"No. You ganged up on our poor medic and overwhelmed her before she could do anything... Like vultures after a corpse." She corrected E-4, trying her best not to break this little truce they seemed to have settled on, although her grip on the hilt of her dagger was tightening, "You did the same thing to the other two members on my team that you killed... Just because that horse-thing wouldn't let us leave this area, they fell to your gang attack. HA. One of them somehow came back from the dead though... I'm glad that our medic was at least able to flee before falling to the same fate."

Was she bitter? Maybe... It was an eye for an eye. They ganged up on their members? They did the same to theirs, although the one who dealt the final blow was the horse-thing.

"There is nothing wrong with fleeing, I suppose," She shrugged, "I would have done the same thing, not lying. I just wouldn't have the juts to show up again - would you flee if your teammate was being attacked? Would you flee to save your own life? Isn't that the impression you're making on others? A medic will flee to save her own life in order to help another - she was bandaging up others on the battlefield before she was ganged up on."

Yes, she was definitely bitter.

"Its fine, I don't expect anyone to be rainbows and sunshine after all that we've been through, unless you happen to be Beta Four," Beta Seven muttered, a gloved hand gently running along the blade of the dagger in her hand before she sighed, "Like I said before. My life before this must suck pretty bad if I sighed up for this s**t."

Looking up at the group as they worried over the large number of people who might be on the island, she frowned, although it was barely visible under her gas mask. She was worried too - she was growing way too attached to these people... She would have fled if they were in trouble a while ago (how long had it been anyway?) but now...? She wasn't so sure. Would she continue to use Beta Four as a meat shield, for example?

E-4 didn't want to reply. Not after she had already apologized for snapping and not as long as she wanted this truce to last longer than a couple of minutes. And hell, part of the reason she didn't want to reply was because "Boss" was right in some ways--they had gone after the blue team like a pack of ruthless wolves. However, try as she might to resist, she did have to get one thing in: "I think it'd be worse not to show up again," E-4 said, her voice soft and even. Pushing herself up so that she was in a sitting position again, she gestured towards E-5. "We weren't in dire danger when he left, and your comrades were attacking him. I'm not saying that they didn't have reason to attack us--" She felt the need to add that in because goddamnit, she did feel guilty for what had been done, "--but he did what he needed to to come back to us. He came back so that could help us, rather than running away with his tail tucked between his legs."

To be honest, she was kind of surprised no one was fleeing the area now that it was possible to. Maybe it was because people were too scared to wander off on their own, but E-4 liked to believe that it was because no one was willing to leave their comrades behind. It may have been too optimistic of a thought, but in a situation like this, optimism was nice to have.

"A lot of lives must have sucked then," E-4 answered, pulling her legs up to her chest. In all this excitement (excitement? Maybe terror was a better word), she had briefly pushed aside the fact that she knew nothing about her past. Now that they had some time to think, all her questions came rushing back. What kind of person had she been? Did she have...family? Friends? "I wonder what my name was. Four definitely doesn't make for a good name." She murmured out loud, managing a small laugh.

What the hell man, what the hell!? He knew he wasn’t exactly joining in on all the conversations, or doing anything of much importance, but that didn’t mean he was invisible, right? It wasn’t like him being on the ground made him vanish in to thin air. So why were his team members nearly sitting on him and nearly punching him in the face. Great way to show much you cared about your team members…

Scuffing, E8 glared at E4 and E5 before rolling over on to his side.

“Just like there was no reason to not see me and nearly punch me right in the face. I mean, I’m happy you’re back and all, but come on Five, come on now. No, just don’t.”

That’s when he went silent, his heart sort of sinking at E4’s words. E8 had been so caught up in everything that was going on that he never once stopped to think about why he was here, and what his true identity, his true memories were.

“Names, appearances, relations, do you think we will be able to figure any of that out while we’re here? I know I’m a guy, but just having that info doesn’t help out much. I wonder what I look like behind all this gear. I wonder if how I act now is how I acted before I came here…”

He gave another scuff. "I wonder how long that horse plans to keep toying with us."

E-5 merely gave a wave of his hand to dismiss B-7, "don't worry about her E-4 it's not like them jumping on me at the first opportunity they had was any better they just see it as revenge more than just merely ganging up on me. If I hadn't reacted sooner they would have made sure I was good and dead like they did with E-3, so much for our own medic not getting ganged up I guess she didn't even get much of a chance to help herself after they got to her." He looked at the bag that he had taken from her body, he didn't really say much to her before other than volunteering to leave with their group yet he felt a rather unnerving notion of loathing knowing that here sat some self righteous blue who helped in killing her ranting about their own medic being attacked.

