"Someone is trying to get us to turn on each other then." She tossed back at gale, shrugging her shoulders. "What better way to get us to fight each other than the pressure of a bomb looming over us?"
"I agree with Gale. I think in the end they all played a part to the story. Lance, who is in charge of the surveillance, suddenly theres no footage? No autopsy that we know of by H or Clarice. Huge chunks of the story missing... a 'report' file missing? They all seem to not really care about what happened either. etcetera. I think they are all playing with us."

Jerry shifted in his seat, a very unhappy expression on his face as he stared at the ticking box in front of Ami. "So this is it... we're going to die." He wasn't hired for his sleuthing skills.

Lex just gave Solia a flat look as her laced his fingers with Ami's under the table, shaking his head. They'd been with each other in the haunted house, like Ami had said. More importantly to the man, though, was that his last name wasn't pronounced with the jam sound. "Juh-meal. Al-ex-ey Juh-meal. C'mon Solia, we've been over this one.
Turning his attentions back to the main event, the man grimaced. So they were starting to vote, then? O had already won; they'd been manipulated. He kept his silence; innocent blood wasn't going to stain his hands.

Marcus folded his hands into his lap, Looking to Gale before sinking into his seat a little more. "They all had a part in something of it, yet it's not our place to determine if the actions taken were right or wrong. They're our leaders. We didn't know the Council, and to us, it's the leads who control Deus ex anyway. So even if they are guilty, all it would do is weaken the hunters as a whole to remove them."

Ami was beginning to see why Dr. H always gave such peculiar, amused looks.
"I said we should fix the spotty testimony a while ago. Nobody listens to me," she said with a sighing smile. Ah well. At least they were getting answers now. "Quite frankly I think every person who's hidden something is just as guilty as the next, but like Marcus said it couldn't matter less what we attempt to coerce them to do. They can hide it from us all they want, there's no tactical means to force them.."
She shrugged, beginning to grow rather apathetic about the whole thing. A strangely calm smile was on her face. "Due to professional hazards we were never going to live long anyways, Jerry."

Ceres shook her head and just listened for a second more, before mumbling out something rather loudly.
"Shouldn't we try to figure out really who the ******** is playing with our heads and trying to blow us up instead of pointing fingers at each other for a past crime? Whats done is done, i still think all of them played a part we should move on to more pressing matters."
"Because honestly i for one don't want to be blown up, okay?"

Open DiscussionLex nodded along with what Ceres was saying, as well as Gale and Ami. Yes, the leads probably all did have something to do with it - it definitely would make sense. There were bigger fish to fry, however. "I'm agreed with Ceres - we should try to find out whoever this 'wizard of Oz' character is." He coughed, turning his head to Caelius. "Is it a James, sir?"

Ironically, Ceres was just about to point out to Ami that it seemed Caelius would be the first one to ask questions to about this; Lex though also put 2 + 2 together himself.
"Ami i believe its a matter of asking the right questions." And perhaps knowing who would rile the mysterious 'Jam' the most to get the best information.

Gale gave Marcus a pointed, slightly exasperated look, but refrained from actually saying anything to him. He gave a nod to Ceres and added, "Besides, attempting to ask anything about the actual murder will only get us more vague answers, I'm sure."
Jam. James. Jamison. Jamie. Jamal. He ticked off names in his head, running through them like a mantra.

Jerry continued to murmur anxiously under his breath, glancing from one face to the next of the guilty parties.
One cool, calm, collected, slightly annoyed face... except for one who looked to be foaming at the mouth and sweating bullets. "HIM!!" He stood with enough force to send his chair screeching back, "IT HAD TO BE MARK!"
