Winged Timberwolf Galestar & Starclan kitty xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mosspaw,xxxxShe-cat xxxxxxxxxx Medicine Cat Apprenticexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Breezeclanxxxx, If you can't feed a l o t of cats, then feed just o n e.───────────────────────────────────────────────── Mosspaw stared in horror as Galestar's convulsions didn't seem to lessen. She whimpered lightly as she watched him claw at nothing, gagging. Stupid idea. She told herself, eyes wide with horror as she watched his convulsions turn into twitching and then as he lost another life. If she didn't do something soon then he would lose all his lives!
The tuxedo she-cat let out a gasp of surprise when a medicine cat appeared. "Help me!" She wailed to the cat, not realizing that only she could see her. She stared at the medicine cat, not missing the kindness in her eyes. It was a look that she got from Wolfspirit when he accepted her as his apprentice. Mosspaw closed her mouth as she listened to the she-cat. "Massage...?" She repeated softly before standing up again and padding to her leader once more.
Taking a deep breath, Mosspaw placed her paws on Galestar's chest and began to work, ignoring the voices around her. "Like this?" Mosspaw asked the cat, oblivious to the odd stares she was getting. ───────────────────────────────────────────────── D a r e to reach out y o u r paw into the d a r k n e s s, to pull a n o t h e r paw into the l i g h t.

Painted souls that streak the sky StarClan
Ice-ears nodded, flicking her ears. "Good, good," she praised quickly, sitting next to Mosspaw. "Make sure to push up along the neck and towards the jaw- knead gently yet firmly. He'll have to cough out what's lodged in his chest." Pausing, she added, "It's a good thing you moistened the dirt first, it helped loosen it so it could be pushed out easier." Ice-ears stepped back, staring at Galestar with affection and remorse glowing in her eyes. Without taking her eyes off of the creamy-furred warrior, she said gently, "Don't blame this on yourself. You were unprepared, barely an apprentice. You are doing well for one so inexperienced. Remember what to give him for the shock and the pain."
Her form glimmered, fading slowly into the tense air. Ice-ear's eyes glowed once more, a flash of approval glinting in them, before they too were gone.

Winged Timberwolf Galestar & Starclan kitty xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mosspaw,xxxxShe-cat xxxxxxxxxx Medicine Cat Apprenticexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Breezeclanxxxx, If you can't feed a l o t of cats, then feed just o n e.───────────────────────────────────────────────── Mosspaw beamed up at the she-cat as she was praised. Nodding, she obediently did as the medicine cat directed; moving along the neck and towards the jaw. Gently but firm. She repeated in her head over and over again to make sure she wasn't too rough. At the she-cat's next words Mosspaw let out a breath. She had been waiting to be told that the water was a bad idea. Stupid even, but here the she-cat was saying that it was a good thing. That it made things a bit easier.
The black and white she-cat nodded slowly. "Okay... I'll try not to." She promised with a nod, she knew what to give cats for shock and pain. Wolfspirit had already told her that. Looking up briefly, she saw that the cat was fading. What she couldn't figure out was why. "Where're you going?" Mosspaw asked curiously, before the cat completely disappeared. Then it hit her. She had just been talking with a Starclan cat. Had to be. They were the only cats she could think of that could do that. Starclan... She thought in awe, looking back down to Galestar. "Galestar?" Mosspaw mewed hesitantly, still kneading gently. ───────────────────────────────────────────────── D a r e to reach out y o u r paw into the d a r k n e s s, to pull a n o t h e r paw into the l i g h t.

XXXxXXXXX Hauntednight and SiegefurySiegefury could only stare at Galestar's death-threatening condition, feeling completely useless. He turned to Embergaze, expecting to at least feel reassured by the easy-going gray...but it turned out the warrior was as shocked and clueless as he was! Siegefury began picking at the ground with his claws in both unease...and anger. He gritted his teeth, flicking his tail in frustration. Why did Galestar have to be in these kind of circumstances? Why couldn't he do anything to help his dying leader? I have to do something...I just have to...! But what!? It was then that Siegefury realized that he was shaking for the first time in moons...shaking out of fear for a solution. At that moment he forced himself to stop, looking elsewhere for anything that could prove as a distraction.
His ears burned as Whirlpaw came up to his father, trying to 'wake' him up. Stop it Whirlpaw...it won't work! He flattened his ears in hopes to muffle the noises, digging his claws even harder into the churned earth.
