Akane looked into the air, seeing the small bird return, Bast must be close.... He took the message and he nodded to himself. He looked at his clones and they nodded to him.
The Clone that held Sanshouuo, began to position him into firing sequence. The Puppets arms and leg pointed up to the skies at the flyers, Then the mouth opened and like a barrage of senbon fired out of the legs and arms out at the flyers, much like arrows hitting and piercing them.
The Second Clone With Ereni was defending the First clone, Also using the Replenishing Technique on Sanshouuo so he'd not run out of ammunition. Ereni also threw his chkram on his head, it was connected with a chakra string and it went to sever any straggling Automatons on the ground.
Akane himself kept his strings on Thantas until he locked all of the latches on his joints keeping him in place. He saw the giant green shield and instantly analyzed it, the automatons entering it, it seemed like it was a barrier... Allowing the Automatons to form strong waves and steamroll all that is in its path... So that was how they were doing it. He looked over to see Manfread, barfing his guts out... Was Manfread sick when it came to water? or what was happening to him? He thought as he disconnected from Thantas, leaving him in place and the puppet arms acting as a bridge to a nearby ship. Akane arrived on the ship and found the captain "Sir! Concave them! That way splash damage will be imminent on the automatons." When he said this, he meant for the rest of the ships to create a concave like shape at the beach, then the Automatons would march forwards walking right into the fire. He looked back up at the shield... it seemed to be circular... Akane thought of geometrical shapes thinking of the placement of the shields activator... If they could destroy the shields controller, they'd have nothing left to allow a bundling of the enemy.

Howaido gathered his clones as he headed towards the docks with Bast, he sent one clone to help the citizens and another to help the gennin. Howaido himself was just ahead of Bast being he was already into the metropolis a little ways. He slowed down to being just ahead of Bast,"That shields nasty, but I know youve got a plan. This is the part where I keep their asses off of you when you need it right?" He yelled to her over the wind rushing by their ears as they moved quickly, he was happy beneath his mask, he felt like himself again.

The barrier held up against all of akanes puppet techniques, as the barrier was able to withstand a huge ammount of punishment. To the surprise of everyone, more and more automatons appeared to be gathering on the ships behind the barrier. They still remained dormant for a now, but everyone could feel the tension rising. Manny would see the ship closer to them have an energy increasing....waht could it be?

“This is unforgivable,” Manfread said starting out in a whisper and then going into a terrifying fury, “Unforgivable!Unforgivable!Unforgivable! You rat b*****ds made me loose my lunch! Now I'm starving, and wasting good food! You will pay with your lives!!! I'll eat your brain, and tear out your spleens and what ever else I can get my hands on!!!”
With little more then revenge in his mind Manfread's focus was doubled, everything became clear his vision expanded even farther to encompass a greater range. Seeing the closest enemy ship increase energy, Manfread yanked his sword out of the ground and walked over to a lamp post. Quickly cutting it down he jammed his sword into the ground and grabbed the lamp post.
“Hey! This ship has a greater energy then the rest,” Manfread said taking aim and a running start, using 100% of his muscles he launched the post at the ship's hull like a javelin. He was hoping that the shield wouldn't encompass the ship as well as the automatons, and this was better then wasting ammo, to test his theory. “I'm betting its important to the shield. If it is I'll burn it to the ground! If not.... I'll do it any ways!!”

