Skylar saw the monster grabbing Gabe in slow motion, and she was frozen at the sight. SKYLAR HELP! She heard Morgan call for her and that broke her out of her state of fear and reached forward, grabbed for Gabriel. The movies flashed over her eyes, the games, the words in the books. But...she couldn't just LEAVE him!
Then she saw it. The fresh, fleshy wound, the ripped tendon. Even if a bite didnt mean instant death, the very fact the man was unable to walk would of been a good enough reason to leave him. "I'm so sorry!" She said to Gabriel, letting Morgan pull her by her arm and tug her away. "I know, already, Morgan! Not let go of me, before we both trip!" she told him.

xxxxxMuch to Morgan's surprise, Skylar did not put up much of a fight when the decision to leave Gabriel behind was made. It seemed she was on the same page as he about this. The Sterling heir was glad. The last thing they needed was to have an argument about the morals behind leaving a man behind to be eaten. Hey, it was kill or be killed, and Morgan wasn't looking to be zombie chow. When Sky insisted he release her, he slowed down and let her go. Catching his breath, he noticed in the heat of the moment he had dropped his "weapon" in order to help Gabe... Fantastic, now their little 'body guard' was gone AND he didn't have a means of defending himself.
xxxxxLowering his head, his hand lifted to pinch the bridge of his nose between his thumb and index finger. " What the hell do we do now...?" Lifting his eyes back to Skylar, he tried to shake of his headache. "What do you suggested? Keep with the plan to fight or sneak our way to another flight of stairs?" Problem was, they didn't exactly know where there was another flight of stairs... Turning away from the girl, he looked to the wall of the hallway, then down the hall where they'd left Gabriel to his fate... His screams had stopped rather quickly... "Maybe if we can find a map somewhere or something..." Moreso speaking out loud to himself before returning to the blonde for her input.

The blonde was hesitant, standing there and biting her lip, looking int he opposite direction of where they left Gabe to perish. Find another flight of stairs and continue up, or try and fight their way down. "I dont think there is a way to fight them...Not all of them, anyways. The chances of us being bit in such close quarters would be way too high." She looked to him and then finally around. She was able to keep her weapon, though she had seemed to of forgotten about it being in her hands at that moment.
"Lets continue up, Morgan." She decided. "Go up, make it to the roof top, and just wait until morning. In the morning someone should be able to see us, an help us, right? She asked softly. Survive until morning, it certainly seemed easy enough...