It was then he heard a barely audible murmur. 'Water' Siegefury straightened his position, ears pointed upwards. Mosspaw was the new medicine cat/apprentice now...so of course she had to be right! He was ready to carry out the task but hadn't realized he had pinned himself to the ground. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Whirlpaw's tail high in the air as he lead Mosspaw to the water. When Mosspaw returned, Siegefury was sure to give her plenty of space, straining his senses in case of any further danger. He had to at least do something than hope on both Mosspaw and Starclan! Siegefury tried to disregard the desperate gasps that convulsed from Galestar's dirt-clogged throat that made his fur prickle uneasily. That kind of stuff was supposed to happen if any cat were trying to cough something up... He reassured himself.
"Help me!"
He heard Mosspaw call out and immediately took on a battle stance with claws unsheathed and posed to attack. His head turned violently from side to side, trying to pinpoint the danger...only to be left staring at Mosspaw who seemed to be talking with thin air. Siegefury gawked at her in confusion and was rewarded with a further awkward standstill. Even Hauntednight couldn't understand what was going on and gave his son the look that meant Siegefury did something wrong. Was she questioning herself out loud? Did she have an imaginary friend she was consulting with? Or maybe it was hysteria...? Despite the self-questionings, Mosspaw was following them and it was doing something. Siegefury padded over to Mosspaw's side, eyeing Galestar with an undeniable awe.
"Wake up, Galestar." He mewed in a strangely gentle tone, feeling very much like Whirlpaw. Didn't he just want Galestar to 'wake up'?
Hauntednight's ears twitched in surprise at how gentle his son was being. He rarely showed this side of himself...to anyone. The only time he'd seen it was when he was mourning for Pebbleheart. But that was quick and he had stormed off to the warrior's den for who knows what? Hauntednight reluctantly joined everyone, leaning over in his own curiosity as to the outcome of this dire treatment.

The pressure from the heavy earth surrounding him was crushing him slowly. Choking, gasping for air, he tried digging upward, blinded by darkness and the hot, sweltering pain in his throat. All at once, light shone down at him as two paws dug back the dirt above him. He lunged for the surface, clawing his way out of the hole. Pebbleheart looked down at him with compassion glimmering in her eyes. "I'm so sorry, Galestar," she whispered. "I should've warned you sooner that you would die...but it was not in StarClan's plan..." 'It's not your fault!' Galestar thought, coughing on the dirt compacted in his lungs. 'I'd never blame you for this...if it was meant to be, it was meant to be...' Pebbleheart began massaging his throat, helping push the dirt out of his mouth. "It'll be okay, Galestar," she reassured him, compassion glowing in her eyes. "I'll always be watching over BreezeClan. I believe you can survive what is to come, and I'll help you in any way I can. If I had known what was coming..." She trailed off, sighing.
"Wake up, Galestar"
Galestar gagged, his eyes shooting open. He began convulsing again, and dirt slid out of his mouth. He gagged again, finally getting the last of the dirt out. And he gasped- air! Beautiful air! Coughs stopped him from taking the big, deep breath his lungs ached for, but he was breathing again. He trembled slightly, wheezing as his vision began to clear. He saw Mosspaw at his side, which confused him. Where was Wolfspirit? "W-wo-" he began in a raspy voice before he was seized by another coughing fit. . : Whirlpaw : .The small apprentice watched Mosspaw work nervously. He shifted on his paws, wanting to help but at the same time not wanting to distract her from her focus. He sat patiently as he waited. He could hear her toalking with someone, someone he could not see. He tilted his head. Who was she talking to? His stern look turned into a look of awe as his father's eyes opened. Once Galestar had finished coughing out the trapped dirt he padded over to his side, cuddling against his shoulder. He smiled at Mosspaw, a look of great gratitude. "Thank you Mosspaw. You are amazing!" He then looked at the same spot that Mosspaw had been looking and smiled. "Thank you to for helping Mosspaw." He said to the invisible helper, wondering if they were still there or not. She may not have know it, but the small medicine apprentice was now an idol to the little Siamese. Hopefully next time he to could be of use. ... you smell kinda funny... Even if a snake is not poisonous...__________________________________________________________
"He is dead."
The she cat spoke in a hushed voice as her still shocked face met Galestar's. She padded up to his slowly, checking to be sure that her beloved leader truly was ok. She wouldn't be able to handle losing him as well.
