Alex paused as he quickly scanned the mess within the gates. The marksman did not want to fire his arrows wildly when there is a huge chance he might accidentally hit one of his allies. Aside form that he had to conserve his arrows he had on him for now for the remainder of this battle, however long that's going to last.
"There!" he thought as the arrow sung through the air that was filled the battle sounds. Clangs and screams and foot steps were all that's heard among this area. It sure as hell was not a pretty sight. His arrow struck a cavalier that was charging at the soldiers. His eyes have not failed him once so far which was something he was glad about.
As he got another arrow ready, he hadn't realized it but he finally noticed the giant fire dragon that had appeared in a skirmish in the town he first ran into these guys. So he really wasn't seeing things, but he could see the fire dragon was dealing with it's own fair share of trouble. Unfortunately he couldn't help the dragon and would have to deal with the other enemies to help his own allies on the ground level.
Every time he spotted an ally in trouble fending off the enemy, Alex would quickly unleash an arrow to assist and quickly take out the enemy soldier. Of course, this wasn't a thing he could do alone. "We'll need to take out the soldiers from both sides of the gates," he said to the archers as they nodded in agreement. The archers worked together as the group splitted into two factions aiming for the outside of the gate and inside the gate to assist the soldiers at the ground level.
The morning light that started to shine from the horizon sent out a great beacon of hope as the sounds of trumpets were heard in the distance. To what his knowledge is, a trumpet blaring usually is a good thing. As a matter of fact, this situation proved his knowledge to be true as he spots the reinforcements in the distance charging down the city. There was a part of him that wanted to rejoice, but of course this was not the time for that. The sharpshooter should have to continue fighting and the rejoicing will come after this is completely done with. "Come guys!" he yelled through the air, "Let's finish this battle!" All the archers cheered in unison and continued their attacks on the enemy with their morale boosted.
==================================================
Swing. Clash. Clank. Clink. Bash. Clunk. Bam. Thud. These sounds were heard all around Oujay as he fought through the enemy lines in order to rendezvous. A bandit lunged himself at the young hero, but he just let himself become wide open in the process. A bash in the bandit's head with the boy's shield instantly knocked him off balance and caused a chain reaction where the brigand fell onto his own ally in his dizzy state. The boy didn't bother to finish him off, he just pressed on forward to help his allies.
After a ruthless path of enemies in his way, Oujay began to see his allies coming closer. He spots Abel sending in a huge blast of wind at the entrance of the gate that the enemy was overflowing with. He also spotted the wolf laguz that he had fought along side back when they confronted Rogvald a while back. The hero leaped into the air over a couple bandits and landed in a small opening and was now ever closer to his allies.
Another quick set of attacks on the bandits created more room around the young blue haired boy as he spotted someone in trouble. He dashed forward, shield first in the direction of the struggling ranger in order to assist him. As the enemy got ready to swing his weapon at the white haired ranger, Oujay jumped in and pushed the enemy away and quickly counterattacking with a quickly slice at the side of the enemy ending his life.
"Are you alright?" Oujay asked Kiote as he stood in front of the ranger to allow the enemies to attack the hero instead. The boy was relieved to know that he was still alive and is managing to stand on his own still. "Oh..." he said as he realized he had something as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a vulnerary. He just tossed it over to the ranger whom he was defending knowing that the healing item will definitely prove useful to him.

