Odd would return to the sky with Treble's help, heading towards where Sub was. He knew from the recent series of messages that Sub wanted them all looking for the original chi signature but there was no way he was going to let the team leader do something stupid without backup. He didn't know Blizzard was with Subb now but he wasn't going to care when he got there, either.

That is, until Al ran into him, already in flight with Tweety. The middle-aged Snagem had had Nameless use his Ancient Power on a low scale to make an energy drill to cut through the ice encasing the Altaria until she had been freed. He wouldn't ask her to battle again but he needed her to help him travel out here. At least flight didn't expend too much energy so she could manage that for a while. When Al found the Ghost channeler, he snatched him out of the air. "Sub said we should look for the original energy source." He scolded as he dragged the hovering boy along with him, following GRAY's guidance to get there.

"Lemme go!" He demanded of Al, who shook his head in denial. "No! You were told to do something important and you're going to do it. I'm worried about him too. Something could happen to him if he's alone but he's accepted that and wants us to take care of the rest of the problem." Al countered, giving Odd a cold glare that said there would be no arguing with him.

When did he grow a pair?

The moment he began to worry for his friends.

Huh....Go figure it took making friends for him to stop having trouble with that....

Cadenza remained behind Odd, following him at a fairly fast pace as they were forced towards the chi signature on the magick rock that appeared out of nowhere.

Lykas, out of the trio of males, was closest to the water. He was being carried over the surface of the water by Cascade, his Mantine, at this point. The duo were rapidly gaining on the original energy source, having fled Berry Forest with little trouble long before the others. About the time he arrived was when Al showed up, dragging Odd behind him.

"Who's that?" Al asked, as he spotted the channeler through the silver veil.

"I dunno.....never seen him before.....But if I had to guess, I'd say that's Shaan. I found out about him from the info we got from the Stone Society back when we raided their mansion. He's a Steel Channeler." Odd replied to Al before he got an idea. "I doubt those walls will fall easily."

The trio of humans and their Pokemon stopped far enough away that the Durant's attack didn't affect them.

Arriving at the island was the easy part. However, the discovery made entry difficult. At least, Sol and Swampert couldn't. Neither could Amaranth and Xipil when they caught up.

Ceramew eventually did too, at a pace none of the four expected... let alone her crashing against the barrier and flying back. "Oof... lemme in!" She shouted before attempting to fly at the barrier again.

"Hang on! Ascend!" Dan called out, Talon rising up to escape the range of the sound. Unclipping a pokeball, he tossed it over the barrier and Rain emerged behind Durant. "Hydro Pump!" he shouted over the wind, the otter fired the powerful blast of water. Hopefully it would knock the ant off and allow Pignite to attack the shield.

"Wait for me!!!" Alex cried out. Z lowered down to the water since it couldn't support carrying anyone and levitate at the same time. With Agility, the virtual pokemon skittered along the water, trying to keep up with Sol and the others. Arriving at the island, Z ran into barrier and wondered what was going on. "You ok, Z? What is this?" Alex wondered before giving the barrier a poke.

"No! It hurts! Mommy, make it stop!" Kareem shouted. As Blizz began to pull on the mass of energy on the kid's chest, it would begin to take a more familiar form, the form of a rock, the meteorite. The rock was still connected to the kid by a string of energy, Kareem's black coloring washing away, the zipper mouth fading, in general he started to gain a more human appearance, blonde hair growing where his once black spiky hair was. Blizz would eventually be able to rip the meteorite completely, the rock now in his hand, and a naked twelve year old child in his arms. "Wow, he looks...normal." Sub commented, looking at the child who remained motionless in Blizz's arms.

As the Night Shade disappeared, Sub began to look around for land, noticing a small island, little bigger than a sand bar, he pointed to the land. "Over there, I think Pallas needs a break too." He said, recalling Nevermore and heading over to the tiny island, landing on the ground.

Sub would recall Pallas as he landed, pocketing the ball and looking down at the kid, removing his vest and laying it across his lower body to hide his shame, out of respect. "I'm sorry..." The kid mumbled as he opened his blue eyes, tears seemingly forming in them. "They...they aren't bad, you know..." He forced himself to speak. "Hey, kid, don't worry about it, just rest." Sub said to Kareem, showing no hard feelings. "I just wanted...friends." He spoke, ignoring Sub's suggestion.

"My parents, we always moved around...because...because of dad's job. We had to move from our house in Black City after it was bought out by some company to make a power plant...ever since then, we moved around." Sub didn't argue with him, he stayed silent and listened. "I lost my only friend in that house...a doll...but one day, he came back to me." He said smiling. "Yeah, he came back...as a Banette. I could feel his anger with me...and his sorrow...we played for awhile, but...but something came out of the sky, knocking me in the head...a rock. When I woke up, two months had passed...and I was in the hospital, they called it a coma. My mom couldn't handle the thought of losing me, as doctors told her I probably wouldn't pull through...so she...she killed herself. My dad? He drank himself to death. I was alone."

"That night, when I woke up...my Banette friend came, but he seemed...different...all I remember is going to sleep again, and having a dream. A dream where I was floating in space...and I spoke to something...it told me, that he would give me friends...that's when I woke up again, as a Banette. I left the hospital, confused...until Dill found me, one of the Stone Society members...he took me home with him, and it was there that I found friends. I finally found friends...but I was greedy...I wanted more...so I forced kids to be my friends with my powers...made them my puppets...I'm...sorry." He told Blizz and Sub.

"Yeah, you're right, we need to go join the others, I don't think they will be able to handle whatever is out there alone." He said to Blizz, looking back over to the kid. "Hey, kid, do you think-...kid?" Sub said in a confused tone as he noticed Kareem staring off into space. "You okay?" He asked him, there was no response. Sub got done on his knees and pressed his ear up to his chest for awhile trying to hear a heart beat. Slowly, he rose his head back up, closing Kareem's eyes for him, and turning to face Blizz, not saying a word, his expression telling the story.
