As the magnetokinetic munched on his snack mix, one of the people (Rob) in the group that was their prior to his arrival had waved him over, and from what Eli analyzed, to be a joke followed by a cheesy pun. He looked to the faces around the group, all of which he hadn't recognized.

Lillian had spoken up, stating she'd seen him around, but he couldn't say the same for her. Grabbing a handful of his snack mix and consuming it, he simply had a blank stare as he continued to eat. He knew, logically, that he had to socialize with the other mutants for better teamwork in the field, but his social awkwardness kept tugging at the back of his mind, making him second guess himself. Aurelie, who was obviously playing into Rob's joke, made a comment about being good. He raised an eyebrow and shot a her a 'what the hell' look. This was definitely going to be interesting. However he didn't see it as that, yet, maybe if his shell was ever broken and his social awkwardness ceased, it'd be something to laugh back on.

Hesitantly, he stood up and walked over to the group, double backing on his thoughts, he sat down, of course at the furthest point in the circle that distanced himself still. In his mind, progress. In reality, still many barriers to hurdle.

"I'm Eli." He said, giving yet again another awkward wave, "It's nice to meet you all."

Rob strategically stayed out of the conversation about the nurses and their lovely disposition. Being at their mercy as a patient was one thing, but getting pushed, prodded, poked, and yelled at while working under them was a completely different kettle of fish. What ever the reason was, Rob favoured the thought that someone seriously pissed them off in the past life, they could just been spiteful and mean, and he didn't want to risk adding vindictive to the list. But then again, it could have just been because it was an extremely stressful situation, to say the least.

When he turned to Bianca, he hadn't expected her face to have gone so red. Not that he knew his way around colour swatches, but he could have sworn she was maybe a handful of shades short of a strawberry... if that. He had to admit, combined with her bashful response, it was quite cute.
"Don't be so hard on yourself," he offered with a warm smile. "If you were a dull person, do you really think you'd be surrounded by," he started to count the faces in the group but, okay, so he got bored after three and just swept his arms towards them to make his point, "all these smiling faces? Besides, worst case scenario, I'm sure there'll be plenty of other people making fools of themselves to keep us entertained." At least Aurelie seemed pleased with the outcome, and Lillian offered words similar to his own.

When he invited the newcomer over, the rest of the group played along with his older-than-old introductory joke, for the most part at least. After a pause of uncertainty that seemed to take forever, giving Rob more than enough time to contemplate taking the conversation to Eli if he didn't want to cooperate, he finally stood up and moved over to join them, though still distantly, before introducing himself.
"It's nice to meet you too, Eli, I'm Rob." With the palpable social awkwardness coming off the guy, the politeness felt necessary. Though apparently Lillian had met him before. "So how are you adjusting to being on an active junior X-men team?" Rob's question surprised himself as it passed his lips. It was a slightly deeper question than what he had intended it to be, and for a moment he pondered his own response to it. Of course, the only effect he really noticed was that it was just another bunch of new faces to learn. He had a hard time developing emotional attachment for there to really be any other... side effect.

Gideon fled the scene. What a…Flatscan reaction to being ignored. It was pathetic, and she hated this Isabella all the more for it. She’d made him weak…So weak. It was disgusting.

If it bothered the shape shifter to stand so near to someone that had made her look something like an abused Irish house-wife more than once; No one would have known. For all intents and purposes her gunmetal blue eyes were playfully dark, tainted only by a metallic edge. Though it could have easily been mistaken for a bit of the panther lingering within her when she returned to human form.

She inwardly found that Leonardo Rossi’s silence was satisfying… Katarina had so many questions that she would have loved to pepper him with. She was a professional spy for pour l'amour de Dieu {For the love of God}…Gathering information was her specialty. Along with eliminating targets that either got in the way of her objective…Or were her objective. Not knowing something before everyone else felt absolutely ridiculous…

The new Alpha ignored the brunette harpy for the time being, after insulting her…She was inconsequential to her current goals. An entertaining distraction, at best…Someone to blame for ruining X-20. She rolled her left shoulder upward, the action surprisingly innocent and without thought…For some reason her ears were ringing. The lingering senses left over from her shift, she assumed…But the noise, the high pitched noise… Her eyes flickered towards the cracking glass next to Isabella, and her lips curved into a perfect smirk.

Someone was unhappy and couldn’t control her powers.

How sweet.

The boy with the cigarettes greeted her, stealing her attention from her main target for a moment. His gold eyes were…Interesting. She passed him a blithe wink, as if she weren’t being incredibly rude to and manipulative to two other individuals on the porch. She almost felt bad for Leonardo…But then she hardened. Feeling anything at all was what got her in trouble in the first place.

But the “former” S.H.I.E.L.D agent could handle himself…Unless something this sound-witch had ruined this man too. How had she gotten her talons into two of the most dangerous men she knew of? The whole concept was lost on her…Laughable. A former agent turning soft and gentle? Preaching mutant liberalism? Then again it was just as laughable to think of a “former” H.Y.D.R.A agent taking refuge in an X-Men compound… And that was true…Was it not?

Still. No one simply quit working for Nicholas Fury. Not unless they were dead. And even then…It was questionable. It was a story she was…Sorely curious of.

Her eyes flickered back to Leonardo when he spoke, and her head tilted in mock curiosity. She played the part of a forgotten lover well. Just as she played any part to perfection…A lost friend, a business woman, a distraught mother…She had so many faces, so many personalities at her disposal… Sometimes it was just entertaining to Russian Roulette her way through them and see how her asset reacted. He apologized, in a manner of speaking…And she seemed to consider it.

That is, until the Alpha leader rudely interrupted.

Katarina rolled her eyes, dragging her gaze back towards the woman as if it pained her to do so.

