You are so welcome Zillah and thank you so much I missed you greatly. I am afraid that it has been quite some time since I taught...and I taught Defense against the Dark arts. Transfig is not my best subject. Thank you <3

So Professor Zillah, what do you have planned for us to do this week? I ask eagerly.

He walked into the room, his jet black robes trailing behind him silently, like an elegant Geisha. His face was perfection, his pose strong, and he had the body that looked like it was chisled by the gods. He had a bit of a manly veela flair to him. "I am Vladimir Javok, a new 7th year student to Hogvarts." he said, his russian voice like silk over their skin. Vladimir skimmed over the classroom and saw many women in the room. He gave them all a tiny flirtacious smile and sat down in an empty chair. "I transfered from Durmstrang to be educated here a Hogvarts, did I miss much?"

Zillah smiles at Headmaster Sing.

You don't give yourself enough credit! I was preparing the students for this very lesson the start right before I was called away. I would have loved to sit in your DADA class though, I must say.

She smiles at the welcome she received from her students

I suppose I owe you all an explanation for my absence.

She hopped onto her desktop and gazed out at her class before shaking her head and starting her tale.

In the week leading up to Halloween, the Ministry called upon me with quite the conundrum. There was a spike in muggle children reported missing and an equal increase in stray kittens and polliwogs that seemed to be stalking out homes of said missing children.

It's nearly impossible to transfigure something back into it's original form without a vivid picture of the entire figure. Many members of the Ministry Emergency Response Team as well as myself had to expose magic to every parent. We later had to wipe their memories, not that anyone would have believed them, but you can never be too careful.

Zillah's usual warm persona dropped a few degrees as she continued.

I do ask, that if anyone knows who is responsible to come tell me. Should I be speaking to the guilty party at this time, please come see my after class. It would be better to tell me yourself than to have me find out.

She clasped her hands together, now back in her usual high spirits.

I see that we have a new transfer student. I hope I am not the first to welcome you to our class. We have been covering the basics of transfiguration. Should you feel you need additional help, don't hesitate to ask.

As if remembering that she had to teach her new lesson, Zillah hopped off her desk and rustled around in her top most desk drawer. She emerged after a few minutes with two separate containers.

Now that it seems you've mastered the basics of metamorphic transfiguration, I think switching spells should be next on the list.

I'm sure than many of you, especially those that come from a family with at least one muggle, have heard the saying "It's like comparing apples to oranges." Well, today, that's just what we're doing.

In the first container, I have apple and in the second, oranges.

Since this is the first time many, if not all of you, have been introduced to switching spells, the closer they are together, the easier it will be to have a successful trial early on.

As a demonstration, Zillah placed both the apple and orange only an inch from one another on her desk and stepped behind it so everyone could see.

She waved her wand in an grandiose loop from the top of the apple to the bottom of the orange and muttered Transvorto loud enough for her students to hear.

The pieces of fruit seemed to shiver in place for a couple seconds before the red, taunt skin of the apple became orange and dimpled while the orange inversely followed suit.

As I've said before, it's important for you to visualize every detail so the transfiguration is complete.

A quick slicing charm was performed on both pieces of fruit to reveal that the insides matched the flesh on the exterior.

Zillah smiled as she walked around the room, passing each student their own apple and orange, as well as a section of each fruit for them to munch on as they pleased.

I wish you all the best of luck. If you have questions, please don't be afraid to ask. It gets rather dull just standing here all lecture.

Points awarded to those that have mastered the lesson:

Liviana wondered to herself why anyone would delight turning a frightened child into another form. Muggle families (most at least) loved their children as much as wizarding families. How cruel could someone be?

She rose from her desk and glided to the front of the room to take a slice of the apple, and to get her own apple and orange. As she popped it into her mouth, the familiar sweet, and heavenly taste of the blood-red fruit brought her mind back to better days. Munching on it, she thought it was better than another piece of chocolate. She slowly made her way back to her seat to complete the lesson.

Smiling, Heart places her two fruit only two inches apart on her dest to start out. She then closes her eyes, imagining the apple and the orange. Her concentration is broken as she shakes her head. Taking a bite of the slice of apple given to her to munch on, she tries again once more. Okay Heart, you can get this. Apple... orange... orange... apple...The student suddenly opens her eyes, and with a loop of her wand from the top of her apple to the bottom of her orange, she casts, " Transvorto."

Hmm...it didn't work, so let's try this again. After two more times of repeating the same process, her apple and orange quiver slightly before the apple becomes orange and indented, and the orange becomes red and smooth.

Heart lets out a sigh of relief, but then notices a fellow Housemate. "Livinia! I heard what happened...are you feeling better?" she asks in a hushed whisper.

Liviana glanced over at Heart. "I'm better...I'm still a bit out of it, but I'll get over it. School helps me forget about it. Thanks for asking though. It means a lot!", Liviana whispered back. She smiled. It was good to know that someone cared.