"It's a dog eat dog world at the moment we did what we were thinking to survive and they wanted revenge." He replied with a bit of unconcern in his voice to reassure E-4 that there was no reason to worry about what she had said as he masked the hatred he felt for B-7. He couldn't help but feel that B-7 view was a bit twisted for her own moral sense and that she was causing nothing more than a guilt trip that she was just as much as a part of as they were. Who could sit there and say that the three of them ganging up on him when he couldn't flee wasn't any better than it was for them to gang up on their members? No one, not even her, besides they played a hand in ending their medics life regardless if they were going to blame the beast or not.

"So don't worry about E-4 no reason to feel guilty about it there's a good chance that unless we all cool down and think about it we won't make it out of this place besides I'm pretty sure that a few are going to unlucky soon and we might lose even more of ourselves," E-5 gave a shrug of his shoulders, he didn't feel sorry in the least bit for helping in ending three of their members so there was no reason she should too. Honestly he felt rather a bit of glee but showing it would only cause more of a mess.

"I'd like to think my name was something along the lines of V for the five and maybe yours was..... like Ivy because of the IV on your mask." He replied tapping on her helmet where the number was, "but for E-8 mmeeeehhhh maybe something a little less pretty though a name like Vii or Lee seems like it could possibly suit him, and sorry E-8 I didn't see you there for a moment or more like I forgot maybe." He replied giving him a bit of a thumbs up since he couldn't really give him a smile.

"As for me I'm sure I was some hottie and everyone loved me," E-5 replied rubbing his chin, " but I don't think trying to figure who I was will do much good at them moment." Honestly he didn't want to remember it at the moment he just wanted to keep what he was now and what he was separate at the time being, he was more or less afraid that the old him was nothing like he was now and that if they mixed he would just lose his mind into some sort of chaos. Looking back at E-8 he shook his head, for a moment just chatting made him forget about the horse that was still in front of them.

"Well, at least a small few of you understand your place on this island. On the ground...or even better, under it." It gave an odd chuckle and began to fade again, becoming nearly invisible. The pendant, however, remained solid and glowing brightly in the fog. "I'll leave you with this, take it if you dare. Take it if you're worthy." And then he was gone, and the pendant...floating in mid air.

Without the terrible creature to goad them, the remainder of the two squads were left with their own fears, ambitions, and agendas. And one pendant.

"I suppose that is true," She shrugged at E-4, "A dead member is not of much help at all." This talk is depressing, but eh - what is not depressing about the situation they're currently in? Her muscles ached from strain, and from the horse-thing's 'face-meets-ground' attack. If not for the fact that the gas mask is made of something sturdy, it might had cracked and (if the hooded stranger was not lying to them) she would have exploded by now. All of them would have exploded.

"Yup, my team only got the ganging up idea after watching your team do it, after all," Beta Seven nodded in response to E-5, her gaze shifting to E-4, "So don't feel guilty... I don't feel guilty after contributing to your medic's death, now that I know my members didn't die, bleeding in places they can't reach, during the onslaught. In fact, I think we're more or less even now in a way. If you feel guilty now, you probably wouldn't last a week."

Was she actually trying to be nice? Perhaps in her own twisted way, she was. Still, she didn't like the way E-5 was acting, all high and mighty after fleeing from battle and then shamelessly returning.

"What's in a name? Maybe it was an identity for us once, but we supposedly gave it up willingly, so who are we to demand it back?" While part of her wanted to know the reason why the past her would sign up for this, part of her just want to... Continue and press in. Maybe they'll get the answers at the end of the week - if not, its a party where the dead go... By the end of this, only 13 survivors, leaving the other 80 plus of them dead...

[E-Two is reluctantly racing for the pendant]

Oh, hells bells.

E-Two had been standing around glaring at people-- well, it looked more like intently looking in one direction for an extended period of time, but he personally knew it was a glare.

That was all that mattered.

The whole kumbayah that was going on was a bit distressing to E-Two; they had just been in an all out brawl, and now they were sitting on the ground picking flowers. Or corn-- the allegory was still there! It was not only a buzzkill, it completely confused E-Two and his sense of order. He really only had one thing he could count on. His cellphone. It was the only thing giving any sort of information that wasn't cryptic as all ********, and it clearly stated they were going to have to kill one another. Which he was happily complying with-- no alarms bells were going off, nothing inside him said that this was bad news.

The pendant could be a fiery inferno of death for all he knew, but goddamn it he was going to try for it. At least maybe people would come back to their senses and start whacking on one another.

This was surprising. The way that Boss (it was so strange of her to call her that, even if it was just in her head) seemed to be reassuring her was...unexpected. E-4 wasn't sure if she was intentionally trying to make her feel better, but she nodded, her gaze shifting from Boss, to E-5, and then back. "I...I guess," She said finally, "If we consider how many people are in the other teams, and if we really have to...um, get through them by the end of this week..." She was already feeling guilty now. If they survived to the end of the week, killing dozens of people in the process, what would she be like by the end of it? Some people would probably go crazy after witnessing all of that.