"Serpentfang tried her best, she truly did, but he slipped through her paws. The ground had swallowed him up when he rushed to save Mosspaw."
She hung her head, her eyes focused on the murderous and hungry earth below her claws.
"Serpentfang was not fast enough.... Serpentfang just... froze..."

Willing him to return to them. She looked to Whirlpaw and nodded. "You're welcome..." She said hesitantly, she really couldn't take the credit though. It was the Starclan cat who helped her, she just did as she was told. The black and white apprentice jumped backwards a bit when his blue eyes shot open, but she took to her spot again once her racing heart had slowed down a bit. Hearing his coughing, she turned and padded back to the puddle, returning with another water soaked leaf. Setting it down in front of her leader, she looked up at him with sad eyes. "It's my fault Galestar." She muttered, lowering her eyes to her paws. "Serpentfang was brilliant... I.. If I had been with the other apprentices, he wouldn't have needed to save me." She slowly brought her green eyes to Galestar.
The black and white cat sighed and gently tapped the ground beside the leaf. It would be easier on his throat if he gave it some moisture. Or, she assumed anyways. Water always seemed to help her when she was coughing. He scooted the young kitten into his chest with his foreleg, wrapping his paws around him and resting his cheek on the ground, his nose pressing into the kitten's fur.
"No, Serpentfang, it's not your fault," he wheezed. "You are not responsible for other warriors. Wolfspirit must've known the risk in saving Mosspaw. I think he would've done the same for any cat. He died a true warrior's death, even if he was a medicine cat." He twitched his tail, grief washing over him. His deputy and his medicine cat were now in StarClan's ranks...BreezeClan had the worst history with this! Galestar himself had outlived two deputies and three medicine cats now. All things considered, he was very lucky. It also reminded him of how old he was.
He took Mosspaw's cue and sat up a bit so he could lap at the water in the leaf. In between licks, he murmured, "Do not blame yourself either, Mosspaw. It is in the past now. What we have to worry about now is what we're going to do with a medicine cat apprentice and no medicine cat..." He trailed off, sighing, and settled back down with Whirlpaw in his embrace. The leader closed his eyes, thinking. "Alright. If the earthquake's stopped, I need Embergaze, Hauntednight, and Siegefury to assess the territory. Serpentfang, I want you to run back to camp and see what the damage is-report back to me. Hopefully the damage isn't too bad."
Galestar flicked his tail, adding, "Someone needs to tell Valiantstride the news." Galestar hoped the new deputy hadn't perished as well. My approachment is ✣ ϻalicepaw XXXXCurrently I have vehemence for ✣ hatred XXXXXXMy current minions ✣ No one As the cats scrambled out behind me, and rushing infront of myself, I kept a calm and chill personality. My heead held high, my green-tinted tail was held like this aswell, a prideful step taken at each glance of me. I noticed a female, my eyes stared at her for awhile, a rather pretty female, but her coat soon disappeared into the others, and I had a rather angry look on my face. "Well, my view, ruined" I growled, but, distraction followed soon, a salmon eye flickered over to a group of cats, not even caring about the rumbling ground, which was growing fainter and fainter, and was now not even shaking anymore. I followed over to the group, the black eye following after the salmon, curiousity sparking inside myself, unable to resist the temptation that coursed through my veins. I peeked over, seeing Galestar had fallen, I almost laughed, pleasure dawning throughout my body. I didn't like the tom, at all, he was far to cheery, took things to lightly, it was pathetic, strange, it made him look weak. Even though, he still had his moments where he would make me admire him, where he would turn serious, lead his clan bravely, without fear, nothing seemed to bother him. The 'flying cat' would soon become serious enough to my standards, someone who I would respect for a short amount of time. Now was not this, a pretty female appeared, I stared at her, almost dazed, finally, I recognized it as Mosspaw. Scoffing, my gaze trailed form her, she would be useless to flirt with, it wouldn't affect her, she was a Medicine Cat Apprentice, if I flirted with her, she'd just get mad or something, I knew this.