“If I would have known, Miss Stone, that the Xavier Compound had such…fine specimens of the male gender enlisted… I may have jumped ship long ago. But I don’t have to explain that to you… Since you already seem to enjoy them well enough.”, her words were punctuated with a deep seated sense of dislike…Clearly referring to the fact that she thought the girl a harlot for sitting around in a group with three other men—And the fact that she’d tensed when her lover passed by.

Something was wrong with that fairy-tale picture.

She watched the boy with the oddly intriguing accent walk away…Noting that his gaze was the furthest from friendly. He was the one who’d been so gravely injured by Victor Creed. It was a shame—Because as she’d previously mentioned…All of the men on the grounds were above average, and he was no exception… And surprisingly enough, were fairly intelligent… At least that was what she had gleaned from running around as a kitten most of the time. She had assumed upfront that disrespecting their little leader would cause waves…But she wasn’t there to make friends.

Just to survive.

And now to annoy the woman who had possibly ruined her chances at doing so.

“And don’t worry…Mr. Rossi likes it when I come on strong.”, Katarina continued without missing a beat, her primrose colored lips forming a perfect vixen smile as her gaze turned back to the man in question. “And I think he likes it when I make him squirm.”

She paused, brushing her waving hair behind her ear for a moment—As if this concept took serious consideration…The placement of her hand on her side reminded her of the mark that still remained from the last time they’d fought. It was healed entirely, but the scar would never completely fade…Though it grew considerably lighter with the time that had passed. “After all…There are much naughtier things I could do—Are there not, Mr. Rossi?”

“But such things can be discussed without an audience.”
, she added, the thought there…The invitation extended, that she did indeed wish to discuss things with him later on.

She heard this Roland character chuckle at her expense, and she turned back towards him…Hearing fluent Italian out of him a complete surprise. Who would have thought that the X-Men harbored individuals with actual culture? Deciding that she’d tortured the S.H.I.E.L.D agent and the sound-witch enough for the time being…Her sights landed on the one that sat….Whittling? What a strange…Pointless hobby. Still, the boy was the furthest thing from unattractive; And actually spoke her native tongue. It gave him some small leeway with her.

Katarina moved down towards him with a grace and surety that seemed wrong for a human. As if she spent too much time being something else. “That’s cute advice…”

“But let’s try something else. When you get done with that…Why don’t you come find me and I’ll show you my claws…”
, she trailed off, casting what would have been a lovely smile—Were it not so secretive. What she truly meant would be up for him to decide. “Poi potete dirmi se si sentono come essi appartengono a un gattino o un leone…” {Then you can tell me if they feel like they belong to a kitten or a lion…}

Turning about she moved down the stairs, waving over her shoulder as she headed towards the direction X-20 had run in… Turning her head only to call out a playful, “Ciao!”

These X-Men were so entertaining.

No worries? Does that mean you don’t find me attractive Daylia?”, Narcissa questioned, her tone slipping from the clipped tenseness that she’d taken upon seeing the photograph Roland had accidentally dropped on his way out. It would be nigh impossible to tell if the girl was seriously, or simply teasing…No one truly seemed to know what her preferences were—Since her ‘sexy phase’ a few years ago. Back to the point…Why Roland was carrying a picture of her around in his back pocket was…Disconcerting. If vaguely…creeper-ific. She hadn’t gotten a great look at it…Perhaps it had simply been some other blond. "I'm hurt."

But the brief glance she’d seen as it fell had looked…So much like her. Aren was his roommate—Perhaps he would know something about it.

Narcissa went about to measuring Daylia with the same clinical precision that she had everyone else before her…It didn’t seem to matter to the sun goddess in the slightest that she had a girl in her skivvies in her room—With several males exiting. The dorms on either side of her were going to think she was running a brothel or had entered the slave trade.

Ah, more rumors that she was quite happy to perpetuate.

“If you need a story to tell everyone Aria—I’ve got dozens. Tell them I lit your hair on fire…Or blinded you for wearing colors that clash. Or had a wild orgy all afternoon. A satanic orgy.”, Narcissa returned dryly, azure eyes cool as they swept over those in the room. People would believe just about anything. “Or if you ask nicely, I can actually cut your finger off and then we can call Elixir to come heal your stump. Your choice.”

“Though we’d have to do that in the bathroom. White carpet and blood don’t mix well.”

Once again, the scars on the person she was measuring went unnoticed. Narcissa was so used to seeing them by this point that they didn’t phase her anymore. She didn’t usually see them, or any kind of deformity, until someone pointed it out—Or she was looking for it. Hearing a knock on the door she absent-mindedly called to come in. Only after the fact realizing that the person at the door was a male and she was about to have three very underdressed females in the room.

Not saying anything she ushered Daylia behind an ornate dressing screen. “Far be it from me to sully your dignity. At least not for something so droll.”

Some women were such prudes… And rather than take a consensus, of who cared who saw who naked—It was better just to hide it. The boys had been given the same option, but they seemed just fine with stripping. Her phone went off and she checked it…Felix had better be at least half as amusing as he came off—Or else she would be locking her date in the closet alone so she could go steal someone else’s.

Hearing Christian ask to have what Felix was having, Narcissa chuckled darkly—double checking Daylia’s waist with what she’d written before, making sure it was right. Christian…I never knew you felt that way.”

“If you want what he had—His tongue just got up close and personal with my tonsils…”
, the sun goddess teased, her mood seeming to have leveled out for the time being. But that was always subject to change. What had infuriated her moments before amused her now. But how else was she going to put her team on their toes? “And I think there was some bad touching—Now that you mention it.”

That may have been Narcissa slapping Felix.

“But have a seat—And I’ll be with you soon. We can discuss what service you get then.”

She finished measuring Daylia soon after, and asked her a few short questions—More than she’d asked the boys. She figured they didn’t care much. “Sleeves or no sleeves? Color preference? Long or short? Heels or flats? Glitzy or Matte? How do we feel about cut outs?”