"Thanks." E-4 nodded, feeling a little awkward. She was quick to turn to E-5 in an attempt to dispel the thoughts that she had known for a long time: the other team really wasn't all that bad, and more importantly, they had almost tried to kill them all. So instead, she focused on what her comrade was saying, and she perked up a little. "...Ivy, huh? I...I kind of like that. Maybe I could use it as my nickname instead of Four."

At E-8, she simply laughed. "And that is why you don't sprawl out on the ground, you idiot. Besides, better that I sit on you than that horse stepping on you."

She was almost getting a little too comfortable now, but the peace was quickly shattered when the horse suddenly spoke again. E-4 watched in silence as it began to fade and, when it disappeared altogether, she carefully rose to her feet. "Is it...is it really gone?" Her eyes fell onto the pendant, and she hesitated. She wasn't sure whether she wanted to go for it or not but...well, assuming that both sides were going to uphold their promise of a truce, there was (hopefully) no danger in taking it for now, right?

"So long as the other teams don't find out," She murmured under her breath, moving towards the floating object. Everyone might as well go for it!

E-Two got a cramp and only moved one step.

He says it's lady issues.

On the ground, sure. If he had to. Under the ground ...No. Not him.

E-13 stayed stubbornly seated. He said he didn't want it, so he didn't want it. He didn't have much to say about which team had done what. He didn't feel bad about what he'd done, and he didn't have any grudges either. They'd have to do a lot more of both before the end of the week.

Except maybe what both team had done to the Bandaids. Neither of them had bothered anybody. ...Bandaids were a crappy weapon.

He was just relieved the horse hadn't crushed them again.

The pony was leaving?! No! The pendant! She needed it! E-Ten was about to cry out for it to come back when she saw the pendant get left behind. It was left behind, and Death Pony was gone...never to hurt them again. And the pendant was unguarded. She looked around at the rest of her team, seeing them fighting valiantly for whatever cause they may have. They were all distracted by the fighting, except Two who was complaining about lady issu--wait wasn't Two a guy? She paused a moment. Yes, Two was definitely a guy. What the hell?

Still, that pendant would be hers. She broke out into a run, shamelessly going straight for the pendant. E-4 was ahead of her by so much! No!

((For my reference:
E-10's HP: 20
7/50 steps.))

So the pendant would be given away in a free for all huh? At least with what was going on now he could understand why the winner might be the last one standing, or at least the last one standing while competition stands around glaring, and possibly plotting to take them down. While he himself didn't want the pendant he wishes luck on whomever did win, especially when they would be seen as a traveling target. A literal bulls-eye in their group.

Sitting up, E8 chuckled to himself as he watched the start of this amazing race.

"I guess we'll see how this one ends..."

She couldn't let E-4 get the pendant. No way. She needed it. She wanted it. She had to have it. E-10 was apparently not the athletic type, however. She got seven steps before she ran out of breath, pausing a moment to catch it back again before shaking her head and taking off again. The pendant was her focus.

No, seriously. It was the only thing running through her mind. Pendantpendantpendantpendantpendantpendantpendantpendant.

She stepped on a stray ear of corn that had been knocked off its stalk and it rolled under her foot, sending her face first into the ground. ******** Steps))

Beta-Six was uninterested in the pendant. At least for now. Though he was cowering, holding onto other members of his group, in his head somewhere was still that guy who had fired his gun deliberately at other human beings. If that pendant meant life at the end of seven days... well then he'd be a lot more willing to shoot any of these tenuous friends right in the back.

Instead, for now, he'd let people squabble. Maybe they'd be stupid enough to attack each other for it. Bix could care less for now. The horse monster was gone and all he could think of was getting away from this stinking corn.

"Hey.." He scratched a part of his head that was itching under the mask. Of course it wasn't a very satisfying scratch with all the layers involved. "Hey.." He nudged Before and hoped to get Boss's attention too. Hell E-13 was welcome to his idea too since he seemed reasonable.

"I'm sick of looking at corn.. and a lot of these people's faces." His tone was a bit snide but still held it's familiar whining quality. "You wanna get out of here?" He didn't raise his voice. He hoped to slip out while some of the psychos fought over that stupid pendant.

Three watched as the vicious horse disappeared leaving behind that oh so coveted..or not so coveted...pendant behind for them to fight over. Several people jumped up to make a run for the pendant and Three stood up only to move warily away from some of the others. She stayed close enough to talk if they were going to continue planing anything but she didn't want to be in the middle of the crowd if people started swinging weapons around again for the pendant.

Nope it was better to get just a little bit of distance for the moment - at least until it became apparent what was going to happen with this truce now that the mind crushing horse was gone. It seemed that everyone was still feeling the effects of the fighting however because..no one was moving all that fast towards the pendant, one was doubled up with..cramps..she wasn't even going to stop and ponder that mystery and another slipped on a piece of corn and fell on their face.