I growled under my breath, backing up from the group, feeling a light crowd was bothering me, to many cats, almost suffocating with their horrible, wretched, disgusting scent. Blegh, made me sick! They were such disgusting and pitiful creatures, how I hated cats so much, I bit my lip, resisting the urge to lash out at one of the awful creatures, as I sat back on my green-tinted haunches, a light grin formed on my face, as they announced he was losing a life, perfect, it was perfect. The quicker he lost lives, the quicker he'd be dead. I thought of Valiantstride, but he was on the way too. He'd take over, well, Valiantstride wasn't as horrible. He was a rather serious tom, I liked him more than Galestar, Valiantstar I thought that word, it seemed so realistic, so pleasurable. A nice word, a fitting name for a Leader, not like Galestar. Mosspaw seemed to be under the guidance of StarClan, I could tell by her actions, the way she moved, what she did, the commands she sent out. Soon, coughing came, a cat looked up, it was Galestar. He hadn't lost his last life. So close... I thought to myself. Well, what had happened...? Oh yes, I see, the Medicine Cat had made thier passing, leaving Mosspaw as the only Medicine Cat in the clan. Maybe this would shorten the lifespan of this leader. Except... she'd be under the guidance of StarClan, possibly other Medicine Cat's. "Galestar" I began, clearing my throat, a british voice etching from my maw, slightly raspy as I cleared it. "Perhaps we can ask another clan's Medicine Cat to help train our own." he mumbled to his Leader, he really didn't want to help him. But he was helping Mosspaw. She was a female, he liked females. ✣ Windmill, windmill, for the land. ✣ Love forever, hand in hand. ✣ Take it all in, on your stride. ✣ It is sinking, falling down. ✣ Love forever, love is free. ✣ Let's turn forever, you and me

That would help stop the wheezing. She bowed her head as the leader began to speak. She would try her best to not let it bother her, but it was an interesting burden to carry. She gave Wolfspirit a reason to risk his life and now Breezeclan had no medicine cat. Mosspaw shook her head and sighed, pushing the empty leaf away from them.
"I'll tell him." Mosspaw offered. She thought someone else might jump up to offer to break the news to their newly named deputy; but her thoughts had been mistaken as everyone else was either still in a bit of a state, or scrambling to put together the patrols that Galestar wanted. So, standing up; she turned and weaved through the throng of cats; looking for the pelt of Valiantstride. "Valianstride?" Now, the black pelted warrior knew that she shouldn't judge, but she found that it was a hard thing to do when her leaders life was in jeopardy. Ravenwind was pulled from her thoughts as Galestar coughed. She let out the breath she didn't know she had been holding when he began to speak.
Ravenwind sat down with a thump and sighed as she curled her tail around her paws, watching Mosspaw disappear in search of their deputy. Her ears perked up at Malicepaw's suggestion. He had a point. So much had happened. She was made Wolfspirit's apprentice a moon ago. She had only learned some of the basics. Now she had no one to learn from. How was she supposed to be a good medicine cat for Breezeclan if she had no one to teach her? The tuxedo she-cat sighed and looked around at the cluster of cats. Worried, scared and tired.
The small she-cat shook her head and stood up again. She had to find Valiantstride and tell him. So she resumed her search. "Valiantstride?" She meowed. "Valiantstride... Wolfspirit is dead..." LOCATION: Moorlands...I think? COMPANY: Mosspaw, everyone else nearby OOC: The guild is very dead >_>
Thankfully, the queens and apprentices did not stir up a huge panic when they were told to move. Valiantstride followed at the back of the group, shepherding them towards the moors where there were no trees that could potentially fall and crush them. Some of the warriors were still in camp, helping others or helping the injured. He would love to return and help, but he was responsible for this group and he couldn’t drop his duties. Over the roar of the ground and the churning soil, he vaguely heard Mosspaw yowl for help, and out of the corner of his eye he glimpsed Wolfspirit darting over to help her. He whirled around to help the tuxedo apprentice, but the sight of her head poking over the hole was enough to reassure him that she was safe. Little did he know that their medicine cat paid with his life, had he known, he would have dived in to attempt to save the both of them with no hesitation. The ground quaked and caved in underneath his paws, and he felt his right paw wrench painfully when he unknowingly stepped into a deep hole that suddenly formed beneath his paws, spraining it rather badly. Only the adrenaline pumping through his veins kept him running without limping and dulled his nociception.