Granted, Narcissa would choose what she wanted anyway…But she liked to give them the illusion of choice.

After finishing with Daylia, she repeated the process with Aria and Quinn...Christian would likely find himself amused by the silly banter that went back and fourth until his turn. Narcissa was too distracted by the photograph to be too scathing. In which case she gave him the same instructions that she’d given Roland, when his turn came up. “All right, love. Get naked.”

It was accompanied by a sassy smirk that hinted to the fact that she didn’t exactly expect him to drop trousers and go commando. Moreso, so alleviate discomfort at stripping down in front of someone he didn’t particularly like…She waited seemingly impatiently, though she didn’t hint at him needing to speed up on anything of the sort. It was simply her normal demeanor for everyone else… To be self centered, cruel, and fairly evil.

If she started being too soft with them now, their enemies would rip through them like wet paper towels. And she wouldn’t be to blame for their deaths because she’d coddled them. Azure eyes moved down his torso once it was bared…Not in a way that would have been uncomfortable. Just as with everyone else her touch and gaze was like that of a physician. Quick, and only when necessary. Impersonal.

She was careful of the measuring tape where the wound had been. “That looks a lot better than the last time I saw it.”

“How did your session with Colossus go?”

Narcissa didn’t bother to elaborate or explain anything…How she knew what his wound had looked like...How she knew of his session that day. If she had her way, the next time Sabertooth crossed their paths… She would burn him to a cinder, for what he’d done. No one harmed her Omega’s…Nearly killed her Omega’s—Without facing her wrath. No exceptions.

"Well, I hope. Because with things going the way they are..The Academy will need you."

Narcissa out the finishing touches on her makeup, powdering her nose once more…Just because she didn’t care about the function didn’t mean that she didn’t have a reputation to uphold. There were just other things that worried her…With the approval of the Registration Act things were getting scary within the city limits. She was glad that they lived far enough outside of it, that the police wouldn’t just stumble across them…But on the downside, if law enforcement came…They were looking for them.

Then there would be problems.

Why? Because so far, the Academy had refused to register any of the students or professors. Letters had been sent home to parents expressing their concerns… And all had signed off that they agreed to wait and see exactly what happened before placing their children in mortal danger. There was still no word of what happened to mutants that the city officials found dangerous.

But for the evening…She would put the troubles of the world on the back burner. She’d spent the past week dwelling on it… Constantly looking out windows. Listening to word or instruction from Emma. All anyone had been told so far was to lay low.

Students that needed to leave campus to ascertain anything for Prom would have been escorted off campus in small groups of three—With a Professor at their sides at all times. Just to be safe… And only during daytime hours. There were reports of strange things happening at night… Mutants somehow disappearing right off the streets and landing in custody.

Or just outright disappearing.

Everything that she had specifically ordered for the Omega’s had arrived two days prior…They would have all been fitted by a seamstress that the blond had hired—Every possible aspect of clothing covered.

Transportation was being handled as it usually was…Limo’s hadn’t been brought in for the short trip. Students that had their own vehicles were allowed to drive to Frontier University…Those that didn’t could borrow a car from the Academy—And those that didn’t drive could be taken driven by Sam Guthrie in one of the larger X-Vehicles.

The dance and dining hall in the University where the older mutants took their college courses—Just about a mile away from the school had been spared no expense. Emma had allowed the students to have some say…But had otherwise taken over, turning everything in a lighted, glittering wonderland. The theme was generic ‘A Night to Remember…’—With every square inch decorated in silver, white, and deep blue.

Throwing parties seemed to be Emma’s calling. Perhaps that was what being evil taught. Party throwing.

Glancing at the clock—Her date had approximately thirty seconds to arrive. Or she was leaving without him, and melting his tires. She did not accept tardiness.

Dimitri gave out a scoff, releasing it through his nose along with a careless shrug as he got "wow'ed' from the chameleon. As for worrying about him taking offense about the electric slide there was none taken. Dimitri was on the same side she was on and hoped that the electric slide can take a break from this event. Or if it did play at least be one of the closing songs...the songs that take place where nobody is on the dance floor except the people cleaning up the joint. "Oh i hope they don't play it either." he told her. "Because my body will surrender to the rhythm." On a serious note he wasn't going to feel the electric slide unless everybody did it. But there were a few people who would have made that impossible and Dimitri could see why. "I take it you weren't a fan of the hokey pokey as a child?...or Limp Biskit?" he asked with a small grin to go with his question in the end; in response to her other dance comment. Immediately he wanted to shout out "Chocolate Starfish!" the same way Limp Biskit but he held back his desire.

"I see you like to torture yourself as well." Dimtiri laughed, referring to Daylia's decision on wearing heels to the prom. "You don't have to put yourself through that pain to look good for me....I don't wanna be held responsible." The Playboy began to feel it in his calf muscles after walking on the balls of his feet for a few minutes. The only difference was that his calf muscles improved and eventually looked hella sexy while wearing heels all day resulted in sore feet. On the other hand it opened the door for Dimitri to move as quick as Felix when it came to their relationship; massage her feet while they watch movies afterwards? That was if things went a certain way of course. Another laugh escaped from the Playboy; this time a deeper laugh when she criticized Dimitri for not using piss if she were to get caught on fire. Really? Piss? He liked that she had that sense of humor. It took a special type of sick person to get a smile from that. "Well I guesss I could squat and bust an R.Kelly on you. I'd have to film it though so i could show the young mutants and kids how to properly douse a good fire. The way it was meant to be." If the Chameleon was going to deliver more of that humor, then they were both going to have a good, funny night regardless if the prom went well or if it went to s**t.

