empty and needless because the girl laying on the ground posed no threat any longer--if she ever had. Antimonite was gone, her uniform replaced by a pair of pale pink pajamas. Her gold hair was stained dark with the blood that spread in a glowing pool behind her, and her neck was unmistakably broken.

Cora is on the bottom floor - literally on the floor (and dying)
The general who held her starseed, who held her life in his hand spoke to her. His words brought only more agony.
"But I-," she rushed to say but her sentence was interupted by a sharp pain that left her breathless. The light left from her eyes, leaving only an empty stare. Her body fell limp, unable to feel any sensation or emotion.
Somewhere back in her mind she knew she was being used as a shield but she didn't care. Her starseed was thrown away, she didn't care. Vines pulled her down on the ground to lie on the flowerbed. An arrow of light hit her, made her stronger. A longsword hit the general near her. A rainbow arched above the warehouse, nursing her with it's soft light. A mist scented like pomegranates surrounded her.
But she didn't care.
Nothing mattered anymore.
How ironic it was for her to die while sleeping? The guardian cat of the chibi senshi of sleep was sleeping her final sleep. Her consciousness was no longer in this world, in this warehouse, in this battlefield.
Cora is seeing a dark dream
She was somewhere in very dark place. The only thing that prevented it from consuming her was a rainbow-colored circle beneath her. However, she was not alone in the darkness. There was a girl next to her, running her hand on her back with long strokes and saying something. She knew this girl very well.
It was Hypnos, her senshi.
But something was wrong. She could not feel her hand on her back. She could not hear her words. And Hypnos... she was crying.
What is it? Why you are crying, Hypnos? Here, let me help you...
Cora tilted her head and leaned forward, attempting to push her hand, to climb on her lap, to purr to her. But before her body could touch the girl, she disappeared, leaving Cora alone in the darkness.
Hypnos? Hypnos?! Where are you?!? Hypnooosss!!!
She tried to call her but no voice was heard in this dark, empty place.
Frantically she searched for her senshi in the darkness, the rainbow-colored circle beneath her following her steps. There was someone but it wasn't Hypnos. It was someone she knew though.
It was *********. With a sad look in her eyes, no usual smile on her lips. It was odd. She had never seen ********* this sad.
Hey *********! Have you seen Hypnos?! What is going on here? Why are you so sad?
Again, no voice was heard even tough she called to her friend. She pranced towards her. But before she could reach her, the tailless guardian kitty disappeared. Cora turned her head around in panic, looking for any sign of ********* or Hypnos. She couldn't see them... But there were others. Others she knew, those that she considered dear to her.
Everyone looked sad, some of them were crying. All of them disappeared when she was trying to approach them.
Why? Why you are sad! Where are you going? What is this place? What is going on?
No one answered her silent, voiceless cries.
Suddenly, without any warning, the rainbow-colored circle vanished beneath her.
And she fell into darkness.
Into silence.
Into nothingness.
There was no more light in the darkness she was in.
Somewhere in the heat of the battlefield Mauvian Cora shifted forms from the human to the cat. Her body rested on the ground, lifeless. Her starseed was ripped from her body, tossed away, lost somewhere.
Who could notice the small feline body in the midst of the battlefield?
Who could find her starseed before it's light faded out?
Time was ticking away.
Quote:
Cora would like to get her starseed back, thank you very much. <3 If anyone would like to help with that I would love you forever. <3 Her starseed was in possession of Athene last time I recall.

Thraen is on the 3rd floor
The retreat over everyone was well underway, everything happening quickly. They'd have to pick targets quickly, and act even more rapidly. Immediately near them, breaking off to attack Ganymede and some other knight were the two generals, two Corrupted. Feathers was even one of them, who he had given to Penthesilea before. She was struggling with the spear general(Benitoite), though his weapon was initially with the other corrupted (Kerberos).
I give you still to Penthesilea. That green general(avalon) is Ganymede's...as much as she seems capable of. So the General (Benitoite) as well? He is in shambles, weaponless...no. It is too close to feathers, even if it is more strategic. For now. If Penthe takes Feathers, she can handle that general. and I will not be long or far if she needs my help. I have faith in her skills, if not entirely her resolve. Here will be the proving of it.
He went for the other corrupted (Kerberos), even as the weapon in the man's hands vanished. Even as light was bursting from Ganymede. Thraen grabbed for the great swaths of blue hair to rope around his forearm- a good hold, if he managed, to haul the enemy around by.

Carnelian is getting the fook out!
Carnelian could not help but stand shock still as Bischofite, one of the many in the Negaverse he'd come to loathe, was all but devoured not only by the members he'd betrayed, but by a youma. Emerged from a cocoon of darkness and death came a wholly different creature, a thing that terrified Carnelian to his very core. Green eyes widened and he had taken several steps away from the massacre as soon as its new king had emerged, shaking his head in stunned silence. He thanked whatever gods that were listening that Euclase wasn't here to see this metamorphosis.
That sealed it - if this is what the Negaverse amounted to, what its apex was, what it expected of its members, then he wanted nothing more to do with it. He would rather die than end up like Bischofite. If he was a General and this was his fate, what was a Negaverse senshi's? What was Persephone's fate? What was his own? What was Euclase's? Alkaid's? Were they all not doomed to rot away from the inside out? Did the holes in their chests and the cracks on their skin not bother them?
Carnelian's heart pounded faster and harder than he'd ever experienced, his blood running like ice in his veins. Thick crimson boots caressed concrete as the corrupted senshi turned and watched for Serpentine. While they did not get along, Serpentine at least had some sanity in that skull of his. He was not like Bischofite - he did not kill needlessly, he did not harm with ecstatic and reckless abandon. The redhead prayed for Serpetine's safety knowing full well the General would not back down and would not abandon his post. Such was a soldier's duty. While Carnelian was a coward -- and he would never deny the label -- he wanted more than anything to survive. The young man wanted desperately to see his beloved Euclase again.
And so, closing his eyes amidst the din and monstrosity of battle, Carnelian closed his eyes and focused on this warm and inviting living room in the apartment he shared with Euclase. Chanting her name like a mantra, his body stalled for a moment from fear and anxiety before teleporting away. He didn't care who won or lost that night - he wanted nothing more to do with the war.
Themiscyra is just inside the second floor by the stairs
She'd missed what Ashur had been saying back on the second floor when the Nega had attacked her, her attention a tad snagged at the time. Nor had she attempted to mention anything about going after the man when he was down--why he was affected like that, she had no idea. But it'd been easy strikes. As it was, her teeth were gritting as she dealt with the fact she had literally kicked a man when he was down. It wasn't exactly her MO. But for all the insanity in the upper floors, Themiscyra had been lost to the events taking place even further down. When Ashur only agreed to her suggestion, she managed a dry smile to him at the flick. "...you're welcome to try," she laughed, unsure how she'd react if she saw the Captain was still there.
Not that she'd gotten the chance to find out, as she quickly realized he'd fled while they'd been on the lower floor. Without any further word, Themiscyra merely continued on, clutching her side and debating the likelihood she'd have to hit up the hospital that evening.

The queasy feeling in her stomach didn't alter in the slightest as Thetis confirmed what she'd seen. Shutting her eyes did nothing--her vision wasn't connected to her eyes in the slightest.
