"I'm jealous, trust me." He was only half-kidding. Gear wasn't his thing either- remember, he's the one that walks around barefoot and barechest as much as possible for more reasons that 'to show off his muscles'- but that stuff was... nice. It would also probably fetch well in the market, and provide him with much food.
One track mind when you're hungry. That last stint drained more than it should have.
"Alright then, go time." And he was making his way back into the... temple... wasn't this thing... whatever.
"...Do you hear that? Sounds like crying."

"Heh. Ye', I hear it." Shou looked over at Laz for a second, then back to the temple. Right arm gently held 'round Viceroy's shoulder, he helped the man towards the small group of people gathered in the midst of the temple ruins. Odd that he was being so kind to this man who'd only moments before had been trying to burn him to ashes.
Ah well, you did what you did 'cause that was what you thought to be right, right?
"Umm, hello?"
The question wasn't exactly posed to anyone in particular, but hopefully it'd be answered.

Sam sniffled and looked up at the sound of voice. Then she had to do a double take.
"LEON!" She scrambled to her feet, trying not to trip over the baggier clothing that Owle had given her. "Thank heavens." Hugging the man as he was in Shouyin's arms. "Thank you so much..." though she didn't realize Leon wasn't quite all there...or the fact he was wearing PJs.
She motioned them over to lean him against the temple building. "Here...please..." She was fussing even as she wiped her face on the shirt. "Oh god...thank you..."

"It's err, nothing ma'am?" Shouyin had trouble dealing with these kind of situations. Fussy women, tears, confusing circumstances and situations that he had no idea about, and really couldn't hope to understand anytime in the near future. Especially when 'saving' this Leon fellow, had entailed helping somewhat to make an opening for one fellow to knee him in the throat.
Yeah, it was real unnerving for him.
"No need to cry though, no need... Okay," He helped Leon to a wall, leaning the man back and easing him downwards so that he'd be comfortable sitting propped-up against the structure. He took a few steps back, scratching along his hairline with his left hand, fingers sticking out through the holes in the gauntlet.
"You're... welcome."
Christ, awkward.

Owle tried to comfort Sam when the woman began to cry, but before she could get the words 'It's alright' out of her mouth, Sam had taken off running. Leon was safe. Good.
Well, Owle didn't feel in any particular shape to get up and go running at strangers, even if one of them had sort of helped against the knight after trying to get Allen killed. She stayed where she was, sitting, leaning against the temple, as if she were on vacation and hadn't a care in the world.
She lifted an arm in a casual wave, and smiled weakly.
"Hey."
EDIT: Glad to hear you're not going to go wrecking things, she sent to Alex, who she could now sense was nearby. I wouldn't have wanted to fight anyone else.

When he finally awoke, it was because he had slid slightly in the backseat of Shouyin's car, with his shoulder striking the door. Eyes shot open and his hand came over to touch the injured area. Athan visibly winced before he pulled his way out of the car. Tentatively passing the crystal rose into his left hand, Athan leaned back into the car and pulled his sword from the vehicle with his right.
The result of his falling over would probably have just left Alex laying on the seat, so Athan wasn't really aware that the two had been leaning together in the first place.
With sword in hand, Athan turned his attention back towards the others gathered at the temple. A guy who looked an awful lot like the viceroy was being fussed over by some woman. He didn't know who, didn't really care at the moment, either.
His left arm hung limp at his side, as any real forced motion resulted in fractured bone grating against itself, which was painful enough in its own right.
Bits and pieces of glass were stuck into his arms and torso. The bandages that had at one point covered his arm were seared black. The wound just below his left eye was cauterized due to the intense heat surrounding the fountain during the final battle, and small portions of his flesh were seared pretty badly as a result. As he reached the temple's wall, Athan propped his sword up and slumped against it, sliding down until he reached the ground.
He wasn't going to start up any sort of conversation with complete strangers, so he busied himself by picking pieces of glass from his upper body and refastening the charred bandage.

Fortunately (or un) Owle was the type to start up conversations with complete strangers. The man had just gone and sat down right next to her, so she might as well talk.
"Hey, there," she said to the mass of injuries that had just slumped against the temple wall beside her. "You don't look so good. What happened?"
She thought about asking if she could help him bind his wounds, but she had already had one of her good shirts torn up in this whole mess already. She didn't feel like sacrificing another one.

Athan lifted his head slightly when a voice reached his ears. He turned his head, noticing that the woman next to him had decided to strike up a conversation. It wasn't entirely unexpected, but he seemed somewhat surprised.
"Hey."
He picked the last piece of glass from his left arm and then looked back to her to answer her question.
He gestured to the cut below his eye and then to his left shoulder, which was covered by bandage yet noticably misshapen.
"A guy hellbent on destroying the world..."
He kept his hand on the shoulder.
"A big rock..."
He proceeded to point out the various cuts as a result of the glass.
"And a window."

Shouyin lit up a smoke and started wandering.
Things were uninteresting.

Owle looked at the wounds in borderline admiration.
"That's some beating," she commented at last. "Guess you're lucky to have lived through it."

Lazenca did some wandering as well, away from Shouyin because he didn't like all that smoke in his air.

"Yeah, you could say that."
Athan tore off a small section of the bandage he had just finished refastening, causing him to repeat the entire process of tieing the bandage off once more. No longer was there any section of wrap left dangling.
He looked around for a moment before looking back to Owle.
"You have any water or something I could use for this?"

"Water?" Owle shook her head. "Sorry. I'm afraid I don't carry much practical stuff around with me. You'd probably have to get out of the Void before you could find any useful liquids."
She paused, thinking about that for a moment. "Spit on it?" she suggested. "My name's Owle, by the way."

In fact, he did just that. It was what he was planning on doing, but it just didn't seem to work as well. Particularly since his mouth was kind of dry. But he still managed to dampen the little makeshift rag enough to be used as a washcloth.
He set about cleaning the blood off of his chest and arm. Where the blood disappeared black streaks remained, but it was definetly easier to look at. After he had finished his patchwork, Athan checked over his body to see if he had missed anything particularly important. Satisfied with his work, he set the now-useless bandage aside.
"Athan."
He looked up and turned his head towards Owle.
"Wish this introduction could have been under different circumstances."