Super Awesome Swordsman; Jaren Degriess!
I'm the HERO of JUSTICE LOVE ME! Jaren nodded, Derrin struck.
The mage's gloved hand whipped out, a right hook directed for Jaren's face. Jaren stepped back, avoiding the blow, swinging his sword at Derrin's chest reflexively as he did. The strike was poorly aimed and Derrin simply batted it away with the palm of his left hand, blade clanging against the thick metal in his glove and deflecting off to the side. Derrin pressed his assault, fists striking at Jaren's chest, neck, and head. However, having sparred with the mage constantly for the past few years, the myrmidon predicted his movements and stepped to the side, ducking a head shot and coming up with his sword in a vertical slash meant to cut Derrin from bottom to top. Fortunately for Derrin, the predictability went both ways and the mage stepped back while placing his hands down by his waist in front of the swords path, one hand on top of the other to help steady it. Again the blade connected with the metal in gloves, the blade forced Derrin's hands up and apart, but it served the purpose of redirecting the sword from slicing him in half to whisking harmlessly in front of him.
The strength of the blow, however, had forced Derrin to stumble backwards now on the defensive, hand met sword stroke as the two friends clashed again and again. Derrin losing ground every step of the way, "Urrrgh, I need time to cast a spell! This is useless, he's going to kill me!" Self doubt distracted the mage for a vital half a second, he tried to dodge when he should have blocked, and Jaren's blade whistled towards his neck.
Suddenly Blossom was there knocking Jaren's sword away and yelling; both combatants hardly took notice of what she was saying and actually started to fight around her as if she was an obstacle. The Sword That Champions Justice flashed out scant centimeters away from her cheek as Jaren tried to stab Derrin. The mage stepped back and the forward, throwing a punch underneath her arm and into the myrmidon's gut. "Oof!" He exhaled as he staggered back, the mage meanwhile crouched down and chanting filled the air as a lightning bolt whizzed from between Blossom's legs. Jaren was unprepared for that and the bolt caught him in the chest, picking him up and throwing him backwards onto the ground as Derrin tried to get past Blossom to continue the fight.Blossom could barely comprehend what was going on around her, eyes wide as her breathing began to hasten. They hadn't even noticed her. They hadn't even noticed her. She could have run in without any form of defense and they wouldn't have even spared her a second glance. She froze in place as Blossom tried to speak, something, anything, but they were still fighting. Jaren's sword just barely avoid slicing through her face, and Derrin threw a punch from under the loop of her arm, but it was the sudden magical burst that blasted between her legs and up to Jaren's chest, kicking up the wind up from below her, that made her snap back to reality.
He's going to kill him! No no no no no no
Her sword hit the ground with a loud clatter, and she instantly turned on Derrin, practically tackling him down to the street, screaming. "Stop! Stop it!" She tried to grab at his wrists, knock the Thunder tome off of his belt and out of reach, maybe, but most importantly she was praying that her tiny self was enough weight to keep Derrin on the ground, chest heaving as she began to hyperventilate, eyes wide and brimming with tears.
"You're supposed to be friends! You two are supposed to be friends and we're fighting a war, dammit! This isn't playtime, this isn't time for you two to start fighting out your stupid, macho problems or beat each other up in retaliation for hurting each other! <******** hell, man, people are dying all around us and you want to add to the body count??" Blossom was pretty much screaming in his face now; maybe that would get him to listen. Maybe he would just complain that she'd spat when in his face on accident. But she was desperate, the tears starting to fall, hands shaking. "People are losing friends and family and people they care about all over Eyris by the second and I can't... I c-can't let you add to that...!"
She thought suddenly of Steely Dan and Ghis, their bodies only identifiable by the ensignias on their armor. The charred remains of homes all over Eyris. Wood burning, clothes suffocating her, two slain figures with expressions of utmost peace on their faces, because they had protected someone who had been worth it.
A lone, lifeless figure, unmoving, unspeaking, waiting for her when she came home.
Blossom's shoulders shook, and she found herself losing her grip on Derrin's wrists, trying desperately to get ahold of herself and failing.
"P-Please. Stop... st-stop fighting...!"Derrin's eyes widened as he found Blossom on top of him for the second time that day; his thunder tome was knocked off of his belt since its holster was loose so he could draw it quickly. He simply stared at her as she screamed at him, blushing with shame and embarrassment. Her tears splashed against his cheeks which only shocked him more, he didn't know what to do and just lay there as she cried.
Jaren meanwhile shakily got to his feet, his shirt was ruined and his cape was singed from the blast but otherwise he was allright, as Derrin's test dummy for new spells he'd gotten used to being blasted by all sorts of magic. Still, that one hurt; he stood watching Blossom and Derrin, chest heaving painfully as he tried to regain his breath.
The mage saw his companion get up and suddenly he knew what had to be done, first he reached up to Blossom and hugged her briefly, pulling back he then used his gloved finger to wipe her tears off of her cheeks gently. "It's okay, Blossom. I... I just want to bring him back." His hands clutched her shoulders as he tried gently, but insistently to push her off of him.Blossom was surprised when she suddenly felt Derrin's arms holding her, but as soon as the sensation was there, it was gone, his hand moving to her face and drying it. She looked at him, eyes still watering. "I just want to bring him back."
The little Hero found herself pushed aside, away from Derrin. Had he listened to her? Was he going to keep going with this? She glanced back at Jaren for a moment, then steeled her expression and scooped her sword up from the ground, holding it defensively before her. She watched Derrin, eyes hard, even as the tears kept coming.
