Emerging from the grave of thrown dirt, stick and rock like a zombie in the night, Sorano groaned as the spot where Never hit shivered his insides. His Flareon raised to all fours and shook what mess had caught itself in his fluff, debating if the idea of a bath sounded good enough if he was considering suicide. Blood rippled like little streams outside the little cuts here or there along Sorano's frame. He'd survive though . . . he'd been through worse.

Watching as Deimos and his posse made their retreat, he knew not how to stop them. He concentrated more on attending to his fellow Pokemon, withdrawing the still frozen Whinny and trying to calm his Raichu. Sorano even slipped the Galatic Ball onto his belt for good measure . . . since loosing it would likely have him lose his head. Was this over or was it the start of a new beginning?

Alexander darted out from behind the tree he had taken cover behind. While there were Rockets on the ground injured the more badly off ones were getting slightly healed and helped, he had some pokemon to check. He found Zack first as the Growlithe sat in an area of fire. The puppy pokemon wagged his tail when he saw his trainer and gave a doggy grin. "At least your not too injured." Xander said in relief. He saw a few of the pokemon going after the escaping ones and had Zack go as well before going back to looking for Conrad.

When he found the wobbly Eevee he also found Frost and knelt between the two. "Are you alright?!" he asked Frost as he returned Conrad to his pokeball.

Repo'd been quite happy to lie still and focus on getting air in and out of his remaining lung and to wish that the world would stop going all fuzzy and that his body would stop throbbing. Every time his heart beat he seemed to hurt more. Ow. Ow. If only Arceus would bless him with unconsciousness...

...And suddenly someone was beside him. Saleen, he could gather, because the hazy form swimming in his vision was very pink. That or Laidir hadn't really gone back into his pokeball after all. But it was talking ,so it couldn't be the Jigglypuff. He grunted, very slowly breathing in enough air to attempt to talk. Shallow gasps weren't enough to manage words, he'd found. If it had been, he likely would have screamed at least once.

"...Chest..." He wheezed, still prone. Everything still hurt, and he wasn't dumb enough to try to sit up again. "Think...rib...punctured m'lung..." Owwww. Okay, no more talking. It hurt a little too much. Vaguely he wondered if they'd have to leave him here. He certainly wouldn't be clambering back over the downed trees to the van any time soon.

"Blah."
Was that a word? No. It probably wasn't.
"What..?" Aha, a word! "Why does the hedgehog explode?"
Tambrey found herself, rather dazed, peering up at the sky.
She tried to sit up and winced.
"Ah. Fraaaak! Ow!" Okay. That really hurt. She was sure something had happened to a rib or two and her arm seemed to be... nope.. her left arm was definitely broken.
The healing move seemed to help a little, but... /ow/. She really wished her arm wasn't broken.

"...zu." Came a voice, sounding even more dazed then her. The pink zubat had managed to crawl out from where he had landed and now clearly wanted nothing more than to retreat into his little sphere of safety. These people and pokemon were crazy.
Tilting her head, Tam' saw Lasi nearby and, with effort, sat up painfully to reach with her right hand for the bat's pokeball.
"Return.. Lasi."

Palu landed after the red light enveloped the bat and cooed worriedly. She hopped about, trying to peer at the injuries and stared at the oddly angled arm. People didn't usually bend, she remembered.

"I am absolutely fine," said Frost flatly to Xander. His ashen face, bleeding lip, and the multiple cuts in his uniform said otherwise, as did the way he continued to way slighty. He felt another surge of dizziness coming on then, however, and so a moment after insisting the was noting wrong with him he grabbed Xander's shoulder for support. "May be slightly dizzy," he muttered, trying desperately to keep his grip firm and to stop his knees from buckling. There was a job to do here. He could not afford the luxury of fainting in a pathetic heap.

A lot of rockets were down, but only a few looked like they were hurt too badly. A burst of ice exploding notified him of the galactic attempting to get away. That was not happening. Releasing another pokeball, Panther let out Swiftwing who let out a cry. "Stop that mecha! Air slash it."

Shade tried to fallow his latest directions, but the mecha moved. The gengar fallowed it up tree.

Still flying around the haunter found his trainer who was walking toward the nearest downed rocket who happened to be Tambrey. "Are you ok?" he winced at the arm, but was checking for other injures too.

Shadow floated down laughing "Haunter haunter!"

'Of course he was fine.' Alexander thought sarcastically. He held still when the older man held on to stabilize his self. He watched him worriedly with a frown as the other struggled in his own way. "What hurts? Or should I ask what doesn't hurt?" he asked Frost before very carefully and gently slipping his arm around his back to help keep him up. He wasn't sure if Frost would be happy with this but at the moment he was too concerned to let that stop him.

Demyx wouldn't dare admit he was somewhat relieved to see Lore step in, immediately followed Galactic trying to beat out a hasty retreat. That Seed Flare had done some heavy damage to their numbers, and as loathe as he was to admit it they'd like need to tend to the wounded. But hey, they'd won! It was this thought in mind that led to him giving his Vaporeon an affection pat on the head before nodding around the clearing.

"See anyone who could still use some help, Arpeggio?"

