He had at last reached the end of the stairs, stopping to stand before another door. His gaze again feel on the words, reading the message. With no sound, there was no need for voice, for voice does not exist without sound. Even if he were to speak in this place, no one would have heard him, what reason then was there to remain, to not enter the door?
There was none.
Without pause, Sheridan pushed through the door. What would he find on the other side? Had he had last reached the answers he sought, would he come face to face with the voice?

Mjoll is not the energizer bunny but these stairs just keep going and going.

Mjoll's well built with an hourglass figure. Her long blonde hair was left unbraid but with some pulled up in a bun so as not to drag the ground. Her ice blue eyes are as hollow as her soul. She has a plain cream dress on with white shoes.
Onwards. Forever, onwards. His legs were on fire, probably not helped by the fact that it felt as though he were carrying another person on his back, almost. And yet he still continued onward, focusing on putting one foot in front of the other.

Mjoll just frowned at the voice as it continued to talk. Would it make her real? Not this empty hull? She didn't believe it as she continued to walk. These stairs were going to be the death of her.

More steps, steps that seemed to reach in to eternity, a stairway that seemed to never end. He began to question why he continued to climb, why he took each step when it never seemed to lead anywhere. Did this staircase truly lead anywhere? Or was it just another trick, another part of the game. Perhaps in the end he was doing exactly what the voice had wanted, did he only imagine he chose his own actions?
He shook his head, he could not stop now. If there was any hope of answers, if any answers existed, it would be at the end of this path. If there truly was an end...
The Voice spoke again. It sounded... smaller this time, pleading.
"I create this world, and thus I can give you anything. Reflect on your choices now, and remember that I even have the power to make you become the greatest Kings. I could rebuild this world around you. Everything will could be yours."
Gilly scoffed a little at the prospect of becoming a King.
"You mean like you did for our King, for all the Kings." Gilly's eyes started to well up, emotions came flooding in. "You toyed with us, even if we aren't real, we are still... real... inside, we feel, we laugh, we hurt, it's not very nice to promise things that you use to hurt people, or, whatever we are. I don't think you could give me what I want Voice." Despite the heaviness of the air, Gilly marched on with new determination.

He was going to have nightmares about stairs, he just knew it.
I really hope we're given the opportunity to walk up to the Voice, just so I can punch him in the face for making so many stairs... He thought to himself.

It was strange, how quickly one adjusted to hearing nothing, being unable to utter a sound. Because it felt jarring, and out of place, now, to hear the Voice, speaking as if directly in his ear. And yet, he almost wished he could reply, himself. He wanted to understand, but all he was catching was bits and pieces that seemed to assume he knew more than he really did...

His breath came in labored huffs. There had been almost no resistance before this point, but now it seemed the entirety of this phony existence was conspiring against him, keeping him from his goal.
I wish only for one True King. I do not wish for anything else. What will you gain from reaching me other than what you already know?
The Voice wanted one king. If it gave him a crown, would it mean everyone else had fallen?

Gilly stopped. She wasn't sure how to answer this question. At first they were just being pulled there, but there was nothing calling to her now. But where would she go? Everything was coming to this point. Gilly looked ahead. "Well, maybe the answer, wasn't as important as the journey. Even if the end is disappointing, the journey is still worth taking." She thought of everyone in the Red Kingdom. "Even if, we aren't real, those things, to me, were real. So this is okay."
Gilly placed another foot forward.
"This is okay."
