Kaosujin Ryu well that's good...I am with my family right now..we are staying the night because it has actually snowed and the roads are terrible at the moment..I may not even go to work tomorrow. "What do you mean," Constance asked as they exited the kitchen. When they did Merrick brushed against her and she could feel that it was his tails hiding the fact that he was naked. She blushed a little and shook her head. "I didn't like how she was looking at you...the other woman with Mariamma," she muttered. Constance's cheeks flushed even more when she realized she had spoken those words out loud. ~~~~~ Cassandra smiled and leaned againt Lorcan as his arm went around her shoulders. His fingers rubbing over her skin made the spots where he touched feel arm and soothed. As they reached the jacuzzi she pulled away from Lorcan and slowly lowered herself into the hot water. She let out a contented sigh as the water washed over her, warming her up. Cassandra looked up and smiled at Lorcan. "Come on in, it's wonderful."

Alede OOC - LOL... Been there, done that. Happened last Christmas to me, actually... made dealing with the wrecks afterward one hell of a pain in the a**, though. Merrick blinked when Constance spoke. He snorted at the idea. "What... ah... you think I'd be attracted to a stranger rather than someone I actually know something about, hai? Don't worry too much about that... I seriously doubt she'd stir more than a momentary notice from me," he said wryly, thi,s time deliberately meaning the double entendre. He had found the young woman cute, indeed, though he was certain that in a more private setting he would have found a cactus more pleasant. Lorcán blinked a couple of times as he forced himself to keep from inhaling sharply; in the seconds Cassandra had slid into the water, and he was sure it had been unintentional, but she'd looked like a seductress. He stepped into the water, feeling his muscles tense as if surprised at the temperature change as he moved slowly but steadily as he felt his muscles relax.

Kaosujin Ryu yeah it happened a couple years ago to me...I really dont wanna work tomorrow anyway...my nose is all stuffed up...I do a lot of running around at work...that wont be fun. "Uh, oh no I didn't mean that." Constance blushed as she looked everywhere but at him. "I just...I don't like how women look at men like they are a piece of meat...and vice versa." Oh goodness...she couldn't believe the things that came out of her mouth when she was around him. She seemed to speak her mind more around him. She wasn't usually like that. Constance turned her gaze to him. "You should probably..ah...get dressed," she said softly. ~~~~~~ Cassandra smiled more as Lorcan joined her in the jacuzzi. She rested her arms along the rim and laid her head back. It felt so good in her. Especially since he was here with her. She opened her eyes slowly and looked at him. "Feels good in here," she murmured.

Merrick blinked, taking a half step back as Constance mentioned his current state of dress; it was then he noted a gleam of green light on the window for just a second before the illusion unraveled as one tail shot up, curling around Constance's shoulders as a second curled aroud her hips, forcing her to duck. It was then that the pane of glass just above where he'd noticed the momentary glimmer of light broke with a sharp crack even as he slid between the window and Constance. He grunted as he twisted at the last instant, keeping the dart form getting stuck in him, though he did end up with a shallow cut that went upward from his sternum to the outer edge of his left collrbone. The dart, having been redirected by the glancing blow, shattered against the wall. He noticed the attacker had waited to fire with a clap of thunder to cover both the sound of the shot and the breaking glass. His eyes went slitted almost the moment the glass broke as his foot shifted, unconscious gaining a few cuts from the shattered glass as he felt a pulse of energy ripple through his body. Simultaneously, another boom of thunder happened as he saw a bolt of lightning slaminto the rooftop of a shop across from the hotel. He absently realized he was leaning across Constance with his torso at roughly a forty degree angle as he balanced on the dalls of his feet. Lorcán exhaled as he settled, smiling slightly as he sat across from Cassandra. "I'm sure you've heard that I have a skill for connecting with witches who have lost siblings to hunters and were lucky enough to make it to a coven home. Before you ask, no, this isn't something Merida knows about me, since it happened before I met her," he said quietly. He knew she knew this since though officially with the Dark Coven, he was one of the few that helped witches regardless of thier coven connections.

It had all happened so fast, Constance didn't have time to react. Before she knew it a window had shattered and Merrick had pulled her out of the way, blocking her from whatever had come through the window. She smelled it first rather than seeing it. The smell of blood was unmistakable. Constance didnt' even seem to notice or care how close Merrick was to her. All she knew was that somebody had shot a dart at them again, she could smell the tranquilizer within it, and Merrick was hurt. Her eyes turned pitch black as she gave a small snarl. It seemed as if something changed within her. There was something dark, primal. "I am going to find them..I am going to find them and rip them apart." Constance's voice had gotten a bit deeper as she tried to pull away from Merrick. ~~~~~~~~~ Cassandra nodded slowly. "Yes, I know." She sat up a little straighter as she watched him. "So why haven't you told Merida? I am just curious." She thought he would have since the two were so close. They were like brother and sister.