"If you keep fighting him, then you're going to have to get through me." She paused and barked to Jaren, her voice cracking slightly in fear. "Jaren, you too! Dammit, if you two aren't going to listen to me, then I'll make you--""Sorry, Blossom." He whispered.
Derrin cut her off with a mumbled few words and then a crack of thunder directed at her this time while she was talking to Jaren, once she'd got off of him he'd picked up his tome, it seems. He'd purposefully made it low level so as not to hurt her. He just wanted to discourage her from fighting them; this was between the two of them and if Blossom tried getting in-between them she could get hurt for real. Her eyes widened as the Thunder spell connected and sent her flying back a good meter or so, Lysander clattering loudly to the ground. Blossom coughed, laying on her back, and pulled herself upright, rubbing one hand briefly at her sternum. Magical resistance had... never been her strong point. And Thunder had the lovely side effect of having an extra kick to it...
She was pulling herself upright again, though, lifting her sword again. She leveled a hard stare at Derrin, chest heaving. Her stance shook just slightly as she steadied herself again, tightening her grip. "I-I mean it, Derrin. Stop fighting. Or a-are you going to kill me t-to keep going?"He stared sadly back at her, "B-Blossom... I..." Suddenly Jaren was there, sword whipping through the air in Derrin's peripheral vision. He flinched, his hand flying up and barely deflecting the sword as he cringed back and turned to face Jaren. The sword was deflected to the side away from both of their bodies, leaving Jaren completely open. Derrin took his advantage and shouted the incantation for his personal spell, the Lightning Cannon. His other hand was extending in its finger curled way of facilitating the spell, but Jaren knew it had been coming and was pivoting to the side while moving closer to Derrin's body. The five small bolts shot out and dissolved just past Jaren who now had his back to Derrin, the arm with the sword in it curled around Derrin's wrist, trapping it in his armpit and pulling it in a new direction, there was a bang as the second part of the spell activated and the show stopping bolt launched from the air in front of his palm colliding with an unfortunate Learanian.
Derrin growled as he twisted his body, aiming a high kick at Jaren's head. The myrmidon's forearm intercepted the mage's boot, however, hand encircling around his ankle, and quickly he released Derrin's arm, twisting his body and crouching. His free arm swept Derrin's other foot out from under him and the mage came crashing down.
He had time to struggle to his knees before he found Jaren's sword at his throat, immediately Derrin stopped moving. Jaren looked towards Blossom and stared at her.It all happened very quickly. Derrin looked regretful - for what? For fighting? For what he was about to do? - and then Jaren had leaped into the fray, completely intercepting Derrin's attempts and deflecting it to the side. Their burst of combat was over in seconds, Derrin kneeling on the ground with Jaren's sword at his neck.
Blossom stared back at Jaren, eyes wide. Did he actually intend on killing him? She kept her hands on the hilt of her sword and kept her eyes on Jaren's, chest still heaving as she tried to get her breathing back to normal. "Y-You... don't..." she managed. She coughed and pressed the tip of her sword against the street, bracing herself on the guard. The exhaustion and sudden jolt to the heart from Derrin's Thunder spell were all crashing in on her at once. Just a moment, just a moment to get my breath back, and... and I'll be fine. Derrin's eyes shifted from the sword at his neck to look at Blossom. "It's fine, Blossom." He said evenly before sliding his eyes back to Jaren's face. He already knew what the myrmidon meant to do. "I'll find you, Jaren."Jaren tried to flash his happy grin but it seemed empty. "I know!" Then the hilt of his weapon collided with the side of Derrin's head. The blow was strong enough to lift Derrin up a bit before he collapsed.
The myrmidon glanced back at Blossom and fumbled with his belt, saying nothing but tossing the roll of bandages Ali had given him at her.Blossom watched them with wide eyes; even as the collision sent Derrin to the ground, too dulled by pain to do anything else, she gripped the guard of her sword tightly enough to turn her knuckles white under the gloves. It shouldn't have had to end like this, but... she wasn't good enough to stop them.
The mental line of self-beratement halted as Jaren suddenly tossed a roll of bandages to her. She lifted a hand and fumbled momentarily, but caught them and held them close to her sternum, eyes wide. He was very different, now. Serious. Collected.
Hollow?
"Just... t-tell me why." Blossom started to walk towards him, the sword forgotten. Dammit, she wasn't going to stop moving, not now. She kept her hands on the bandages. "Please." "Because some people need a hero, and some people need to be a hero!" he told Blossom while trying to smile again. "Now rest here with him and let the Hero Of Justice take care of everything! You watch over my friends, Wallace!" Before Blossom could reach him, Jaren turned around and ran off, cape fluttering behind him."Yes, but that doesn't.... answer what I wanted to ask--wait!" Blossom tried to lunge at him and entirely failed to reach him, collapsing to the ground in the process. Okay ow that really made the wound from that Thunder spell hurt. Blossom pulled herself back to her feet and watched, wobbly, as Jaren disappeared from sight.
She couldn't tell if she'd failed or not; neither Jaren nor Derrin was dead, she was still alive, even if she was hurt, and they had stopped their stupid battle. For now, at least.
Blossom glanced over to Wallace, then knelt down next to Derrin. She began to unroll the bandages and quietly covered Derrin's wounds, then very carefully pulled him to the side, along the street, and rested his body against her lap. Her sword sat just an arm's reach away. Maybe this time she could actually keep someone safe.
"...Remind me to slug you in the face once you wake up, though," she mumbled, brushing Derrin's hair off of his face.We all have our secrets, we all wear a mask. A persona if you will, to cover our real selves, our shadows, the face that we could not show to society and still appear sane. Not even we know our true nature.