Bast nodded to Howaido.
"I can't imagine that they will be attacking much if that barrier goes down. I'm planning on sucking their power source dry," the woman explained. "One of the things that I determined in my investigation is that there has never been a limitless power source that can be sustained naturally. If there are that many automatons draining energy from the same location--which is a given, based on the scrape marks found on the receiver in the automaton San brought back--then all we have to do is make every single one of them attempt to draw on that power source at the same time. They'll all fail, the power source will dry up, and we'll get some pretty new ships in addition to the tons of wasted machines."
While she explained this, she adjusted her grip on the numerous items that she had scavenged while they were passing through the city: a flying machine, three of the kunai launchers mounted on those machines, and four blue, glowing stones stolen from the bellies of the few unlucky automatons that Mononoke had destroyed. The stones had already been sealed in a bauble, containing their energies.
When she arrived at the beach, Bast followed the path delivered unto her by the civilians, and quickly reached the docks. She stayed on land, though, and away from the boats. In preparation for her plan, the woman formed a single Kaze Bunshin, and then waited.
Meanwhile, the Princess and Mononoke had scaled a rather tall building near the beach, and were waiting for an opportunity to defend the area. The Princess was passing the time by making more arrows, while Mononoke scanned the area with incredible concentration, and looked as if she were almost ready to leap from the building if the situation required; this was, of course, something which was not only possible, but likely to be executed with a speed that was both wholly unnatural and awesome.

Howaido understood it quite well to his surprise, if you use an energy to sustain individuals and it is not strong enough to sustain all at once. Well cause them to sustain all at once and it will dry up. But, if it were that easy they wouldnt all be here. "It sounds easy, but it cant be that easy, how do you plan to make this happen?" Howaido followed along as he noticed her preparations, the golems making a perimeter, he would have to be on his toes. The stones looked familiar as he eyed them the short span they were visible, the automatons had... Gelel Stones in them, maybe?

The barrier dropped...and all hell broke loose. The closest of the ships, the one that pulled up on the bay and beach, began firing volleys of greenish light style orbs onto the bay, aiming for the entrenched civilians as well as the ninja. The automatons on the ships went into a frenzy, trying to strip as much as they could from all the ships in the bay, most likely being the sacraficial pawns for the rest the armada to escape/ have an instant victory if they could just bombard and recover from sea. The civilians were in a fearful awe as they watched the ships begin to be stripped. This was some plan....

Al had used Nenshou Tosshin (Burning Rush) To enhance his defense and keep his speed up with the other members of his team. As they moved up, he answered Lucas with "Midranged Ninjutsu support, as well as a bit of close range. You?" At that moment however, the Automatons began their assault, launching artillery and stripping down their vessels. "INCOMING" he yelled, then performed some seals and slapped his hands to the ground, saying "Extreme Steam Prison!" whilst pouring chakra into the technique. While he'd done this before, this time he managed and streamlined the technique, causing the pillars to rise up only in the path of the first volley of incoming orbs. He'd bet anything that they were made of chakra, and the two different types colliding would cause an interesting reaction, in the least. If not, well, they served to create a boundary at the very edge of the beachhead, funneling any entrance from the sea.

As soon as the barrier came down and the ship in the bay had fired its first round of shots, Mononoke loaded her bow and planted the solid metal arrows directly in front of the launchers on the ships. With the force compounded by the bow, each arrow would entrench itself two inches in to the metal in front of the launchers, and would be the first thing that new orbs would touch. The Princess, meanwhile, simply made more arrows.
"You'll get to see now, won't you!" the woman shouted in response to Howaido's question. She figured that Howaido and the others would take care of the globules, but in case they could not, she gave a quick order to Mononoke to rescue those in danger. She remembered a technique of Howaido's that would change the direction of projectile techniques, and wondered if he would use it to take care of the situation. Then again, with her plan, such movements could be useless.
With her opportunity arrived, both Bast and her clone began to sing. The two voices were in perfect harmony--they were coming from essentially the same person, after all--and the two techniques being used folded in to one Korabo Ninjutsu. The clouds overhead began to pour rain down on both the area and the sea, quickly drenching all in it. The rain was not normal, though; the Ukojizai that created it had been combined with an powerful Chakra barrier. Each drop that hit was a tiny barrier that spread and moved like water, which meant that it could also potentially interfere with the signals being sent through the bodies of the automatons.

