Selael
The Pyromancer
Selael let out a snort of contempt at Maarick, following the two of them but still keeping his distance. He followed the woman called Lily to show him the way to the study, wherever it was... He saw the study and looked around. This would be an environment he'd enjoy being in if not for the fact that he had to be here with Maarick of all people, though this was something that had to be done. He seemed to adjust his robe and his hair, almost out of a strange habit, holding on to the books chained across his chest, almost as though trying to protect them. The nostalgia of seeing so many books in one place, so many secrets to be protected... It would become evident that there was some place that he'd rather be.
He was fairly sure he'd get the same sort of treatment from the Princess than he would from the people that he had to meet earlier... He let out a long, drawn-out breath, hoping this whole thing would get over with.

No sleep until I am done with finding the answer

I know that I am haunted to be wanted .
Dadrik smiled as his eyes were closed. He could feel her energy flowing a little better now. "You see, your getting it. Don't think, just feel." he said as they continued to move. After awhile, Slowly he untied they're fingers and let her go and backing away hoping she wouldn't notice. He opened his eyes and just watched. Soon they would be able to close they're eyes and move in sync together if she keeps up this quick. After the energy flow training though....it would get more rigorous. Even more deadly. But as it was going, Dadrik was pleased with her progress. She truly was alot smarter then she gave herself credit for. Now, it was only time to see if she could keep it up without him. If not, he would have to come back closer to her.
Maarick gave a bow to the princess as she turned and left. He then gave another bow as the maid came to them to show them the way. Maarick followed the maid closely to the Study. As they entered he looked around to see all the books. " Well it seems she does alot of delving into books." he said with a smile. "Always good to be well read. Just not always good to believe everything that is written." He said to himself. Maarick turned to the doorway to see If Selael was following. Maarick turned away to walk to a book shelf putting his finger up going through one at a time slowly. His finger stopped at one and he lifted his finger to the top, pulling the top out. He then turned it in his hand and opened it and started to read it.

Selael was becoming incredibly irritated now... Why in the name of Fire did he had to be paired off with this a*****e? He's just BEGGING to be torched by him, but no doubt has some inexplicable immortal power that makes him completely immune to anything that could possibly be done. No, no... Keep calm... Keep calm... All that anger and rage against the idiots he's had to put up with so far will be let out eventually when he finds out who was responsible for this whole mess, and more importantly, got him involved with the group of four rubes he's had to deal with the entire time involved with ludicrous, idiotic nonsense that drove him up a wall...
Yes... Soon, that flame that burns inside him will finally be able to be released and incinerate those who dare desecrate the secrets of the Kingdom... But he did wish he could incinerate Maarick "Accidentally" during the final confrontation...

Maarick continued to read though the book he picked up. It was truly intriguing. But other then his reading of the book, he could 'read' something else in the room. Selaels anger, his irritation. It seemed Maarick was angering him without trying. This man to him seemed well controlled but it was only a cover it would seem. Inside he was struggling to keep his anger inside of him. Thats the only think he could tell though. His thoughts on the other hand, he could not see why he was so angry. Orpheus right now would be a great help. Or at least thats what Maarick thought. But other then the mans irritation to Maarick, it seemed He seemed to be on Maarick's nerves to. Although he wouldn't let it show. Nor would he let it alter the way he talked to Selael. It seemed like this man disliked what Maarick said no matter what. That was the only thing that irritated Maarick. It was not his what seemed to be selfishness or lack of understanding why Maarick let his emotions guide him. Nor was it his inability to accept them or anything he said. It was just how he got worked up about it. How he was taking it the wrong way. Maarick excepted everything else. That was him. He even accepted his way of reacting even though it slightly irritated him. But if he kept this up, he may end up attacking. Maarick thought about it for a moment. It may be best to keep his mouth quiet while around this man. But he was one to say his mind, one to try and help understanding. And because of that, he led Selael to believe he was just being arrogant. took him the wrong way just because he seemed to be full of himself in a way.
Maarick closed the book with a snap in one hand then looked over to Selael. " How much longer are you going to keep your anger inside you... Until it makes you just straight up attack me? We are here, I'm am giving the feather back to the kingdom of Aden. Now I wish for you to go. Only because you may do something out of line if you stay with me. I irritate you, that is obvious. So there is no need for you to stick around any longer since the feather is being returned. So go, watch from a distance. You will eventually run into the person who started all this. And you will get your chance..." he said bluntly before the princess came tot he room.

