Sharpie of course was happy enough for the petting. It wasn't a hug but with all those needles he couldn't exactly blame the ghoul for not instantly scooping him up and cuddling him like a good scarling would do.
"I do admit, he is a nice looking cat. Much more unique then other Mini's you see running around." He crouched down with Lattice adding his own hands to the petting. "Even if he has a smart little mouth."
The cat of course only grinned even more. "Made of ink or not Miss Lattice, I am quiet happy to share some with you anytime you need it. He raised a paw swatting lazily at Lattice leaving a tiny paw print on her hand where he could.

Oookay! Clearly Haze did not know this boil, nor was he happy with the boil pulling at his feelers like that. Even after being asked to stop he was still at it. What a little troublemaker.... It was up to the grim reaper to put an end to this kids shenanigans!
Just as soon as the spriggan yelled out 'Rapunzel,' and reached for the swamp dragon's horns, the grim reaper also reached out and snatched the smaller creature by the back of his coat and the bandages, that was wrapped around his shoulder, and held him there.
It was like holding a puppy by the scruff...
"I think you've caused enough trouble for Haze today, kid. You should apologize to him 'kay? And maybe if you ask nicely, he'll let you touch his horns." She suggested, refusing to let the spriggan go. At least, not until he gave her an answer.

"Depends," Boozle drawled, shoving his hands into his pockets and staring at the food court warily. "Will they try shovin' sparkly stuff onto the food, too?" There were people all around, some of whom he'd watch go in without him making himself known. Others who he'd never seen in his life--LOTS of others he'd never seen before. Reluctantly he started for the food court, visions of sparkling food flashing through his mind, making him remember a few more... terrifying experiences back home.

“Come on. There’s nae way they woods do ‘at.” However, Dev’s wary glances at the restaurants and food stalls said otherwise. Then she straightened her shoulders, lips curled into a firm line. She wasn’t going to let the prospect of funky foods deter her. Dev was going to thoroughly explore the maul and she was going to enjoy it, Jack dammit.
She walked next to Boozle and looked relieved as she began to spot some familiar store names. “Where do ye want tae go? Ah see a Pumpkin’ Kin’ an’ Stubway. Surely they won’ have sparkles on their food, but if ye see a better place ahm fine with ‘at.”

"Pizza," he said, pointing to the pizza place. He didn't bother to look at the sign, he was staring at the pizzas in the glass window at the front. "Not a jackin' sparkle to be seen," he told her with a hint of relief. His hand came up, then fell, a sure sign that he was missing his smoke. Like a child deprived of their binkie. "So, since we're on a date, you're supposed to go on for an hour or so about you, right?" he said. "That's what always happens."

Freya watched as Lattice shied away from the idea of flirting, and then... innocently found herself flirting with someone anyway. The valkyrie bit her lip to keep from giggling, as she took the boil, False, in with a very keen gaze. Up and down, checking him out, to make her assessment. After all, Lattice only deserved the best.
She finally checked her text messages, as Lattice and False chatted, and her expression went from pleased to white as a sheet with horror.
And then the screaming began.
"WHAAAAAAA~AAAAAAA~TTTTTTTTTT????!?!"

Sebastian let out another sigh. This was going to be a long trip, wasn't it? He was about to turn and explain to the poor ghoul what he meant, when he found her already dashing over to the scarebucks, which was still easily 20 feet away. For a split second, he thought about just leaving her there, but then realized that would be horrible. Instead, he just decided to walk after her, and eventually catch up. Sebastian didn't run.
When he heard her order, he couldn't help but shake his head. As Brit asked him what he'd get, he calmly said, "I'll take a grande peppermint mocha." Worriedly, he looked at Brit, then back at the cashier. He leaned in, trying to keep Brit from hearing. She was probably zoning off anyways, but he wanted to make sure not to hurt her feelings. "And, uh, she'll have a tall peppermint mocha and ... " He paused to look hesistantly at her, "And ... one spookie please."
He could at least give her one. Hopefully Brit would either forget what she ordered, or not understand how scarebucks worked.

Lattice smiled lightly slowly calming down, "I think he's charming, and thank you Sharpie I appreciate the offer," she said as she pet Sharpie behind the ear and then Freya screamed and the Engraver stood upright suddenly turning toward her friend with eyes widening behind her mask.
What was it!?
"Freya! What is it? What is wrong?!" Lattice was having a day. A strange day. A day that was meant for foxfires and was now ... Just this. "Did something happen? Another rat?"
Lattice had no real concept of eyephones and text messages.

"Hm? Ah, yes. I am a student as well." So Neil and Anna, they were students too? She had not met them yet! Aaaah such a large student body! "O-oh! Yes! I-I also love your dress!" Again, Siobhan seemed to be attempting to emulate Ri-Ri, having devloped a fondness of the ghoul's energy and attitude.