Merrick shifted his weight back onto his feet, spreading them half again as wide as his sboulders. He spoke quietly but firmly; the change in his personality was somewhat creepy, as the feeling his tone of voice reminded one of a restrained animal, albeit one that was barely held back. “I already hit the bakayaro with lightning, Constance," he said in a low voice. Lorcán shifted unconsciously inhaling slowly. "Because in many ways I know she relies on me... and I'll admit that sometimes I prefer to not think about my own past. In a way, it's similar to Constance's past, yet my parents died in a car accident that nobody noticed until a couple of weeks later, though by then it was too late, and not just for them. Six days after the accident a burglar broke into our home when I was out grocery shopping... and murdered my twin brother and younger sister. I caught him a half mile down the road, or so I though... he had the ability to create illusions and managed to escape. I've since found some disturbing things about him, including the fact he is a witch that was raised by a known witch hunter," he said quietly; he had been eleven at the time.

Constance shivered, her eyes closing. When they opened again they were back to normal. She stumbled a little, reaching out and grasping his arms to steady herself. "I..I am sorry." She murmured as she shook her head. "I don't know what came over me." She took a deep breath as she righted herself. "It seems that someone wants to get a hold of one of us real bad..." Constance gave a small nod of her head and the glass pieced itself back together, the window fixed. "We should..probably tell the others."~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cassandra frowned a little. She hadn't know that much about Lorcan. She was sure not a whole lot of people knew. It wasn't something that he would advertise. In fact, she wouldn't either. It was just the way their personality was. Cassandra moved until she was next to him. "I am sorry," she said softly. "That it happened to you."

Merrick shrugged his shoulders, wincing slightly in the process. His gaze shifted to the cut on his chest before he coughed. "Damn, the needle was tainted as well with the tranquilizer... didn't get much, though," he managed as his hand flicked up into the wall, not noticing the fine web of cracks that spread a half inch around his hand. He felt dizzy and lightheaded. Lorcán shrugged with a sigh. "Magic gives us challenges and advantages, but we're still human. Death is one thing that nothing living and sentient can evade," he said wryly.

Constance hurried over to Merrick, grasping his arm. She saw the fine web of cracks that were spreading around his hand. "Merrick, we have to look at this. I don't know what this is..." She looked up at him with wide eyes. "We need to get Merida or one of the other leaders."~~~~~ Cassandra sighed as she ran her hand lightly over Lorcan's hair. "It is a shame that they felt the need to create the witch hunters. Granted there are some witches who are mean spirited and evil, but the majority of us are not like that." She was quiet for a moment. "Usually we are the ones that pay the price."

Alicia jerked awake.with a gasp, her reddish gold hair hanging messily around her face as she shivered; she heartily disliked thunderstorms for her own reasons. Merrick blinked, slowly managing to stand upright despite the disorienting effects of the tranquilizer. "It isn't hard to tell what it is... if I'm right, whatever happened after that meeting changed me... and not just physically," he said quietly. He concentrated as he held his hand just in front of his face as a swirling aura of lavender and sky blue energy formed around his fingers, forgetting that Constance didn't know about the incident after the meeting earlier that afternoon. Lorcán exhaled, the sound a low if momentary purr. "Tell me about it; people assume that because we're different that we would automatically think we made 's deal with the devil' or some other idiotic notion and never think that we're like anyone else. To quote Shakespeare, 'If you slap us, do we not hurt? If you p***k us, do we not bleed?'" he said wryly.

"What do you mean, what happened to you?" Constance asked softly as she watched him. She had taken a step back when Merrick managed to stand up straight on his own. She watched in wonder as energy the color of lavender and sky blue circled around his fingers. It was beautiful. She moved back forward a step and touched his arm. "You should probably sit down."~~~~~~ Cassandra watched Lorcan silently. Even though they weren't exactly speaking of pleasant things, she liked to hear him talk. The sound of his voice was soothing, very soothing to her ears. "Well it seems some of our kind do make a deal with the devil," she sighed softly. "I am ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. They lost their way, and I fear there is no way to bring them back."~~~~~~ Amelia had been sitting quietly in her room, a scroll laid out across the bed, ever since she left the meeting room. Her fingers moved swiftly over the parchment as she took in its contents. It was one of the few she had taken out of the trunk she had brought here. It had to do with Constance's family. As she got further into the scripture her hand slowed down. No---it couldn't be...could it? She wasn't...was she? And there it was again. The letters detailing Constance's family tree. Who her mother was...who her father was...and who her grandfather was. "Well s**t," Amelia whispered to herself as she sat back. "This puts a little bit of a spin on things." She stood up and brushed out the wrinkles in her clothes. Everyone else needed to know about this. She sent out a thought, letting the other leaders know that they needed to talk. Leave the children out of this. Just us and Lorcan need to be there....~~~~ Cassandra frowned a little as her head tilted to her side. "Lorcan...Amelia wants to see us. She doesn't want Constance, Merrick or Alicia there though..."