What a shame we all became,
xxxxxxxxsuch fragile broken things,
A memory remains,
xxxJust a tiny spark,

Beatrix didn't even feel him letting her go. She continued her movements as she focused on her energy flow. She heard Dadrik's voice but his words didn't really reach her ears. Trix found herself in a meditated like state. The world around her had disappeared leaving her alone with her flow. I can do this...this isn't as hard as I thought it was... she thought. A smile appeared on her lips as she continued to move. Her own movements were starting to get more fluent and steady.
Then she heard a voice in the back of her head. It was soft but very familiar. She had heard this several time before but something didn't settle well with her about it. 'Don't mess up. I don't want to have to pick up after you again...' It purred. Her eyes snapped open and a small burst of white flame appeared in front of her making her stumbled back and fall onto the soft grass. She looked around as if she was looking for something.

 Katalina Hope Aden The moment I am thinking. { Is this guy really alright? }
The moment I am feeling. { Confused. }
Where I am standing now. { Inside the castle} The study. }
Who I stand with. { Maarick and Selael } Katalina walked into the room. It seemed like tension whelmed up in the air in the large room. Lina was confused. A few moments ago the air was light but now it was like as she could feel the tension between them. Lina shook of the thought. She had forgotten about her violin and placed in beside the desk once she entered the room. "This place should be a good place to have no disturbance." Lina said. Lily returned moments later with a tray and set it down on one of the side tables by a chair. It had cups of tea as well as a tea pot and so on.
Lina walked over to Maarick and took the book from his hand. Placing it gently back into it's place. "Do you think the old celler would be a good place to keep it? Or should I put it in the tower?" Lina asked him. Only whispering softly to him. She rather leave the other man alone. But still wasn't sure what to do. Lily left the study closing the doors behind her as she left. The Study was filled with a great silence. Lina walked over to the tea. "Would you like some tea?" She asked trying to lighten the mood a bit. Occupation Oinking Costume

The Pyromancer The Pyromancer looked over Katalina for a few moments, then decided now should be the time where he brought up the question that's been burning him for a while...
"Princess. Do you know who it was that killed the King and threatens the country?" This was incredibly forward of him to ask... It seemed he really wanted to get this over with. He adjusted the chains strapped across his body and seemed to relax his gaze as he looked at Katalina. He pondered the earlier question about where to keep the feather hidden...
"... I suppose that would depend on who's going after it." He remained rather still and collected, but seemed to be slightly more relaxed.

Dadriks lips turned into a smile as she continued to move without her. She was gaining it quick. This girl was a true flame user. No wonder she had such great flame ability. It's a shame that it was so willingly put in a cage. He saw her energy flow beginning to take shape and go where she wanted it to go, where she moved. And soon she would be able to control it without this meditative state. Dadrik's smile quickly faded though when he noticed something, something pushing its way in. He could not tell at all what this was though. As the white flame sparked out he stepped to the side, avoiding it. Something got to her, but what? And more so, how? As she fell Dadrik jogged to her side and knelt down by her. "Are you ok? What was that?" He asked. " There was....something disrupting you." He asked in a concerned voice.
Maarick turned away from Selael and smiled. She quickly took the book out of his hands and placed it back. " Oh and that was such a good book." He said with a crooked smile. As Lily left his smile became more serious. He stepped away from the book's and looked down at the tea as she offered it. "I'll gladly have some Tea." He said with a bow with his head. He then took the tea and brought it up to his lips and took a sip. Pulling the cup away from his lips he took his gaze to her. " Well my lady Phoenix, I suggest you put it back where we all got it from, the tower. After all its meant to be close to you. And that is a place high enough up that not many can get to it. And your guards can block passage down. But this time maybe a little bit of a barrier would prove useful." He told her with a nod and a quick smile. He then looked to Selael as he spoke. He hasn't left yet, this man's determination was great. " But it is true, it does depend on who is trying to steal it." He replied to his statement. He left the question alone, it was blunt and straight forward. But he felt it best not to respond, let the princess do that.