Wallace watched the the battle between the strangely dressed boy and the scrawny mage. They both displayed an astounding amount of skill when they managed to fight around the small, yet strong, girl. When the fight ended and Jaren told him to watch his friends before running off, Wallace walked over to where Blossom was along with Derrin. "Lady Blossom is it? Do you require any assistance? Perhaps you should rest, quite frankly you seem exhausted. I will watch over you and your friend. I may not know what is going on here or even where here is, but I am still quite capable of keeping you from harm."

Blossom looked up from her spot on the ground, hand resting on the side of Derrin's head, as Wallace approached her. She could still remember fighting in Lady Lyndis' army with him, but he definitely didn't remember her. There's lots of weird time stuff going on, so... maybe he comes from a world where I never joined their group...
She smiled, though, and she nodded slightly. "Thank you. You said your name was Wallace, right?" She looked briefly at Derrin and adjusted his resting form against her lap, gently touching the side of his head where the hilt of Jaren's sword had collided with his skull before rummaging around in her bag. 'I'd like that, actually. Thank you. I or someone else can tell you everything about about this place once this fighting has reached a lull or has ended." She finally located a bottle within her bag. The little Hero removed her scarf, dousing one end in cool water before folding the long, long section of cloth into a thick square and rested it on Derrin's head, soaked-side down. Blossom took the opportunity to take a small drink.
And now, all she could do was wait.

xxxxx"Well maybe I'm weak... xxxxxxxand maybe I really am useless..." "But I will still fight on just the same!" xxxxx "Maybe one day I will no longer be invisible..."
The white wyvern was already on his way to Mihira when Zeiss met up with him. When he landed, he brought his snout up close to her face and nudged it a few times. After a while, Mihira twitched and slowly began to open her eyes. She could see a black figure looking down on her, but she couldn't see it as Zeiss. Instead, she made out fluttering white feathered wings in the sky, flying towards the remaining bat lizards.
"Am I... dead?" she weakly whispered. "I... I see an angel..." Of course, what she was really seeing was the arrival of Estarcia's troops, the wings belonging to the pegasi units. She had no idea that they had all just been saved.

While Zeiss had been off saving Mihira, the remaining units that had been under his command had continued to fend off the bat lizards and defending the Fire Dragon. One unit had turned his head, and with a new hope yelled out, "WE ARE SAVED! ALLIED UNITS ARE COMING IN!" This new hope filled the other units and they continued to fight against the bat lizards feeling the chance of victory growing stronger now.
Looking up from where he had been, the wings of the pegasi squads under the command of Estarcia made him smile. Looks like we will have a chance to win after all.
Getting up from where he was, he moved over to check on Mihira. Noticing her eyes were opened his smile merely got a little bigger His life wasn't on the line even more, despite moving away from the job he had been given by Commander Vaida. All right, she's doing ok I believe.
Walking closer to Mihira, he dropped that smile, but not by much. "It's good that you are awake now. That could have been a bad drop that you took. Although, I wasn't about to let you fall to your death. We still need you in this war Mihira. Commander Vaida would have my head. Seems the troops are still working on fighting the bat lizards, and with these pegasus units coming in, I believe we may have a chance to win this war."
He then placed a hand on her shoulder, and then said, "But enough of that. Shall we go and rejoin our fellow units in this war? It wouldn't be too much of a loss if we waited out here a little longer so you could recover. If you were to faint like that in battle again, that wouldn't be good."