Having lost a lot of his ability to properly reason due to his raging around Manfread, made a huge leap into the air towards the ship. Sheathing his sword and getting a running start then using all 100% of his muscles he would jump and aim to land on the closest enemy ship. While descending towards the ship he would quickly form a few hand seals and unleash a a giant fire ball on the hull of the vessel.
“Katon Goukakyuu no jutsu!” Manfread said as he breathed the massive ball of flame towards the ship. He would land on or near the vessel regardless of whether it was in flames or not, then proceed reek as much havoc as possible by smashing it to pieces with his sword, attacking anything that moved in a frenzy of violence.

it seemed the citizens were right in trusting our fellow suna gang. Bast's special singing technique would work even better then expected not only blocking the transmitters but also over loading them causing the automatons on the beach and the ships to have their transmitters overload causing several small explosions to happen on the ships. Because of this, the explosions ignited a few of the ships powder kegs and ignited and exploded 2 more ships, leaving just three behind for our team to use. However, it did overload 2 of the main core of 2 of the enemy ships, the two closest, causing them to explode and sink as well.
Al's barrier met chakra vs chakra and exploded in mid air, causing his chakra to move over the place for a moment, evaporating some of the ocean water close by. Thankfully no one was in range, or this coulda been very very bad.
Manny was jsut having a bad day. When adding the damage from his fireball and Princess's arrows AND the cannons hitting something right in front of the them AND the core blowing up.....it just wasnt pretty. With that ship absolutely obliterated, the enemy figured that they needed to cut their loses, losing 2 ships in one attack when they hadnt lost a ship for a whole year. using their cannons once again, though way out of their effective range, the ships began to retreat and pull away. How did manny do? Would his friends come to his rescue?
The citizens took this as a message to finally push them back, and away for good. Everyone leaving the bunkers they boarded what ships they could, leaving some behind to still cover their land in case it was a feint tactic. A smaller female with purple hair approached bast with strong eyes and a determined voice, speaking to the ninja group. "I will be your captain on the ship. Please, come with us. We need to push them back so they never come again."
The situation didnt look good, as the resistance only had explosive kunai launchers and a large galleon like boat. The cannons had been removed and obviously destroyed with all the mini explosions from the golems, meaning that the citizens seemed to be placing their hope in our Suna ninja. With the enemy in their sights, yet fleeting and running, what would our ninja do?

Time slowed down as Manfread plunged towards the exploding and sinking ship. Using his strength and speed he swung his massive sword in front of his body like a shield. The weapon should protect him from and shrapnel that went flying in his direction but it would do little good against the shock wave caused by the explosion. A very unhappy expressing was nailed to his face as Manfread realized he was now out of time.
If anyone had been close enough, then would hear Manfread shouting curses in a variety of creative forms as he cursed his fate. He was having a bad day as his strength left his arms and the first gate closed. Time was up and his muscles began to twitch. Impacting on the sinking ship then bouncing onto the water multiple times Manfread tried to use the art of water walking. Finding it very hard to concentrate he was slowly sinking deeper into the ocean and was not happy at all. He felt like sh*t, being bruised and broken and bleeding was nothing new and Manfread could handle that, but being over open water...... Well that was a different story. He gripped his sword for dear life, which happen to weigh a surprising amount and was most likely sinking because he didn't really have the strength to lift it, as he barfed out bits of blood and other goodies he would ironically enough begin to flail like a fish out of water.

Lucas finally getting tired of trying to come up with a plan decided to take action. utilizing the three kunai he had in his hand he utilized the jutsu mythical pheonix flame technique which he used to hide and coat the three kunai leaving two flames empty. all of these sped up into the air. if they missed anything on the way up then they could easilly get something on the way down. he then shunshined over to where manny had landed and grabbed a hold of him. "time we got you out of here." he said as he assimilated with the steel knife. he dispersed and flew manny out of the immediate danger. he also split and grew to be able to send a comunication cloud to bast as well as a large beast of some kind with scyth like claws that stood about 10' tall. the beast(chakra: 445/595)

Al gave a slight sigh of relief, whistling at Bast's major attack. He moved to support Manfread, but as Lucas took care of it he diverted back to Zane. "Let's get on board our ship and find you a galley, I'm sure we could all use a bit of recuperation and a good meal. Sound good?" he asked, indicating their ship and captain with a hand gesture.
