Gwendolyn Barrett Ok not back reading nor do I feel like looking at the main page. just being lazy right now... any way another Idea I has is Country theme. Not that hillbilly red-neck type country (no offense to anyone) but like a Japan themed room, Germany where we can do an Oktoberfest event, Italy... PASTA!!! (need I say more).. Or I know most of you are thinking Hetalia like I am so we can go that route but put our own gaia spin on it. Rooms ideas America Canada England France Spain China Japan: (I call dibs on this room...lol) Italy Germany and too many more to list I love this idea ;D but its probably because I want to be apart of a Gaian Oktober feast >D

Virgo Room > All [and not just because it's the only zodiac sign that is a goddess, not some random animal or random person] It has so much potential for cross-overs with some of the other rooms. Actually, most of them aren't random. Aries, the Ram, for example, is a specific ram from mythology. That said, if doing this theme, we'd want to avoid bringing in too much of the original mythology, as that would begin hitting on the Greek Mythology theme. We'd want to do something more along the lines of the zodiac signs being guardians or something like that. And we could bring in Ophiuchus as the main antagonist. I was thinking more or less along these lines: The 12 Guardians of the zodiac have become worried. There are many other minor guardians, but one in particular had begun to cause trouble. Ophiuchus, a minor guardian serving Sagittarius, has been insisting he take his place as a proper guardian, as one of 13 Signs that influence those on Gaia. This has caused...trouble, to say the least. He's been causing the Zodiac's influence to be skewed in immeasurable ways. Some Gaians are facing severe and sudden personality crisis's. Some who are under the determined Aries' care are becoming confident in their abilities. Some under the fair and just Libra are becoming highly biased and criminal. The 12 Guardians must sort this out before the whole system crashes and chaos ensues. Something like that would be cool smile That actually sounds pretty cool. I figure cohosts could be other 'minor guardians,' or constellations. So the constellation Cetus might serve under Aquarius or Pisces, and Lynx could serve under Leo or Cancer. We could use the original mythology for inspiration in character design (but otherwise keep away from the mythology story wise). We can also just have fun with some, as some are recently discovered and don't have much mythology.

Got about 5 pages in before I ran out of time to keep reading while at work... Loving the murder mystery idea, but I'm worried that players will be upset if they end up having to die to further the plot... we may have to fill the room with mules to use as victims (and not announce that they're NPCs), or give people the option to stay on as ghosts or some-such (Being very careful not to let them know who the murderer is first!). This would involve a lot of thunder claps and candles/lights going out... would work well with the Dracula theme or as a nod to Clue mrgreen Also, in regard to the Victorian themed ideas, Gaia has come out with a lot of items that could be cleverly worked into a Steampunk event. I personally am a big fan of the mad-science angle popularized by Girl Genius (And I know that the authors have done cross-promoting in the past... maybe they'd want to get involved in return for some publicity?)

Theme Suggestion: The Undead
Concept -- The King of the Vampires and the Lich King are both add odds with each other as they both want to be crowned Supreme Emperor of the Undead. [Naturally the main host and co-host would assume the roles of the two kings and lead separate rooms.]
Throughout the event, the two kings will launch attacks on each other and sometimes send spies. They will even try to recruit other rooms to join their side... Lots of cross-over potential!
However in the end, they will sort out their differences and give the crown [and throne] to the ghost lady who had been arguing for peace from the beginning!
These Are Only Sample Rooms [as Hosts Will Decide for themselves]
Castle of the Vampire King -- This room represents the domain of the vampires. If a guest enters isn't a vampire already, they're always recruiting!
The Lich's Tower -- This is the domain of the lich king and his army. Like the vampires, he's also recruiting and will turn guests into undead.
The Haunted Manor -- This room contains undead that are not affiliated with the two warring factions. There are many ghosts here.
The Little Village of Gault -- This room represents a small town that is under assault from zombies! Most of the other undead left, leaving the mortal population to fend for themselves.
Van Helsing Hate Crimes Room -- In this room, humans are the monsters! A small village containing families of undead is under constant assault by a single human. If a guest arrives as a human avatar, the undead villagers will run screaming from them but Van Helsing will show up to recruit him to their cause. If a guest arrives is anything not human, the undead villagers will appeal to the guest to form a party of adventurers to defeat the monsters. [This room will naturally have PVP combat with guests fighting against guests.]
WereVille -- This room contains werebeings of all sorts. Folk lore often stated that when a werewolf died, he'd rise up as a vampire thus it is only fitting that the werefolk be giving a room also.
Why? -- Because everyone loves undead! They love having their necks nibbled on by vampires [don't deny it], killing zombies [even other undead kill them], having seances to talk to ghosts, and other fun undead-related activities.... [Note -- This suggestion is totally not a plot on my part to increase Gaia's undead population.... maybe.]

Maybe, the theme could be where everyone gets trapped in a different game, not games like checkers or chess,but in games like, one room is where you have to conquer your fears to escape (Not like this year's Nightmare Dream, but actually facing your own and others fears) and another is where you have to reach a place first, with many obstacles, etc.

Rainsong Skywatcher Maybe, the theme could be where everyone gets trapped in a different game, not games like checkers or chess,but in games like, one room is where you have to conquer your fears to escape (Not like this year's Nightmare Dream, but actually facing your own and others fears) and another is where you have to reach a place first, with many obstacles, etc. Ha! That reminds me of the game Persona 4. I actually got the idea from a book.... I can't remember the title, but it was a great book :3

I was thinking more traditional liches [as in usually evil wizards that sought to extent the existence using magic and can only actually be killed by destroying their phylactery] but you know what.... If we do that theme, it is 100% up to the main host and co-host to decide. As for why I decided vampires vs. liches? There are other types of undead, but in most cases we're dealing with things that are either non-corporeal, non-sentient and/or doesn't tend to be organized enough to be building an army.
