Post 275 Tsuki: 26 In the hustle of the nights events, it was no wonder some rocks fell on the cave. Epsilon, emotionless and uncaring for the moment took this opportunity. The rock monster found a Protector and a Leaf Stone. Interesting. What was the saying? Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Gage had everything under control, in his opinion, and now one of the Admins had to show his ugly scarred face. Not feeling so very hospitable towards Des, there was no wonder why with major threats on the table. And so, he continued on with the charade, just 'now' seeming to come-to thanks to the Ranger's efforts. Sitting up and holding his aching head, which did really hurt, Gage looked around, a slightly bewildered look on his face. His gaze eventually came to rest on Tsuki, making him grimace. Now he was incensed upon seeing the Eevee-Umbreon again. "That your pokemon, kid?" He sounded rightfully cross, and glancing only briefly at Des as though to say, I've got this all under control, Gage climbed to his feet. "I said, is that your damned pokemon, kid?" He snapped. "Because you sure gotta lotta nerve letting it run around wild like that. It 'bout knocked the living daylights out of me with its Quick Attack. I was trying to catch the thing, but I didn't know it belonged to you. I sure didn't see any trainer about. Tch, for all I care you're welcome to it. Your Umbreon is psychotic." Wiping the back of his hand against his mouth, Gage checked for any bleeding on his face. "I'm outta here, if that's okay with you, princess." Maybe that last jab was for Des, maybe it wasn't, because he was looking at Chael. Or, you know, do it that way too. And stand up to a superior officer. Cheeky b*****d. He would get his just desserts for failing to heed his warning, though this defeat was probably going to affect Gage. Well, whether or not he could get over it was another story, as Des simply did not care about what would happened to Gage, ever since the first warning before the dumbass decided to attack the Eevee, You couldn't even find those this far out. And it had a Soothe Bell around it. A wild Pokemon wasn't able to get that normally. Gage's last remark irritated Des slightly. The idiot really was trying to oppose his superior in rank. The Litwick on Des's shoulder looked like it was about to do something, but the Ranger stopped her. "No. No Hexing people." he said. Not yet, anyway..."If that's what really happened, you should go get that checked out then." he said, before turning to face Nolan and Chael. "And you two, you can't let your Pokemon roam freely on their own like that. Just because you can't normally find some Pokemon in some areas doesn't mean a Trainer didn't release it there. When you let them roam freely like that and you're not around to watch over them and claim them as yours, there's nothing stopping another Trainer from thinking your Pokemon is a Pokemon released back into the wild in the wrong place or abandoned. Keep your Pokemon close to you at all times, as this entire incident could have been avoided if you didn't let all your Pokemon out to play and then fail to pay attention to them." he added irritably. "Especially you, Nolan. Were you aware that your Servine or Aron could have been captured if they wander further than the Pokeball's Recall mechanism's range? It's not like your Pokemon have tags or the technology is advanced enough to recall your Pokemon from miles away. Both you and Chael are far too lax with keeping an eye on your Pokemon." 64

Nolan originally thought he was just one of those trees kids dressed up as in kindergarten school plays - in the background. He was taken aback when the Ranger's words of warning applied to him as well. Truthfully, he hadn't thought of such a thing happening before, that another trainer could mistaken his pokemon for being wild. Servine didn't like Des at all, her nose in the air, arms crossed in the stereotypical Grass Snake position. Who was he to boss her around, and tell her trainer she wasn't able to take care of herself? If only she could say as much, yet humans were too stupid to understand pokemon speech. "Serrrr." She just hissed instead. Nolan immediately felt repentant for his mistake, and swiftly recalled Servine and Aron so they couldn't get into anymore trouble on their own. Only Valor remained, and that Luxray wouldn't want to leave Nolan's side anyway, even if someone took a crowbar to pry him away. "Sorry ..." ((wait, what? I didn't think there was even recall mechanism. I always figured the Pokeball radiated it with some energy that's unique to it, making it uncatchable. Like in the manga or anime when Pikachu gets far from Ash because of Team Rocket. I think that happened in the DiamondPearl series and Dawn tried catching him, but the Pokeball didn't work.)) Post 276 Tsuki: 27 Gage may have had Nolan and that one guy tricked, but not Chael. He knew how he worked. No remorse and mostly harsh. An idiot trainer would give up an Eevee. Even if they did, they'd be sure to take it's item, especially if it's as useful as a Soothe Bell. Bruce, Lizzy, Fear, and Epsilon returned to their Pokeballs on their own. "I apologize, I was unaware that a Pokemon that was caught, could be caught again if it got too far." Chael said, to Lukas/Des and not to Gage. As for the him? Chael would make him eat his own words from the day before. Argos gave the same response as Servine: a low pitched hiss. Crossing his arms, Chael said to Gage "Try teaching your Houndoom to listen and back down. How did you say this to me about Argos? Oh yes, I'd say your Houndoom is pretty useless too if he don't realize who's boss." With having quoted Gage