Lillian listened to Adrian and her eyebrow raised at him mentioning Noah and an ark. "Good grief... I wouldn't want that much rain... I can swim, but unless I grew fins I'd drown before the water level went down... And i don't like the sound of someone being able to manipulate weather. It's just downright unnatural..." she said as she heard Adrian mentioning that he'd not mind watching television, but he'd probably not know what was on like someone else would. Lillian gave a tiny laugh and said that she'd take him to look at her father's monstrous collection of movies, if he wanted. She wasn't sure that there'd be anything that he'd really like to watch. Although she commented that her father had near about everything imaginable in that collection and he even had multiples of some movies.{{ooc:}}

Adrian shifted, shrugging. "That sounds interesting," he said, blinking as he glanced down, noticing his fingers were unconsciously brushing the birthmark that was a few shades darker than his natural skin. He frowned slightly, never having seen it before.

Lillian looked at Adrian and then to Roxy. "Well, we could go look through the movies now if you'd like. Roxy can be a good girl and sit on the bed until we get back to my room and then we can watch whatever we pick. And if we get bored with that and if it stops raining we could go outside and just sit in the pavilion out back. Or we could go out there now and I could take my portable DVD player. Yet I'm not sure that I'd want to go outside after seeing that... thing out there." she said. She figured that Roxy and Adrian could be like detectors if something were to come creeping up on them, though she did not want to be the only one left out and unawares in a situation like that; so she was hoping that they'd be staying inside where she felt a tad bit safer. She happened to notice that Adrian was frowning at something and she glanced at the mark he was looking at. "What on earth is that?" she asked, raising an eyebrow and pointing at the mark.{{ooc:}}

Adrian exhaled slowly. "I'd like that, though from the color of the marking... I'd say it was a birthmark of some sort, though I've never seen one like this or one so detailed," he said carefully.

Lillian petted Roxy's head, hugged her and then motioned for Adrian to follow her. She knew that if anyone caught Adrian in her father's collection room alone it could potentially lead to an all out war, not really, but it would seem like one if her father had anything to say about it. "Hmm... perhaps it's because of the tattoo? You did say that she's alive or something right? Maybe she's got something to do with it being there?" she said, trying to think of how it might have gotten there.{{ooc:}}

Adrian tilted his head as he pulled up his jeans, hiding the mark. "I don't think so; KuranisÅ would give some sort of warning if that were the case... from what I sense, she didn't know about this new mark any more than we do," he said quietly as he followed her after rubbing Roxy's ears, his gaze scanning around cautiously.

Listening to Adrian, Lillian bit her lip as she mused to herself. "Maybe, just maybe, the mark was always there, but maybe something caused it to darken or something like that? I know that it may seem wierd for something to be there and you not being able to see it until know, but it could be possible, since KuranisÅ didn't know about it either? I mean I'm just spitballing here and I have no real grounds on why it's there. But perhaps we could try figuring it out?" she suggested, though she knew that they would have to do more than guess to figure out where the mark came from. So she thought that they could go to get a movie or two and they could think and discuss the matter while the movie was playing. "Come on, let's go get a movie, but Roxy'll have to stay here." she said as she walked out of her room, waiting just outside the door for Adrian.{{ooc:}}

Adrian shrugged as he followed Lillian. "That sounds like an idea, though how often would you find a birthmark that detailed?" he sighed quietly. He wasn't sure what the media room would look like, but was cautious to watch for Lillian's father.

Lillian looked over her shoulder and said, "I have no idea... I-Oh crap... Get down...!" she said, pushing Adrian behind a wall, just before they reached the media room. "Hey daddy. How was work today?" she asked her father, who was sitting on the far side of the room, working on his laptop, almost completely oblivious to everything else. "It was all right sweetie. It was just hard like usual. And there were a few of my newer clients that were a bit stranger that most... Though that's just work. Oh, and did I just hear you talking to someone, was it that boy that your mother mentioned?" he said in reply to Lillian; who was a bit nervous as she called for Adrian to come over to them. Her father looked over at where he assumed Lillian had come from and he called out, saying that it was all right for whoever it was to come out and come talk with him. This surprised Lillian, seeing as her father rarely ever talked so calmly with anyone and she just held her breath, waiting to see what would go down between her father and her new friend.{{ooc:}}

Adrian gulped when her father spoke before he slowly stood, taking a couple of steps forward to face the man. Unintentionally, he assumed a stance with his feet shoulder width apart and one hand behind his back with the other by his side.