Did Lou enjoy shopping? Oh, of course he did. Did Lou have the money FOR shopping? Oh hell no he didn't. This young vampire had many stereotypes about him, but the one he failed to fall under was wealth. It didn't bother him, though. Truth be told, little could bother Mr. Ferre. Not when there was so much misery happening to his fellow halloweeners.
There was a strut about him as he burst through the automatic doors, a cocky grin about his pale face. "Lllllllllllllllladies~" He cooed... To no one in-particular. One thing the hormonal teenage undead was sure of was that... Women loved shopping. Ergo, he could pick up the chicks that were shopping with his...
... Smooth...
Moves. Yeah, totally. Moreover, he had an adorable, equally vampiric kushi at his side. Chicks liked small fuzzy things, right? "Shall we, Stiletto?" He'd named it... After a shoe heel? Dear sweet Jack.
As he walked deeper into the chasm that was the shopping center, his air of confidence was more like an odor. Every ghoul he passed received a wink, and every guy he passed received a quick search for an easily accessible wallet.

Freya's eyes started tearing up as she turned the phone around and held it out to Lattice.
"M-M-Mac.. he is is means.. he says.. he says.."
Freya's eyes narrowed, refusing to let the stupid boil get to her. "Mac is a stupids terrible boil who says stupids terrible things." Freya growled, snapping her phone shut. "And I have a boilfriend to buy gifts for." She held her hand out for Lattice. "A good, strong boilfriend who would NEVER TRY TO SELL ME."
... that was an odd thing to say, if one had not seen the text she'd gotten from Mac.
"Come on Lattice, we goes shopping for foxfires."

Brit was trying to pay attention because she knew how much cashiers hated it when you drifted off in the middle of ordering but- but shiny lights. So many shiny sparkle Frightlight bugs. She wanted one.
There was subtle twitch as Seb finished the first part of his order before with a childish squeal of glee Brit started chasing one of the bugs around the scarebucks, thus completely missing him changing her aweseome order.
The chase ended with Brit clapping her hands around the poor mini and tripping into a chair at a two person table.
"Staaay little pretty light and keep our table yes?" The mini in question seemed to petriefied to move so Brit happily made her way back to Sebastian and the cashier, fishing out her purse as she did so.
Plopping down what she thought was the correct amount of silver seeds for her order, but was now obviously way too much, she turned towards Sebastian with a smile.

His tail flicked with interest as Lattice flustered as she said she was not only available, but clearly not one to be that experienced on the dating scene. He was rather surprised any ghoul her age wouldn't be a bit more active with other boils, but he didn't mind at all. There was an appeal to those who didn't know any better. Lead the way to the wild side and all that deviously good entertainment. He leaned forward around Freya to beam at Lattice. "There are MANY reasons someone would want to date you. You're pleasing to the eyes, the ears, and .." He licked his lips to consider a moment. "Taste and touch. I'm sure you're a delight to many more senses. Someone is going to snatch you up if you're not careful." I.E. Him.
And that was when Freya flipped out, and TG nearly fell off the table as she freaked out, looking at her phone. When he regained his balance, he grew excited, hoping the Blue SOB had decided to pull a text dump right here and now. Whatever it was, he knew she was upset, and there was something about her boilfriend trying to sell her. PERFECT!
"Aww. There there, Dear. Diamonds like you need to be kept safe and treasured. You're priceless. No one has the right to sell you." He stood up, and opened her hands out to her. Yes, he wanted a hug. "That boilfriend of yours just sounds awful. Here you are going to buy him something special and he is doing this. Come here." TG moved in for a consoling hug, glad to be here when she was going through such an emotional time.

“Ye pure don’ want sparkles on yer food, do ye?” Amused, Dev grinned. Heck, maybe these sparkles and funky decorations weren’t so bad after all—but she still didn’t want any suspicious shinies on her pizza. She threw him a confused look as he brought a hand up and quickly put it back down. “What was ‘at?”
“Date? Yoo’re just jokin’ wi’ me, right?” Dev immediately went from entertained to cautiously suspicious. The chances of it being another sort of lie seemed probable, but then she threw all care out the window. She was going to have fun with this. “Not always, but if ye let me ahm sure ah can,” she answered, pulling his arm toward Pumpkin King. “An’ afterwards we’ll go shoppin’ an’ yoo’ll carry th’ bags like a good boil.” Her grip on Boozle’s arm tightened as she looked back at him, smiling.

TG's words confused Lattice at least a little bit though she wasn't sure what to say back, "U...Ummm..Th..Thank you very much TG. That is...very kind to say?" her voice trailed off to an uncertain squeak. Composure? What's that? Apparently she had none today.
She 'looked' at the phone and wasn't sure what to do with it since she could not see the screen but right now with as distraught as her Freya was she was glad to humor her while listening to her words to get clues as to what had happened.
Mac? A familiar name.
"Mac does sound terrible," she said softly as she took Freya's hand and nodded, "Herryk would never do that to you." This she said with confidence and certainty as she squeezed the Valkyrie's hand in comfort and when Freya made note that it was time to shop for Foxfires she was glad to agree.
"Yes. Let us go." She said quietly.