and using it against him, Chael exited the cave. Tsuki followed after with one last look at Gage. It was clear both of their dark type's fight was long from over. And then the fox chased after his exiting trainer and his other team member outside his ball. Once outside, Chael would lean against a wall at the opening of the cave. It was night still, almost 11 pm if he was correct. He just needed some space to blow off some steam. He saw his new bounty, graciously given by his stone statue. Tsuki would rub his leg, demanding he be pet after tonight. "Obnoxious." was what the boy said as he kneeled and scratched him behind his ear. A slow smile spread over Gage's face as the kid spoke. Little did Chael know what was really going on in that conniving brain of Gage's, yet if he did know, he probably wouldn't like it either. Houndoom was going to get some praises later on, stepping up to the plate exactly as Gage had hoped. Yet there had been that little slip up when Houndour would have rather eaten that little Eevee instead of letting Gage steal it. Oh well, no one was perfect, and that's what he got for catching his pokemon at such a high level - they were powerful yet untrained. Glancing over at Des, the smile gradually faded. "I'll get myself checked out, right away." And with that he walked off, letting the kids play around with the big scary Admin - what was a guy like Des doing anyway hanging out with such losers? Beating his hasty retreat, once he was out of sight and out of the cave, Gage helped his Houndoom with a Potion. And without saying a word, the two went on search for fossils late at night. (( I'm saving my Fire Stone for a possible future Arcanine, but I sure can hold onto one for you if I find an extra. )) After the guy who battled the Umbreon left, and Chael stalked off, that just left Nolan and his Luxray with Desiderio. He scratched the back of his head, knowing he should get back quickly to Blyse again. The day had gone by incredibly fast, and truthfully, he wasn't feeling sleepy at all. But afraid of the dark? ... Nolan could safely said he wasn't worried at all with someone as capable as the Ranger nearby. And the big powerful Gleam lion at Nolan's side had a lot to do with it to. He couldn't stop himself from repeatedly petting Valor's glorious black mane, and Valor certainly did still happily absorb all the extra affection like usual. Yet, Nolan would rather see the surrounding area better if he could, and taking Des as an example, Litwick came out of his pokeball again. Careful with his gloved hands, and holding the Candle just so it was Nolan always leading the way, the pokemon shed some more light on the matter. It looked like once Nolan learned a lesson, it stuck. While Valor sniffed at the ghostly Candle, Nolan introduced him to the Luxray, also christening him with his new nickname. "Valor, meet Litwick, our newest friend. I'm going to name him Candlejack, if that's okay with-" The Litwick laughed silently. (( Well, well, well ... I should go on a Legendary catching spree now. )) Nolan had cut himself off, thinking he heard something, and he glanced out into the night. Valor did not seem so concerned, but unhindered by the darkness, was watching something float through the area - his head bobbing and turning as he tracked its progress. Nolan found himself holding his breath, but pretty sure there was nothing out there, he turned around and suddenly screamed. A Yamask holding a silver mask stared at Nolan with baleful yellow eyes. In its hands was a purple pokeball, and winding up the pitch, pegged Nolan in the head - trying to capture the human. Yamask blinked slowly after the Masterball just bounced off and rolled, and Nolan was white as a sheet, holding his forehead. Valor meowed a hello, and Nolan seemed to snap out of his terror. Even Candlejack was flickering his flame, welcoming the other ghost. Yamask sighed and picked up the ball again. Nolan, unsure what to do now, just eyed the silent pokemon. "You can go away now. Post 277 Chael would take the Soothe Bell off Tsuki's neck, pocketing it as he did so. He let Gage pass without any problems. Two of his Pokemon had been whooped by Chael's so he let the man have his imaginary victory. Hearing some noise in the cave, he figured it was Nolan or that one guy. "Hey, I'm heading back to Route one for a bit. I had planned on evolving Tsuki into an Espeon but... yeah." he said, walking off. He still needed an Espeon and this would scratch Zoroark off his list for now. Yamask wasn't going anywhere. He had thrown the Masterball, which has a 100% capture rate after all, and now wanted to make sure his human didn't get into any trouble. Nolan, however, didn't find this amusing at all. He kept edging away whenever Yamask got too close and started grooming his black hair. It reminded Nolan way too much of how he had been petting Valor's black mane. Besides that, he didn't want a strange ghost touching him. "Go away! I mean it!" It wasn't going to be that easy. Nolan ran for it in a random direction, hoping to just confuse the Yamask and lose it that way. Candlejack made a small yelp, and Valor gave his human a strange look, yet followed right after. Yamask started to chide Nolan for being a bad pokemon, giving chase. "Aaaaagh, help me! Go away! Go away!" Des watched as everyone went their separate ways and Nolan found a Master Ball, only to be hit by it by a Yamask who now thought it was the Trainer and Nolan the Pokemon. He chuckled as he watched the boy panic as Blue dug around some more. Blue pawed at his Trainer, holding a Water Stone in his mouth. Huh... so many stones, so little time. And not one of them was a stone he wanted. 65