Lillian was still standing perfectly still as she listened to her father as he started speaking to Adrian in the same calm tone he had used when calling Adrian over. "So, you're the boy that my Lillian brought home? The one that was apparently hurt in an alley?" he asked calmly as he set his laptop to the side. He told Adrian that he could sit down in one of the chairs and that he needn't think that he was going to be thrown out of the house or something. He said that he could only guess that Lillian had said that he was a bit on the 'not nice' side, but that was only when he was doing business and other than that he could be a decent man and a good father. This surprised Lillian, though she assumed that this was either a result of her catching him at the wrong times when she went to speak with her father, or that he was trying to make Adrian feel more comfortable. Either way she stayed quiet and just watched. "You know that Lillian's mother mentioned the hospital bill and all that. I guess that you're not going to be able to pay it? I'm all right with one time being paid for by me, however, if this happens again, you're going to need to pay it. And the only reason I'm not chewing you out is because if my Lillian trusts that you're a good boy then I'll trust you. But if you slip up, even in the slightest then you're not allowed on the grounds again and I will have you hauled out of here without a second thought." he said, starting to sound like the man that Lillian had always known her father to be 'I knew that he'd end up and slip up... he's never nice to me or my friends for long...' Lillian thought to herself, sighing softly.{{ooc:}}

Adrian tilted his head. "How are you at catch?" he said quietly, not moving from where he stood. He knew it would sound very unusual, though he'd found something very unusual about the quartz crystals that had been one of his arrowheads when he'd gathered them up and squeezed them. It seems that I'm somehow... changing; I know that it takes a massive amount of pressure to do what I did, much less to do.... that, he thought.

Lillian looked at Adrian completely confused when he asked her father if he was good at catch. She wanted to ask what he was doing, but she kept her mouth shut and just waited to see or hear what was going to be said or done by her father. "I'm fairly good, why do you ask?" he asked, a bit confused as to why this boy was asking him if he was good at catch. "You aren't planning on throwing anything at me are you?" he questioned, mentally preparing himself for something to be thrown at him, although his hand was hovering over his cell phone, in case he felt the need to call someone to take Adrian out. Lillian suddenly thought of something and rushed over to her father and whispered in his ear; getting a surprised look to come to his face. She didn't know if she should have said something about Adrian being able to pay for the bill by other means or not, but it seemed to calm her father considerably. "Lillian tells me that you may have some way to pay for the bill that you have racked up? Though she didn't tell me just how you'd be able to pay for it. She hinted at things, however, as usual, she did not get right to what she was meaning to tell me." he said, sighing as he looked from his daughter to Adrian, hoping that his daughter hadn't been lying to try protecting her friend.

Adrian smiled faintly as he drew his hand out and lightly lobbed an uncut amethyst gemstone roughly as thick as his thumb (1.5") and half the length (2"). "Found that some time ago, though where... is my little secret," he said with a faint smile as he shifted his shoulders. "Come on, do you really think I'd have some sort of weapon? The one I had was shattered when I landed in front of Lillian... and finding another good flexible birch branch like that that's strong enough to take the stress ain't exactly easy," he said with a slight sigh.

Lillian saw just what Adrian tossed over and she had to bite her lip to keep from giggling at her father's reaction to the stone that had been tossed by Adrian. Lillian's father's eyes grew wide as he caught the amethyst in his hands. "That's amazing... You're going to pay with this? But you say that you'll not say where you found it?" he said, his tone sounding as if he could have been asking Adrian if he stole the jewel, even though he hadn't spoken a word of such things.