Wallace smiled back at her and bowed his head. "Yes, I am Sir Wallace Knight former Commander of Caelin. I would like to know where I am, I seem to have gotten myself lost again. I was entering a door in my home after defeating a group of brigands and somehow ended up in this city." He glanced over his shoulder to see if anyone was approaching.
"Lady Blossom, where did you learn to fight with such a large sword. You have a small frame and it astonishes me that you could lift that sword, much less wield it."

Elder Kusume watched the charge from the top of the hill. She was not to do direct battle, but to tend to the wounded. However, with the fighting having just started, there was none she could heal just yet. Behind her, a line of Adlian druids had formed and were chanting a long ranged attack. Kusume did not like to see fighting, nor did she enjoy engaging in it herself, but she would help her brother in battle however she could. " Eclipse." Her spell along with the other druid's were cast down at the enemy dark mages. ' Spirits, guide this magic. Have it be used in the most effective way." The resistance of the mages could possibly negate serious injury- their guardians, however, were not so fortunate in their strengths. Clyde would find himself in serious peril from Kusume's own magic, something even a mage would have trouble suppressing. There would be no time for more spell casting though, for the Adlian troops were almost upon the enemy and the injured were soon to arrive. Elder Kenafa joined most of the chieftains in surrounding the first wave of cavalry. Their chants and swift movements disoriented the enemy, making it hard to tell how the nomads would attack. While the enemy was focused on their front, they should have been worried about their backs. Their bulk began to dwindle fast. The beating of the drums did their part in increasing the Adlians strength, while decreasing the enemy's accuracy. Along with the drums, a song played by flutes began and combined beautifully with the beating. The effects of the flute playing greatly bolstered not only the Adlian's movement speed, but also their attack speed. Wind Walkers +10 to speed and avoid PLUS NOTHING, BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ARE ******** TOUCHY. neutral And just because it doesn't exist doesn't mean it's broken, your argument is illogical; look at Ganon's songs, thank you. Songhua continued firing arrows at foot soldiers, some of them getting through, some of them getting blocked by the shields. Hit or not, the enemies were still getting psyched out because, well, they were being shot at. The music in the air was helpful in being able to dodge and avoid the siege magic as well as some of the lightning from the commander's lance.
Once the rest of the cavalry was sent out, with an officer amongst them, Songhua chuckled and put his bow away, which was traded for his sword. "Alright brothers, once more!" he shouted. Suddenly, he was alerted to the arrival of Estarcia. "...Well I'll be. Hahwaha! Charge!" The mounted foes collided and very quickly, Songhua found himself before the officer. He flowed like a river around the paladin and then slashed at an opening at his side as he flashed by.