Merrick sighed as he unconsciously took Constance's advice, sitting with his back against the wall. He took a deep breath before he spoke. "To be honest,I don't know fully what happened, other than afterward I awoke in a puddle of what seemed to be a pool of my own blood; I distinctly recall hearing a murmur in my mind that said 'I am sorry, my son, but this will hurt.' in my mind. The next thing I was aware of was pain unlike anything I'd felt before; I could literally fell my bones breaking and my muscles ripping apart," he said quietly, not really realizing he's pulled Constance into his lap. Lorcán cocked his head thoughtfully. "Judging by that fact, I would assume that it is related to one of the trio in question, most likely Alicia or Constance. I personally suspect the latter," he said with a sigh. As he spoke, he slid out of the Jacuzzi and flicked his wrist in what many would assume to be a dismissive manner. Both his and Cassandra's towels flew toward him, landing on his outstretched arm.

Constance listened to Merrick silently as he spoke. She winced a little as he described what he could remember. So that would explain all the blood she had seen on him in the hallway. As he had spoken, Merrick had pulled Constance into his lap. She stiffened a little, not used to being so close to someone, but after a moment she relaxed, her head resting against his chest. Her eyes closed as she listened to his heart beat. It was steady, strong. She found comfort in it. "Every time after my mother speaks through me...I can't remember it," she said softly. "Afterwards my head is pounding. It feels like someone took a hammer and just went crazy..."~~~~~~~~~~~ Cassandra slipped out of the jacuzzi and took her towel from Lorcan's arm. She smiled as she began to dry off her body and then moved to her hair. "Yes, I suspect it has to do with Constance. I would hope that Amelia would tell me first if something had to do with Alicia." She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. Cassandra wrapped the long towel around her body, tucking it in at the top so it stayed around her. To hell with going to get dressed right now or bothering to call forth some clothes. She was done being shy. Besides it was just the other coven leaders. "I guess we should go to the meeting room." Cassandra smiled and gave Lorcan a quick kiss before beginning to walk away.

Merrick tilted his head. "At least you have a little warning before it happens if you think about it," he sighed thoughtfully. He felt a slight itching on his chest and glanced down. His eyes widened in surprise as he saw the wound visibly healing, as the wound had shrunk from nearly seven inches in length to less than three and still shrinking with slight wisps of steam at the edges of the healing wound. "Constance," he said quietly, his voice clearly surprised. Lorcán chuckled as he dried his hair casually before wrapping his own towel around his hips. "Agreed," he said simply, amused as he thought of how the other leaders would react to their appearances.

"Hmm?" Constance lifted her head, looking up at Merrick. Her gaze then followed his and her eyes widened. The wound that had been on his chest had shrunk and was still doing so. There was no indication that the wound had ever been there in the first place. Constance looked up at him with wide eyes. "How...how did you do that?" Her fingers lightly touched the edge of the wound as it continued to get smaller. ~~~~~~~ It didn't take long for the two of them to arrive at the meeting room, and everyone else was already there. When Merida saw the two of them her face lit up in a grin and she looked absolutely pleased with herself. Her grin widened even more when she saw the necklace around Cassandra's neck. Carolyn's lips were pursed when the two of them walked in together. She did not look happy at all. Nala stared at the two of them before going back to Amelia's side. "Well I hope you guys had a bit of a relaxing time." Amelia spoke as Cassandra took her seat. "I have been going over the scrolls and we have an issue at hand that needs to be discussed.""This couldn't wait until morning?" Carolyn groaned. "I was just beginning to get into a good sleep...""ENOUGH." Amelia shouted, causing all the coven leaders to jump. In all the years that they had known her, Amelia had never raised her voice like that. "Carolyn if you cannot take this leadership seriously then we will find someone else who can. It has been done before and it can happen again. Now do us all a favor and keep your trap shut until I am finished."Carolyn paled visibly and just sat stiffly in her seat. Despite her laid back attitude, she didn't want this leadership to be taken away from her. She had always wanted it. "Now, as I was saying," Amelia said in a softer voice. "We have an issue that I have just come across. I was going over the family trees, more specifically Constance's. What I found poses a problem to all of us." She waved her hand and a scroll appeared in front of her. Her hand ran lightly over it. "We all know who her father was and his lineage. Ambrosius Mythos and his family were very dedicated and trustworthy witches. Not much, however, was known about Constance's mother's side of the family." Amelia cleared her throat. "Somewhere along the line though someone found the information. Rosaline Sparrow, who married Ambrosius Mythos, who is mother to Constance Mythos is the daughter of Lucinda and ....the great deceiver.""Whoa, wait a minute," Merida said slowly. "So the big bad demon we are up against, who wants to destroy us, is Constance's grandfather?" She sat back in her seat. "What exactly does that mean for Constance?" She asked softly. "It means," Amelia said slowly, "That things are going to get harder for Constance from here on out. She is of age now, and no doubt he is trying to find her. He will try to turn her to his side, and use her against us. She must be protected at all costs until she is ready to handle the demons that will be coming at her by herself." The scroll rolled shut and disappeared. "We need to tell her," Cassandra finally spoke. "We can't keep this from her. If she is to grow stronger to be able to face down those who want to harm her or her friends...she needs to prepare.""I agree that we need to tell her," Merida said with a nod. "But how exactly do you tell someone that? I mean, you saw her when she found out who and what her mother was. How do you think she is going to react when she finds out that her grandfather is the oldest and most powerful demon in all of hell?"