When it came to their plans before, Daylia insisted that the Playboy can choose where they can get their grub on before Prom. The fact that she didn't have any dislike about food made it easier for him to come down to a place where they can go. "Alright, we'll go get a few slices of pizza then."

And with that, their night was planned. The question that Hoshi had was backed up with answers from Dimitri, Daylia and the blonde chick. Dimitri's questions however were only answered by fifty percent. In other words he was blown off by Hoshi it seemed but not by Alex. Dimitri listened and gave a nod in support when she explained that her studies were keeping her away from focusing on prom. "Yeah i know what you mean school wise. And you should go I mean i need somebody to cheer me on if i do the cabbage patch. I have to meet my quota haha." As for Hoshi she didn't seem like that type of chick however. Either she didn't know that he asked a question or she really was into poking her meal. "It's okay let her finish." he told his blonde teammate, softly poking fun towards Hoshi. They were both waiting and would be left wondering if she was going to go to prom or if she was going to stay out of it. "I guess she's not going..I think i scared her off."

Dimitri and the blonde girl soon found out that wasn't the case. It turns out that she was just in a deep thought about where she grew up. Dimitri could relate, at least when it came to zoning out so good that everything around you cease to exist for a short amount of time. It was also revealed that she indeed would be meeting them at prom but going solo. "Hey it's no problem at all and its good to hear you'll be there. Be sure to cheer for me if i do the cabbage patch also."

Dimitri was almost done with his meal replacement drink before he was going to leave. From there he would ponder on whether he would hang out with the other mutants around campus or pick out something for prom. But he could spend some time with the blonde chick and Hoshi before he would head out. It never killed him to get to know some of his Alpha peers. One of them may end up saving his a** one day. "Naw i don't mind go for it." he said in an enthusiastic tone.

"Nice to meet you Alexandra. Name's Dimitri."

With the three of them there he thought it would be wise to get the regular questions one asks new people out of the way. "Where you guys from? Im from good ol Cali, where its hot all season and i can wear beach gear all year round." Anyone who lived in cali knew that it got cold at times but with Dimitri's talents it was possible for him to stay warm all season in the coldest conditions. One of the better perks that came with his talents.

The Playboy would spend a good amount of time hanging out with Alex and Hoshi before something came up or they had something to do. From there the day was his to relax, pick something out to wear, get some grub with Daylia and get ready for prom. Almost half an hour before it was time go get something to eat with the chameleon "You see the thing about clothes..." he trailed to himself as he was looking for something good to wear in his room from his attire. Or if Rossi was there in the room then if was safe to say he was addressing him as well. "Is that because of my physique I look...so damn good in everything that i wear. Its an automatic win. I could show up to this b***h in a gimp outfit with the gag ball and everything and STILL look better than most humans." It didn't take long for Dimitri to pick out his Black Shirt with some Black Pants and some clean shoes to go. He didn't hate tuxedos but he felt like almost every person was going to show up in one so he figured to stand out from the bunch. He checked himself in the mirror to see if everything was all good(such as his slick hair) before he would head to see if Daylia was ready. The Playboy unbuttoned the first few buttons of his filled out shirt, showing his physique as much as it could; especially from the arms since it was low cut putting more focus on his biceps. Winning? Yes. Dimitri softly brushed the side of the unbuttoned portion away from each other to show off his pectoral muscles, or his cleavage; since he did not have a shirt underneath. After quick shots of cologne to the neck and mid section he mobbed out from his room and went to Daylia's. Once there he gave it a few knocks, letting her know that he was outside and was ready for some real food. The girl was cute already so regardless of what she looked like Dimitri would have complemented her anyway; more than likely she would have looked good with Narcissa dressing them up. "Wow Daylia ...you look real good.

If she was ready, the two of them would make their leave to the nearest pizza restaurant after being escorted off campus by one of the professors on the campus. It was weak that they had a temporary escort but at least they Dimitri was able to borrow the Mazda. At the restaurant the hour or less they would spend there before hitting up prom would have been spent with Dimitri exchanging some funny stories. One of them would have been how Dimitri's friend pranked another one of his friends at a pizza place in high school by opening the red pepper and dumping it all over his friends pizza. That was after he removed the cheese and after he put it back. His reaction was too priceless. Or when another friend of his experienced a brain freeze when they went out to get some frozen yogurt and Dimitri joked on how he should drink hot water to cool his brain. He actually did which resulted in brain freeze and a burned tongue, creating nothing but a facepalm and laughs from Dimitri as he watched his friend pant like a dog and hold his head from the brain freeze. It was all in good fun in the end. Dimitri would also ask Daylia small information like where she was from, what school did she go to and the experience that was. Dimitri would have responded back, telling her that he was born and raised in Cali and not too much on his school life if it wasn't during high school; since his early childhood sucked. Simple questions with a few jokes here and there would have been the way their pizza session went before both of them felt like going to prom.

Their destination wasn't too far with a vehicle; one simple mile. That was convenient for it was close and the chances of people getting lost was slim. Dimitri may have been one of the first if not one of the few people after that to show up to Prom in his rented Mazda. After parking, Dimitri would have escorted Daylia into the university building that he had yet to lays eyes upon from the inside. "Alright let's do it." From there Dimitri would have tried to see if he saw if anyone got there before him. They already ate so some social talk would have been good before an attempt to burn off the slices that they ate.

User ImagexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxOmega - A night with Raine

Her eager acceptance was cause enough to garner a sigh of relief from the Native American, considering how close it was to the actual day; though, he doubted that her eye had been observant enough in her excitement to even notice the subtle hitch of his chest – especially as he never missed a beat in their conversation. Felix had taken to aid him in teasing the soft curled girl, and silently decided that the speedster and he would get along just fine when they were called to work with one another. And there wasn't a doubt that they would be... the teams were often employed for the greater good.