(Uh, +10 speed is ridiculously ******** broken. More broken than +10 Power, +10 Skill, +10 Crit, or +10 Defense, or even some of those combined. Especially on top of every other boost going on. And speed contributes to Avoid anyway. Just sayin’)IT DON'T EXIST IN ANY GAME FOR A REASON. THAT IS ALL. Still love ya~ Avery observed the battle between hir own units and the Adlians as it went on. As it turned out, they were being outperformed by savages! Savages! Even one of hir best, people, Wedge, talented enough to get a name, had taken a hit from one of the Adlians (even if he was certainly holding his own against the regular Adlians). The thought of it, coupled with its actual manifestation was throwing hir into a rage. Zhe unleashed another bolt of lightning which struck and killed one of the Bards playing music, but by this point, zhe realized their defeat was immiment. With those defending the magic users under attack from dark magic as well, things were looking worse than ever. While the healers could heal their defenders, it still made things look all the grimmer. Avery had been hoping the arrival of the rest of hir troops would turn the tide of the battle, and perhaps it would influence the outcome, but seeing how the two groups were fighting against each other, it didn’t look as though it would matter in the end – not enough to change the outcome. Zhe had lost, had failed hir beloved Baroness. The first informant to approach hir immediately after Avery had realized this truth suffered the misfortune of Avery sticking hir Killer Lance through their guts. But ever the pragmatist, Avery always had a plan should zhe ever foresee hir own defeat in a battle; someone was sent to inform Rosencrantz to inform the Druid that the commander had determined their loss in this battle was inevitable. Soon later, informants who meant to give reports to Avery would find that the Halberdier was nowhere to be seen, as though zhe had completely disappeared from the battle. And that was exactly what had happened; Rosencrantz had Warped hir away and himself and Guildenstern soon after, leaving the troops without any leaders of substantial rank. But the battle would have been lost anyway, and Avery couldn’t serve the Baroness if zhe died. Not even in death if the death wouldn’t make an impact. Hir troops? Not as important. They were expendable by comparison, really. Honor? What’s that? This. Is. MORDACHE. What were you expecting? After Avery had disappeared from the frey, Thelma and her crew of Bow Knights had arrived on the scene and began returning the rain of arrows back at the Adlians. It wouldn't be enough, but it would mean more casualties and senseless deaths. Fewer Adliana natives would survive this battle as a result. As they had imagined, the path to Eyris was indeed a long and treacherous one; Blythe, Soren, and company were literally surrounded by enemies while they rode on towards Eyris. The only thing that was saving them from being surrounded and stuck was the fact that the troops were faced forward and headed to Eyris as well. At least that’s was Blythe thought. He didn’t dare look backwards to see if they were being pursued, which was a very real possibility. As Blythe was occupied with grasping Cesario’s reigns, nudging the horse to get them to their destination as quickly as possible, if they did need to deal with anyone, hopefully Soren was in a position to use his Tomes. As a Troubadour, Blythe certainly wouldn’t be able to deal with anyone in direct combat, obviously – he was fortunate to have the companions he had at the time being.
As they were nearing the Gate, an enormous blast of lightning struck down. Blythe couldn’t tell what it had struck from where they were at, but everyone on the battlefield seemed to be moving a lot faster afterwards, so apparently the Gate was open. This meant the Mordacheans would be flowing in much more freely, but it also meant they’d have an easier time getting in as well… where all the Mordacheans who had gotten in would be as well. At least they were getting closer. An edge of light indicating the rising Sun could be seen in the far distance by now as well. So much going on at once.

Blossom nodded once, brushing Derrin's hair carefully away from his face. "That's how most people get here, actually. At least, how they get to Learania." She looked up to Wallace, offering him a little smile. She could explain how she had actually already known him later, but for now, keeping Derrin protected was a priority.

(( EDWARD IS BACK!!! ))
A young man ran on the beaten path to Elyris. He had been left behind again. "Bandits everywhere!" The brown haired youth wiped the blood and sweat off his face as he continued on the road. He was being ambushed left and right at a lot of different points on the road. Another bandit jumped out of the bushes brandishing his axe. "When will they learn?" Edward sidestepped and quickly dispatched the bandit with a quick stab to his lungs. Another two bandits came at him in a pincer claw formation. Edward pulled out his Storm Sword and quickly dispatched both of them with two swift wind strikes. He looked around, no more bandits.
He ran down the road and finally the city was in view. "W-what?" There was fighting everywhere. He scanned to see if he could spot his allies. But no one familiar was in sight. He finally spotted a young man with a blueish hair. He recognized him from the the camp. He started towards her but a bandit roared as he rushed at Edward. Edward rolled out of the way of a chop and stabbed upwards into the Bandit's throat silencing him. "Geez, they're everywhere." He ran towards the blue haired man and another bandit intercepted him. Edward parried an axe swing and spun his sword around once. The Myrmidon slashed through him, leaving the bandit with a gaping stomach wound. Edward growled annoyed.
He finally reached Oujay from the left side panting hard. He had opened a path for anyone behind him but he had become slow about half way through and received several small wounds. He used a vulunery on himself and wiped the blood off his Wo Dao. "Hello there."

Wallace turned his head back to Blossom and smiled, "I would suggest a sparring match to gauge your skill, however I don't believe that would be a terribly wise thing to do at this time considering the circumstances." With that he let out a short laugh before turning back to watch for enemies. Upon Turning he noticed a large number of Mordache soldiers coming down the street. He turned back to Blossom, "Are those guys on our side? If not then we need to move back because I think my weapons will break before I can kill all of them."

