"I didn't mean-" she babbled, "I was just looking at Tarot over-" With her free hand, she smacked her face.
"Lead the way, cowboil," she said glumly. Wow she'd really jacked this up and it hadn't been more than five seconds. At least he hadn't let go of her hand or anything.
The tiny smile didn't go unnoticed either.

While Macthor's booth looked perfect, the boil himself looked...well.
Clearly he had just rolled out of bed and come to the festival like that. His blond hair, which was usually only a little messy, stuck up in every which direction today. At the very least, he had attempted to wear a dress shirt and a tie...only the former was wrinkled and half-tucked into his jeans, and the latter was loose and simply hanging around his neck.
The tired glare in his eyes didn't help attract people either.

His parent's were the first to pass by and they were...ecstatic to see him trying so hard to attract a good employer. They were a pair of very traditional zombies, who had very distinct ideas of what a good zombie should work toward. Often their son seemed so unenthusiastic about his heritage, so it was a relief to see him finally showing his undead worth. Murdoch didn't smile at the praise, but though his fist was clenched and trembling beneath his robes, he didn't lash out or correct them. This was normal. Someone would surely understand what he was trying,,,
The next person to pass by was a demon in a business suit, who looked it over and nodded with approval. Then a necromancer whose praise echoed that of the zombie's well-meaning parents. The janitor representative gave him a big thumbs up.
Murdoch was angry, but he could handle that. He was used to being angry. It was the slow, heavy burden of despair that shook him. The sense of hopelessness.

In the end, while he didn't exactly make a splash, Murdoch Dregs had received a fair amount of business cards for work as a servant, a gardener's apprentice, a personal soldier, a lab experiment, a janitor. His parents came by again to congratulated him on his successes, and comfort him, because he hadn't received any offers for a long term demon mark. It would come with time, they said, he'd just have to prove himself first.
He waited until the elder Dregs were gone before leaving his table. Several minutes later, a flame flickered along one of the pictures and quickly spread across all the photos, along with the real, genuine achievements that no one had bothered to comment on. As his work went up in flames, Murdoch didn't bother looking back.
(final score: 16 DESTROYED)

His grin broadened, the depressed mood from earlier gone easily, and he tugged her towards Westhor's booth, stopping in front of it and looking it over for a long moment.
"So," he finally said to the boil running it. "Are y'giving advice or takin' it?" he asked bluntly. "You got... diagrams or such?"

Macthor was not much of a talker. Therefore, as one would expect, he only gave those who wandered towards his booth a very brief and monotone description of himself...and that was only to the first few people who visited. As others people visited him, attracted by his bright and meticulously-decorated booth, his voice soon dropped into a mumble, and then...silence.
He just stared, expression bored, as people came to look at his booth, cast a glance at him, and scurry away. Despite his crossed arms and grumpy appearance, he noticed that some people still left their cards on his booth.
...Well, maybe they were in the decorating business.

George squeaked as the Yeti stood behind the booth. He had tried to dress up and was ruffling his hair a bit. Anytime someone walked by he would smile, and greet them.
Eventually he picked up George and started rubbing the mouse on it's head with one large finger. "When we get finished George lets go see what the others are doing okay?"
When he sat George down he was waving at people and being frightfully friendly.

Oh my Jack was she doing this just to make fun of her? Was he teasing her for earlier?
HE WAS ASKING FOR DIAGRAMS??!
WHY WOULD YOU NEED A DIAGRAM IT WAS-
"Tex ..." she said somewhat unsteadily, and blatantly looking down at the hand she was holding. Just because she knew what sex was thanks to her parents did NOT mean she was up and ready to have it here and now! Not to mention getting advice on it from Westhor?

Just a LITTLE Distracted from the current conversation,(really, only a little.) Pyre turned around to find one of her...favorite little ice demons setting up shop. He looked a little pitiful... not to mention his booth was not exactly the most wonderful thing in the world. But you know what makes everything better? FIRE. So, being the caring ghoul she was, Pyre called out to Arel with a grin. "Arreeelll~" Summoning a little ball of flame in the palm of her hand shje 'blew a air kiss' in Arels direction. Sending the little flaming ball, no bigger than a silver seed really, right towards him.

Kani slipped out of her booth, left a sign that she was away, left out pamphlets and a jar for those who wanted to leave their cards, and sashayed her way down the way to see the other booths. A group of her peers were over at one very simple table, and she felt maybe it was for information. As she drew near, she thought it might be a yard sale.
"Peddling your wares?" She asked, slipping beside them at talk of selling figures. "Oh, can I have the little ghost dog?" She said, poking the little pooch figure.

The shadhavar drummed his horn-tipped fingers lightly on the table, watching people go by. A few of them stopped to inspect him and his proof of fabulousness, but it wasn't as many as Faysal had hoped. He frowned for a moment behind the fall of his mane. Plebians. All plebians, the lot of them.

When Faysal compared his results to that of the booths around him, the shadhavar only got more and more grumpy - and that showed on his face. Given that he was a predatory beast, perhaps that frustration created a fierce battle aura that drove his guests away after only a short time? Yes, surely they were impressed by his ferocity. Of course they were.
At least he was accumulating a decent number of cards, even if it wasn't the total victory he had hoped for...
((Tally: 14 - You're pretty good at this! A lot of people have given you their cards!))

While her classmates were preparing, Sophie was working. She was called in to do an emergency night shift at Bloody Mary - the local personality and emotional crisis helpline you can do in front of your mirror - and despite all of her refusal and reasons to not go, it seemed she had no choice and ended up covering for a lady whose pumpkin was just hatching. If she had tangible bones to work down to, that was the night she would have done it. She had never heard the mirrors so busy! So many students calling in, worried about today.
For some reason, when her alarm went off the next morning, it totally slipped her mind as to what day it was, until----
"Oh JAAAAAACK~" She had rushed out in a panic, clothes and hair ribbons flying everywhere, only to get there and realize she'd gotten everything she had wanted to bring.
Whoops.
Clearing her throat, the tiny little mirror ghost dishevelled her hair in the most fashionable way, and took a seat at a very empty table, her hands folded in front of her.

George ran back and forth on the table as Snowman continued to greet guests that were looking at his Booth. As he talked about some of the things he's done while with the school and some of the field trips he was in Snowman noticed he had gathered a rather large grouping of those interested in hiring him.
A lot of them were looking at his trips to Christmas town and the broken skellyvision. A lot of people were placing their cards in a cracked teapot that was sitting on the table. "Oh... that's George's hom-- please don't put...." Snowman frowned as George was squeaking angerly. "It's okay George I'll get them out. I promise."
He started to take out the cards when he noticed how many there were. "Wow George look at how many cards I got. I must've been very impressive, right George?"