As quickly as it had begun, the earthquake stopped abruptly and the ground stopped quaking beneath his feet. The adrenaline rush through his system died down, and pain flared up in his twisted paw immediately. Uttering a silent hiss of pain, he stiffly raised his paw to lick at the swollen and inflamed joint for some momentary relief. He would have loved to stop and tend to his sprained leg, but right now the clan was in disarray and they needed a leader. Speaking of leaders…where was Galestar? He quickly did a headcount to make sure that no one in his group was missing. Wolfspirit wasn’t here, which was a bit worrying. Knowing that his group of clanmates would be alright without him for a few moments, he made his way slowly towards a gathering group of cats to see what the commotion was about after he saw Mosspaw make her way there. He caught sight of the fiery pelt of Siegefury, and his heart nearly skipped a beat when he noticed the unmistakable Siamese pelt on the ground. He seemed to be breathing in a ragged manner, but Mosspaw was helping him and at least he was alive. He was about to limp off to aid any other clanmate in need when the tuxedo pelt of Mosspaw jumped in front of him. ”Mosspaw? What’s wro—“ The words had barely left his mouth when Mosspaw broke the terrible news of Wolfspirit’s death to him. ”Wait, wasn’t he—oh.” Realisation sank in slowly as he put two and two together. Wolfspirit had dived in to save Mosspaw, and had paid with his life. That left the question: who would teach Mosspaw the ways of the medicine cat for the remainder of her apprenticeship? The apprentice looked so sad that he could not bring himself to break that question to her. ”He died with honour, and he now hunts in the lush forests of Starclan.” He meowed to the grieving apprentice, trying to comfort her as best as he could. ”Meanwhile, we need to regroup and do a headcount, and make sure that we haven’t lost anyone else. How is Galestar faring?” He meowed firmly as he set his sprained paw down to walk, only to wince and draw it back off the ground. How ironic, considering my name has “stride” in it. He scoffed mentally at his own humourless joke as he turned back to Mosspaw.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mosspaw,xxxxShe-cat xxxxxxxxxx Medicine Cat Apprenticexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Breezeclanxxxx, If you can't feed a l o t of cats, then feed just o n e.───────────────────────────────────────────────── Mosspaw looked up at Valiantstride as the realization of the events tied together. Her mentor helped her. He was no where to be seen. The mind would right away put the things together. She blinked and returned her gaze to the deputy as he spoke again, swallowing and nodding at his comment. Oh yes, he would have a blast in Starclan. She couldn't deny that he was happy up there, for the most part. She just wished that he could have stayed for a few more moons. There was so much they hadn't done yet. She hadn't even done the basics of battle training with him. Mosspaw remembered asking him about the things they would do. He said she would learn all sorts of herbs and how to help cats as well as battle training. Then she had asked why they needed to fight if they healed cats. He replied saying that everyone needed to know how to defend themselves. She shifted on her paws and blinked when she realized that Valiantstride had spoken to her again.
Looking around, she rested her gaze on Galestar. How was he? "He'll be fine... His throat might be a little sore for a while. He had been choking on dirt. He uh... I think he lost a life... But Wolfspirit didn't... He didn't have the chance to tell me what that looks like so... But he's fine now though... Galestar I mean." Mosspaw mumbled, shifting awkwardly on her paws. Speaking of paws, she caught sight of Valianstride set his paw down only to lift it up again. She opened her mouth to ask about it, but then closed it again. She didn't know what to do for injured paws that had almost no signs of injury. Mosspaw sighed and shrugged, looking back to the deputy with her green eyes. ───────────────────────────────────────────────── D a r e to reach out y o u r paw into the d a r k n e s s, to pull a n o t h e r paw into the l i g h t.

F i r e r a i n
[After the earthquake, Firerain had been frantically searching for his only family left; Snowcherry. Snowcherry was his mother. His siblings, Trapflight, Rockkit, and Sandpaw had all died off, along with their father, Shadow. It was horrible. But Firerain had vowed to protect his mother at any costs, even his own life! What was even worse was the thought of not having a family of his own. It amazed the calico tom how all the she-cats go after those rude toms, and leave gentlemen like himself behind. Sighing, Firerain continued his search for his mother, ignoring the commotion around him.]
"Mom! Snowcherry!"[He called, hoping for a response. A response from his very own mother, telling him she was alright, and they'd be happy together and live the rest of their lives happy. Beginning to believe the worst, Firerain wondered if his mother was out hunting and was crushed, or got caught in a landslide.] "I couldn't forgive myself if that were ever to happen.."[He told himself mentally. I mean, what IF it happened. No. He couldn't think like that. Forcing himself to think positive, Firerain let this memories of his family run through his mind. Him and Trapkit fighting like the stupid kits they were, protecting Sandpaw from the falcons, and his parents happily together. Smiling, the tom chuckled, and continued his searching.
