Lloyd gave her belly a light pat before nodding his head and smiled. "Sure, we''ll stay with you until then." Then he turned away, knowing that he was about to turn red soon enough.
"Just, don't expect me to pamper you while i'm here. I'm not doing any body massages. That includes your feet and your belly."

Pushing herself off the wall and heading for the door, Lilith placed a hand on Scarlett's shoulder as she passed. "He's joking. We'll help you in anyway possible..."
Scarlett smiles at the retreating paladin as she loosens her grip on Lloyd. "Where'd you find that one? She hardly seems your type..." Scarlett asks once Lilith was out of earshot.

"I'm not doing it..." Lloyd stated once more. He had no intentions of such affections and assistance for his pregnant friend.
"I found her on the battlefield. Crazy I know, but she's a keeper." He answered Scarlett, he then sighed, coming back to some negative thoughts. "I just hope I'm doing the right thing bringing her into my world. You know how bad it gets sometimes."

Scarlett shrugged again as she waddled over to a corner of the room that her bed sat in and with a puffy thud, plopped her heavily pregnant body down upon it. "Not really. I live a fairly sheltered live so what little I've heard of things going bad have been stories from you. But if you love her and she loves you back, you will be able to pull through it. Hell, she might even spot things about your curse that you overlooked."
Heading outside, Lilith untied the horses from the post in the front yard and tied them together so they would be free to wander but her warhorse could keep the smaller one safe. Once satisfied, she collected the saddlebags from both their horses and returned inside.

Lloyd tapped his chin and wondered on her words. "Then I take it you also didn't hear that she killed me. Well, I'm glad you didn't. As for Lilith, I think you're right. That or you read way too many books, but I want to believe you. I think she's the one, I want her to be. But I also want to keep her safe, then again my words didn't stop you from being in my life, did they? I really have a problem with women not paying attention to what I have to say."

"No I hadn't." Scarlett confirms, "But you appear to be in one piece to me... And of course they don't, you are merely stating the facts."
Spotting Lilith still outside with the horses, she adds, "But I don't think you need to do a whole lot of worrying with that one. She appears to be quite the tough cookie, especially if she 'killed' you."

"Har har" Lloyd then turned to look at Lilith as well. She had more care of the horses than he did. "But yet again, you're right. I shouldn't have to, perhaps I should be wondering if I can handle her rather than if she can handle me. Oh, that reminds me. Think you can conjure up a pet for her? Something that can handle our adventuring. Something erm...cute, like a puppy. "

Scarlett cocks an eyebrow at this request. "I'm an alchemist, not summoner. Although I have plenty of books on the topic, I've never done it myself. Why do you ask? Did she make this request or is this something you want to do to show her your love?" (Edit: Adding this to post so I don't lose it way back on page 11 wink

"Same Job to me." Muttered Lloyd lightly underneath his breath. "It's a bit of both, more the love part...okay so all the love part." It was difficult admitting his feelings for Lilith, but at least Scarlett was the understanding type. She always knew what to say and listened, well mostly.
"Can you please try for me, Red?" He sat down next to her and reluctantly rubbed her tender belly to sweeten the deal.

Scarlett murred as he found a tender spot on her belly and rubbed it. Lost in the moment, Scarlett didn't answer for a few seconds.
"Fine... but you owe me another one of those belly rubs and you'll have to help me with the summoning as I have little to no magical talent and I'm hardly in the condition to attempt something like that solo." Scarlett answered, before Lilith made her way back inside.
Lilith smiled and gave Lloyd a tiny head nod of approval as she came into the room and saw him giving Scarlett a belly rub. "Got our stuff." She stated, bluntly as she held up their saddle bags.
"Excellent!" Scarlett commented, before looking around at the towering piles of books. "Unfortunately the most space available is in the kitchen so you'll have to bunk down there." Shrugging in indifference, Lilith turned and headed towards where she assumed the kitchen was.
"Go prep your stuff while I find the correct book. If all goes well, we'll attempt this once Lilith goes to sleep."

Lloyd groaned, but agreed to her terms and conditions. Not like he could argue about it if Lilith was around, he was trying to keep it a secret from her.
"Figures she'd approve this, look how happy Scarlett was."
After hearing from Lilith that she had all their belongings sorted out, and that Scarlett had her own plans to do this summoning after Lilith goes to sleep, Lloyd gave his somewhat of an adopted sister another hug.
"Fair enough, try not to knock over much while you do." He teased her with a whisper. Releasing his grip on her, he began to help Lilith take their things into the kitchen.
"This way, Lilith" he said as he led her to where the kitchen was. It wasn't a big kitchen, but just big enough for the both of them to rest comfortably.

"Oh..." Lilith quickly corrects her path through the maze of books and follows Lloyd.
"Wow, the one room in the house that isn't coated in books..." Lilith comments, leaning her pack against a wall as she untied her bedroll from it. Once her bedroll and its blankets were set, Lilith removed her chain shirt and leather padding and tossed it into her pack. Catching Lloyd's eyes drifting across her body, Lilith quickly sank into her bedroll and deprived him of his view. "Not tonight. If you want to cuddle someone, cuddle Scarlett. I'm sure she would like some attention after being cooped up out here all alone..."
As if on queue, a dull thud was heard from the other side of the house as a stack of books had its foundation removed and collapsed. This was of course followed by Scarlett shouting that she was fine as she didn't want her guests to worry about her.

"Can't exactly eat books, the only ones that in here are cooking books anyway, You'd be surprised, for somebody that chose an alchemist profession, Scarlett is actually a great cook." He shortly explained to Lilith. Removing his own armor, he paused to take a look at Lilith. That was until she denied him.
"Oh come on, she's fine..."
As if that couldn't be any more of a coincidence, he heard the crash coming from Scarlett's books. It was bound to happen.
He sighed. "You really think she needs me to cuddle her, huh? You'll be fine here sleeping by yourself?" Asked Lloyd, truth be told, he wasn't sure how to bring back the smile on Scarlett's face.

Lloyd couldn't help but laugh at the thought of Lilith throwing knife after knife at a would be assailant. After putting on a casual shirt and bottoms, he gave Lilith a soft kiss on the lips and headed to Scarlett's aid.
He found her in her dedicated room of alchemy. It looked like she beached herself on the ground there, but perhaps she heard enough fat jokes from him already. "So this what this room finally looks like. You were right to tell me it was off limits, I would had messed with all of this stuff years ago just for the fun of it." He said as he helped Scarlett back up to her feet.