His chocolate eyes fell on Raine when he said that there were an innumerable amount of pretty ladies on campus, and had made easy a jest that he was tempted, because of the eye candy not to go back home when the time called for it. While she had most probably missed the minute exhale, Aren didn't fail to take note of the crimson swirling in his date's cheeks; she was quite easy to fluster.

I think women just like to see us cleaned up, because they think most of us don't shower.” Though, given his background he didn't understand the draw. Raine admitted she was guilt if such a desire was a crime, and Aren was quick to respond.

Most men would just be happy to see a woman scantily clad.” He remarked, shoving his hands in his pockets as a mischievous grin crossed his features. “That said Raine, I'm sure you'll look lovely in any gown you choose.” A shrug followed, and his sight shifted to the ground, unsure if he could contain laughter has he made his next comment. “Though, I wouldn't oppose the prior.” His grin widened, and Aren peered over at the spark-plug to gauge her reaction, a playful wink enough to let her know that he wasn't at all serious.

Felix was gone shortly after to get a tuxedo from Narcissa, and Aren rocked back from the balls of his feet to his heels, and back again, casually asking what color the Alpha's dress was. Red would suit her well, though he found it ironic that she'd chosen that particular hue, considering the rivalry between the teams. “We can get waffles later.” He said, not really concerned with whether or not she held to that part of the bargain. It was simply easy to tease her about it. “Fruit toppings aren't just for waffles you know.” A little much? Maybe. But too often Aren crossed lines that good society wouldn't dare come close to.

She dubbed herself a princess for the evening, and had it been anyone else, he may have snorted. “Well, your majesty... I think I know just the thing. You can wear your dress to dinner if you'd like.

* * *

Not surprisingly, the size shifter felt not even a tremor of anxiety as he shrugged into the last piece of his ensemble for the night, a black tux jacket that fit well to his shape, his hair had been cropped, remembering well what Raine had said about slicked back look that women here liked. (Naki would no doubt hate it.) Though, he simply couldn't bring himself to put gel in his hair, when it was something wholly unnatural.

His first idea for dinner had fallen through, being that they couldn't really go anywhere due to the outburst of strong supporters to the anti-mutant cause. So his room smelled strongly of gumbo, slow cooked during the day, away from prying eyes... and his mother had been kind enough to send him a loaf of bread with the makings to fry it in the student kitchen.

He'd spent the past hour making it, and had been glancing at the clock periodically to give him ample time to be dressed and ready for when she appeared in the little study alcove. He'd put a table runner there, with a small vase and a single carnation to make it resemble more something she would have expected of a date. With things as they were, they'd have to make the most of what they had available – something that Aren Aquene had been accustomed to long before coming to the institute.

One final glance to make sure everything lined up correctly, the man strode out of his bedroom, a note left for Roland, wishing him luck with Kerri tonight, as if he failed at all, Cissa would flay him alive. It was something to be nervous about.

It wasn't long after that when Aren found himself at Raine's door, rapping upon it lightly with his knuckles, the corsage he'd gotten her in his other hand. “Knock knock.” He murmured, figuring she'd be able to hear him through the door. “Are you decent, because if you aren't I'm coming in.” He teased, a grin from the prospect of seeing her blush as she opened the door forming with ease.

* * *

The table was as he'd left it, set with bowls on top of plates like he'd seen in a picture, the gumbo, bread and sides on a small end table near the wall, ready to be served. He'd reserved the room for the night, but that didn't make him feel any less relieved to see that it'd been untouched while he went to finish getting ready. “It's not much...” Because he'd admittedly sent most of his allowance home to his mother before he'd even thought about prom.

But an agreement with Dom had helped. Somehow, the Slovene had convinced the pretty blond on the Alphas to stay in with him, instead of asking her to the dance... and he had wanted food to share with her when they hung out tonight. So he'd made double the portions – and his best friend supplied the money to buy the ingredients. It made for a decent meal for his date.

A light green salad, rice, fry bread and chicken gumbo. And then there was the custard pie he'd bought with what he had left of his own money after the corsage. Surely, she wouldn't have minded that dessert was store bought. Aren had always been about hearty meals, not sweets, so he'd never been all that inclined to learn to make them. The scent permeated the air, drawing him in with little hesitance. “I hope you aren't vegetarian.” Maybe he should have asked before making it. Salad and bread wouldn't fill her up.

R@ +~+ Ѻмεgα- Ugh Prom Time (I really need to change this picture)
User Image
The most boring night of the year in Leion's opinion, Prom. He had gone last year as an obligation to meet people and was just going as another obligation this year because he had no better way to spend it. The outfit that had been tailored to fit him was similar in style to what he had worn to the last prom, a simple shirt, vest, and slacks combo with some very expensive looking dress shoes that he had a suspicion cost well over $100. His shirt was a flashy red affair that looked like it had come from olde England, the chest was simple, but the sleeves belled out at the bottom with fine cuffs, with any luck he'd just look like he was trying to be a dandy. The vest covering the chest of his shirt was of a soul gripping black that had some fancy embroidered designs in the exact shade of red of the shirt, and his slacks were the same black of the vest with no designs.

As he didn't have his own car he would be riding with Sam Guthrie and, with his luck, a backseat full of poofy prom dresses and underclassmen that felt entitled to some respect in front of their girls, which Leion would promptly crush with his upperclassmen superiority. . . Maybe Narcissa was starting to rub off on him.

As his final preparation for the night he turned on every light in his shared dorm room to get a good view of the exact color of his clothing. With careful concentration he tuned the color of his eyes to a near match for the shirt and turned up the glow on them so they'd be more noticeable. Then he shut off the extra lights and took a light pace down to the front where Sam's first batch of students were awaiting transportation. Mainly other guys without dates, as the ones who had them were likely still waiting for them, they pied in and were off. Just like the last Prom the decorations were breathtaking and his favorite colors were all around, though he was sure that Narcissa would have changed the colors to red and black if she could have. He gave a small wave to an impatient looking Narcissa as he entered and sat down at one of the many tables to wait for more people to arrive.