Beatrix looked up at Dadrik and rubbed the back of her head. "No..no..I'm fine..I just lost it..that's all." She muttered. She let out a soft sigh and closed her eyes for a moment as she thought about the voice. She knew it from some where. Was it from a memory or something else? Trix opened her eyes and looked up at him. She gave him a small smile before she got back on to her feet again. Disrupt me? Oh yea tell him that I'm hearing voices now. Yea thats great...Another thing to add to my list of dysfunctions. She shook her head and ran her hand through her long back hair. "I think I just got distarcted by something...Thats all.." It was the truth.
Trix pushed away her thoughts about the voice and crossed her arms. She decided it was better to changed the subject. "It started to flow better. I felt as though I was getting better at it...the energy flow...I started to get a bit more comfortable with it but its still not like your's"

Who I stand with. { Maarick and Selael } Katalina's soft expression turn into a serious one. She shook her head at Selael. "If I would of know then I would have told someone that would be able to fix the problem. But I do not know." Lina's expression saddened at the thought of her father. She often didn't like the subject and rather pushed it aside. But with this she couldn't just not answer the man. It would be rude of her. Lina turned to Maarick then. "Please you don't have to be so formal. And you know very well I am not Lady phoenix. Lina will do just fine." Said with with a smile. But the smile quickly faded away just as soon as her sadness.
Lina nodded at Maarick. "Putting up a barrier would be a good idea. But then again it will take some time to make one around it. But I'm sure we can manage to try to get one up as soon as possible. It is just a matter of finding people to help do it. Do any of you know of who could be of some assistance with doing that." Lina asked as she walked over to her desk that was cluttered with books. She took her tea cup and placed it on a small table that was near the desk. She shuffled through the books till she found what she was looking for. "Here." Lina said as she opened the book. It seemed to be old and worn. It contained lots of information on magics. It would be some use to them. Occupation Oinking Costume

Dadriks shook his head as she spoke. She was covering it up and it was obvious. But she didn't want to tell him so he just sighed. " Yeah, ok." He told her in a calm voice. He smiled again though just to prove he let it go. Though, if she did not get it out there, it may just be how she looses her emotions so easy. "Well of course it isn't going to be like mine. It takes...well thousands of years for something like that. But you really want to see something....you should see Maarick. He has more self control then anyone I've ever met." He said bragging a little. " But anyway, you got that down basically...not for your emotions....Although I'm to good with that as you've seen. I let my ego get the better of me. Maarick would be best to teach you that one. But one thing I can give advice on is the same as the energy flow. If you meditate like that, you'll be able to control your emotions. It will be easier for you to hold back anger, hate, sadness. It will also help you control weather you let something get to you. Weather its something someone says or if its a bad memory." Dadirk stood up slowly and turned from her and walked away several yard again. As he walked away he spoke. " Now, you got the energy flow you can practice that. But lets move on to something a bit more needed. Your body. Its toughness, it's resistance. You must get burned you know this right?" He said slowly turning around. He lifted his hands up infront of his chest and they ignited into black flame. " Your going to have to learn how to fight better. How to keep your eyes up with me. You may not move as fast, but your eyes will be able to see my movements. This is so that you can react with your energy flow in the middle of a fight. Everything so far has been instinct...lets make it into action. Now prepare yourself." He told her bluntly. He was going to have to do this, but he would not do anything to drastic.
Maarick really thought his question was unnecessary. Something like that was rude and would hurt her. Her father Passing away isn't that easy of a subject. But just to avoid any more irritation to the man he just kept his mouth shut. This was not the place he wanted an outbreak from him. Instead he watched Katalina. She still didn't feel she was the phoenix of legend. Although there was obvious signs. " You may not believe it yet but I would not try to lead you to believe false words..Lina. But we will converse more of this at a later time." He said reaching under a cloth and pulling out the pouch with the feather in it. " You are more important then you know." He said with smile as he lifted his arm to give her the feather as well as walking to the front of the desk. " My brother Dadrik could help with the Barrier part, he is quite good with white magics. But If you feel it best for someone of Aden to do so I would understand. " he said with a nod. "Maybe even Selael here can help you. He want's nothing more then to protect the treasures and secrets of Aden. He may know something. " He said looking over to him.