"...Not nearly enough." The fire balls came at Drake first and were dodged with ease. The soldiers, men who were now scared half shitless, weren't much better. A block with the broad side of the blade, followed by a twirl sent one soldier back into a pillar. The lance of another was intercepted and pushed up, which allowed Drake to plunge the blade into his gut. The soldier fell to the ground, dropping his spear. Two more were right on top of him, but Drake blocked one and then pivoted away from the other, while forcing the weapon of the one he had blocked down. With the weapon down, Drake kicked the soldier back and then slashed him while in a spin that allowed him to be facing the other soldier. He glanced to the side and saw that the one he kicked into the pillar was back up. Drake focused back on the other soldier and easily avoided the thrust, then slashed his side. The thrust had gotten in the way of the soldier coming from the side, which allowed Drake to get him by surprise and kick him back into the same pillar. One final soldier was looking for an opening and when she thought she found one (the conniving little b***h), she lunged forward. However, her attack fell short as Drake's blade knocked her lance to the side. Drake then grabbed her by the throat and shoved her back to collide with another fire ball. He avoided the other by rolling to the side.
When he got up, he grabbed one of the fallen soldier's spears, aimed carefully, and then threw it at one of the mages, skewering one that was in mid-chant. When Drake looked back to the soldier that he had knocked into the pillar twice, he was up and limping forward. Drake began speed walk towards him and the soldier backed up out of fear. He backed up so far that he was startled when his back hit the pillar and looked behind him. This distraction secured his end and looked back just in time for the bandit's blade to seep into him.
Drake looked at the remaining mages and charged towards them. He avoided another fire ball, but that put him in the path of the old man's arcfire. He reared back at the last second and the spell ultimately exploded in front of him. The heat singed his coat and skin and reminded Drake again of just how much he hated magic- and the old man's power was far more than a lot of other mage's. His fingers stung from the burning, but he was fortunate that his sword had kept that burning from getting to the rest of him. As he leaped through the smoke, the second mage jumped in front of the old man and cast another fire ball forward. Drake spun to the side and slashed the mage upwards. As the body fell, and the blood sprayed, Drake swung powerfully at the old man.

Even an arcfire could not hinder the man! He was simply too clever and his swordsmanship had been dangerously mastered. Lord Zeon began to cast another spell that would hopefully hit, since the bandit had gotten closer, but there was no time. All the soldiers were slain and all the mages had fallen. He could not finish the spell in time to cast it! Lord Zeon stopped chanting and sneered as the blade came swinging at him and quickly banged his came on the ground.
A barrier shot up in front of the noble and blocked the massive sword. All his remaining power was going into sustaining it, but the pressure behind the sword had already made a big crack. His eyes locked with the bandit's and he suddenly understood why he wielded the name the Serpent Fang. His intensity was suffocating. The crack grew and branched off into many smaller ones. Lord Zeon knew he could not hold him back. "... ...Your highness-!"
The sword suddenly broke through the barrier and slashed upwards across his body. Blood flew into the air and mixed the disintegrating particles of magic as the head noble fell backwards and rolled onto his side. The cane slipped from his hands and rolled off of his body. There was no more protection for the king.

Drake watched the old man fall and then slowly turned to the king. He gripped his sword and let it drag across the tile as he paced in front of the throne. He didn't say anything at first and instead just looked the kid over. Eventually, he stopped on the carpet directly in front and chuckled while he shook his head. "Look at you. I mean seriously! You are the leader of a country!" He laughed mockingly. "It's pathetic!" he insulted within a mixture of chuckles. "And the best part is that you were just a tool." He raised a brow and then motioned with his hand as if to call for his understanding to catch up to him. "You do realize that, don't you? That you were a tool? You can't possibly believe that you actually deserved to become king!" His chuckled mixed with his words again. "I mean... you're like, what, ten? You let yourself get pushed around into destroying your own country!" Drake grinned widely and placed his hand over his heart. "I should really thank you, too, because the truth is that if it wasn't for you being a complete moron, I wouldn't have been able to get this far! You've played your part quite well. So how's it feel, kid? Everyone that's died, the destruction of Learania; it's all... your... fault!" He stared at the kid and shook his head as he laughed.