Tuxedos weren't really his thing put looking in the mirror Felix decided that he didn't look terrible. Looking at the clock he could see that it would be soon that he would need to pick up his date. He was still unsure if the blond was doing him a favor or if she had some type of other plan in store. Personally it didn't really matter to him in any way. She had said yes and as long as it wasn't to humiliate him in some way he would enjoy himself. Granted even if she did accept to humiliate him he was surprisingly hard to embarrass since he tended to take things in stride. The situation outside of the school was worsening in his opinion. It wouldn't be long before they tried to force the mutants at the academy to register and then all hell would break loose.

Felix was positive he wasn't the only one who wouldn't take kindly to being told they had to register through use of force. Then of course it would add to the anti-mutant hysteria. Frankly he still thought Magneto was right about the coming war. Only time would tell if he was on the right side. As he finished getting ready he looked up at the clock with a slight sigh. He needed to leave immediately and get to Narcissa soon or it was safe to assume their little night would be off. Leaving in a blur moments later he was standing in front of Narcissa's room. Knocking on the door he waited until his date opened it before giving a smile. Naturally the blond was gorgeous in her dress and considering she had previously told him she didn't take kindly to flattery his response was simple. "You look nice."

He had arrived with at least twenty seconds to spare so thankfully she was still waiting. "I'm not late am I?" After the question he stepped back to let her out of the room. Hopefully she had a car that they could take considering he didn't have one. That was probably because he hated other forms of transportation besides himself. "Shall we?" While many wouldn't think it considering his actions back in Cissa's room before he could be courteous when he wanted to. Which usually was when he was on a date or something similar. He wanted patiently for the blond to answer him so they could leave. After all she looked quite impatient.

OOC: It's not much...

Alpha - Leo's Room - Start of a Magical Night

User Image

Prom preparations were a big deal for any high school girl, especially those that took their appearances very seriously. For Tara, it wasn't about what people would whisper about her dress or her hair, but more about donning attire that made her feel good. Of course, she knew that she looked good too - there was no denying the fact that her dress hugged the curve of her waist tightly, the shimmering white fabric falling in elegant lines about her thin frame. The chest did enough to accentuate what she had without making it seem like she was compensating, hair curled and pinned haphazardly up to fall about her shoulders. Dorian told her that she should look like a princess. While he was certainly speaking in jest, she'd certainly fit the part.

Her heels made dull thuds against the carpet as she made her way through the hallways, side stepping a particularly enthusiastic girl as she sprinted down the hall with hair and makeup done, but no elegant dress in sight. The crunch had begun - thankfully, Tara was always more prepared than that. Turning the corner and pulling her phone from her clutch, the earth mover checked her text messages to make sure that she had the right room before knocking on Leo's door. They'd been making plans all week, just as friends, of course, and she had to admit that she was excited to hang out with him more; to get to know what made him tick. It was kind of liberating, having a date that she didn't particularly care to impress. At the end of the night, they would say their goodnights, go their separate ways and resume their friendship in the morning. There would be no awkward walk of shame through the halls at some ungodly hour, not that she'd ever done such a thing.

"Alright, Leo, let's see how you clean up," she called through the door, a grin tugging at the corners of her perfectly glossed lips. It wasn't like he could look bad in a suit or a tux, right? That seemed to be a genetic impossibility around here - all the guys were exceptionally good-looking it seemed. She knew she wasn't the first person to make that observation, but it was still interesting. It was like they were meant for this kind of thing - getting dressed up and going out in pairs for a night on the town.

Now, she just needed to make sure that her date was as prepped for the evening ahead as she was.

Reggie stood in the bathroom mirror, placing the black rose choker around her throat. She didn't have a date for this prom tonight, and she figures she didn't need one. She'd go in alone, crash the party and have a good time. Who knows, maybe she'd hook up with someone. Maybe someone else's date, just for some extra fun. She chuckled lightly to herself as she pulled on her long black gloves. Sure, she looked like she was headed off to a funeral with all of the black she had on, but it was going to be a damned sexy funeral. Call her cocky or arrogant, but she knew she looked good. Years of high school sports gave you a killer body.

When she had finished with the bathroom she went and sat on her bed, seeing that her roommate had already vacated the room. Off to collect her date, no doubt. As the short haired girl lifted her tall boots she thought, with very much amusement, about the way the girls scrambled for dates. Well, most of them. Some of them just had boys flocking to them like moths to a flame. Reggie had never been one of those girls, because most guys were a little intimidated by her, but she'd never wanted to be either. She was secure enough in herself not to have to worry about getting a date. Things were more fun this way anyways.

Upon lacing up her boots and picking up her thin silk shawl, she headed to the door, glancing once at the gloves that covered her hands. They weren't only for show, but also to keep her from accidentally absorbing something that shouldn't be. Like the glass of the punch bowl, or the diamond of someone's bracelet. Hey, you never could know. With her trademark smirk she left the room, strolling down the hall with long, confident strides. As she walked she thought about the recent problems around the city, and hoped that none of them came to boil tonight. She just wanted to have fun, and besides, this dress had cost a lot of money, and Reggie did not want it to be ruined.

Name: Leonardo Rossi
Team: Alphas
Location: Porch
Tension Like No One’s Business…

Leonardo watched the two Alpha brunettes go at it in a battle of tongue and wits. For a moment, he stopped believing that the most tense relationship in the room was between him and the shape-shifter. At the moment, it was between Bella and Katarina. It was understandable; Kat was running around with Bella’s ex-boyfriend, and that had to hurt. What was worse was that Kat was a former HYDRA agent with some shady loyalties… and although Bella might be somewhat hostile towards Gideon at the time being, she certainly wouldn’t want to see him go to the bad guys again.

