GROUP BETA She didn't even have enough of a brain process to be able to process WELL HEY, THAT REALLY ******** SUCKS THAT I'M GETTING ELECTROCUTED BY WATER before she was down, barely able to feel that charred hand of hers as she made very strong attempts at keeping herself breathing.
Where was Nicodemus to coach her when she needed it?

Solomon jerked his head around when something seemed to flash by and - "s**t, where is she?" he cursed, squeezing the dagger her held in one hand.
"Aren, if that's you ******** with me this joke isn't funny."
There was a 95% chance it wasn't Aren, but he still kind of hoped it was just because that seemed safer. Carefully, he moved towards the hole, peering forward into it to see just how far it went.....

"What, this? Minor damage," he told Cass, surprised at her concern and showing some perplexity over it. She didn't even know him, so why would she care? Here he imagined Owain would have said something like you need to give people more credit than that, but he was still baffled nevertheless that his own idiocy would have prompted anything other than scorn. Especially considering this turn of events was specifically designed to make them enemies.
Jack had to wonder what was so interesting about the box that Finn wanted to keep it, but before he asked, the very Mist who had shown some concern was electrocuted before his very eyes--his body sympathized, leaving him stunned for a moment, processing the fact that there were live wires in the water. And that the walls were beginning to close in.
It was finally starting to dawn on him just how much they were the playthings of these people.
Jack snapped to it when he heard Finn shout his name and, shaking his head clear, he bent down and slipped under Cass's other arm to haul her up. he hissed. "You or someone lead the way, I don't ******** care what direction, but let's go." And at the first instance the group chose the direction he began to move forward.

Mark unfortunately had disappeared a while back but the ghost of Death Assistant past would surely have told Milo to believe in the Force, or something.

As Jack and Finn lifted Cass, the walls seemed startlingly closer thanks to the effort needed to grab her. There was a problem however with escaping. A long pool, crackling lightly most likely with electricity lay between them them the exit. It was around eight feet in distance across. The walls continued to close around them.

"Careful not to fall in," Wilson called out to Solomon. He carried a pair of daggers in his hands as he cautiously stepped toward the hole, but made sure not to be too close. He looked over to Milo. "Might want to find something soon," he said, twirling a dagger to clarify.

Obadiah cursed quietly as he came to realise the situation, and Kostya couldn't blame him. And, of course Lucky would be the one to roll his eyes. One of the strangers stuttered an answer encouraging them to move on, and it did little to assuage Kostya's existential worries.
There are two wolves, and one is stronger than the other. Cliche, but apt. Humans are not intrinsically good.
"Alliances later," he said, and chose not to acknowledge the idea that someone in a certain division could navigate better, as if the scythes on the back of Taym's coat had added a GPS device to his mind. Death was the best division, but it did not bring extra skillsets, merely fostered them.
With a blank face, Konstantin watched the girl run off, and found himself with no desire to follow her. "I am going this way," Kostya said simply, pointing in another direction, and beckoned to the remaining. Even to Lucky, because he was dreadful, but Kostya refused to stoop to the levels their captors desired.
If I am condemned to this fate, I will not cast the first stone.
Jack got his a** in gear but it seemed a bit too late as the walls closed in further, faster then Finn had anticipated, leaving them only with a path of water in front of them, one that was flickering with light and quite probably the same electricity that had downed Cass. <********. Double ******** ********.
Finn shifted his glance towards Jack, giving the other man a look. A look that said we are so ******** screwed right now if we don't do something. Then his glance shifted down to Cass, and whatever sympathy he might have had was overruled by a need to actually survive for once.
And with that, Finn let her go. He didn't just let her go, however. With the words on the cuff on his wrist in mind, he shoved her towards the water.
Only one needed to die. Not three.
He hoped Jack had the same thought.
And with a proverbial human bridge laid out in front of him, Finn without any thought or hesitation would use her body as such and jump to safety. If at all possible, of course.

It was against his instincts to have carried Cass in the first place; the only reason he had not simply flung her out into the water already had been due to the strength needed and the uncertainty of how the idea would be supported.
(And maybe, just maybe, that split second hesitation about her strange concern.)
He shared the look with Finn, both of their eyes reflecting the same grim conclusion.
Excellent. Now he was a co-conspirator rather than a lonely murderer.
Jack did not feel the stab of guilt as he too tossed Cass’s body into the water. He then followed right after Finn, attempting to use her body as a bridge to jump the gap as well.

Cass thrashed once- twice- and then was still. Her body began to sink slightly, deeper than the pool suggested. The walls continued to close in mercilessly.

The sound of someone screaming loudly suddenly pierced the silence. It was coming from the hole where Rin had been dragged into. It persisted louder now, please of help, desperate, terrible sobbing accompanied by the occasional crunch of bone and flesh.
