((Trial 3: Siobhan & Akubi))
The next obstacle was... scary. Bombs everywhere. Swinging. Siobhan was torn. She wanted to swing from a pole too, but she also did not want to explode.
It would be best to try and get through the trial without dancing with bombs.

He was unimpressed with the next part as well. Swinging bombs? Please. He ate scarier things for breakfast. Jack. Akubi caused scarier things just by hanging around people.
The memory of fallen loin cloth haunted his dreams still.
Grasping Siobhan's hand still he simply said, "We're doin' it." And he lead her through safely.

((Stage 4: Siobhan and Akubi: FAIL))
The bombs were a breeze, nowhere near as scary as they seemed, having gotten through with no trouble at all.
It was the sunglasses. Totally. They just screamed authority.
Next was a lake. A lake of fire and lava. Siobhan squeezed the demon's hand nervously, proceeding forward with her partner.
However... they would not make it to the other side.

Really it was a matter of time before his hubris caught up with him and his bad luck triggered. He stepped forward with Siobhan's hand in his but there was something wrong, he knew it the instant his foot went down.
Together they slipped and fell into the horrible painful lava. Together they lost their sunglasses.
The Lava was now Dealing with it.

Riley, still silent, looked less annoyed by the obstacle, and more vacant by the second. She was doing the motions without question now, jumping over the hurtles with her best friend robotically.

It was during the hoops that Riley realized Jericho wasn't responding to things she was saying. This was because he wasn't hearing them - and when she turned to look at him, she found him running straight for the hoops, without realizing she'd stopped.

One would think that the two of them would be able to jump over the hurtles with their eyes closed at this point, since they had done it so many times already.
So Riley closed her eyes.
Sure enough, she emerged unscathed.

Jericho was exhausted. Even with her eyes closed, he was struggling to keep up with her. And when they reached the other side, he doubled over before glancing up at the next obstacle rather uneagerly.

Once more, the dragon chugged along painstakingly. He nearly crashed a few times here and there. Really, Riley was the one that miraculously kept him afloat.

The problem with attempting to run past exploding balls of flame with your eyes closed was that they had eyes, too. They could see your movements, and adjust.
And they did.

Around now, Jericho had a sort of second wind, and he was able to go a little more quickly. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite enough to make up for the bombs targetting his willingly blind friend.

As soon as he saw her again Akubi took a hold of Siobhan's hand and lead her back to the course determinedly, "We aren't gonna to let this beat us!" Despite being a harbinger of bad luck he believed that they would totally show this course what for. Not letting go of the ghoul's hand he marched forward toward the first obstacle with her.