At the moment, he could only watch as the two shot metaphorical laser beams out of their eyes at each other. The subject eventually came back to him, with Bella asking if Katarina was there to torture poor Leo or if there was anything else. Katarina made some comebacks loaded with innuendos that if someone didn’t know their detailed history with each other, would easily mistake them as former lovers. Sure, they had rustled and tussled some… but not in a sense that most would think. At Kat’s second to last line directed towards him, the animal mimic could feel a sudden sharp pain in his side… it was purely psychological of course, but the physical scar was still there, warning him to never underestimate the girl again.

Kat mentioned only slightly that they did indeed need to talk privately about what had transpired between them. He only hoped that it would be on friendlier terms than last time.

Roland seemed attracted to her, and she only appeared to return the favor. Leo would warn his Omega friend that he was treading very thin ice… but this could be a good thing. Perhaps Roland would keep Kat’s attention off of Leonardo; he could be her new punching bag. The former SHIELD agent didn’t blame Roland for his attraction to the shape shifter, and wouldn’t blame him if he fell into her trap of affection… after all, he almost did… before they started stabbing and punching each other, of course.

The former HYDRA agent left, and Leonardo could finally fully breathe again. Deciding that it was best of him to find the other people he needed to speak to, he began to head inside. He briefly turned his head in the direction of Bella, whispering, “If you’d like to talk about what just happened, I should be free later,” before closing the front door behind him.

First Prom Where I’m Not A Bodyguard…
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
As it turns out, Leo wouldn’t be available later, as he had told Bella. In fact, right as he was on his way to go talk to Aurelie and Reggie in order to clear the air and get things straight, he had been stopped by Scott. Due to his experience out in the field as a recruiter for SHIELD, he was being sent on an impromptu recruiting mission out west. Leonardo thought the mission was actually Scott taking pity on him, and wanted to make him feel useful. It did, sure, but Leo could already see through it. Scott had made the exclusive promise that he would be back in time for prom… which he was. Barely.

And so there Leonardo was, straightening his bow tie when the knock came at his door. Dimitri had already gone; he had been lucky enough to have the room to himself for the time being, because a lot of nights would find him in the library once again. He was seriously thinking about installing an air mattress there.

Tara’s coy voice came floating to his ears from the door, and Leonardo chuckled to himself. She would probably be surprised, he mused inside of his mind. He did a quick pat-down of himself to make sure he had everything he needed; wallet, keys, mini-flashlight, iPhone… along with the mimicked abilities of spider agility, fly reflexes, and the enhanced hearing of a moth. He would have the second one queued up for most of the night; spider agility was useless and untamed, the enhanced hearing of a moth would make his eardrums bleed from the loud music. The other abilities were just precautions, really. He definitely didn’t want to have ant strength; if he accidentally activated that one on the dance floor, he could seriously injure someone. He didn’t want to take that chance.

Opening the door to face Tara, he did a quick once-over of the earth mover. “You look stunning,” he smiled, glad that he could get the compliments out of the way. “So what was first? Dinner or dance?” He was guessing dance, since they were already all dolled up. They had made plans, yes, but that had to be done over the phone while Leonardo was on his little recruitment mission. Personally, he was hoping they could get to the prom the sooner the better; he still had to have conversations with Aurelie, Reggie, and possibly Bella. His Alpha leader deserved to know the complete history between him and Katarina Force.

Well, here goes everything…

Roland continued to whittle along the branch he had broken off, the pieces of bark coming off with each stroke of his sharpened talon. He’d watched Katarina attempt to be coy towards Leo and Bella, but under a veil of playful words lay malice and hardness. For someone like Roland, he’d developed what he liked to call a sixth sense for bullshit. And damn it all if he could pick up the bull coming from her. She purred like a kitten on the outside, but this young cat was roaring like a tiger within. The young woman seemed surprised to hear Italian come out of his mouth, which he frankly did not blame her in the slightest. Roland had taught himself Italian after meeting a Venetian, and then working on it on his own. To see a man who was tattooed and scarred up speak one of the language usually surprised just about anyone. She offered him a rather unique invitation to see if her claws belonged to a kitten or a lion. She offered him a smile that he frankly wasn’t sure if she was serious, kidding, or offering a lure towards his death. He had to smile though, it had to be something in the air to make women attracted to the sack of beaten meat that was Roland.

“I may consider taking you up on that.” he offered as she walked away, offering a pleasant bye in her native tongue.

Looking back to Leo and Bella, he had a somewhat stupid grin on his face when he said simply, “Well she seemed to take a shine to me huh?” his golden orbs were glowing with some simple pleasure. It was a bit of a confidence boost for him, it let him look forward to the coming dance. Taking out Kerri would prove to be one hell of an experience, and Roland frankly looked forward to it with his dumb grin.

---- Time Skip ----

Roland had by this point managed to get himself cleaned up and had his suit on. Looking to his desk, he saw the note that his roommate was kind enough to leave for him. He had to appreciate the guy wishing him luck, the thought of tonight soon made him get a tightness in his throat. He was taking a beautiful girl to the dance, one who was a hell of a fighter to begin with. To top it off, she was the roommate of his team leader, and the one that got him this suit to begin with. If things went wrong with tonight, well he might as well kiss his a** goodbye. He’d already resolved to do the best he could, pull her seat out for her when she was tired from dancing, get her a drink if she needed one, pretty much everything he managed to think of off the top of his head. Hopefully the night would work well for the two of them, Roland made no promises to himself that he would try anything. He simply wanted to have a fun evening, nothing more.