The Pyromancer
The Pyromancer took a look at the book and his own magic tome... His own was more geared toward fire magic, though this other one would prove useful. Yet again, though, he'd likely be passed over for the green-haired, cocky partner he was forced to be with until this was over. No matter... He needed to find who was responsible for it before they make another move. Selael wasn't about to just let the opportunity slip away... He'd sit back and wait for some sort of clue as to who it was that was behind this. He needed to actually do something, but it'd be foolish to run out there blind and just nakedly display his intentions... It was the whole reason he went on this fool's errand of trailing these people in the first place.
He then remembered protecting the feather and suddenly came up with a plan... He pulled up his Pyromancy Tome and flipped through it, opening the page to a rather complicated ward of some sort... He started memorizing it and produced some charcoal and a parchment, writing down what his tome said.
"Drawn... With Ash... And Charcoal... Octagonal matrix... Glyphic outer layer as follows..." He then started copying down the Glyphs as instructed in the tome... He seemed to have something that would be at the very least instrumental to protecting the feather. He then finished drawing the Ward and nodded slowly, as though confirming that it could, in fact, work. He put down the Pyromancy tome and handed the paper over to Katalina...
It described a Fire Ward. This ward would only be able to be dispelled by someone in possession of the original ash used to construct the array... Those who didn't and were not permitted near whatever the Ward was guarding would be blasted back by a wall of Flames that would burst out as long as there was some sort of substance nearby that was not in possession of the original ashes... The only trouble was to ensure that the array would be on a surface where ash wouldn't just be kicked off and wreck the Ward... It had to be done in a place that had a material porous enough that it would take in the pigment, but hard enough that the ash and charcoal could actually be scraped into it.

Beatrix titled her head to the side. Keep up with his movements? How in the world am I suppose to do that? she wondered. She blinked when he told her to prepare herself. Prepare? For what? What exactly is he planning on doing? She uncrossed her arms and they fell to her sides. Her eyes locked on to him. Making it into action? How exactly am I going to do this? Hes not going to attack me is he? Her ears lowered at the thought. I'm already not liking this part... Trix then gave him a nod to tell him that she was ready, or at least she thought she was, for what ever he was going to do her next.

Who I stand with. { Maarick and Selael } Katalina was handed a paper. She looked it over, it seemed it would be of great use but the only problem was that how the spell worked. The castle didn't really have much metal on the interior of it'self. Much less the tower. "This is interesting but I don't know if it would work. There is only stone floors so it would be hard to keep the mark on the ground without it being unsettled. But then again what if we were able to burn the stone around the feather?" Lina pondered over it in her head. But mo matter how she looked at it would take a lot of time and magic no matter what way.
Lina sighed. She wasn't sure what to do. "Maarick your brother would be helpful with the magic. But first we need to get step one finished before we can even start step two." Lina turned back to the other man. "I am sorry to trouble you with this. But could you maybe assist me in trying to figure this out. I want the best way possible to go at this. After all it will take some time. Would you mind?" Lina asked him. But she rather not bother him. It seemed as if the man was already dreading the deal right now. She rather not pull him into more things. "If you do not want to that is perfectly fine." Lina said trying to reassure that it was just a question. Occupation Oinking Costume