Instantly, the fins on the water type's head perked upwards, and he glanced around the clearing. He spotted a Glaceon heading towards a group of bushes and set off in that direction, his trainer close at his heels. It took a moment of sliding and sniffing before he located what the ice type had been hunting for. He delicately sat by leg of the Rocket while Demyx picked his way through the bushes. A head of blond hair alerted him to the fact he'd just found where Hayes had disappeared to.

"Need any help?"

Tambrey was shaking her head, gritting her teeth and trying to find some way of holding her arm to make it hurt less. There didn't seem to be one. Her thoughts continued to be somewhat muddled and a little fast.

As Panther addressed her, she looked over at him blearily.
"Tha' little spiky thing made m' ears hurt." She told him earnestly, then seemed to remember something else. "I think I cracked a rib..." Aha. There was pain, yes. Ow! But, at least the pain was good to break through her daze a little. "... My arm may be broken."

Palu looked at Panther and hopped urgently. Good. A human. He could make the featherless not-bendy again, perhaps. She watched Swiftwing fly off and was half tempted to go too, but worry for her trainer (and for the bat now tucked in his ball) kept her where she was.

"Scor." Phillip made no effort to fight back as he was pursued. He focused all of his energy on dodging the blows and staying airborne when one managed to connect. He had to get back to his master.

Bloodied, battered and on the verge of collapse, the gliscor landed roughly on the remains of the mecha, depositing the breloom beside him, "Gli... ..scor.." He panted.

"Phillip." Deimos frowned and looked past the gliscor at the regrouping Rockets. There was no hope of getting the ball back now. Heaving a sigh, he pulled a potion from the tattered remains of their picnic basket, which by some miracle was still in the cockpit, and sprayed it over the bat's numerous injuries. "Get us out of here."

Still out of breath, the gliscor stooped obediently so Deimos and Tethys could climb onto his back. Tethys recalled her breloom as Deimos hauled himself onto the giant bat, "...this is just a minor setback." He muttered.

"Yes, sir," Tethys agreed in a neutral tone. As the gliscor took to the air she added, "There are band-aids in the first aid kit."

Lore watched as the Galactics escaped. They could potentially try to chase them down, but it really didn't seem worth it. In their escape they'd left behind the remains of their mecha, their galactic ball prototype and several unconscious grunts. Team Rocket had won.

"Alright.. who here has Pokémon large enough to carry the wounded back to the trucks? We got what we came for."

Somebody was touching him. Most of him wanted to recoil away from whoever or whatever it was but with all of his usual control focused on the physical rather than the emotional, Frost became aware of a small, deeply buried longing for contact...

It was Xander, and Xander had said something to him. Frost blinked and tried to focus on the young man.

"My feet don't hurt very much," he volunteered eventually in vaguely bemused tones, making no move to pull away, "but most of the rest does... I'm not certain that I can stand up by myself for long." Please don't let me go.

He was too close for comfort, far too close, but he couldn't manage by himself and so he would have to accept help. Being so close was uncomfortable, disturbing even but... but even so there was that little part of him that never wanted to let go. How could want both to pull away and to lean closer? It made no sense. None at all. He always made sense. Must just be the pain, confusing him. One or the other, not both; being conflicted to this extreme was stupid and he was not a stupid person...

Still, he had no time to worry about that at the moment; he had to focus on staying awake and on, if not being useful, at least not being a burden.

Oh…that sounded bad…far beyond what Saleen could do. Esther managed to appear at this point, she had been lurking in the shadows. But she wasn’t big enough to carry him…so what should….Saleen looked around for something she could so, she wasn’t sure if she could lift Repo. “Hold on , I will go get help. Esther watch him.” said Saleen as she stood up and looked around, trying to find some one who could help her. They needed to either get the cars here, or somehow get these injured people back to the cars…now which seemed easiest…if someone had a big pokemon like an arcanine that could carry the injured, they could try and carry them back to the SUVs….

Just then Lorvan said what she had been thinking, but sadly Saleen didn’t have any large enough. Hopefully someone did…Lorevan had a gyarados but…it might be too hard for them to hang onto with how badly hurt they were… plus if he didn’t offer his pokemon to help, he probably wasn’t going to anyways. Saleen frowned and looked around…fallen trees…maybe they could make make a quickie stretcher to carry the wounded on…would that work?

The blast had not been kind to Hayes - from the looks of things he'd been thrown against a tree with concussive force, impaling slivers of bark through his exposed skin, whereupon he'd slid down and gotten tangled in the bushes. Nemerle took a branch in her mouth and pulled it back, pawing at others, while Switch scampered forward with a "Pika-pi!" and tried to lever his person's foot out of a thorn bush.

The agent blinked through the patchwork of leaves. Who was tha- oh. Exposed belly. Him. "That'd be- ow- great." he managed, trying to get upright but finding his progress impeded by another shrubbery. "Got any ideas?"

There was a scream from the clearing as Darwin descended, landing on one of the listing legs and cocking his head upside down to study the strange scene.

Perhaps as a strange blessing, Repo shortly lost consciousness after giving his self-assessment to Saleen. His breathing became even more rapid, and if one looked closely, they would be able to see the slow purpling of his lips--cyanosis, a clear sign that despite his frantic and labored breathing, he was not getting enough oxygen.

At least unconscious, the potentially jarring return trip would be spared him.