As he made his way to the room, he fought hard the nerves that wracked his mind and body. Looking down at his hands, holding a box containing a simple corsage, he could see that they were obviously shaking. What the hell was wrong with him? The man had experienced unimaginable levels of pain at the hands of various mutants, most of which had met death at his hands without batting an eyelash, yet he was nervous and nearly filled with terror over knocking on the door to meet up with his date? It was rather embarrassing really, for something like this to get to him. He made his way to the door that he had visited only a few days earlier. He let a simple knock rap on the door, his heart pounding in his chest, nearly at his throat. He looked down at the corsage, hoping that she would like it. If he was correct, this is something that was a type of tradition for this type of dance.

Tonight was the night of the prom. Vee hadn't heard any announcement made about the prom, since she'd only arrived at the Academy a few days ago, but she could just tell. Sitting silently in her dorm, she listened as the other students eagerly strode down the hallways and out the doors to the prom. The girls' heels clacked noisily on the floor, and she heard voices, masculine and feminine, grow in volume and then fade as they pass by her door.

Vee was curious about Academy X's prom. She wondered if all students were allowed. Back in her hometown, only the juniors and seniors of the high schools were allowed. It might be the same here, but then again, Academy X was very different from the average high school. And if Academy X was so different, the students must be as well. Vee, however, had no idea just how different, or by what factors were they different. And she wanted to find out.

With that goal in mind, Vee leaped off her bed, crouching down to pick up a navy blue coat she'd thrown on the floor, and slipped quietly out the door, leaving a soft, slightly chilly breeze behind her.

She stuck close to the wall, unlike the prom attendees who walked down the middle of the hallway. She tried her best to obscure herself, which actually wasn't very hard, considering her dark clothing. She was sure that none of the students paid any attention to her anyway, focusing fully on their dates. As they neared the front door, she chanced slipping inbetween two couples. They didn't even glance at her. As they neared the front gate, she snaked her way through the students, quickly walking to a bench in the shadows. Vee watched the students walk by and drive off, observing each one, trying to identify any difference between the kids she was so used to back home.

Daylia couldn’t help but shake her head and roll her eyes as Narcissa said she was hurt. "I never said that, just personally not into girls." She shrugged as the blonde took some of the needed measurements as she chatted with the other girl about the rumors, offering in her own twisted way to help the girl have a story to tell. Why everyone was so stuck on that, Daylia wasn’t sure.

It was hard for the redhead to hold still as Narcissa did her work, but she had managed, well until Christian had come in, causing the blond to usher Daylia behind a pretty decorative screen.
"Eh, didn’t bother me much, but thanks." They were all adults right? Or at least close enough to it, but of course with all the jokes the guys seemed to be making, it didn’t seem that way. The lot of them were still just immature.

Daylia blinked several times at the Sun Goddess as she raddled off question after question, a little too fast for her to keep up.
"Uh." She said before taking in a deep breath, hoping to answer all the questions in one go. "Ether or. None, just don’t make me look like a Christmas tree. Short. Flats. Not idea what you mean by that… And I don’t care." And with that, Narcissa was done with Daylia, who breathed a sigh of relief. "And thanks. This is appreciated, seeing as I have no fashion sense." She said before gathering her clothes and putting them back on. Oh how she feared what Naricssa would be making her wear.

Daylia chatted a bit more with those gathered before the blond called Christian over. At that time she took her chance to leave.

---------- Prom Night ----------

Daylia had gotten the dress Narcissa had chosen for her, along with the shot black heels that would go with it. It was a rather simple black dress with a red see through red shimmery something or other on top, completed with a red silk sash and flower. Simple was always nice. For the moment, Daylia was sitting in front of her vanity mirror, putting the finishing touches on her smoky eye look. Her laptop was open on the desk as well, the screen paused on a youtube video tutorial on how to do the look she was going for. It had taken some time, and plenty of face washing and moisturizing to get the look some what decent. She hated doing makeup most of the time, and hardly ever wore more than eye liner and mascara. Her vibrant red hair hung in loose waves over her shoulder, her tilted bangs flat ironed with a slight bump to keep it out of her eyes.

Daylia’s blue gray orbs went to the clock as she heard a knock on her door. Crap, it was time to go already.
"Just a second!" She called through the door as she stood up, slipping the heels on as she moved about her room, collecting the last of what she needed; a hair tie, her cell phone, and some money. She looked around, wishing that she had a clutch somewhere to put it all in, but of course all of her purses were too bulky. Daylia simply settled for stuffing the things she needed into her bra, adjusting it so it was not noticeable.

Daylia let out a rough sigh as she exited her room, shutting the door behind her.
"Sorry, sorry, lost track of time." She turned to look at Dimitri and simply blinked at his compliment. "Uh, thanks. You look good too, Dimitri." And he did, well if it were not for the over confident air he surrounded himself with most of the time. Who call themself playboy if they were not way into themselves? "Shall we?"

Dinner had been good, after all no one could really go wrong with it. They had exchanged pleasant talk along with some stories. The pranks Daylia really enjoyed. Though soon enough, they had left the pizzareia, hopping into the rather expensive looking car and headed to the actual prom, though not before Daylia argued about paying for half of their meal. She had lost that argument though.

Daylia and Dimitri had pulled up in front of where the school was hosting prom, causing her to frown slightly. She got out, trying to be lady like as she did so, but nearly succeeded in falling as she tried not to flash her cooter to anyone and everyone in the parking lot. She had recovered thanks to clinging to the door, and some help from her prom date Dimitri.
"Yeah." She said lowly. "Let’s do this. And please tell me we still have a plan B just in case I embarrass myself…" She said as she let Dimitri lead her into the building.

Daylia looked around, hoping to spot a familiar face as she had her arm looped through Dimitris, like more girls would on this night with their own dates. The decorations were pretty, and that snack table looked all too inviting. Punch, cookies, other sweets, and even finger sandwiches. She knew where she would be going soon enough, especially if Dimitri decided to ditch her.
